ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤਪਤਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
सीतलु हरि हरि नामु सिमरत तपति जाइ ॥३॥
Sīṯal har har nām simraṯ ṯapaṯ jā▫e. ||3||
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is soothing and cool; remembering it in meditation, the inner fire is quenched. ||3||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਾ
सूख सहज आनंद घणा नानक जन धूरा ॥
Sūkẖ sahj ānanḏ gẖaṇā Nānak jan ḏẖūrā.
Peace, poise, and immense bliss, O Nanak, are obtained, when one becomes the dust of the feet of the humble servants of the Lord.

ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਏ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੧੨॥
कारज सगले सिधि भए भेटिआ गुरु पूरा ॥४॥१०॥११२॥
Kāraj sagle siḏẖ bẖa▫e bẖeti▫ā gur pūrā. ||4||10||112||
All of one's affairs are perfectly resolved, meeting with the Perfect Guru. ||4||10||112||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ
गोबिंदु गुणी निधानु गुरमुखि जाणीऐ ॥
Gobinḏ guṇī niḏẖān gurmukẖ jāṇī▫ai.
The Lord of the Universe is the treasure of excellence; He is known only to the Gurmukh.

ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਐ ॥੧॥
होइ क्रिपालु दइआलु हरि रंगु माणीऐ ॥१॥
Ho▫e kirpāl ḏa▫i▫āl har rang māṇī▫ai. ||1||
When He shows His Mercy and Kindness, we revel in the Lord's Love. ||1||

ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਹ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ
आवहु संत मिलाह हरि कथा कहाणीआ ॥
Āvhu sanṯ milāh har kathā kahāṇī▫ā.
Come, O Saints - let us join together and speak the Sermon of the Lord.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਲੋਕਾਣੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
अनदिनु सिमरह नामु तजि लाज लोकाणीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
An▫ḏin simrėh nām ṯaj lāj lokāṇī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Night and day, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and ignore the criticism of others. ||1||Pause||

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ
जपि जपि जीवा नामु होवै अनदु घणा ॥
Jap jap jīvā nām hovai anaḏ gẖaṇā.
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam, and so I obtain immense bliss.

ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਵਿਣਸਣਾ ॥੨॥
मिथिआ मोहु संसारु झूठा विणसणा ॥२॥
Mithi▫ā moh sansār jẖūṯẖā viṇsaṇā. ||2||
Attachment to the world is useless and vain; it is false, and perishes in the end. ||2||

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਲਾਇਆ
चरण कमल संगि नेहु किनै विरलै लाइआ ॥
Cẖaraṇ kamal sang nehu kinai virlai lā▫i▫ā.
How rare are those who embrace love for the Lord's Lotus Feet.

ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
धंनु सुहावा मुखु जिनि हरि धिआइआ ॥३॥
Ḏẖan suhāvā mukẖ jin har ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā. ||3||
Blessed and beautiful is that mouth, which meditates on the Lord. ||3||

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਵਈ
जनम मरण दुख काल सिमरत मिटि जावई ॥
Janam maraṇ ḏukẖ kāl simraṯ mit jāv▫ī.
The pains of birth, death and reincarnation are erased by meditating on the Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੋਇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੧੩॥
नानक कै सुखु सोइ जो प्रभ भावई ॥४॥११॥११३॥
Nānak kai sukẖ so▫e jo parabẖ bẖāv▫ī. ||4||11||113||
That alone is Nanak's joy, which is pleasing to God. ||4||11||113||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਆਵਹੁ ਮੀਤ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਇ ਰਸ ਕਸ ਸਭਿ ਭੁੰਚਹ
आवहु मीत इकत्र होइ रस कस सभि भुंचह ॥
Āvhu mīṯ ikaṯar ho▫e ras kas sabẖ bẖuncẖah.
Come, O friends: let us meet together and enjoy all the tastes and flavors.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਪਾ ਮੁੰਚਹ ॥੧॥
अम्रित नामु हरि हरि जपह मिलि पापा मुंचह ॥१॥
Amriṯ nām har har japah mil pāpā muncẖah. ||1||
Let us join together and chant the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and so wipe away our sins. ||1||

ਤਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਲਾਗੈ
ततु वीचारहु संत जनहु ता ते बिघनु न लागै ॥
Ŧaṯ vīcẖārahu sanṯ janhu ṯā ṯe bigẖan na lāgai.
Reflect upon the essence of reality, O Saintly beings, and no troubles shall afflict you.

ਖੀਨ ਭਏ ਸਭਿ ਤਸਕਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
खीन भए सभि तसकरा गुरमुखि जनु जागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kẖīn bẖa▫e sabẖ ṯaskarā gurmukẖ jan jāgai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
All of the thieves shall be destroyed, as the Gurmukhs remain wakeful. ||1||Pause||

ਬੁਧਿ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੈਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰਹੁ
बुधि गरीबी खरचु लैहु हउमै बिखु जारहु ॥
Buḏẖ garībī kẖaracẖ laihu ha▫umai bikẖ jārahu.
Take wisdom and humility as your supplies, and burn away the poison of pride.

ਸਾਚਾ ਹਟੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਉਦਾ ਵਖਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਹੁ ॥੨॥
साचा हटु पूरा सउदा वखरु नामु वापारहु ॥२॥
Sācẖā hat pūrā sa▫uḏā vakẖar nām vāpārahu. ||2||
True is that shop, and perfect the transaction; deal only in the merchandise of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਧਨੁ ਅਰਪਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੇ
जीउ पिंडु धनु अरपिआ सेई पतिवंते ॥
Jī▫o pind ḏẖan arpi▫ā se▫ī paṯivanṯe.
They alone are accepted and approved, who dedicate their souls, bodies and wealth.

ਆਪਨੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਤੇ ॥੩॥
आपनड़े प्रभ भाणिआ नित केल करंते ॥३॥
Āpnaṛe parabẖ bẖāṇi▫ā niṯ kel karanṯe. ||3||
Those who are pleasing to their God, celebrate in happiness. ||3||

ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਦੁ ਜੋ ਪੀਵਤੇ ਬਿਖਲੀ ਪਤਿ ਕਮਲੀ
दुरमति मदु जो पीवते बिखली पति कमली ॥
Ḏurmaṯ maḏ jo pīvṯe bikẖlī paṯ kamlī.
Those fools, who drink in the wine of evil-mindedness, become the husbands of prostitutes.

ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚ ਅਮਲੀ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੧੪॥
राम रसाइणि जो रते नानक सच अमली ॥४॥१२॥११४॥
Rām rasā▫iṇ jo raṯe Nānak sacẖ amlī. ||4||12||114||
But those who are imbued with the sublime essence of the Lord, O Nanak, are intoxicated with the Truth. ||4||12||114||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਉਦਮੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਆਰੰਭੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ
उदमु कीआ कराइआ आर्मभु रचाइआ ॥
Uḏam kī▫ā karā▫i▫ā ārambẖ racẖā▫i▫ā.
I made the effort; I did it, and made a beginning.

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
नामु जपे जपि जीवणा गुरि मंत्रु द्रिड़ाइआ ॥१॥
Nām jape jap jīvṇā gur manṯar driṛ▫ā▫i▫ā. ||1||
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam. The Guru has implanted this Mantra within me. ||1||

ਪਾਇ ਪਰਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਆ
पाइ परह सतिगुरू कै जिनि भरमु बिदारिआ ॥
Pā▫e parah saṯgurū kai jin bẖaram biḏāri▫ā.
I fall at the Feet of the True Guru, who has dispelled my doubts.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
करि किरपा प्रभि आपणी सचु साजि सवारिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kar kirpā parabẖ āpṇī sacẖ sāj savāri▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Bestowing His Mercy, God has dressed me, and decorated me with the Truth. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਚੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ
करु गहि लीने आपणे सचु हुकमि रजाई ॥
Kar gėh līne āpṇe sacẖ hukam rajā▫ī.
Taking me by the hand, He made me His own, through the True Order of His Command.

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੨॥
जो प्रभि दिती दाति सा पूरन वडिआई ॥२॥
Jo parabẖ ḏiṯī ḏāṯ sā pūran vadi▫ā▫ī. ||2||
That gift which God gave to me, is perfect greatness. ||2||

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਅਹਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ
सदा सदा गुण गाईअहि जपि नामु मुरारी ॥
Saḏā saḏā guṇ gā▫ī▫ah jap nām murārī.
Forever and ever, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and chant the Name of the Destroyer of ego.

ਨੇਮੁ ਨਿਬਾਹਿਓ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
नेमु निबाहिओ सतिगुरू प्रभि किरपा धारी ॥३॥
Nem nibāhi▫o saṯgurū parabẖ kirpā ḏẖārī. ||3||
My vows have been honored, by the Grace of God and the True Guru, who has showered His Mercy. ||3||

ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਲਾਭੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤਾ
नामु धनु गुण गाउ लाभु पूरै गुरि दिता ॥
Nām ḏẖan guṇ gā▫o lābẖ pūrai gur ḏiṯā.
The Perfect Guru has given the wealth of the Naam, and the profit of singing the Lord's Glorious Praises.

ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਹੁ ਅਮਿਤਾ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੧੫॥
वणजारे संत नानका प्रभु साहु अमिता ॥४॥१३॥११५॥
vaṇjāre sanṯ nānkā parabẖ sāhu amiṯā. ||4||13||115||
The Saints are the traders, O Nanak, and the Infinite Lord God is their Banker. ||4||13||115||

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੁਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ
जा का ठाकुरु तुही प्रभ ता के वडभागा ॥
Jā kā ṯẖākur ṯuhī parabẖ ṯā ke vadbẖāgā.
One who has You as His Master, O God, is blessed with great destiny.

ਓਹੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਸਦ ਸੁਖੀ ਸਭੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ॥੧॥
ओहु सुहेला सद सुखी सभु भ्रमु भउ भागा ॥१॥
Oh suhelā saḏ sukẖī sabẖ bẖaram bẖa▫o bẖāgā. ||1||
He is happy, and forever at peace; his doubts and fears are all dispelled. ||1||

ਹਮ ਚਾਕਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਰਾ
हम चाकर गोबिंद के ठाकुरु मेरा भारा ॥
Ham cẖākar gobinḏ ke ṯẖākur merā bẖārā.
I am the slave of the Lord of the Universe; my Master is the greatest of all.

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
करन करावन सगल बिधि सो सतिगुरू हमारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karan karāvan sagal biḏẖ so saṯgurū hamārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He is the Creator, the Cause of causes; He is my True Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਉਰੁ ਕੋ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਕਰੀਐ
दूजा नाही अउरु को ता का भउ करीऐ ॥
Ḏūjā nāhī a▫or ko ṯā kā bẖa▫o karī▫ai.
There is no other whom I should fear.
