ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੰਨੇ ਆਪਿ ਸੋਈ ਮਾਨੀਐ
जिस नो मंने आपि सोई मानीऐ ॥
Jis no manne āp so▫ī mānī▫ai.
Those whom You approve, are approved.

ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੩॥
प्रगट पुरखु परवाणु सभ ठाई जानीऐ ॥३॥
Pargat purakẖ parvāṇ sabẖ ṯẖā▫ī jānī▫ai. ||3||
Such a celebrated and honored person is known everywhere. ||3||

ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ ਸਾਹ ਸਾਹ
दिनसु रैणि आराधि सम्हाले साह साह ॥
Ḏinas raiṇ ārāḏẖ samĥāle sāh sāh.
Day and night, with every breath to worship and adore the Lord -

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੦੮॥
नानक की लोचा पूरि सचे पातिसाह ॥४॥६॥१०८॥
Nānak kī locẖā pūr sacẖe pāṯisāh. ||4||6||108||
please, O True Supreme King, fulfill this, Nanak's desire. ||4||6||108||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਇ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਸੋਇ
पूरि रहिआ स्रब ठाइ हमारा खसमु सोइ ॥
Pūr rahi▫ā sarab ṯẖā▫e hamārā kẖasam so▫e.
He, my Lord Master, is fully pervading all places.

ਏਕੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਛਤੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹਿ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
एकु साहिबु सिरि छतु दूजा नाहि कोइ ॥१॥
Ėk sāhib sir cẖẖaṯ ḏūjā nāhi ko▫e. ||1||
He is the One Lord Master, the roof over our heads; there is no other than Him. ||1||

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖੁ ਰਾਖਣਹਾਰਿਆ
जिउ भावै तिउ राखु राखणहारिआ ॥
Ji▫o bẖāvai ṯi▫o rākẖ rākẖaṇhāri▫ā.
As it pleases Your Will, please save me, O Savior Lord.

ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਇ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
तुझ बिनु अवरु न कोइ नदरि निहारिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧujẖ bin avar na ko▫e naḏar nihāri▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Without You, my eyes see no other at all. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸਾਰੀਐ
प्रतिपाले प्रभु आपि घटि घटि सारीऐ ॥
Parṯipāle parabẖ āp gẖat gẖat sārī▫ai.
God Himself is the Cherisher; He takes care of each and every heart.

ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਪਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥੨॥
जिसु मनि वुठा आपि तिसु न विसारीऐ ॥२॥
Jis man vuṯẖā āp ṯis na visārī▫ai. ||2||
That person, within whose mind You Yourself dwell, never forgets You. ||2||

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਣ ਭਾਣਿਆ
जो किछु करे सु आपि आपण भाणिआ ॥
Jo kicẖẖ kare so āp āpaṇ bẖāṇi▫ā.
He does that which is pleasing to Himself.

ਭਗਤਾ ਕਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
भगता का सहाई जुगि जुगि जाणिआ ॥३॥
Bẖagṯā kā sahā▫ī jug jug jāṇi▫ā. ||3||
He is known as the help and support of His devotees, throughout the ages. ||3||

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਦੇ ਝੂਰੀਐ
जपि जपि हरि का नामु कदे न झूरीऐ ॥
Jap jap har kā nām kaḏe na jẖūrī▫ai.
Chanting and meditating up the Lord's Name, the mortal never comes to regret anything.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰੀਐ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੦੯॥
नानक दरस पिआस लोचा पूरीऐ ॥४॥७॥१०९॥
Nānak ḏaras pi▫ās locẖā pūrī▫ai. ||4||7||109||
O Nanak, I thirst for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; please, fulfill my desire, O Lord. ||4||7||109||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਿਆ ਸੋਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਗਾਫਲ ਗਹਿਲਿਆ
किआ सोवहि नामु विसारि गाफल गहिलिआ ॥
Ki▫ā sovėh nām visār gāfal gahili▫ā.
Why are you sleeping, and forgetting the Name, O careless and foolish mortal?

ਕਿਤੀ ਇਤੁ ਦਰੀਆਇ ਵੰਞਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਵਹਦਿਆ ॥੧॥
कितीं इतु दरीआइ वंञन्हि वहदिआ ॥१॥
Kiṯīʼn iṯ ḏarī▫ā▫e vaʼnñniĥ vėhḏi▫ā. ||1||
So many have been washed away and carried off by this river of life. ||1||

ਬੋਹਿਥੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਮਨ ਚੜਿ ਲੰਘੀਐ
बोहिथड़ा हरि चरण मन चड़ि लंघीऐ ॥
Bohithṛā har cẖaraṇ man cẖaṛ langẖī▫ai.
O mortal, get aboard the boat of the Lord's Lotus Feet, and cross over.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
आठ पहर गुण गाइ साधू संगीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Āṯẖ pahar guṇ gā▫e sāḏẖū sangī▫ai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Twenty-four hours a day, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||

ਭੋਗਹਿ ਭੋਗ ਅਨੇਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸੁੰਞਿਆ
भोगहि भोग अनेक विणु नावै सुंञिआ ॥
Bẖogėh bẖog anek viṇ nāvai suñi▫ā.
You may enjoy various pleasures, but they are useless without the Name.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਰੁੰਨਿਆ ॥੨॥
हरि की भगति बिना मरि मरि रुंनिआ ॥२॥
Har kī bẖagaṯ binā mar mar runni▫ā. ||2||
Without devotion to the Lord, you shall die in sorrow, again and again. ||2||

ਕਪੜ ਭੋਗ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਤਨਿ ਮਰਦਨ ਮਾਲਣਾ
कपड़ भोग सुगंध तनि मरदन मालणा ॥
Kapaṛ bẖog suganḏẖ ṯan marḏan mālṇā.
You may dress and eat and apply scented oils to your body,

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤਨੁ ਛਾਰੁ ਸਰਪਰ ਚਾਲਣਾ ॥੩॥
बिनु सिमरन तनु छारु सरपर चालणा ॥३॥
Bin simran ṯan cẖẖār sarpar cẖālṇā. ||3||
but without the meditative remembrance of the Lord, your body shall surely turn to dust, and you shall have to depart. ||3||

ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਪੇਖਿਆ
महा बिखमु संसारु विरलै पेखिआ ॥
Mahā bikẖam sansār virlai pekẖi▫ā.
How very treacherous is this world-ocean; how very few realize this!

ਛੂਟਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਲੇਖਿਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੧੦॥
छूटनु हरि की सरणि लेखु नानक लेखिआ ॥४॥८॥११०॥
Cẖẖūtan har kī saraṇ lekẖ Nānak lekẖi▫ā. ||4||8||110||
Salvation rests in the Lord's Sanctuary; O Nanak, this is your pre-ordained destiny. ||4||8||110||

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਕੋਇ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਗਰਬੀਐ
कोइ न किस ही संगि काहे गरबीऐ ॥
Ko▫e na kis hī sang kāhe garbī▫ai.
No one is anyone's companion; why take any pride in others?

ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਬੀਐ ॥੧॥
एकु नामु आधारु भउजलु तरबीऐ ॥१॥
Ėk nām āḏẖār bẖa▫ojal ṯarbī▫ai. ||1||
With the Support of the One Name, this terrible world-ocean is crossed over. ||1||

ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਚੁ ਟੇਕ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ
मै गरीब सचु टेक तूं मेरे सतिगुर पूरे ॥
Mai garīb sacẖ tek ṯūʼn mere saṯgur pūre.
You are the True Support of me, the poor mortal, O my Perfect True Guru.

ਦੇਖਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਦਰਸਨੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
देखि तुम्हारा दरसनो मेरा मनु धीरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏekẖ ṯumĥārā ḏarsano merā man ḏẖīre. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, my mind is encouraged. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ਕਾਜਿ ਕਿਤੈ ਗਨੋੁ
राजु मालु जंजालु काजि न कितै गनो ॥
Rāj māl janjāl kāj na kiṯai gano.
Royal powers, wealth, and worldly involvements are of no use at all.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਏਹੁ ਧਨੋੁ ॥੨॥
हरि कीरतनु आधारु निहचलु एहु धनो ॥२॥
Har kīrṯan āḏẖār nihcẖal ehu ḏẖano. ||2||
The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is my Support; this wealth is everlasting. ||2||

ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਤੇਤ ਪਛਾਵਿਆ
जेते माइआ रंग तेत पछाविआ ॥
Jeṯe mā▫i▫ā rang ṯeṯ pacẖẖāvi▫ā.
As many as are the pleasures of Maya, so many are the shadows they leave.

ਸੁਖ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਵਿਆ ॥੩॥
सुख का नामु निधानु गुरमुखि गाविआ ॥३॥
Sukẖ kā nām niḏẖān gurmukẖ gāvi▫ā. ||3||
The Gurmukhs sing of the Naam, the treasure of peace. ||3||

ਸਚਾ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੇ
सचा गुणी निधानु तूं प्रभ गहिर ग्मभीरे ॥
Sacẖā guṇī niḏẖān ṯūʼn parabẖ gahir gambẖīre.
You are the True Lord, the treasure of excellence; O God, You are deep and unfathomable.

ਆਸ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਜੀਅਰੇ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੧੧॥
आस भरोसा खसम का नानक के जीअरे ॥४॥९॥१११॥
Ās bẖarosā kẖasam kā Nānak ke jī▫are. ||4||9||111||
The Lord Master is the hope and support of Nanak's mind. ||4||9||111||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ

ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ
जिसु सिमरत दुखु जाइ सहज सुखु पाईऐ ॥
Jis simraṯ ḏukẖ jā▫e sahj sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai.
Remembering Him, suffering is removed, and celestial peace is obtained.

ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥
रैणि दिनसु कर जोड़ि हरि हरि धिआईऐ ॥१॥
Raiṇ ḏinas kar joṛ har har ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai. ||1||
Night and day, with your palms pressed together, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ
नानक का प्रभु सोइ जिस का सभु कोइ ॥
Nānak kā parabẖ so▫e jis kā sabẖ ko▫e.
He alone is Nanak's God, unto whom all beings belong.

ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सरब रहिआ भरपूरि सचा सचु सोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sarab rahi▫ā bẖarpūr sacẖā sacẖ so▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He is totally pervading everywhere, the Truest of the True. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਗਿਆਨ ਜੋਗੁ
अंतरि बाहरि संगि सहाई गिआन जोगु ॥
Anṯar bāhar sang sahā▫ī gi▫ān jog.
Inwardly and outwardly, He is my companion and my helper; He is the One to be realized.

ਤਿਸਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਮਨਾ ਬਿਨਾਸੈ ਸਗਲ ਰੋਗੁ ॥੨॥
तिसहि अराधि मना बिनासै सगल रोगु ॥२॥
Ŧisėh arāḏẖ manā bināsai sagal rog. ||2||
Adoring Him, my mind is cured of all its ailments. ||2||

ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਾਹਿ
राखनहारु अपारु राखै अगनि माहि ॥
Rākẖanhār apār rākẖai agan māhi.
The Savior Lord is infinite; He saves us from the fire of the womb.
