ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਰੈ ਧੰਨੁ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
तिन की सेवा धरम राइ करै धंनु सवारणहारु ॥२॥
Ŧin kī sevā ḏẖaram rā▫e karai ḏẖan savāraṇhār. ||2||
The Righteous Judge of Dharma serves them; blessed is the Lord who adorns them. ||2||

ਮਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਨਹਿ ਤਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਚੂਕੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ
मन के बिकार मनहि तजै मनि चूकै मोहु अभिमानु ॥
Man ke bikār manėh ṯajai man cẖūkai moh abẖimān.
One who eliminates mental wickedness from within the mind, and casts out emotional attachment and egotistical pride,

ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨੁ
आतम रामु पछाणिआ सहजे नामि समानु ॥
Āṯam rām pacẖẖāṇi▫ā sėhje nām samān.
comes to recognize the All-pervading Soul, and is intuitively absorbed into the Naam.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਫਿਰੈ ਦਿਵਾਨੁ
बिनु सतिगुर मुकति न पाईऐ मनमुखि फिरै दिवानु ॥
Bin saṯgur mukaṯ na pā▫ī▫ai manmukẖ firai ḏivān.
Without the True Guru, the self-willed manmukhs do not find liberation; they wander around like lunatics.

ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨੈ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਨੀ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
सबदु न चीनै कथनी बदनी करे बिखिआ माहि समानु ॥३॥
Sabaḏ na cẖīnai kathnī baḏnī kare bikẖi▫ā māhi samān. ||3||
They do not contemplate the Shabad; engrossed in corruption, they utter only empty words. ||3||

ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਇ
सभु किछु आपे आपि है दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥
Sabẖ kicẖẖ āpe āp hai ḏūjā avar na ko▫e.
He Himself is everything; there is no other at all.

ਜਿਉ ਬੋਲਾਏ ਤਿਉ ਬੋਲੀਐ ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਸੋਇ
जिउ बोलाए तिउ बोलीऐ जा आपि बुलाए सोइ ॥
Ji▫o bolā▫e ṯi▫o bolī▫ai jā āp bulā▫e so▫e.
I speak just as He makes me speak, when He Himself makes me speak.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ
गुरमुखि बाणी ब्रहमु है सबदि मिलावा होइ ॥
Gurmukẖ baṇī barahm hai sabaḏ milāvā ho▫e.
The Word of the Gurmukh is God Himself. Through the Shabad, we merge in Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਤੂ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੩॥
नानक नामु समालि तू जितु सेविऐ सुखु होइ ॥४॥३०॥६३॥
Nānak nām samāl ṯū jiṯ sevi▫ai sukẖ ho▫e. ||4||30||63||
O Nanak, remember the Naam; serving Him, peace is obtained. ||4||30||63||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ
सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Sirīrāg mėhlā 3.
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਜਗਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਗੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ
जगि हउमै मैलु दुखु पाइआ मलु लागी दूजै भाइ ॥
Jag ha▫umai mail ḏukẖ pā▫i▫ā mal lāgī ḏūjai bẖā▫e.
The world is polluted with the filth of egotism, suffering in pain. This filth sticks to them because of their love of duality.

ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਧੋਤੀ ਕਿਵੈ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੇ ਸਉ ਤੀਰਥ ਨਾਇ
मलु हउमै धोती किवै न उतरै जे सउ तीरथ नाइ ॥
Mal ha▫umai ḏẖoṯī kivai na uṯrai je sa▫o ṯirath nā▫e.
This filth of egotism cannot be washed away, even by taking cleansing baths at hundreds of sacred shrines.

ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਦੂਣੀ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਗੀ ਆਇ
बहु बिधि करम कमावदे दूणी मलु लागी आइ ॥
Baho biḏẖ karam kamāvḏe ḏūṇī mal lāgī ā▫e.
Performing all sorts of rituals, people are smeared with twice as much filth.

ਪੜਿਐ ਮੈਲੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਪੂਛਹੁ ਗਿਆਨੀਆ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
पड़िऐ मैलु न उतरै पूछहु गिआनीआ जाइ ॥१॥
Paṛi▫ai mail na uṯrai pūcẖẖahu gi▫ānī▫ā jā▫e. ||1||
This filth is not removed by studying. Go ahead, and ask the wise ones. ||1||

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ
मन मेरे गुर सरणि आवै ता निरमलु होइ ॥
Man mere gur saraṇ āvai ṯā nirmal ho▫e.
O my mind, coming to the Sanctuary of the Guru, you shall become immaculate and pure.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਥਕੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਕੀ ਧੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
मनमुख हरि हरि करि थके मैलु न सकी धोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Manmukẖ har har kar thake mail na sakī ḏẖo▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The self-willed manmukhs have grown weary of chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, but their filth cannot be removed. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨਿ ਮੈਲੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ
मनि मैलै भगति न होवई नामु न पाइआ जाइ ॥
Man mailai bẖagaṯ na hova▫ī nām na pā▫i▫ā jā▫e.
With a polluted mind, devotional service cannot be performed, and the Naam, the Name of the Lord, cannot be obtained.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੈਲੇ ਮੈਲੇ ਮੁਏ ਜਾਸਨਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਇ
मनमुख मैले मैले मुए जासनि पति गवाइ ॥
Manmukẖ maile maile mu▫e jāsan paṯ gavā▫e.
The filthy, self-willed manmukhs die in filth, and they depart in disgrace.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਇ ਸਮਾਇ
गुर परसादी मनि वसै मलु हउमै जाइ समाइ ॥
Gur parsādī man vasai mal ha▫umai jā▫e samā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind, and the filth of egotism is dispelled.

ਜਿਉ ਅੰਧੇਰੈ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਬਾਲੀਐ ਤਿਉ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਤਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
जिउ अंधेरै दीपकु बालीऐ तिउ गुर गिआनि अगिआनु तजाइ ॥२॥
Ji▫o anḏẖerai ḏīpak bālī▫ai ṯi▫o gur gi▫ān agi▫ān ṯajā▫e. ||2||
Like a lamp lit in the darkness, the spiritual wisdom of the Guru dispels ignorance. ||2||

ਹਮ ਕੀਆ ਹਮ ਕਰਹਗੇ ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਗਾਵਾਰ
हम कीआ हम करहगे हम मूरख गावार ॥
Ham kī▫ā ham karhage ham mūrakẖ gāvār.
I have done this, and I will do that - I am an idiotic fool for saying this!

ਕਰਣੈ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ
करणै वाला विसरिआ दूजै भाइ पिआरु ॥
Karṇai vālā visri▫ā ḏūjai bẖā▫e pi▫ār.
I have forgotten the Doer of all; I am caught in the love of duality.

ਮਾਇਆ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਸਭਿ ਭਵਿ ਥਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ
माइआ जेवडु दुखु नही सभि भवि थके संसारु ॥
Mā▫i▫ā jevad ḏukẖ nahī sabẖ bẖav thake sansār.
There is no pain as great as the pain of Maya; it drives people to wander all around the world, until they become exhausted.

ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
गुरमती सुखु पाईऐ सचु नामु उर धारि ॥३॥
Gurmaṯī sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai sacẖ nām ur ḏẖār. ||3||
Through the Guru's Teachings, peace is found, with the True Name enshrined in the heart. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੋ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ
जिस नो मेले सो मिलै हउ तिसु बलिहारै जाउ ॥
Jis no mele so milai ha▫o ṯis balihārai jā▫o.
I am a sacrifice to those who meet and merge with the Lord.

ਮਨ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਸਚੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਜ ਥਾਉ
ए मन भगती रतिआ सचु बाणी निज थाउ ॥
Ė man bẖagṯī raṯi▫ā sacẖ baṇī nij thā▫o.
This mind is attuned to devotional worship; through the True Word of Gurbani, it finds its own home.

ਮਨਿ ਰਤੇ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਚੇ ਗਾਉ
मनि रते जिहवा रती हरि गुण सचे गाउ ॥
Man raṯe jihvā raṯī har guṇ sacẖe gā▫o.
With the mind so imbued, and the tongue imbued as well, sing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਸਚੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੬੪॥
नानक नामु न वीसरै सचे माहि समाउ ॥४॥३१॥६४॥
Nānak nām na vīsrai sacẖe māhi samā▫o. ||4||31||64||
O Nanak, never forget the Naam; immerse yourself in the True One. ||4||31||64||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ਘਰੁ
सिरीरागु महला ४ घरु १ ॥
Sirīrāg mėhlā 4 gẖar 1.
Siree Raag, Fourth Mehl, First House:

ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਲਾ ਕਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇ
मै मनि तनि बिरहु अति अगला किउ प्रीतमु मिलै घरि आइ ॥
Mai man ṯan birahu aṯ aglā ki▫o parīṯam milai gẖar ā▫e.
Within my mind and body is the intense pain of separation; how can my Beloved come to meet me in my home?

ਜਾ ਦੇਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੇਖਿਐ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ
जा देखा प्रभु आपणा प्रभि देखिऐ दुखु जाइ ॥
Jā ḏekẖā parabẖ āpṇā parabẖ ḏekẖi▫ai ḏukẖ jā▫e.
When I see my God, seeing God Himself, my pain is taken away.

ਜਾਇ ਪੁਛਾ ਤਿਨ ਸਜਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
जाइ पुछा तिन सजणा प्रभु कितु बिधि मिलै मिलाइ ॥१॥
Jā▫e pucẖẖā ṯin sajṇā parabẖ kiṯ biḏẖ milai milā▫e. ||1||
I go and ask my friends, "How can I meet and merge with God?" ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਇ
मेरे सतिगुरा मै तुझ बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥
Mere saṯigurā mai ṯujẖ bin avar na ko▫e.
O my True Guru, without You I have no other at all.

ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हम मूरख मुगध सरणागती करि किरपा मेले हरि सोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ham mūrakẖ mugaḏẖ sarṇāgaṯī kar kirpā mele har so▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am foolish and ignorant; I seek Your Sanctuary. Please be Merciful and unite me with the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ
सतिगुरु दाता हरि नाम का प्रभु आपि मिलावै सोइ ॥
Saṯgur ḏāṯā har nām kā parabẖ āp milāvai so▫e.
The True Guru is the Giver of the Name of the Lord. God Himself causes us to meet Him.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਇ
सतिगुरि हरि प्रभु बुझिआ गुर जेवडु अवरु न कोइ ॥
Saṯgur har parabẖ bujẖi▫ā gur jevad avar na ko▫e.
The True Guru understands the Lord God. There is no other as Great as the Guru.

ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਢਹਿ ਪਵਾ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਮੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
हउ गुर सरणाई ढहि पवा करि दइआ मेले प्रभु सोइ ॥२॥
Ha▫o gur sarṇā▫ī dẖėh pavā kar ḏa▫i▫ā mele parabẖ so▫e. ||2||
I have come and collapsed in the Guru's Sanctuary. In His Kindness, He has united me with God. ||2||

ਮਨਹਠਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਾਵ ਥਕੇ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ
मनहठि किनै न पाइआ करि उपाव थके सभु कोइ ॥
Manhaṯẖ kinai na pā▫i▫ā kar upāv thake sabẖ ko▫e.
No one has found Him by stubborn-mindedness. All have grown weary of the effort.
