ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ਘਨੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
दरसन की मनि आस घनेरी कोई ऐसा संतु मो कउ पिरहि मिलावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏarsan kī man ās gẖanerī ko▫ī aisā sanṯ mo ka▫o pirėh milāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My mind's desire for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is so great. Is there any Saint who can lead me to meet my Beloved? ||1||Pause||

ਚਾਰਿ ਪਹਰ ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗਹ ਸਮਾਨੇ
चारि पहर चहु जुगह समाने ॥
Cẖār pahar cẖahu jugah samāne.
The four watches of the day are like the four ages.

ਰੈਣਿ ਭਈ ਤਬ ਅੰਤੁ ਜਾਨੇ ॥੨॥
रैणि भई तब अंतु न जाने ॥२॥
Raiṇ bẖa▫ī ṯab anṯ na jāne. ||2||
And when night comes, I think that it shall never end. ||2||

ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਿਰਹੁ ਵਿਛੋੜੀ
पंच दूत मिलि पिरहु विछोड़ी ॥
Pancẖ ḏūṯ mil pirahu vicẖẖoṛī.
The five demons have joined together, to separate me from my Husband Lord.

ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਰੋਵੈ ਹਾਥ ਪਛੋੜੀ ॥੩॥
भ्रमि भ्रमि रोवै हाथ पछोड़ी ॥३॥
Bẖaram bẖaram rovai hāth pacẖẖoṛī. ||3||
Wandering and rambling, I cry out and wring my hands. ||3||

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ
जन नानक कउ हरि दरसु दिखाइआ ॥
Jan Nānak ka▫o har ḏaras ḏikẖā▫i▫ā.
The Lord has revealed the Blessed Vision of His Darshan to servant Nanak;

ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੫॥
आतमु चीन्हि परम सुखु पाइआ ॥४॥१५॥
Āṯam cẖīnėh param sukẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||4||15||
realizing his own self, he has obtained supreme peace. ||4||15||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ
हरि सेवा महि परम निधानु ॥
Har sevā mėh param niḏẖān.
In the Lord's service, are the greatest treasures.

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
हरि सेवा मुखि अम्रित नामु ॥१॥
Har sevā mukẖ amriṯ nām. ||1||
Serving the Lord, the Ambrosial Naam comes into one's mouth. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖਾਈ
हरि मेरा साथी संगि सखाई ॥
Har merā sāthī sang sakẖā▫ī.
The Lord is my Companion; He is with me, as my Help and Support.

ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਿਮਰੀ ਤਹ ਮਉਜੂਦੁ ਜਮੁ ਬਪੁਰਾ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਹਾ ਡਰਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
दुखि सुखि सिमरी तह मउजूदु जमु बपुरा मो कउ कहा डराई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏukẖ sukẖ simrī ṯah ma▫ujūḏ jam bapurā mo ka▫o kahā darā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In pain and pleasure, whenever I remember Him, He is present. How can the poor Messenger of Death frighten me now? ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਾਣੁ
हरि मेरी ओट मै हरि का ताणु ॥
Har merī ot mai har kā ṯāṇ.
The Lord is my Support; the Lord is my Power.

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਖਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥੨॥
हरि मेरा सखा मन माहि दीबाणु ॥२॥
Har merā sakẖā man māhi ḏībāṇ. ||2||
The Lord is my Friend; He is my mind's advisor. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ
हरि मेरी पूंजी मेरा हरि वेसाहु ॥
Har merī pūnjī merā har vesāhu.
The Lord is my capital; the Lord is my credit.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥੩॥
गुरमुखि धनु खटी हरि मेरा साहु ॥३॥
Gurmukẖ ḏẖan kẖatī har merā sāhu. ||3||
As Gurmukh, I earn the wealth, with the Lord as my Banker. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਆਵੈ
गुर किरपा ते इह मति आवै ॥
Gur kirpā ṯe ih maṯ āvai.
By Guru's Grace, this wisdom has come.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧੬॥
जन नानकु हरि कै अंकि समावै ॥४॥१६॥
Jan Nānak har kai ank samāvai. ||4||16||
Servant Nanak has merged into the Being of the Lord. ||4||16||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਈ
प्रभु होइ क्रिपालु त इहु मनु लाई ॥
Parabẖ ho▫e kirpāl ṯa ih man lā▫ī.
When God shows His Mercy, then this mind is focused on Him.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਭੈ ਫਲ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
सतिगुरु सेवि सभै फल पाई ॥१॥
Saṯgur sev sabẖai fal pā▫ī. ||1||
Serving the True Guru, all rewards are obtained. ||1||

ਮਨ ਕਿਉ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਕਰਹਿਗਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ
मन किउ बैरागु करहिगा सतिगुरु मेरा पूरा ॥
Man ki▫o bairāg karhigā saṯgur merā pūrā.
O my mind, why are you so sad? My True Guru is Perfect.

ਮਨਸਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
मनसा का दाता सभ सुख निधानु अम्रित सरि सद ही भरपूरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mansā kā ḏāṯā sabẖ sukẖ niḏẖān amriṯ sar saḏ hī bẖarpūrā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He is the Giver of blessings, the treasure of all comforts; His Ambrosial Pool of Nectar is always overflowing. ||1||Pause||

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ
चरण कमल रिद अंतरि धारे ॥
Cẖaraṇ kamal riḏ anṯar ḏẖāre.
One who enshrines His Lotus Feet within the heart,

ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੨॥
प्रगटी जोति मिले राम पिआरे ॥२॥
Pargatī joṯ mile rām pi▫āre. ||2||
meets the Beloved Lord; the Divine Light is revealed to him. ||2||

ਪੰਚ ਸਖੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ
पंच सखी मिलि मंगलु गाइआ ॥
Pancẖ sakẖī mil mangal gā▫i▫ā.
The five companions have met together to sing the songs of joy.

ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਦੁ ਵਜਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
अनहद बाणी नादु वजाइआ ॥३॥
Anhaḏ baṇī nāḏ vajā▫i▫ā. ||3||
The unstruck melody, the sound current of the Naad, vibrates and resounds. ||3||

ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤੁਠਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ
गुरु नानकु तुठा मिलिआ हरि राइ ॥
Gur Nānak ṯuṯẖā mili▫ā har rā▫e.
O Nanak, when the Guru is totally pleased, one meets the Lord, the King.

ਸੁਖਿ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੭॥
सुखि रैणि विहाणी सहजि सुभाइ ॥४॥१७॥
Sukẖ raiṇ vihāṇī sahj subẖā▫e. ||4||17||
Then, the night of one's life passes in peace and natural ease. ||4||17||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਪਰਗਟੀ ਆਇਆ
करि किरपा हरि परगटी आइआ ॥
Kar kirpā har pargatī ā▫i▫ā.
Showing His Mercy, the Lord has revealed Himself to me.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਧਨੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
मिलि सतिगुर धनु पूरा पाइआ ॥१॥
Mil saṯgur ḏẖan pūrā pā▫i▫ā. ||1||
Meeting the True Guru, I have received the perfect wealth. ||1||

ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚੀਐ ਭਾਈ
ऐसा हरि धनु संचीऐ भाई ॥
Aisā har ḏẖan sancẖī▫ai bẖā▫ī.
Gather such a wealth of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਭਾਹਿ ਜਾਲੈ ਜਲਿ ਨਹੀ ਡੂਬੈ ਸੰਗੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
भाहि न जालै जलि नही डूबै संगु छोडि करि कतहु न जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bẖāhi na jālai jal nahī dūbai sang cẖẖod kar kaṯahu na jā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
It cannot be burned by fire, and water cannot drown it; it does not forsake society, or go anywhere else. ||1||Pause||

ਤੋਟਿ ਆਵੈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਜਾਇ
तोटि न आवै निखुटि न जाइ ॥
Ŧot na āvai nikẖut na jā▫e.
It does not run short, and it does not run out.

ਖਾਇ ਖਰਚਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਅਘਾਇ ॥੨॥
खाइ खरचि मनु रहिआ अघाइ ॥२॥
Kẖā▫e kẖaracẖ man rahi▫ā agẖā▫e. ||2||
Eating and consuming it, the mind remains satisfied. ||2||

ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਘਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਾਣਾ
सो सचु साहु जिसु घरि हरि धनु संचाणा ॥
So sacẖ sāhu jis gẖar har ḏẖan sancẖāṇā.
He is the true banker, who gathers the wealth of the Lord within his own home.

ਇਸੁ ਧਨ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਵਰਸਾਣਾ ॥੩॥
इसु धन ते सभु जगु वरसाणा ॥३॥
Is ḏẖan ṯe sabẖ jag varsāṇā. ||3||
With this wealth, the whole world profits. ||3||

ਤਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਪੁਰਬ ਲਿਖੇ ਕਾ ਲਹਣਾ
तिनि हरि धनु पाइआ जिसु पुरब लिखे का लहणा ॥
Ŧin har ḏẖan pā▫i▫ā jis purab likẖe kā lahṇā.
He alone receives the Lord's wealth, who is pre-ordained to receive it.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤਿ ਵਾਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਗਹਣਾ ॥੪॥੧੮॥
जन नानक अंति वार नामु गहणा ॥४॥१८॥
Jan Nānak anṯ vār nām gahṇā. ||4||18||
O servant Nanak, at that very last moment, the Naam shall be your only decoration. ||4||18||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਜੈਸੇ ਕਿਰਸਾਣੁ ਬੋਵੈ ਕਿਰਸਾਨੀ
जैसे किरसाणु बोवै किरसानी ॥
Jaise kirsāṇ bovai kirsānī.
Just like the farmer, He plants His crop,

ਕਾਚੀ ਪਾਕੀ ਬਾਢਿ ਪਰਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
काची पाकी बाढि परानी ॥१॥
Kācẖī pākī bādẖ parānī. ||1||
and, whether it is ripe or unripe, He cuts it down. ||1||

ਜੋ ਜਨਮੈ ਸੋ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਮੂਆ
जो जनमै सो जानहु मूआ ॥
Jo janmai so jānhu mū▫ā.
Just so, you must know this well, that whoever is born, shall die.

ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਭਗਤੁ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਹੈ ਥੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गोविंद भगतु असथिरु है थीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Govinḏ bẖagaṯ asthir hai thī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Only the devotee of the Lord of the Universe becomes stable and permanent. ||1||Pause||

ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਸਰਪਰ ਪਉਸੀ ਰਾਤਿ
दिन ते सरपर पउसी राति ॥
Ḏin ṯe sarpar pa▫usī rāṯ.
The day shall certainly be followed by the night.

ਰੈਣਿ ਗਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਪਰਭਾਤਿ ॥੨॥
रैणि गई फिरि होइ परभाति ॥२॥
Raiṇ ga▫ī fir ho▫e parbẖāṯ. ||2||
And when the night passes, the morning shall again dawn. ||2||

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਸੋਇ ਰਹੇ ਅਭਾਗੇ
माइआ मोहि सोइ रहे अभागे ॥
Mā▫i▫ā mohi so▫e rahe abẖāge.
In the love of Maya, the unfortunate ones remain in sleep.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜਾਗੇ ॥੩॥
गुर प्रसादि को विरला जागे ॥३॥
Gur parsāḏ ko virlā jāge. ||3||
By Guru's Grace, a rare few remain awake and aware. ||3||
