ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ
गुर कै दरसनि मुकति गति होइ ॥
Gur kai ḏarsan mukaṯ gaṯ ho▫e.
The Guru's system is the way to liberation.

ਸਾਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
साचा आपि वसै मनि सोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sācẖā āp vasai man so▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The True Lord Himself comes to dwell in the mind. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਉਧਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ
गुर दरसनि उधरै संसारा ॥
Gur ḏarsan uḏẖrai sansārā.
Through the Guru's system, the world is saved,

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਲਾਏ ਭਾਉ ਪਿਆਰਾ
जे को लाए भाउ पिआरा ॥
Je ko lā▫e bẖā▫o pi▫ārā.
if it is embraced with love and affection.

ਭਾਉ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲਾਏ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋਇ
भाउ पिआरा लाए विरला कोइ ॥
Bẖā▫o pi▫ārā lā▫e virlā ko▫e.
How rare is that person who truly loves the Guru's Way.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
गुर कै दरसनि सदा सुखु होइ ॥२॥
Gur kai ḏarsan saḏā sukẖ ho▫e. ||2||
Through the Guru's system, everlasting peace is obtained. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ
गुर कै दरसनि मोख दुआरु ॥
Gur kai ḏarsan mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
Through the Guru's system, the Door of Salvation is obtained.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੈ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਾਧਾਰੁ
सतिगुरु सेवै परवार साधारु ॥
Saṯgur sevai parvār sāḏẖār.
Serving the True Guru, one's family is saved.

ਨਿਗੁਰੇ ਕਉ ਗਤਿ ਕਾਈ ਨਾਹੀ
निगुरे कउ गति काई नाही ॥
Nigure ka▫o gaṯ kā▫ī nāhī.
There is no salvation for those who have no Guru.

ਅਵਗਣਿ ਮੁਠੇ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਹੀ ॥੩॥
अवगणि मुठे चोटा खाही ॥३॥
Avgaṇ muṯẖe cẖotā kẖāhī. ||3||
Beguiled by worthless sins, they are struck down. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਰੀਰ
गुर कै सबदि सुखु सांति सरीर ॥
Gur kai sabaḏ sukẖ sāʼnṯ sarīr.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the body finds peace and tranquility.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਲਗੈ ਪੀਰ
गुरमुखि ता कउ लगै न पीर ॥
Gurmukẖ ṯā ka▫o lagai na pīr.
The Gurmukh is not afflicted by pain.

ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਆਵੈ
जमकालु तिसु नेड़ि न आवै ॥
Jamkāl ṯis neṛ na āvai.
The Messenger of Death does not come near him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੪੦॥
नानक गुरमुखि साचि समावै ॥४॥१॥४०॥
Nānak gurmukẖ sācẖ samāvai. ||4||1||40||
O Nanak, the Gurmukh is absorbed in the True Lord. ||4||1||40||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ३ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 3.
Aasaa, Third Mehl:

ਸਬਦਿ ਮੁਆ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ
सबदि मुआ विचहु आपु गवाइ ॥
Sabaḏ mu▫ā vicẖahu āp gavā▫e.
One who dies in the Word of the Shabad, eradicates his self-conceit from within.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਮਾਇ
सतिगुरु सेवे तिलु न तमाइ ॥
Saṯgur seve ṯil na ṯamā▫e.
He serves the True Guru, with no iota of self-interest.

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ
निरभउ दाता सदा मनि होइ ॥
Nirbẖa▫o ḏāṯā saḏā man ho▫e.
The Fearless Lord, the Great Giver, ever abides in his mind.

ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਪਾਏ ਭਾਗਿ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
सची बाणी पाए भागि कोइ ॥१॥
Sacẖī baṇī pā▫e bẖāg ko▫e. ||1||
The True Bani of the Word is obtained only by good destiny. ||1||

ਗੁਣ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਅਉਗੁਣ ਜਾਹਿ
गुण संग्रहु विचहु अउगुण जाहि ॥
Guṇ sangrahu vicẖahu a▫oguṇ jāhi.
So gather merits, and let your demerits depart from within you.

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
पूरे गुर कै सबदि समाहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pūre gur kai sabaḏ samāhi. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You shall be absorbed into the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਣਾ ਕਾ ਗਾਹਕੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਗੁਣ ਜਾਣੈ
गुणा का गाहकु होवै सो गुण जाणै ॥
Guṇā kā gāhak hovai so guṇ jāṇai.
One who purchases merits, knows the value of these merits.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ
अम्रित सबदि नामु वखाणै ॥
Amriṯ sabaḏ nām vakẖāṇai.
He chants the Ambrosial Nectar of the Word, and the Name of the Lord.

ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੂਚਾ ਹੋਇ
साची बाणी सूचा होइ ॥
Sācẖī baṇī sūcẖā ho▫e.
Through the True Bani of the Word, he becomes pure.

ਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
गुण ते नामु परापति होइ ॥२॥
Guṇ ṯe nām parāpaṯ ho▫e. ||2||
Through merit, the Name is obtained. ||2||

ਗੁਣ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਹਿ
गुण अमोलक पाए न जाहि ॥
Guṇ amolak pā▫e na jāhi.
The invaluable merits cannot be acquired.

ਮਨਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ
मनि निरमल साचै सबदि समाहि ॥
Man nirmal sācẖai sabaḏ samāhi.
The pure mind is absorbed into the True Word of the Shabad.

ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ
से वडभागी जिन्ह नामु धिआइआ ॥
Se vadbẖāgī jinĥ nām ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
How very fortunate are those who meditate on the Naam,

ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
सदा गुणदाता मंनि वसाइआ ॥३॥
Saḏā guṇḏāṯā man vasā▫i▫ā. ||3||
and ever enshrine in their minds the Lord, the Giver of merit. ||3||

ਜੋ ਗੁਣ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹੈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ
जो गुण संग्रहै तिन्ह बलिहारै जाउ ॥
Jo guṇ sangrahai ṯinĥ balihārai jā▫o.
I am a sacrifice to those who gather merits.

ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ
दरि साचै साचे गुण गाउ ॥
Ḏar sācẖai sācẖe guṇ gā▫o.
At the Gate of Truth, I sing the Glorious Praises of the True One.

ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
आपे देवै सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Āpe ḏevai sahj subẖā▫e.
He Himself spontaneously bestows His gifts.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੨॥੪੧॥
नानक कीमति कहणु न जाइ ॥४॥२॥४१॥
Nānak kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫e. ||4||2||41||
O Nanak, the value of the Lord cannot be described. ||4||2||41||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ३ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 3.
Aasaa, Third Mehl:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ
सतिगुर विचि वडी वडिआई ॥
Saṯgur vicẖ vadī vadi▫ā▫ī.
Great is the greatness of the True Guru;

ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ
चिरी विछुंने मेलि मिलाई ॥
Cẖirī vicẖẖune mel milā▫ī.
He merges in His Merger, those who have been separated for so long.

ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ
आपे मेले मेलि मिलाए ॥
Āpe mele mel milā▫e.
He Himself merges the merged in His Merger.

ਆਪਣੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥
आपणी कीमति आपे पाए ॥१॥
Āpṇī kīmaṯ āpe pā▫e. ||1||
He Himself knows His own worth. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਹੋਇ
हरि की कीमति किन बिधि होइ ॥
Har kī kīmaṯ kin biḏẖ ho▫e.
How can anyone appraise the Lord's worth?

ਹਰਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि अपर्मपरु अगम अगोचरु गुर कै सबदि मिलै जनु कोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har aprampar agam agocẖar gur kai sabaḏ milai jan ko▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, one may merge with the Infinite, Unapproachable and Incomprehensible Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ
गुरमुखि कीमति जाणै कोइ ॥
Gurmukẖ kīmaṯ jāṇai ko▫e.
Few are the Gurmukhs who know His worth.

ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ
विरले करमि परापति होइ ॥
virle karam parāpaṯ ho▫e.
How rare are those who receive the Lord's Grace.

ਊਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਇ
ऊची बाणी ऊचा होइ ॥
Ūcẖī baṇī ūcẖā ho▫e.
Through the Sublime Bani of His Word, one becomes sublime.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥
गुरमुखि सबदि वखाणै कोइ ॥२॥
Gurmukẖ sabaḏ vakẖāṇai ko▫e. ||2||
The Gurmukh chants the Word of the Shabad. ||2||

ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਸਰੀਰਿ
विणु नावै दुखु दरदु सरीरि ॥
viṇ nāvai ḏukẖ ḏaraḏ sarīr.
Without the Name, the body suffers in pain;

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤਾ ਉਤਰੈ ਪੀਰ
सतिगुरु भेटे ता उतरै पीर ॥
Saṯgur bẖete ṯā uṯrai pīr.
but when one meets the True Guru, then that pain is removed.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਮਾਇ
बिनु गुर भेटे दुखु कमाइ ॥
Bin gur bẖete ḏukẖ kamā▫e.
Without meeting the Guru, the mortal earns only pain.

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
मनमुखि बहुती मिलै सजाइ ॥३॥
Manmukẖ bahuṯī milai sajā▫e. ||3||
The self-willed manmukh receives only more punishment. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਅਤਿ ਰਸੁ ਹੋਇ
हरि का नामु मीठा अति रसु होइ ॥
Har kā nām mīṯẖā aṯ ras ho▫e.
The essence of the Lord's Name is so very sweet;

ਪੀਵਤ ਰਹੈ ਪੀਆਏ ਸੋਇ
पीवत रहै पीआए सोइ ॥
Pīvaṯ rahai pī▫ā▫e so▫e.
he alone drinks it, whom the Lord causes to drink it.

ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਏ
गुर किरपा ते हरि रसु पाए ॥
Gur kirpā ṯe har ras pā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, the essence of the Lord is obtained.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੩॥੪੨॥
नानक नामि रते गति पाए ॥४॥३॥४२॥
Nānak nām raṯe gaṯ pā▫e. ||4||3||42||
O Nanak, imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, salvation is attained. ||4||3||42||

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ
मेरा प्रभु साचा गहिर ग्मभीर ॥
Merā parabẖ sācẖā gahir gambẖīr.
My God is True, deep and profound.

ਸੇਵਤ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਰੀਰ
सेवत ही सुखु सांति सरीर ॥
Sevaṯ hī sukẖ sāʼnṯ sarīr.
Serving Him, the body acquires peace and tranquility.

ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰੇ ਜਨ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
सबदि तरे जन सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Sabaḏ ṯare jan sahj subẖā▫e.
Through the Word of the Shabad, His humble servants easily swim across.

ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਮ ਸਦ ਲਾਗਹ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
तिन कै हम सद लागह पाइ ॥१॥
Ŧin kai ham saḏ lāgah pā▫e. ||1||
I fall at their feet forever and ever. ||1||

ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ
जो मनि राते हरि रंगु लाइ ॥
Jo man rāṯe har rang lā▫e.
Those being whose minds are imbued and drenched with the Lord's Love -
