ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਖੋਜਉ ਅਸਮਾਨ ॥
कहु कबीर खोजउ असमान ॥
Kaho Kabīr kẖoja▫o asmān.
Says Kabeer, I have searched the skies,

ਰਾਮ ਸਮਾਨ ਨ ਦੇਖਉ ਆਨ ॥੨॥੩੪॥
राम समान न देखउ आन ॥२॥३४॥
Rām samān na ḏekẖ▫a▫u ān. ||2||34||
and have not seen another, equal to the Lord. ||2||34||

Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜਿਹ ਸਿਰਿ ਰਚਿ ਰਚਿ ਬਾਧਤ ਪਾਗ ॥
जिह सिरि रचि रचि बाधत पाग ॥
Jih sir racẖ racẖ bāḏẖaṯ pāg.
That head which was once embellished with the finest turban -
|
ਸੋ ਸਿਰੁ ਚੁੰਚ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਕਾਗ ॥੧॥
सो सिरु चुंच सवारहि काग ॥१॥
So sir cẖuncẖ savārėh kāg. ||1||
upon that head, the crow now cleans his beak. ||1||
|
ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਧਨ ਕੋ ਕਿਆ ਗਰਬਈਆ ॥
इसु तन धन को किआ गरबईआ ॥
Is ṯan ḏẖan ko ki▫ā garab▫ī▫ā.
What pride should we take in this body and wealth?
|
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਾਹੇ ਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ੍ਹੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राम नामु काहे न द्रिड़्हीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rām nām kāhe na ḏariṛ▫ī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Why not hold tight to the Lord's Name instead? ||1||Pause||

ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
कहत कबीर सुनहु मन मेरे ॥
Kahaṯ Kabīr sunhu man mere.
Says Kabeer, listen, O my mind:

ਇਹੀ ਹਵਾਲ ਹੋਹਿਗੇ ਤੇਰੇ ॥੨॥੩੫॥
इही हवाल होहिगे तेरे ॥२॥३५॥
Ihī havāl hohige ṯere. ||2||35||
this may be your fate as well! ||2||35||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਂਗਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਆਵੈ ॥
सुखु मांगत दुखु आगै आवै ॥
Sukẖ māʼngaṯ ḏukẖ āgai āvai.
People beg for pleasure, but pain comes instead.
|
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਹਮਹੁ ਨ ਮਾਂਗਿਆ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
सो सुखु हमहु न मांगिआ भावै ॥१॥
So sukẖ hamhu na māʼngi▫ā bẖāvai. ||1||
I would rather not beg for that pleasure. ||1||
|
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਅਜਹੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਖ ਆਸਾ ॥
बिखिआ अजहु सुरति सुख आसा ॥
Bikẖi▫ā ajahu suraṯ sukẖ āsā.
People are involved in corruption, but still, they hope for pleasure.
|
ਕੈਸੇ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
कैसे होई है राजा राम निवासा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kaise ho▫ī hai rājā rām nivāsā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
How will they find their home in the Sovereign Lord King? ||1||Pause||
|
ਇਸੁ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਸਿਵ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਡਰਾਨਾ ॥
इसु सुख ते सिव ब्रहम डराना ॥
Is sukẖ ṯe siv barahm darānā.
Even Shiva and Brahma are afraid of this pleasure,
|
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਹਮਹੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
सो सुखु हमहु साचु करि जाना ॥२॥
So sukẖ hamhu sācẖ kar jānā. ||2||
but I have judged that pleasure to be true. ||2||
|
ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨਿ ਸੇਖਾ ॥
सनकादिक नारद मुनि सेखा ॥
Sankāḏik nāraḏ mun sekẖā.
Even sages like Sanak and Naarad, and the thousand-headed serpent,
|
ਤਿਨ ਭੀ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਮਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਪੇਖਾ ॥੩॥
तिन भी तन महि मनु नही पेखा ॥३॥
Ŧin bẖī ṯan mėh man nahī pekẖā. ||3||
did not see the mind within the body. ||3||
|
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
इसु मन कउ कोई खोजहु भाई ॥
Is man ka▫o ko▫ī kẖojahu bẖā▫ī.
Anyone can search for this mind, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਤਨ ਛੂਟੇ ਮਨੁ ਕਹਾ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੪॥
तन छूटे मनु कहा समाई ॥४॥
Ŧan cẖẖūte man kahā samā▫ī. ||4||
When it escapes from the body, where does the mind go? ||4||
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜੈਦੇਉ ਨਾਮਾਂ ॥
गुर परसादी जैदेउ नामां ॥
Gur parsādī jaiḏe▫o nāmāʼn.

ਭਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੫॥
भगति कै प्रेमि इन ही है जानां ॥५॥
Bẖagaṯ kai parem in hī hai jānāʼn. ||5||
came to know this, through loving devotional worship of the Lord. ||5||
|
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਨਹੀ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
इसु मन कउ नही आवन जाना ॥
Is man ka▫o nahī āvan jānā.
This mind does not come or go.
|
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੬॥
जिस का भरमु गइआ तिनि साचु पछाना ॥६॥
Jis kā bẖaram ga▫i▫ā ṯin sācẖ pacẖẖānā. ||6||
One whose doubt is dispelled, knows the Truth. ||6||
|
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਕਾਈ ॥
इसु मन कउ रूपु न रेखिआ काई ॥
Is man ka▫o rūp na rekẖ▫i▫ā kā▫ī.
This mind has no form or outline.
|
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੂਝਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੭॥
हुकमे होइआ हुकमु बूझि समाई ॥७॥
Hukme ho▫i▫ā hukam būjẖ samā▫ī. ||7||
By God's Command it was created; understanding God's Command, it will be absorbed into Him again. ||7||
|
ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਨੈ ਭੇਉ ॥
इस मन का कोई जानै भेउ ॥
Is man kā ko▫ī jānai bẖe▫o.
Does anyone know the secret of this mind?
|
ਇਹ ਮਨਿ ਲੀਣ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦੇਉ ॥੮॥
इह मनि लीण भए सुखदेउ ॥८॥
Ih man līṇ bẖa▫e sukẖ▫ḏe▫o. ||8||
This mind shall merge into the Lord, the Giver of peace and pleasure. ||8||
|
ਜੀਉ ਏਕੁ ਅਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥
जीउ एकु अरु सगल सरीरा ॥
Jī▫o ek ar sagal sarīrā.
There is One Soul, and it pervades all bodies.
|
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥੯॥੧॥੩੬॥
इसु मन कउ रवि रहे कबीरा ॥९॥१॥३६॥
Is man ka▫o rav rahe kabīrā. ||9||1||36||
Kabeer dwells upon this Mind. ||9||1||36||

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ॥
गउड़ी गुआरेरी ॥
Ga▫oṛī gu▫ārerī.
Gauree Gwaarayree:

ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ ਜਾਗੇ ॥
अहिनिसि एक नाम जो जागे ॥
Ahinis ek nām jo jāge.
Those who are awake to the One Name, day and night -
|
ਕੇਤਕ ਸਿਧ ਭਏ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
केतक सिध भए लिव लागे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Keṯak siḏẖ bẖa▫e liv lāge. ||1|| rahā▫o.
many of them have become Siddhas - perfect spiritual beings - with their consciousness attuned to the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਗਲ ਮੁਨਿ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
साधक सिध सगल मुनि हारे ॥
Sāḏẖak siḏẖ sagal mun hāre.
The seekers, the Siddhas and the silent sages have all lost the game.
|
ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਕਲਿਪ ਤਰ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
एक नाम कलिप तर तारे ॥१॥
Ėk nām kalip ṯar ṯāre. ||1||
The One Name is the wish-fulfilling Elysian Tree, which saves them and carries them across. ||1||
|
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਹਿ ਨ ਆਨਾ ॥
जो हरि हरे सु होहि न आना ॥
Jo har hare so hohi na ānā.
Those who are rejuvenated by the Lord, do not belong to any other.
|
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੨॥੩੭॥
कहि कबीर राम नाम पछाना ॥२॥३७॥
Kahi Kabīr rām nām pacẖẖānā. ||2||37||
Says Kabeer, they realize the Name of the Lord. ||2||37||
|
ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ ॥
गउड़ी भी सोरठि भी ॥
Ga▫oṛī bẖī soraṯẖ bẖī.
Gauree And Also Sorat'h:
|
ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੋੁਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
रे जीअ निलज लाज तोहि नाही ॥
Re jī▫a nilaj lāj ṯohi nāhī.
O shameless being, don't you feel ashamed?
|
ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि तजि कत काहू के जांही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har ṯaj kaṯ kāhū ke jāʼnhī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You have forsaken the Lord - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥
जा को ठाकुरु ऊचा होई ॥
Jā ko ṯẖākur ūcẖā ho▫ī.
One whose Lord and Master is the highest and most exalted -
|
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥
सो जनु पर घर जात न सोही ॥१॥
So jan par gẖar jāṯ na sohī. ||1||
it is not proper for him to go to the house of another. ||1||
|
ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
सो साहिबु रहिआ भरपूरि ॥
So sāhib rahi▫ā bẖarpūr.
That Lord and Master is pervading everywhere.
|
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
सदा संगि नाही हरि दूरि ॥२॥
Saḏā sang nāhī har ḏūr. ||2||
The Lord is always with us; He is never far away. ||2||
|
ਕਵਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥
कवला चरन सरन है जा के ॥
Kavlā cẖaran saran hai jā ke.
Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet.
|
ਕਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥
कहु जन का नाही घर ता के ॥३॥
Kaho jan kā nāhī gẖar ṯā ke. ||3||
Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? ||3||
|
ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
सभु कोऊ कहै जासु की बाता ॥
Sabẖ ko▫ū kahai jās kī bāṯā.
Everyone speaks of Him; He is All-powerful.
|
ਸੋ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥
सो सम्रथु निज पति है दाता ॥४॥
So samrath nij paṯ hai ḏāṯā. ||4||
He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. ||4||
|
ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥
कहै कबीरु पूरन जग सोई ॥
Kahai Kabīr pūran jag so▫ī.
Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world,
|
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥੩੮॥
जा के हिरदै अवरु न होई ॥५॥३८॥
Jā ke hirḏai avar na ho▫ī. ||5||38||
in whose heart there is none other than the Lord. ||5||38||
|
ਕਉਨੁ ਕੋ ਪੂਤੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਾ ਕੋ ॥
कउनु को पूतु पिता को का को ॥
Ka▫un ko pūṯ piṯā ko kā ko.
Whose son is he? Whose father is he?
