ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਭਾਈ
जा कै हरि सा ठाकुरु भाई ॥
Jā kai har sā ṯẖākur bẖā▫ī.
One who has the Lord as his Master, O Siblings of Destiny -

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਅਨੰਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਣਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
मुकति अनंत पुकारणि जाई ॥१॥
Mukaṯ ananṯ pukāraṇ jā▫ī. ||1||
countless liberations knock at his door. ||1||

ਅਬ ਕਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੋਰਾ
अब कहु राम भरोसा तोरा ॥
Ab kaho rām bẖarosā ṯorā.
If I say now that my trust is in You alone, Lord,

ਤਬ ਕਾਹੂ ਕਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਨਿਹੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
तब काहू का कवनु निहोरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧab kāhū kā kavan nihorā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
then what obligation do I have to anyone else? ||1||Pause||

ਤੀਨਿ ਲੋਕ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਹਿ ਭਾਰ
तीनि लोक जा कै हहि भार ॥
Ŧīn lok jā kai hėh bẖār.
He bears the burden of the three worlds;

ਸੋ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰ ॥੨॥
सो काहे न करै प्रतिपार ॥२॥
So kāhe na karai parṯipār. ||2||
why should He not cherish you also? ||2||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ
कहु कबीर इक बुधि बीचारी ॥
Kaho Kabīr ik buḏẖ bīcẖārī.
Says Kabeer, through contemplation, I have obtained this one understanding.

ਕਿਆ ਬਸੁ ਜਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਦੇ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੩॥੨੨॥
किआ बसु जउ बिखु दे महतारी ॥३॥२२॥
Ki▫ā bas ja▫o bikẖ ḏe mėhṯārī. ||3||22||
If the mother poisons her own child, what can anyone do? ||3||22||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤ ਸਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਕੈਸੇ ਨਾਰਿ
बिनु सत सती होइ कैसे नारि ॥
Bin saṯ saṯī ho▫e kaise nār.
Without Truth, how can the woman be a true satee - a widow who burns herself on her husband's funeral pyre?

ਪੰਡਿਤ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
पंडित देखहु रिदै बीचारि ॥१॥
Pandiṯ ḏekẖhu riḏai bīcẖār. ||1||
O Pandit, O religious scholar, see this and contemplate it within your heart. ||1||

ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਬਧੈ ਸਨੇਹੁ
प्रीति बिना कैसे बधै सनेहु ॥
Parīṯ binā kaise baḏẖai sanehu.
Without love, how can one's affection increase?

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਰਸੁ ਤਬ ਲਗੁ ਨਹੀ ਨੇਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जब लगु रसु तब लगु नही नेहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jab lag ras ṯab lag nahī nehu. ||1|| rahā▫o.
As long as there is attachment to pleasure, there can be no spiritual love. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਹਨਿ ਸਤੁ ਕਰੈ ਜੀਅ ਅਪਨੈ
साहनि सतु करै जीअ अपनै ॥
Sāhan saṯ karai jī▫a apnai.
One who, in his own soul, believes the Queen Maya to be true,

ਸੋ ਰਮਯੇ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਪਨੈ ॥੨॥
सो रमये कउ मिलै न सुपनै ॥२॥
So ramye ka▫o milai na supnai. ||2||
does not meet the Lord, even in dreams. ||2||

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਸਉਪਿ ਸਰੀਰੁ
तनु मनु धनु ग्रिहु सउपि सरीरु ॥
Ŧan man ḏẖan garihu sa▫up sarīr.
One who surrenders her body, mind, wealth, home and self -

ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੩॥
सोई सुहागनि कहै कबीरु ॥३॥२३॥
So▫ī suhāgan kahai Kabīr. ||3||23||
she is the true soul-bride, says Kabeer. ||3||23||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਆਪਿਆ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ
बिखिआ बिआपिआ सगल संसारु ॥
Bikẖi▫ā bi▫āpi▫ā sagal sansār.
The whole world is engrossed in corruption.

ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਡੂਬੀ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
बिखिआ लै डूबी परवारु ॥१॥
Bikẖi▫ā lai dūbī parvār. ||1||
This corruption has drowned entire families. ||1||

ਰੇ ਨਰ ਨਾਵ ਚਉੜਿ ਕਤ ਬੋੜੀ
रे नर नाव चउड़ि कत बोड़ी ॥
Re nar nāv cẖa▫uṛ kaṯ boṛī.
O man, why have you wrecked your boat and sunk it?

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਤੋੜਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋੜੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि सिउ तोड़ि बिखिआ संगि जोड़ी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har si▫o ṯoṛ bikẖi▫ā sang joṛī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You have broken with the Lord, and joined hands with corruption. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਦਾਧੇ ਲਾਗੀ ਆਗਿ
सुरि नर दाधे लागी आगि ॥
Sur nar ḏāḏẖe lāgī āg.
Angels and human beings alike are burning in the raging fire.

ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨੀਰੁ ਪਸੁ ਪੀਵਸਿ ਝਾਗਿ ॥੨॥
निकटि नीरु पसु पीवसि न झागि ॥२॥
Nikat nīr pas pīvas na jẖāg. ||2||
The water is near at hand, but the beast does not drink it in. ||2||

ਚੇਤਤ ਚੇਤਤ ਨਿਕਸਿਓ ਨੀਰੁ
चेतत चेतत निकसिओ नीरु ॥
Cẖeṯaṯ cẖeṯaṯ niksi▫o nīr.
By constant contemplation and awareness, the water is brought forth.

ਸੋ ਜਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਕਥਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੪॥
सो जलु निरमलु कथत कबीरु ॥३॥२४॥
So jal nirmal kathaṯ Kabīr. ||3||24||
That water is immaculate and pure, says Kabeer. ||3||24||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜਿਹ ਕੁਲਿ ਪੂਤੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ
जिह कुलि पूतु न गिआन बीचारी ॥
Jih kul pūṯ na gi▫ān bīcẖārī.
That family, whose son has no spiritual wisdom or contemplation -

ਬਿਧਵਾ ਕਸ ਭਈ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
बिधवा कस न भई महतारी ॥१॥
Biḏẖvā kas na bẖa▫ī mėhṯārī. ||1||
why didn't his mother just become a widow? ||1||

ਜਿਹ ਨਰ ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਸਾਧੀ
जिह नर राम भगति नहि साधी ॥
Jih nar rām bẖagaṯ nėh sāḏẖī.
That man who has not practiced devotional worship of the Lord -

ਜਨਮਤ ਕਸ ਮੁਓ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जनमत कस न मुओ अपराधी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Janmaṯ kas na mu▫o aprāḏẖī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
why didn't such a sinful man die at birth? ||1||Pause||

ਮੁਚੁ ਮੁਚੁ ਗਰਭ ਗਏ ਕੀਨ ਬਚਿਆ
मुचु मुचु गरभ गए कीन बचिआ ॥
Mucẖ mucẖ garabẖ ga▫e kīn bacẖi▫ā.
So many pregnancies end in miscarriage - why was this one spared?

ਬੁਡਭੁਜ ਰੂਪ ਜੀਵੇ ਜਗ ਮਝਿਆ ॥੨॥
बुडभुज रूप जीवे जग मझिआ ॥२॥
Budbẖuj rūp jīve jag majẖi▫ā. ||2||
He lives his life in this world like a deformed amputee. ||2||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੈਸੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ
कहु कबीर जैसे सुंदर सरूप ॥
Kaho Kabīr jaise sunḏar sarūp.
Says Kabeer, beautiful and handsome people,

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਕੁਬਜ ਕੁਰੂਪ ॥੩॥੨੫॥
नाम बिना जैसे कुबज कुरूप ॥३॥२५॥
Nām binā jaise kubaj kurūp. ||3||25||
are just ugly hunch-backs without the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||25||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਲੇਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ
जो जन लेहि खसम का नाउ ॥
Jo jan lehi kẖasam kā nā▫o.
To those humble beings who take the Name of their Lord and Master,

ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥੧॥
तिन कै सद बलिहारै जाउ ॥१॥
Ŧin kai saḏ balihārai jā▫o. ||1||
I am forever a sacrifice to them. ||1||

ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ
सो निरमलु निरमल हरि गुन गावै ॥
So nirmal nirmal har gun gāvai.
Those who sing the Glorious Praises of the Pure Lord are pure.

ਸੋ ਭਾਈ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सो भाई मेरै मनि भावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
So bẖā▫ī merai man bẖāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
They are my Siblings of Destiny, so dear to my heart. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਹ ਘਟ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ
जिह घट रामु रहिआ भरपूरि ॥
Jih gẖat rām rahi▫ā bẖarpūr.
Whose hearts are filled with the All-pervading Lord,

ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਪੰਕਜ ਹਮ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
तिन की पग पंकज हम धूरि ॥२॥
Ŧin kī pag pankaj ham ḏẖūr. ||2||
I am the dust of the lotus feet of those. ||2||

ਜਾਤਿ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਮਤਿ ਕਾ ਧੀਰੁ
जाति जुलाहा मति का धीरु ॥
Jāṯ julāhā maṯ kā ḏẖīr.
I am a weaver by birth, and patient of mind.

ਸਹਜਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਮੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੬॥
सहजि सहजि गुण रमै कबीरु ॥३॥२६॥
Sahj sahj guṇ ramai Kabīr. ||3||26||
Slowly, steadily, Kabeer chants the Glories of God. ||3||26||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਗਗਨਿ ਰਸਾਲ ਚੁਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਭਾਠੀ
गगनि रसाल चुऐ मेरी भाठी ॥
Gagan rasāl cẖu▫ai merī bẖāṯẖī.
From the Sky of the Tenth Gate, the nectar trickles down, distilled from my furnace.

ਸੰਚਿ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਤਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਕਾਠੀ ॥੧॥
संचि महा रसु तनु भइआ काठी ॥१॥
Sancẖ mahā ras ṯan bẖa▫i▫ā kāṯẖī. ||1||
I have gathered in this most sublime essence, making my body into firewood. ||1||

ਉਆ ਕਉ ਕਹੀਐ ਸਹਜ ਮਤਵਾਰਾ
उआ कउ कहीऐ सहज मतवारा ॥
U▫ā ka▫o kahī▫ai sahj maṯvārā.
He alone is called intoxicated with intuitive peace and poise,

ਪੀਵਤ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
पीवत राम रसु गिआन बीचारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pīvaṯ rām ras gi▫ān bīcẖārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
who drinks in the juice of the Lord's essence, contemplating spiritual wisdom. ||1||Pause||

ਸਹਜ ਕਲਾਲਨਿ ਜਉ ਮਿਲਿ ਆਈ
सहज कलालनि जउ मिलि आई ॥
Sahj kalālan ja▫o mil ā▫ī.
Intuitive poise is the bar-maid who comes to serve it.

ਆਨੰਦਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
आनंदि माते अनदिनु जाई ॥२॥
Ānanḏ māṯe an▫ḏin jā▫ī. ||2||
I pass my nights and days in ecstasy. ||2||

ਚੀਨਤ ਚੀਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਲਾਇਆ
चीनत चीतु निरंजन लाइआ ॥
Cẖīnaṯ cẖīṯ niranjan lā▫i▫ā.
Through conscious meditation, I linked my consciousness with the Immaculate Lord.

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੌ ਅਨਭਉ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥੨੭॥
कहु कबीर तौ अनभउ पाइआ ॥३॥२७॥
Kaho Kabīr ṯou anbẖa▫o pā▫i▫ā. ||3||27||
Says Kabeer, then I obtained the Fearless Lord. ||3||27||

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥
Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī.
Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਿਆਪੀ
मन का सुभाउ मनहि बिआपी ॥
Man kā subẖā▫o manėh bi▫āpī.
The natural tendency of the mind is to chase the mind.

ਮਨਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਵਨ ਸਿਧਿ ਥਾਪੀ ॥੧॥
मनहि मारि कवन सिधि थापी ॥१॥
Manėh mār kavan siḏẖ thāpī. ||1||
Who has established himself as a Siddha, a being of miraculous spiritual powers, by killing his mind? ||1||
