ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤੀ ਜਗੁ ਫਿਰੀ ਨਾ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪੈ ਨਾਲਿ
हउ हउ करती जगु फिरी ना धनु स्मपै नालि ॥
Ha▫o ha▫o karṯī jag firī nā ḏẖan sampai nāl.
Practicing egotism, selfishness and conceit, she wanders around the world, but her wealth and property will not go with her.

ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੇਤਈ ਸਭ ਬਾਧੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ
अंधी नामु न चेतई सभ बाधी जमकालि ॥
Anḏẖī nām na cẖeṯ▫ī sabẖ bāḏẖī jamkāl.
The spiritually blind do not even think of the Naam; they are all bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death.

ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੩॥
सतगुरि मिलिऐ धनु पाइआ हरि नामा रिदै समालि ॥३॥
Saṯgur mili▫ai ḏẖan pā▫i▫ā har nāmā riḏai samāl. ||3||
Meeting the True Guru, the wealth is obtained, contemplating the Name of the Lord in the heart. ||3||

ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
नामि रते से निरमले गुर कै सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Nām raṯe se nirmale gur kai sahj subẖā▫e.
Those who are attuned to the Naam are immaculate and pure; through the Guru, they obtain intuitive peace and poise.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਸਨਾ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਇ
मनु तनु राता रंग सिउ रसना रसन रसाइ ॥
Man ṯan rāṯā rang si▫o rasnā rasan rasā▫e.
Their minds and bodies are dyed in the Color of the Lord's Love, and their tongues savor His Sublime Essence.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੪੭॥
नानक रंगु न उतरै जो हरि धुरि छोडिआ लाइ ॥४॥१४॥४७॥
Nānak rang na uṯrai jo har ḏẖur cẖẖodi▫ā lā▫e. ||4||14||47||
O Nanak, that Primal Color which the Lord has applied, shall never fade away. ||4||14||47||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ
सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Sirīrāg mėhlā 3.
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੋਈ
गुरमुखि क्रिपा करे भगति कीजै बिनु गुर भगति न होई ॥
Gurmukẖ kirpā kare bẖagaṯ kījai bin gur bẖagaṯ na ho▫ī.
By His Grace one becomes Gurmukh, worshipping the Lord with devotion. Without the Guru there is no devotional worship.

ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਬੂਝੈ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ
आपै आपु मिलाए बूझै ता निरमलु होवै सोई ॥
Āpai āp milā▫e būjẖai ṯā nirmal hovai so▫ī.
Those whom He unites with Himself, understand and become pure.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥
हरि जीउ साचा साची बाणी सबदि मिलावा होई ॥१॥
Har jī▫o sācẖā sācẖī baṇī sabaḏ milāvā ho▫ī. ||1||
The Dear Lord is True, and True is the Word of His Bani. Through the Shabad, we merge with Him. ||1||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਭਗਤਿਹੀਣੁ ਕਾਹੇ ਜਗਿ ਆਇਆ
भाई रे भगतिहीणु काहे जगि आइआ ॥
Bẖā▫ī re bẖagṯihīṇ kāhe jag ā▫i▫ā.
O Siblings of Destiny: those who lack devotion-why have they even bothered to come into the world?

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਕੀਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
पूरे गुर की सेव न कीनी बिरथा जनमु गवाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pūre gur kī sev na kīnī birthā janam gavā▫i▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
They do not serve the Perfect Guru; they waste away their lives in vain. ||1||Pause||

ਆਪੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ
आपे जगजीवनु सुखदाता आपे बखसि मिलाए ॥
Āpe jagjīvan sukẖ▫ḏāṯa āpe bakẖas milā▫e.
The Lord Himself, the Life of the World, is the Giver of Peace. He Himself forgives, and unites with Himself.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਕਿਆ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ
जीअ जंत ए किआ वेचारे किआ को आखि सुणाए ॥
Jī▫a janṯ e ki▫ā vecẖāre ki▫ā ko ākẖ suṇā▫e.
So what about all these poor beings and creatures? What can anyone say?

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਾਈ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੨॥
गुरमुखि आपे देइ वडाई आपे सेव कराए ॥२॥
Gurmukẖ āpe ḏe▫e vadā▫ī āpe sev karā▫e. ||2||
He Himself blesses the Gurmukh with glory. He Himself enjoins us to His Service. ||2||

ਦੇਖਿ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੋਭਾਣਾ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਜਾਈ
देखि कुट्मबु मोहि लोभाणा चलदिआ नालि न जाई ॥
Ḏekẖ kutamb mohi lobẖāṇā cẖalḏi▫ā nāl na jā▫ī.
Gazing upon their families, people are lured and trapped by emotional attachment, but none will go along with them in the end.

ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮ ਪਾਈ
सतगुरु सेवि गुण निधानु पाइआ तिस दी कीम न पाई ॥
Saṯgur sev guṇ niḏẖān pā▫i▫ā ṯis ḏī kīm na pā▫ī.
Serving the True Guru, one finds the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence. His Value cannot be estimated.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਖਾ ਮੀਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੩॥
हरि प्रभु सखा मीतु प्रभु मेरा अंते होइ सखाई ॥३॥
Har parabẖ sakẖā mīṯ parabẖ merā anṯe ho▫e sakẖā▫ī. ||3||
The Lord God is my Friend and Companion. God shall be my Helper and Support in the end. ||3||

ਆਪਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਹੈ ਕਹਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਆਪੁ ਜਾਈ
आपणै मनि चिति कहै कहाए बिनु गुर आपु न जाई ॥
Āpṇai man cẖiṯ kahai kahā▫e bin gur āp na jā▫ī.
Within your conscious mind, you may say anything, but without the Guru, selfishness is not removed.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਦਾਤਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਹੈ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਈ
हरि जीउ दाता भगति वछलु है करि किरपा मंनि वसाई ॥
Har jī▫o ḏāṯā bẖagaṯ vacẖẖal hai kar kirpā man vasā▫ī.
The Dear Lord is the Giver, the Lover of His devotees. By His Grace, He comes to dwell in the mind.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਦੇਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੪੮॥
नानक सोभा सुरति देइ प्रभु आपे गुरमुखि दे वडिआई ॥४॥१५॥४८॥
Nānak sobẖā suraṯ ḏe▫e parabẖ āpe gurmukẖ ḏe vadi▫ā▫ī. ||4||15||48||
O Nanak, by His Grace, He bestows enlightened awareness; God Himself blesses the Gurmukh with glorious greatness. ||4||15||48||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ
सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Sirīrāg mėhlā 3.
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਧਨੁ ਜਨਨੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਇਆ ਧੰਨੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ
धनु जननी जिनि जाइआ धंनु पिता परधानु ॥
Ḏẖan jannī jin jā▫i▫ā ḏẖan piṯā parḏẖān.
Blessed is the mother who gave birth and blessed and respected is the father of one,

ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਗਇਆ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ
सतगुरु सेवि सुखु पाइआ विचहु गइआ गुमानु ॥
Saṯgur sev sukẖ pā▫i▫ā vicẖahu ga▫i▫ā gumān.
who serves the True Guru, finds peace and his arrogant pride is banished from within.

ਦਰਿ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਖੜੇ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
दरि सेवनि संत जन खड़े पाइनि गुणी निधानु ॥१॥
Ḏar sevan sanṯ jan kẖaṛe pā▫in guṇī niḏẖān. ||1||
Standing at the Lord's Door, the humble Saints serve Him; they find the Treasure of Excellence. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਗੁਰ ਮੁਖਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ
मेरे मन गुर मुखि धिआइ हरि सोइ ॥
Mere man gur mukẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫e har so▫e.
O my mind, become Gurmukh, and meditate on the Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुर का सबदु मनि वसै मनु तनु निरमलु होइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ man vasai man ṯan nirmal ho▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad abides within the mind, and the body and mind become pure. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਆਪੇ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਆਇ
करि किरपा घरि आइआ आपे मिलिआ आइ ॥
Kar kirpā gẖar ā▫i▫ā āpe mili▫ā ā▫e.
By His Grace, He has come into my home; He Himself has come to meet me.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਰੰਗੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
गुर सबदी सालाहीऐ रंगे सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Gur sabḏī salāhī▫ai range sahj subẖā▫e.
Singing His Praises through the Shabads of the Guru, we are dyed in His Color with intuitive ease.

ਸਚੈ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
सचै सचि समाइआ मिलि रहै न विछुड़ि जाइ ॥२॥
Sacẖai sacẖ samā▫i▫ā mil rahai na vicẖẖuṛ jā▫e. ||2||
Becoming truthful, we merge with the True One; remaining blended with Him, we shall never be separated again. ||2||

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣਾ ਸੁ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਾਇ
जो किछु करणा सु करि रहिआ अवरु न करणा जाइ ॥
Jo kicẖẖ karṇā so kar rahi▫ā avar na karṇā jā▫e.
Whatever is to be done, the Lord is doing. No one else can do anything.

ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੇ ਮੇਲਿਅਨੁ ਸਤਗੁਰ ਪੰਨੈ ਪਾਇ
चिरी विछुंने मेलिअनु सतगुर पंनै पाइ ॥
Cẖirī vicẖẖune meli▫an saṯgur pannai pā▫e.
Those separated from Him for so long are reunited with Him once again by the True Guru, who takes them into His Own Account.

ਆਪੇ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਇਸੀ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
आपे कार कराइसी अवरु न करणा जाइ ॥३॥
Āpe kār karā▫isī avar na karṇā jā▫e. ||3||
He Himself assigns all to their tasks; nothing else can be done. ||3||

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ
मनु तनु रता रंग सिउ हउमै तजि विकार ॥
Man ṯan raṯā rang si▫o ha▫umai ṯaj vikār.
One whose mind and body are imbued with the Lord's Love gives up egotism and corruption.

ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ
अहिनिसि हिरदै रवि रहै निरभउ नामु निरंकार ॥
Ahinis hirḏai rav rahai nirbẖa▫o nām nirankār.
Day and night, the Name of the One Lord, the Fearless and Formless One, dwells within the heart.

ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੪੯॥
नानक आपि मिलाइअनु पूरै सबदि अपार ॥४॥१६॥४९॥
Nānak āp milā▫i▫an pūrai sabaḏ apār. ||4||16||49||
O Nanak, He blends us with Himself, through the Perfect, Infinite Word of His Shabad. ||4||16||49||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ

ਗੋਵਿਦੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ
गोविदु गुणी निधानु है अंतु न पाइआ जाइ ॥
Goviḏ guṇī niḏẖān hai anṯ na pā▫i▫ā jā▫e.
The Lord of the Universe is the Treasure of Excellence; His limits cannot be found.

ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਨੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ
कथनी बदनी न पाईऐ हउमै विचहु जाइ ॥
Kathnī baḏnī na pā▫ī▫ai ha▫umai vicẖahu jā▫e.
He is not obtained by mouthing mere words, but by rooting out ego from within.
