ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਚਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਈ
सचु सचा रसु जिनी चखिआ से त्रिपति रहे आघाई ॥
Sacẖ sacẖā ras jinī cẖakẖi▫ā se ṯaripaṯ rahe āgẖā▫ī.
Those who have tasted the true essence of the True Lord, remain satisfied and fulfilled.

ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਸੇਈ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗੈ ਮਿਠਿਆਈ ਖਾਈ
इहु हरि रसु सेई जाणदे जिउ गूंगै मिठिआई खाई ॥
Ih har ras se▫ī jāṇḏe ji▫o gūʼngai miṯẖi▫ā▫ī kẖā▫ī.
They know this essence of the Lord, but they say nothing, like the mute who tastes the sweet candy, and says nothing.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥੧੮॥
गुरि पूरै हरि प्रभु सेविआ मनि वजी वाधाई ॥१८॥
Gur pūrai har parabẖ sevi▫ā man vajī vāḏẖā▫ī. ||18||
The Perfect Guru serves the Lord God; His vibration vibrates and resounds in the mind. ||18||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
सलोक मः ४ ॥
Salok mėhlā 4.
Shalok, Fourth Mehl:

ਜਿਨਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਉਮਰਥਲ ਸੇਈ ਜਾਣਨਿ ਸੂਲੀਆ
जिना अंदरि उमरथल सेई जाणनि सूलीआ ॥
Jinā anḏar umarthal se▫ī jāṇan sūlī▫ā.
Those who have a festering boil within - they alone know its pain.

ਹਰਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਸਦ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੋਲੀਆ
हरि जाणहि सेई बिरहु हउ तिन विटहु सद घुमि घोलीआ ॥
Har jāṇėh se▫ī birahu ha▫o ṯin vitahu saḏ gẖum gẖolī▫ā.
Those who know the pain of separation from the Lord - I am forever a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them.

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰੁ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਤਲ ਰੋਲੀਆ
हरि मेलहु सजणु पुरखु मेरा सिरु तिन विटहु तल रोलीआ ॥
Har melhu sajaṇ purakẖ merā sir ṯin vitahu ṯal rolī▫ā.
O Lord, please lead me to meet the Guru, the Primal Being, my Friend; my head shall roll in the dust under His feet.

ਜੋ ਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਹਉ ਗੁਲਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਕਾ ਗੋਲੀਆ
जो सिख गुर कार कमावहि हउ गुलमु तिना का गोलीआ ॥
Jo sikẖ gur kār kamāvėh ha▫o gulam ṯinā kā golī▫ā.
I am the slave of the slaves of those GurSikhs who serve Him.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਭਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚੋਲੀਆ
हरि रंगि चलूलै जो रते तिन भिनी हरि रंगि चोलीआ ॥
Har rang cẖalūlai jo raṯe ṯin bẖinī har rang cẖolī▫ā.
Those who are imbued with the deep crimson color of the Lord's Love - their robes are drenched in the Love of the Lord.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਲਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਵੇਚਿਆ ਮੋਲੀਆ ॥੧॥
करि किरपा नानक मेलि गुर पहि सिरु वेचिआ मोलीआ ॥१॥
Kar kirpā Nānak mel gur pėh sir vecẖi▫ā molī▫ā. ||1||
Grant Your Grace, and lead Nanak to meet the Guru; I have sold my head to Him. ||1||

मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਅਉਗਣੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਉ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ
अउगणी भरिआ सरीरु है किउ संतहु निरमलु होइ ॥
A▫ugaṇī bẖari▫ā sarīr hai ki▫o sanṯahu nirmal ho▫e.
The body is full of mistakes and misdeeds; how can it become pure, O Saints?

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਣ ਵੇਹਾਝੀਅਹਿ ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਢੈ ਧੋਇ
गुरमुखि गुण वेहाझीअहि मलु हउमै कढै धोइ ॥
Gurmukẖ guṇ vehājẖī▫ah mal ha▫umai kadẖai ḏẖo▫e.
The Gurmukh purchases virtues, which wash off the sin of egotism.

ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਸਚੁ ਸਉਦਾ ਹੋਇ
सचु वणंजहि रंग सिउ सचु सउदा होइ ॥
Sacẖ vaṇaʼnjahi rang si▫o sacẖ sa▫uḏā ho▫e.
True is the trade which purchases the True Lord with love.

ਤੋਟਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਆਵਈ ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ
तोटा मूलि न आवई लाहा हरि भावै सोइ ॥
Ŧotā mūl na āvī lāhā har bẖāvai so▫e.
No loss will come from this, and the profit comes by the Lord's Will.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਿਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
नानक तिन सचु वणंजिआ जिना धुरि लिखिआ परापति होइ ॥२॥
Nānak ṯin sacẖ vaṇanji▫ā jinā ḏẖur likẖi▫ā parāpaṯ ho▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, they alone purchase the Truth, who are blessed with such pre-ordained destiny. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ
सालाही सचु सालाहणा सचु सचा पुरखु निराले ॥
Sālāhī sacẖ salāhṇā sacẖ sacẖā purakẖ nirāle.
I praise the True One, who alone is worthy of praise. The True Primal Being is True - this is His unique quality.

ਸਚੁ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ
सचु सेवी सचु मनि वसै सचु सचा हरि रखवाले ॥
Sacẖ sevī sacẖ man vasai sacẖ sacẖā har rakẖvāle.
Serving the True Lord, the Truth comes to dwell in the mind. The Lord, the Truest of the True, is my Protector.

ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਸੇ ਜਾਇ ਰਲੇ ਸਚ ਨਾਲੇ
सचु सचा जिनी अराधिआ से जाइ रले सच नाले ॥
Sacẖ sacẖā jinī arāḏẖi▫ā se jā▫e rale sacẖ nāle.
Those who worship and adore the Truest of the True, shall go and merge with the True Lord.

ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੂੜ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ
सचु सचा जिनी न सेविआ से मनमुख मूड़ बेताले ॥
Sacẖ sacẖā jinī na sevi▫ā se manmukẖ mūṛ beṯāle.
Those who do not serve the Truest of the True - those self-willed manmukhs are foolish demons.

ਓਹ ਆਲੁ ਪਤਾਲੁ ਮੁਹਹੁ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਜਿਉ ਪੀਤੈ ਮਦਿ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ॥੧੯॥
ओह आलु पतालु मुहहु बोलदे जिउ पीतै मदि मतवाले ॥१९॥
Oh āl paṯāl muhhu bolḏe ji▫o pīṯai maḏ maṯvāle. ||19||
With their mouths, they babble on about this and that, like the drunkard who has drunk his wine. ||19||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਹਲਾ
सलोक महला ३ ॥
Salok mėhlā 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਗਉੜੀ ਰਾਗਿ ਸੁਲਖਣੀ ਜੇ ਖਸਮੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇਇ
गउड़ी रागि सुलखणी जे खसमै चिति करेइ ॥
Ga▫oṛī rāg sulakẖ▫ṇī je kẖasmai cẖiṯ kare▫i.
Gauree Raga is auspicious, if, through it, one comes to think of his Lord and Master.

ਭਾਣੈ ਚਲੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਐਸਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰੇਇ
भाणै चलै सतिगुरू कै ऐसा सीगारु करेइ ॥
Bẖāṇai cẖalai saṯgurū kai aisā sīgār kare▫i.
He should walk in harmony with the Will of the True Guru; this should be his decoration.

ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇਇ
सचा सबदु भतारु है सदा सदा रावेइ ॥
Sacẖā sabaḏ bẖaṯār hai saḏā saḏā rāve▫e.
The True Word of the Shabad is our spouse; ravish and enjoy it, forever and ever.

ਜਿਉ ਉਬਲੀ ਮਜੀਠੈ ਰੰਗੁ ਗਹਗਹਾ ਤਿਉ ਸਚੇ ਨੋ ਜੀਉ ਦੇਇ
जिउ उबली मजीठै रंगु गहगहा तिउ सचे नो जीउ देइ ॥
Ji▫o ublī majīṯẖai rang gahgahā ṯi▫o sacẖe no jī▫o ḏe▫e.
Like the deep crimson color of the madder plant - such is the dye which shall color you, when you dedicate your soul to the True One.

ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਅਤਿ ਰਤੀ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਗਾ ਨੇਹੁ
रंगि चलूलै अति रती सचे सिउ लगा नेहु ॥
Rang cẖalūlai aṯ raṯī sacẖe si▫o lagā nehu.
One who loves the True Lord is totally imbued with the Lord's Love, like the deep crimson color of the poppy.

ਕੂੜੁ ਠਗੀ ਗੁਝੀ ਨਾ ਰਹੈ ਕੂੜੁ ਮੁਲੰਮਾ ਪਲੇਟਿ ਧਰੇਹੁ
कूड़ु ठगी गुझी ना रहै कूड़ु मुलमा पलेटि धरेहु ॥
Kūṛ ṯẖagī gujẖī nā rahai kūṛ mulammā palet ḏẖarehu.
Falsehood and deception may be covered with false coatings, but they cannot remain hidden.

ਕੂੜੀ ਕਰਨਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ ਕੂੜੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਗਾ ਨੇਹੁ
कूड़ी करनि वडाईआ कूड़े सिउ लगा नेहु ॥
Kūṛī karan vadā▫ī▫ā kūṛe si▫o lagā nehu.
False is the uttering of praises, by those who love falsehood.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥
नानक सचा आपि है आपे नदरि करेइ ॥१॥
Nānak sacẖā āp hai āpe naḏar kare▫i. ||1||
O Nanak, He alone is True; He Himself casts His Glance of Grace. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ
सतसंगति महि हरि उसतति है संगि साधू मिले पिआरिआ ॥
Saṯsangaṯ mėh har usṯaṯ hai sang sāḏẖū mile pi▫āri▫ā.
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the Lord's Praises are sung. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Beloved Lord is met.

ਓਇ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਧੰਨਿ ਜਨ ਹਹਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰਿਆ
ओइ पुरख प्राणी धंनि जन हहि उपदेसु करहि परउपकारिआ ॥
O▫e purakẖ parāṇī ḏẖan jan hėh upḏes karahi par▫upkāri▫ā.
Blessed is that mortal being, who shares the Teachings for the good of others.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਜਗੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਆ
हरि नामु द्रिड़ावहि हरि नामु सुणावहि हरि नामे जगु निसतारिआ ॥
Har nām ḏariṛāvėh har nām suṇāvėh har nāme jag nisṯāri▫ā.
He implants the Name of the Lord, and he preaches the Name of the Lord; through the Name of the Lord, the world is saved.

ਗੁਰ ਵੇਖਣ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਚੈ ਨਵ ਖੰਡ ਜਗਤਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਿਆ
गुर वेखण कउ सभु कोई लोचै नव खंड जगति नमसकारिआ ॥
Gur vekẖaṇ ka▫o sabẖ ko▫ī locẖai nav kẖand jagaṯ namaskāri▫ā.
Everyone longs to see the Guru; the world, and the nine continents, bow down to Him.

ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ
तुधु आपे आपु रखिआ सतिगुर विचि गुरु आपे तुधु सवारिआ ॥
Ŧuḏẖ āpe āp rakẖi▫ā saṯgur vicẖ gur āpe ṯuḏẖ savāri▫ā.
You Yourself have established the True Guru; You Yourself have adorned the Guru.

ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਿਆ
तू आपे पूजहि पूज करावहि सतिगुर कउ सिरजणहारिआ ॥
Ŧū āpe pūjėh pūj karāvėh saṯgur ka▫o sirjaṇhāri▫ā.
You Yourself worship and adore the True Guru; You inspire others to worship Him as well, O Creator Lord.

ਕੋਈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਾਲਾ ਮੁਹੁ ਜਮਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ
कोई विछुड़ि जाइ सतिगुरू पासहु तिसु काला मुहु जमि मारिआ ॥
Ko▫ī vicẖẖuṛ jā▫e saṯgurū pāshu ṯis kālā muhu jam māri▫ā.
If someone separates himself from the True Guru, his face is blackened, and he is destroyed by the Messenger of Death.
