सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Sirīrāg mėhlā 3.
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਾਣੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ
अम्रितु छोडि बिखिआ लोभाणे सेवा करहि विडाणी ॥
Amriṯ cẖẖod bikẖi▫ā lobẖāṇe sevā karahi vidāṇī.
Discarding the Ambrosial Nectar, they greedily grab the poison; they serve others, instead of the Lord.

ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਹਿ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਦੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ
आपणा धरमु गवावहि बूझहि नाही अनदिनु दुखि विहाणी ॥
Āpṇā ḏẖaram gavāvėh būjẖėh nāhī an▫ḏin ḏukẖ vihāṇī.
They lose their faith, they have no understanding; night and day, they suffer in pain.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਚੇਤਹੀ ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
मनमुख अंध न चेतही डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी ॥१॥
Manmukẖ anḏẖ na cẖeṯhī dūb mu▫e bin pāṇī. ||1||
The blind, self-willed manmukhs do not even think of the Lord; they are drowned to death without water. ||1||

ਮਨ ਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਭਜਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ
मन रे सदा भजहु हरि सरणाई ॥
Man re saḏā bẖajahu har sarṇā▫ī.
O mind, vibrate and meditate forever on the Lord; seek the Protection of His Sanctuary.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुर का सबदु अंतरि वसै ता हरि विसरि न जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ anṯar vasai ṯā har visar na jā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
If the Word of the Guru's Shabad abides deep within, then you shall not forget the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਇਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੁਸਟੀ ਪਾਈ
इहु सरीरु माइआ का पुतला विचि हउमै दुसटी पाई ॥
Ih sarīr mā▫i▫ā kā puṯlā vicẖ ha▫umai ḏustī pā▫ī.
This body is the puppet of Maya. The evil of egotism is within it.

ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ
आवणु जाणा जमणु मरणा मनमुखि पति गवाई ॥
Āvaṇ jāṇā jamaṇ marṇā manmukẖ paṯ gavā▫ī.
Coming and going through birth and death, the self-willed manmukhs lose their honor.

ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
सतगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ जोती जोति मिलाई ॥२॥
Saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā joṯī joṯ milā▫ī. ||2||
Serving the True Guru, eternal peace is obtained, and one's light merges into the Light. ||2||

ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜੋ ਇਛੇ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ
सतगुर की सेवा अति सुखाली जो इछे सो फलु पाए ॥
Saṯgur kī sevā aṯ sukẖālī jo icẖẖe so fal pā▫e.
Serving the True Guru brings a deep and profound peace, and one's desires are fulfilled.

ਜਤੁ ਸਤੁ ਤਪੁ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਸਰੀਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ
जतु सतु तपु पवितु सरीरा हरि हरि मंनि वसाए ॥
Jaṯ saṯ ṯap paviṯ sarīrā har har man vasā▫e.
Abstinence, truthfulness and self-discipline are obtained, and the body is purified; the Lord, Har, Har, comes to dwell within the mind.

ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
सदा अनंदि रहै दिनु राती मिलि प्रीतम सुखु पाए ॥३॥
Saḏā anand rahai ḏin rāṯī mil parīṯam sukẖ pā▫e. ||3||
Such a person remains blissful forever, day and night. Meeting the Beloved, peace is found. ||3||

ਜੋ ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ
जो सतगुर की सरणागती हउ तिन कै बलि जाउ ॥
Jo saṯgur kī sarṇāgaṯī ha▫o ṯin kai bal jā▫o.
I am a sacrifice to those who seek the Sanctuary of the True Guru.

ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਉ
दरि सचै सची वडिआई सहजे सचि समाउ ॥
Ḏar sacẖai sacẖī vadi▫ā▫ī sėhje sacẖ samā▫o.
In the Court of the True One, they are blessed with true greatness; they are intuitively absorbed into the True Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੪੫॥
नानक नदरी पाईऐ गुरमुखि मेलि मिलाउ ॥४॥१२॥४५॥
Nānak naḏrī pā▫ī▫ai gurmukẖ mel milā▫o. ||4||12||45||
O Nanak, by His Glance of Grace He is found; the Gurmukh is united in His Union. ||4||12||45||

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਣੇ ਜਿਉ ਦੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਤਨਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ
मनमुख करम कमावणे जिउ दोहागणि तनि सीगारु ॥
Manmukẖ karam kamāvṇe ji▫o ḏohāgaṇ ṯan sīgār.
The self-willed manmukh performs religious rituals, like the unwanted bride decorating her body.

ਸੇਜੈ ਕੰਤੁ ਆਵਈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ
सेजै कंतु न आवई नित नित होइ खुआरु ॥
Sejai kanṯ na āvī niṯ niṯ ho▫e kẖu▫ār.
Her Husband Lord does not come to her bed; day after day, she grows more and more miserable.

ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵਈ ਨਾ ਦੀਸੈ ਘਰੁ ਬਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
पिर का महलु न पावई ना दीसै घरु बारु ॥१॥
Pir kā mahal na pāv▫ī nā ḏīsai gẖar bār. ||1||
She does not attain the Mansion of His Presence; she does not find the door to His House. ||1||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ
भाई रे इक मनि नामु धिआइ ॥
Bẖā▫ī re ik man nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
O Siblings of Destiny, meditate on the Naam with one-pointed mind.

ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
संता संगति मिलि रहै जपि राम नामु सुखु पाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sanṯā sangaṯ mil rahai jap rām nām sukẖ pā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Remain united with the Society of the Saints; chant the Name of the Lord, and find peace. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ
गुरमुखि सदा सोहागणी पिरु राखिआ उर धारि ॥
Gurmukẖ saḏā sohāgaṇī pir rākẖi▫ā ur ḏẖār.
The Gurmukh is the happy and pure soul-bride forever. She keeps her Husband Lord enshrined within her heart.

ਮਿਠਾ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਸੇਜੈ ਰਵੈ ਭਤਾਰੁ
मिठा बोलहि निवि चलहि सेजै रवै भतारु ॥
Miṯẖā bolėh niv cẖalėh sejai ravai bẖaṯār.
Her speech is sweet, and her way of life is humble. She enjoys the Bed of her Husband Lord.

ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਹੇਤੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
सोभावंती सोहागणी जिन गुर का हेतु अपारु ॥२॥
Sobẖāvanṯī sohāgaṇī jin gur kā heṯ apār. ||2||
The happy and pure soul-bride is noble; she has infinite love for the Guru. ||2||

ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਾ ਭਾਗੈ ਕਾ ਉਦਉ ਹੋਇ
पूरै भागि सतगुरु मिलै जा भागै का उदउ होइ ॥
Pūrai bẖāg saṯgur milai jā bẖāgai kā uḏ▫u ho▫e.
By perfect good fortune, one meets the True Guru, when one's destiny is awakened.

ਅੰਤਰਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ
अंतरहु दुखु भ्रमु कटीऐ सुखु परापति होइ ॥
Anṯrahu ḏukẖ bẖaram katī▫ai sukẖ parāpaṯ ho▫e.
Suffering and doubt are cut out from within, and peace is obtained.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੋ ਚਲੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੩॥
गुर कै भाणै जो चलै दुखु न पावै कोइ ॥३॥
Gur kai bẖāṇai jo cẖalai ḏukẖ na pāvai ko▫e. ||3||
One who walks in harmony with the Guru's Will shall not suffer in pain. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ
गुर के भाणे विचि अम्रितु है सहजे पावै कोइ ॥
Gur ke bẖāṇe vicẖ amriṯ hai sėhje pāvai ko▫e.
The Amrit, the Ambrosial Nectar, is in the Guru's Will. With intuitive ease, it is obtained.

ਜਿਨਾ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਪੀਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਖੋਇ
जिना परापति तिन पीआ हउमै विचहु खोइ ॥
Jinā parāpaṯ ṯin pī▫ā ha▫umai vicẖahu kẖo▫e.
Those who are destined to have it, drink it in; their egotism is eradicated from within.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਚਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੪੬॥
नानक गुरमुखि नामु धिआईऐ सचि मिलावा होइ ॥४॥१३॥४६॥
Nānak gurmukẖ nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sacẖ milāvā ho▫e. ||4||13||46||
O Nanak, the Gurmukh meditates on the Naam, and is united with the True Lord. ||4||13||46||

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ

ਜਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਧਰੇਇ
जा पिरु जाणै आपणा तनु मनु अगै धरेइ ॥
Jā pir jāṇai āpṇā ṯan man agai ḏẖare▫e.
If you know that He is your Husband Lord, offer your body and mind to Him.

ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੀਆ ਸੇਈ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇਇ
सोहागणी करम कमावदीआ सेई करम करेइ ॥
Sohāgaṇī karam kamāvḏī▫ā se▫ī karam kare▫i.
Behave like the happy and pure soul-bride.

ਸਹਜੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੜਾ ਸਾਚੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਦੇਇ ॥੧॥
सहजे साचि मिलावड़ा साचु वडाई देइ ॥१॥
Sėhje sācẖ milāvṛā sācẖ vadā▫ī ḏe▫e. ||1||
With intuitive ease, you shall merge with the True Lord, and He shall bless you with true greatness. ||1||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ
भाई रे गुर बिनु भगति न होइ ॥
Bẖā▫ī re gur bin bẖagaṯ na ho▫e.
O Siblings of Destiny, without the Guru, there is no devotional worship.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
बिनु गुर भगति न पाईऐ जे लोचै सभु कोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bin gur bẖagaṯ na pā▫ī▫ai je locẖai sabẖ ko▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Without the Guru, devotion is not obtained, even though everyone may long for it. ||1||Pause||

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਫੇਰੁ ਪਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ
लख चउरासीह फेरु पइआ कामणि दूजै भाइ ॥
Lakẖ cẖa▫orāsīh fer pa▫i▫ā kāmaṇ ḏūjai bẖā▫e.
The soul-bride in love with duality goes around the wheel of reincarnation, through 8.4 million incarnations.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਨੀਦ ਆਵਈ ਦੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ
बिनु गुर नीद न आवई दुखी रैणि विहाइ ॥
Bin gur nīḏ na āvī ḏukẖī raiṇ vihā▫e.
Without the Guru, she finds no sleep, and she passes her life-night in pain.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੨॥
बिनु सबदै पिरु न पाईऐ बिरथा जनमु गवाइ ॥२॥
Bin sabḏai pir na pā▫ī▫ai birthā janam gavā▫e. ||2||
Without the Shabad, she does not find her Husband Lord, and her life wastes away in vain. ||2||
