ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਿਲੁ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੮॥
vadbẖāgī mil sangṯī mere govinḏā jan Nānak nām siḏẖ kājai jī▫o. ||4||4||30||68||
By great good fortune, one joins the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, O my Lord of the Universe; O servant Nanak, through the Naam, one's affairs are resolved. ||4||4||30||68||

ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਲਗਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Mai har nāmai har birahu lagā▫ī jī▫o.
The Lord has implanted a longing for the Lord's Name within me.

ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Merā har parabẖ miṯ milai sukẖ pā▫ī jī▫o.
I have met the Lord God, my Best Friend, and I have found peace.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har parabẖ ḏekẖ jīvā merī mā▫ī jī▫o.
Beholding my Lord God, I live, O my mother.

ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Merā nām sakẖā har bẖā▫ī jī▫o. ||1||
The Lord's Name is my Friend and Brother. ||1||

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
Guṇ gāvhu sanṯ jī▫o mere har parabẖ kere jī▫o.
O Dear Saints, sing the Glorious Praises of my Lord God.

ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਗ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
Jap gurmukẖ nām jī▫o bẖāg vadere jī▫o.
As Gurmukh, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O very fortunate ones.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har har nām jī▫o parān har mere jī▫o.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is my soul and my breath of life.

ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲ ਫੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Fir bahuṛ na bẖavjal fere jī▫o. ||2||
I shall never again have to cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||
|
ਕਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਵੇਖਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥
Ki▫o har parabẖ vekẖā merai man ṯan cẖā▫o jī▫o.
How shall I behold my Lord God? My mind and body yearn for Him.

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮਨਿ ਲਗਾ ਭਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o man lagā bẖā▫o jī▫o.
Unite me with the Lord, Dear Saints; my mind is in love with Him.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥
Gur sabḏī pā▫ī▫ai har parīṯam rā▫o jī▫o.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I have found the Sovereign Lord, my Beloved.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
vadbẖāgī jap nā▫o jī▫o. ||3||
O very fortunate ones, chant the Name of the Lord. ||3||

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਡੜੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Merai man ṯan vadṛī govinḏ parabẖ āsā jī▫o.
Within my mind and body, there is such a great longing for God, the Lord of the Universe.

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o goviḏ parabẖ pāsā jī▫o.
Unite me with the Lord, Dear Saints. God, the Lord of the Universe, is so close to me.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Saṯgur maṯ nām saḏā pargāsā jī▫o.
Through the Teachings of the True Guru, the Naam is always revealed;

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਿਅੜੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੫॥੩੧॥੬੯॥
Jan Nānak pūri▫aṛī man āsā jī▫o. ||4||5||31||69||
the desires of servant Nanak's mind have been fulfilled. ||4||5||31||69||

ਮੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਹੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾ ਜੀਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Merā birhī nām milai ṯā jīvā jī▫o.
If I receive my Love, the Naam, then I live.
|
ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਲੀਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Man anḏar amriṯ gurmaṯ har līvā jī▫o.
In the temple of the mind, is the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord; through the Guru's Teachings, we drink it in.

ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਪੀਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
Man har rang raṯ▫ṛā har ras saḏā pīvā jī▫o.
My mind is drenched with the Love of the Lord. I continually drink in the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਅੜਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Har pā▫i▫aṛā man jīvā jī▫o. ||1||
I have found the Lord within my mind, and so I live. ||1||
|
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਲਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Merai man ṯan parem lagā har bāṇ jī▫o.
The arrow of the Lord's Love has pierced by mind and body.

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Merā parīṯam miṯar har purakẖ sujāṇ jī▫o.
The Lord, the Primal Being, is All-knowing; He is my Beloved and my Best Friend.

ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Gur mele sanṯ har sugẖaṛ sujāṇ jī▫o.
The Saintly Guru has united me with the All-knowing and All-seeing Lord.

ਹਉ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Ha▫o nām vitahu kurbāṇ jī▫o. ||2||
I am a sacrifice to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
|
ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਤੁ ਦਸਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Ha▫o har har sajaṇ har mīṯ ḏasā▫ī jī▫o.
I seek my Lord, Har, Har, my Intimate, my Best Friend.
|
ਹਰਿ ਦਸਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਖੋਜੁ ਪਵਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har ḏashu sanṯahu jī har kẖoj pavā▫ī jī▫o.
Show me the way to the Lord, Dear Saints; I am searching all over for Him.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਠੜਾ ਦਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Saṯgur ṯuṯẖ▫ṛā ḏase har pā▫ī jī▫o.
The Kind and Compassionate True Guru has shown me the Way, and I have found the Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Har nāme nām samā▫ī jī▫o. ||3||
Through the Name of the Lord, I am absorbed in the Naam. ||3||
|
ਮੈ ਵੇਦਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਲਗਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Mai veḏan parem har birahu lagā▫ī jī▫o.
I am consumed with the pain of separation from the Love of the Lord.
|
ਗੁਰ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Gur sarḏẖā pūr amriṯ mukẖ pā▫ī jī▫o.
The Guru has fulfilled my desire, and I have received the Ambrosial Nectar in my mouth.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
Har hohu ḏa▫i▫āl har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī jī▫o.
The Lord has become merciful, and now I meditate on the Name of the Lord.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੬॥੨੦॥੧੮॥੩੨॥੭੦॥
Jan Nānak har ras pā▫ī jī▫o. ||4||6||20||18||32||70||

Kin biḏẖ kusal hoṯ mere bẖā▫ī.
How can happiness be found, O my Siblings of Destiny?

ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ki▫o pā▫ī▫ai har rām sahā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
How can the Lord, our Help and Support, be found? ||1||Pause||

ਕੁਸਲੁ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Kusal na garihi merī sabẖ mā▫i▫ā.
There is no happiness in owning one's own home, in all of Maya,
|
ਊਚੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
Ūcẖe manḏar sunḏar cẖẖā▫i▫ā.
or in lofty mansions casting beautiful shadows.
|
ਝੂਠੇ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Jẖūṯẖe lālacẖ janam gavā▫i▫ā. ||1||
In fraud and greed, this human life is being wasted. ||1||
|
