ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਝੋਕਿ ਵਰਸਦਾ ਬੂੰਦ ਪਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
चारे कुंडा झोकि वरसदा बूंद पवै सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Cẖāre kundā jẖok varasḏā būnḏ pavai sahj subẖā▫e.
The clouds are heavy, hanging low, and the rain is pouring down on all sides; the rain-drop is received, with natural ease.

ਜਲ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਊਪਜੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਜਲ ਪਿਆਸ ਜਾਇ
जल ही ते सभ ऊपजै बिनु जल पिआस न जाइ ॥
Jal hī ṯe sabẖ ūpjai bin jal pi▫ās na jā▫e.
From water, everything is produced; without water, thirst is not quenched.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਭੂਖ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੫੫॥
नानक हरि जलु जिनि पीआ तिसु भूख न लागै आइ ॥५५॥
Nānak har jal jin pī▫ā ṯis bẖūkẖ na lāgai ā▫e. ||55||
O Nanak, whoever drinks in the Water of the Lord, shall never feel hunger again. ||55||

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਤੂੰ ਸਹਜਿ ਬੋਲਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
बाबीहा तूं सहजि बोलि सचै सबदि सुभाइ ॥
Bābīhā ṯūʼn sahj bol sacẖai sabaḏ subẖā▫e.
O rainbird, speak the Shabad, the True Word of God, with natural peace and poise.

ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਦਿਖਾਇ
सभु किछु तेरै नालि है सतिगुरि दीआ दिखाइ ॥
Sabẖ kicẖẖ ṯerai nāl hai saṯgur ḏī▫ā ḏikẖā▫e.
Everything is with you; the True Guru will show you this.

ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵੁਠਾ ਛਹਬਰ ਲਾਇ
आपु पछाणहि प्रीतमु मिलै वुठा छहबर लाइ ॥
Āp pacẖẖāṇėh parīṯam milai vuṯẖā cẖẖahbar lā▫e.
So understand your own self, and meet your Beloved; His Grace shall rain down in torrents.

ਝਿਮਿ ਝਿਮਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵਰਸਦਾ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ
झिमि झिमि अम्रितु वरसदा तिसना भुख सभ जाइ ॥
Jẖim jẖim amriṯ varasḏā ṯisnā bẖukẖ sabẖ jā▫e.
Drop by drop, the Ambrosial Nectar rains down softly and gently; thirst and hunger are completely gone.

ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ
कूक पुकार न होवई जोती जोति मिलाइ ॥
Kūk pukār na hova▫ī joṯī joṯ milā▫e.
Your cries and screams of anguish have ceased; your light shall merge into the Light.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਵਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਸਚੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੫੬॥
नानक सुखि सवन्हि सोहागणी सचै नामि समाइ ॥५६॥
Nānak sukẖ savniĥ sohāgaṇī sacẖai nām samā▫e. ||56||
O Nanak, the happy soul-brides sleep in peace; they are absorbed in the True Name. ||56||

ਧੁਰਹੁ ਖਸਮਿ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸਚੈ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਪਠਾਇ
धुरहु खसमि भेजिआ सचै हुकमि पठाइ ॥
Ḏẖarahu kẖasam bẖeji▫ā sacẖai hukam paṯẖā▫e.
The Primal Lord and Master has sent out the True Hukam of His Command.

ਇੰਦੁ ਵਰਸੈ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਗੂੜ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਛਹਬਰ ਲਾਇ
इंदु वरसै दइआ करि गूड़्ही छहबर लाइ ॥
Inḏ varsai ḏa▫i▫ā kar gūṛĥī cẖẖahbar lā▫e.
Indra mercifully sends forth the rain, which falls in torrents.

ਬਾਬੀਹੇ ਤਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਜਾਂ ਤਤੁ ਬੂੰਦ ਮੁਹਿ ਪਾਇ
बाबीहे तनि मनि सुखु होइ जां ततु बूंद मुहि पाइ ॥
Bābīhe ṯan man sukẖ ho▫e jāʼn ṯaṯ būnḏ muhi pā▫e.
The body and mind of the rainbird are happy. only when the rain-drop falls into its mouth.

ਅਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਉਪਜੈ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਇ
अनु धनु बहुता उपजै धरती सोभा पाइ ॥
An ḏẖan bahuṯā upjai ḏẖarṯī sobẖā pā▫e.
The corn grows high, wealth increases, and the earth is embellished with beauty.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਲੋਕੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ
अनदिनु लोकु भगति करे गुर कै सबदि समाइ ॥
An▫ḏin lok bẖagaṯ kare gur kai sabaḏ samā▫e.
Night and day, people worship the Lord with devotion, and are absorbed in the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੈ ਰਜਾਇ
आपे सचा बखसि लए करि किरपा करै रजाइ ॥
Āpe sacẖā bakẖas la▫e kar kirpā karai rajā▫e.
The True Lord Himself forgives them, and showering them with His Mercy, He leads them to walk in His Will.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਕਾਮਣੀ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ
हरि गुण गावहु कामणी सचै सबदि समाइ ॥
Har guṇ gāvhu kāmṇī sacẖai sabaḏ samā▫e.
O brides, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and be absorbed in the True Word of His Shabad.

ਭੈ ਕਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰਿਹੁ ਸਚਿ ਰਹਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ
भै का सहजु सीगारु करिहु सचि रहहु लिव लाइ ॥
Bẖai kā sahj sīgār karihu sacẖ rahhu liv lā▫e.
Let the Fear of God be your decoration, and remain lovingly attuned to the True Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੋ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੫੭॥
नानक नामो मनि वसै हरि दरगह लए छडाइ ॥५७॥
Nānak nāmo man vasai har ḏargėh la▫e cẖẖadā▫e. ||57||
O Nanak, the Naam abides in the mind, and the mortal is saved in the Court of the Lord. ||57||

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਊਡਿ ਚੜਹਿ ਆਕਾਸਿ
बाबीहा सगली धरती जे फिरहि ऊडि चड़हि आकासि ॥
Bābīhā saglī ḏẖarṯī je firėh ūd cẖaṛėh ākās.
The rainbird wanders all over the earth, soaring high through the skies.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਚੂਕੈ ਭੂਖ ਪਿਆਸ
सतिगुरि मिलिऐ जलु पाईऐ चूकै भूख पिआस ॥
Saṯgur mili▫ai jal pā▫ī▫ai cẖūkai bẖūkẖ pi▫ās.
But it obtains the drop of water, only when it meets the True Guru, and then, its hunger and thirst are relieved.

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਪਾਸਿ
जीउ पिंडु सभु तिस का सभु किछु तिस कै पासि ॥
Jī▫o pind sabẖ ṯis kā sabẖ kicẖẖ ṯis kai pās.
Soul and body and all belong to Him; everything is His.

ਵਿਣੁ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਕੀਚੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ
विणु बोलिआ सभु किछु जाणदा किसु आगै कीचै अरदासि ॥
viṇ boli▫ā sabẖ kicẖẖ jāṇḏā kis āgai kīcẖai arḏās.
He knows everything, without being told; unto whom should we offer our prayers?

ਨਾਨਕ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਏਕੋ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੫੮॥
नानक घटि घटि एको वरतदा सबदि करे परगास ॥५८॥
Nānak gẖat gẖat eko varaṯḏā sabaḏ kare pargās. ||58||
O Nanak, the One Lord is pervading and permeating each and every heart; the Word of the Shabad brings illumination. ||58||

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੈ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਮਾਇ
नानक तिसै बसंतु है जि सतिगुरु सेवि समाइ ॥
Nānak ṯisai basanṯ hai jė saṯgur sev samā▫e.
O Nanak, the season of spring comes to one who serves the True Guru.

ਹਰਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਪਰਫੜੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫੯॥
हरि वुठा मनु तनु सभु परफड़ै सभु जगु हरीआवलु होइ ॥५९॥
Har vuṯẖā man ṯan sabẖ parfaṛai sabẖ jag harī▫āval ho▫e. ||59||
The Lord rains His Mercy down upon him, and his mind and body totally blossom forth; the entire world becomes green and rejuvenated. ||59||

ਸਬਦੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ
सबदे सदा बसंतु है जितु तनु मनु हरिआ होइ ॥
Sabḏe saḏā basanṯ hai jiṯ ṯan man hari▫ā ho▫e.
The Word of the Shabad brings eternal spring; it rejuvenates the mind and body.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਿਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੬੦॥
नानक नामु न वीसरै जिनि सिरिआ सभु कोइ ॥६०॥
Nānak nām na vīsrai jin siri▫ā sabẖ ko▫e. ||60||
O Nanak, do not forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, which has created everyone. ||60||

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਇ
नानक तिना बसंतु है जिना गुरमुखि वसिआ मनि सोइ ॥
Nānak ṯinā basanṯ hai jinā gurmukẖ vasi▫ā man so▫e.
O Nanak, it is the spring season, for those Gurmukhs, within whose minds the Lord abides.

ਹਰਿ ਵੁਠੈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਪਰਫੜੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੬੧॥
हरि वुठै मनु तनु परफड़ै सभु जगु हरिआ होइ ॥६१॥
Har vuṯẖai man ṯan parfaṛai sabẖ jag hari▫ā ho▫e. ||61||
When the Lord showers His Mercy, the mind and body blossom forth, and all the world turns green and lush. ||61||

ਵਡੜੈ ਝਾਲਿ ਝਲੁੰਭਲੈ ਨਾਵੜਾ ਲਈਐ ਕਿਸੁ
वडड़ै झालि झलु्मभलै नावड़ा लईऐ किसु ॥
vadṛai jẖāl jẖalumbẖlai nāvṛā la▫ī▫ai kis.
In the early hours of the morning, whose name should we chant?

ਨਾਉ ਲਈਐ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੈ ਭੰਨਣ ਘੜਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥੬੨॥
नाउ लईऐ परमेसरै भंनण घड़ण समरथु ॥६२॥
Nā▫o la▫ī▫ai parmesrai bẖannaṇ gẖaṛaṇ samrath. ||62||
Chant the Name of the Transcendent Lord, who is All-powerful to create and destroy. ||62||

ਹਰਹਟ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਭਲੀ ਬਾਣਿ
हरहट भी तूं तूं करहि बोलहि भली बाणि ॥
Harhat bẖī ṯūʼn ṯūʼn karahi bolėh bẖalī bāṇ.
The Persian wheel also cries out, "Too! Too! You! You!", with sweet and sublime sounds.

ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ਹੈ ਕਿਆ ਉਚੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ
साहिबु सदा हदूरि है किआ उची करहि पुकार ॥
Sāhib saḏā haḏūr hai ki▫ā ucẖī karahi pukār.
Our Lord and Master is always present; why do you cry out to Him in such a loud voice?

ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਸੈ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ
जिनि जगतु उपाइ हरि रंगु कीआ तिसै विटहु कुरबाणु ॥
Jin jagaṯ upā▫e har rang kī▫ā ṯisai vitahu kurbāṇ.
I am a sacrifice to that Lord who created the world, and who loves it.

ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਹਿ ਤਾਂ ਸਹੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਚਾ ਏਹੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ
आपु छोडहि तां सहु मिलै सचा एहु वीचारु ॥
Āp cẖẖodėh ṯāʼn saho milai sacẖā ehu vīcẖār.
Give up your selfishness, and then you shall meet your Husband Lord. Consider this Truth.

ਹਉਮੈ ਫਿਕਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਬੁਝਿ ਸਕਾ ਕਾਰ
हउमै फिका बोलणा बुझि न सका कार ॥
Ha▫umai fikā bolṇā bujẖ na sakā kār.
Speaking in shallow egotism, no one understands the Ways of God.

ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣੁ ਤੁਝੈ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਣ
वणु त्रिणु त्रिभवणु तुझै धिआइदा अनदिनु सदा विहाण ॥
vaṇ ṯariṇ ṯaribẖavaṇ ṯujẖai ḏẖi▫ā▫iḏā an▫ḏin saḏā vihāṇ.
The forests and fields, and all the three worlds meditate on You, O Lord; this is the way they pass their days and nights forever.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਥਕੇ ਵੀਚਾਰ
बिनु सतिगुर किनै न पाइआ करि करि थके वीचार ॥
Bin saṯgur kinai na pā▫i▫ā kar kar thake vīcẖār.
Without the True Guru, no one finds the Lord. People have grown weary of thinking about it.
