ਕਵਿ ਕੀਰਤ ਜੋ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਮੁੜਿ ਲਾਗਹਿ ਤਿਨੑ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜਮ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸੁ ॥
कवि कीरत जो संत चरन मुड़ि लागहि तिन्ह काम क्रोध जम को नही त्रासु ॥
Kav keeraṫ jo sanṫ charan muṛ laagėh ṫinĥ kaam kroḋʰ jam ko nahee ṫaraas.
So speaks Keerat the poet: those who grasp hold of the feet of the Saints, are not afraid of death, sexual desire or anger.

ਜਿਵ ਅੰਗਦੁ ਅੰਗਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਤਿਵ ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਕੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
जिव अंगदु अंगि संगि नानक गुर तिव गुर अमरदास कै गुरु रामदासु ॥१॥
Jiv angaḋ ang sang Naanak gur ṫiv gur Amarḋaas kæ gur Raamḋaas. ||1||
Just as Guru Nanak was part and parcel, life and limb with Guru Angad, so is Guru Amar Das one with Guru Ram Das. ||1||

ਜਿਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਯਉ ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
जिनि सतिगुरु सेवि पदारथु पायउ निसि बासुर हरि चरन निवासु ॥
Jin saṫgur sév paḋaaraṫʰ paa▫ya▫o nis baasur har charan nivaas.
Whoever serves the True Guru obtains the treasure; night and day, he dwells at the Lord’s Feet.

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਘਨ ਭਾਇ ਭਉ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਲੀਆਗਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸੁਬਾਸੁ ॥
ता ते संगति सघन भाइ भउ मानहि तुम मलीआगर प्रगट सुबासु ॥
Ṫaa ṫé sangaṫ sagʰan bʰaa▫é bʰa▫o maanėh ṫum malee▫aagar pargat subaas.
And so, the entire Sangat loves, fears and respects You. You are the sandalwood tree; Your fragrance spreads gloriously far and wide.

ਧ੍ਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਿਲੋਚਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਉਪਜੵੋ ਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
ध्रू प्रहलाद कबीर तिलोचन नामु लैत उपज्यो जु प्रगासु ॥
Ḋʰaroo parahlaaḋ Kabeer ṫilochan naam læṫ upjéo jo pargaas.
Dhroo, Prahlaad, Kabir and Trilochan chanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and His Illumination radiantly shines forth.

ਜਿਹ ਪਿਖਤ ਅਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਈ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਰੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥੨॥
जिह पिखत अति होइ रहसु मनि सोई संत सहारु गुरू रामदासु ॥२॥
Jih pikʰaṫ aṫ ho▫é rahas man so▫ee sanṫ sahaar guroo Raamḋaas. ||2||
Seeing Him, the mind is totally delighted; Guru Ram Das is the Helper and Support of the Saints. ||2||

ਨਾਨਕਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਜਾਨੵਉ ਕੀਨੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
नानकि नामु निरंजन जान्यउ कीनी भगति प्रेम लिव लाई ॥
Naanak naam niranjan jaan▫ya▫o keenee bʰagaṫ parém liv laa▫ee.
Guru Nanak realized the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord. He was lovingly attuned to loving devotional worship of the Lord.

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਦੁ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਯੋ ਸਾਇਰੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਨੀਵ ਰਖਾਈ ॥
ता ते अंगदु अंग संगि भयो साइरु तिनि सबद सुरति की नीव रखाई ॥
Ṫaa ṫé angaḋ ang sang bʰa▫yo saa▫ir ṫin sabaḋ suraṫ kee neev rakʰaa▫ee.
Guru Angad was with Him, life and limb, like the ocean; He showered His consciousness with the Word of the Shabad.

ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਜੀਹ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
गुर अमरदास की अकथ कथा है इक जीह कछु कही न जाई ॥
Gur Amarḋaas kee akaṫʰ kaṫʰaa hæ ik jeeh kachʰ kahee na jaa▫ee.
The Unspoken Speech of Guru Amar Das cannot be expressed with only one tongue.

ਸੋਢੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ੍ਟਿ ਸਕਲ ਤਾਰਣ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੀ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੩॥
सोढी स्रिस्टि सकल तारण कउ अब गुर रामदास कउ मिली बडाई ॥३॥
Sodʰee sarisat sakal ṫaaraṇ ka▫o ab gur Raamḋaas ka▫o milee badaa▫ee. ||3||
Guru Ram Das of the Sodhi dynasty has now been blessed with Glorious Greatness, to carry the whole world across. ||3||

ਹਮ ਅਵਗੁਣਿ ਭਰੇ ਏਕੁ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਈ ॥
हम अवगुणि भरे एकु गुणु नाही अमृतु छाडि बिखै बिखु खाई ॥
Ham avguṇ bʰaré ék guṇ naahee amriṫ chʰaad bikʰæ bikʰ kʰaa▫ee.
I am overflowing with sins and demerits; I have no merits or virtues at all. I abandoned the Ambrosial Nectar, and I drank poison instead.

ਮਾਯਾ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ਪੈ ਭੂਲੇ ਸੁਤ ਦਾਰਾ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ॥
माया मोह भरम पै भूले सुत दारा सिउ प्रीति लगाई ॥
Maa▫yaa moh bʰaram pæ bʰoolé suṫ ḋaaraa si▫o pareeṫ lagaa▫ee.
I am attached to Maya, and deluded by doubt; I have fallen in love with my children and spouse.

ਇਕੁ ਉਤਮ ਪੰਥੁ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਮਿਲੰਤ ਜਮ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥
इकु उतम पंथु सुनिओ गुर संगति तिह मिलंत जम त्रास मिटाई ॥
Ik uṫam panṫʰ suni▫o gur sangaṫ ṫih milanṫ jam ṫaraas mitaa▫ee.
I have heard that the most exalted Path of all is the Sangat, the Guru’s Congregation. Joining it, the fear of death is taken away.

ਇਕ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਭਾਟ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੫੮॥
इक अरदासि भाट कीरति की गुर रामदास राखहु सरणाई ॥४॥५८॥
Ik arḋaas bʰaat keeraṫ kee gur Raamḋaas raakʰo sarṇaa▫ee. ||4||58||
Keerat the poet offers this one prayer: O Guru Ram Das, save me! Take me into Your Sanctuary! ||4||58||

ਮੋਹੁ ਮਲਿ ਬਿਵਸਿ ਕੀਅਉ ਕਾਮੁ ਗਹਿ ਕੇਸ ਪਛਾੜੵਉ ॥
मोहु मलि बिवसि कीअउ कामु गहि केस पछाड़्यउ ॥
Moh mal bivas kee▫a▫o kaam gėh kés pachʰaaṛ▫ya▫o.
He has crushed and overpowered emotional attachment. He seized sexual desire by the hair, and threw it down.

ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਖੰਡਿ ਪਰਚੰਡਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਸਿਉ ਝਾੜੵਉ ॥
क्रोधु खंडि परचंडि लोभु अपमान सिउ झाड़्यउ ॥
Kroḋʰ kʰand parchand lobʰ apmaan si▫o jʰaaṛ▫ya▫o.
With His Power, He cut anger into pieces, and sent greed away in disgrace.

ਜਨਮੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਜੋ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਮੰਨੈ ॥
जनमु कालु कर जोड़ि हुकमु जो होइ सु मंनै ॥
Janam kaal kar joṛ hukam jo ho▫é so mannæ.
Life and death, with palms pressed together, respect and obey the Hukam of His Command.

ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੰਧਿਅਉ ਸਿਖ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੈ ॥
भव सागरु बंधिअउ सिख तारे सुप्रसंनै ॥
Bʰav saagar banḋʰi▫a▫o sikʰ ṫaaré suparsannæ.
He brought the terrifying world-ocean under His Control; by His Pleasure, He carried His Sikhs across.

ਸਿਰਿ ਆਤਪਤੁ ਸਚੌ ਤਖਤੁ ਜੋਗ ਭੋਗ ਸੰਜੁਤੁ ਬਲਿ ॥
सिरि आतपतु सचौ तखतु जोग भोग संजुतु बलि ॥
Sir aaṫpaṫ sachou ṫakʰaṫ jog bʰog sanjuṫ bal.
He is seated upon the Throne of Truth, with the canopy above His Head; He is embellished with the powers of Yoga and the enjoyment of pleasures.

ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਚੁ ਸਲੵ ਭਣਿ ਤੂ ਅਟਲੁ ਰਾਜਿ ਅਭਗੁ ਦਲਿ ॥੧॥
गुर रामदास सचु सल्य भणि तू अटलु राजि अभगु दलि ॥१॥
Gur Raamḋaas sach sal▫y bʰaṇ ṫoo atal raaj abʰag ḋal. ||1||
So, says SALL the poet: O Guru Ram Das, Your sovereign power is eternal and unbreakable; Your army is invincible. ||1||

ਤੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗੀ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ॥
तू सतिगुरु चहु जुगी आपि आपे परमेसरु ॥
Ṫoo saṫgur chahu jugee aap aapé parmésar.
You are the True Guru, throughout the four ages; You Yourself are the Transcendent Lord.

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਿਖ ਸੇਵੰਤ ਧੁਰਹ ਧੁਰੁ ॥
सुरि नर साधिक सिध सिख सेवंत धुरह धुरु ॥
Sur nar saaḋʰik siḋʰ sikʰ sévanṫ ḋʰurah ḋʰur.
The angelic beings, seekers, Siddhas and Sikhs have served You, since the very beginning of time.

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕਲਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਲੋਅਹ ॥
आदि जुगादि अनादि कला धारी त्रिहु लोअह ॥
Aaḋ jugaaḋ anaaḋ kalaa ḋʰaaree ṫarihu lo▫ah.
You are the Primal Lord God, from the very beginning, and throughout the ages; Your Power supports the three worlds.

ਅਗਮ ਨਿਗਮ ਉਧਰਣ ਜਰਾ ਜੰਮਿਹਿ ਆਰੋਅਹ ॥
अगम निगम उधरण जरा जंमिहि आरोअह ॥
Agam nigam uḋʰraṇ jaraa jamihi aaro▫ah.
You are Inaccessible; You are the Saving Grace of the Vedas. You have conquered old age and death.

ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸਿ ਥਿਰੁ ਥਪਿਅਉ ਪਰਗਾਮੀ ਤਾਰਣ ਤਰਣ ॥
गुर अमरदासि थिरु थपिअउ परगामी तारण तरण ॥
Gur Amarḋaas ṫʰir ṫʰapi▫a▫o pargaamee ṫaaraṇ ṫaraṇ.
Guru Amar Das has permanently established You; You are the Emancipator, to carry all across to the other side.

ਅਘ ਅੰਤਕ ਬਦੈ ਨ ਸਲੵ ਕਵਿ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣ ॥੨॥੬੦॥
अघ अंतक बदै न सल्य कवि गुर रामदास तेरी सरण ॥२॥६०॥
Agʰ anṫak baḋæ na sal▫y kav gur Raamḋaas ṫéree saraṇ. ||2||60||
So, says SALL the poet: O Guru Ram Das, You are the Destroyer of sins; I seek Your Sanctuary. ||2||60||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸਿਮਰੰ ਸੋਈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਚਲੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
सिमरं सोई पुरखु अचलु अबिनासी ॥
Simaraⁿ so▫ee purakʰ achal abʰinaasee.
Meditate in remembrance of the Primal Lord God, Eternal and Imperishable.

ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਲੁ ਨਾਸੀ ॥
जिसु सिमरत दुरमति मलु नासी ॥
Jis simraṫ ḋurmaṫ mal naasee.
Remembering Him in meditation, the filth of evil-mindedness is eradicated.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥
सतिगुर चरण कवल रिदि धारं ॥
Saṫgur charaṇ kaval riḋ ḋʰaaraⁿ.
I enshrine the Lotus Feet of the True Guru within my heart.
