ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਇਉ ਮਾਂਨਈ ਹੋਇ ਗਈ ਭਠ ਛਾਰ ॥੧੯੫॥
बिनु संगति इउ मांनई होइ गई भठ छार ॥१९५॥
Bin sangaṯ i▫o māʼnn▫ī ho▫e ga▫ī bẖaṯẖ cẖẖār. ||195||
You must acknowledge this, that without the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, it turns into burnt ashes. ||195||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬੂੰਦ ਅਕਾਸ ਕੀ ਲੀਨੀ ਭੂਮਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
कबीर निरमल बूंद अकास की लीनी भूमि मिलाइ ॥
Kabīr nirmal būnḏ akās kī līnī bẖūm milā▫e.
Kabir! The pure drop of water falls from the sky, and mixes with the dust.

ਅਨਿਕ ਸਿਆਨੇ ਪਚਿ ਗਏ ਨਾ ਨਿਰਵਾਰੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੧੯੬॥
अनिक सिआने पचि गए ना निरवारी जाइ ॥१९६॥
Anik si▫āne pacẖ ga▫e nā nirvārī jā▫e. ||196||
Millions of clever people may try, but they will fail - it cannot be made separate again. ||196||

ਕਬੀਰ ਹਜ ਕਾਬੇ ਹਉ ਜਾਇ ਥਾ ਆਗੈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥
कबीर हज काबे हउ जाइ था आगै मिलिआ खुदाइ ॥
Kabīr haj kābe ha▫o jā▫e thā āgai mili▫ā kẖuḏā▫e.
Kabir! I was going on a pilgrimage to Mecca, and God met me on the way.

ਸਾਂਈ ਮੁਝ ਸਿਉ ਲਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ਤੁਝੈ ਕਿਨੑਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਈ ਗਾਇ ॥੧੯੭॥
सांई मुझ सिउ लरि परिआ तुझै किन्हि फुरमाई गाइ ॥१९७॥
Sāʼn▫ī mujẖ si▫o lar pari▫ā ṯujẖai kiniĥ furmā▫ī gā▫e. ||197||
He scolded me and asked, "Who told you that I am only there?" ||197||

ਕਬੀਰ ਹਜ ਕਾਬੈ ਹੋਇ ਹੋਇ ਗਇਆ ਕੇਤੀ ਬਾਰ ਕਬੀਰ ॥
कबीर हज काबै होइ होइ गइआ केती बार कबीर ॥
Kabīr haj kābai ho▫e ho▫e ga▫i▫ā keṯī bār Kabīr.
Kabir! I went to Mecca - how many times, Kabir?

ਸਾਂਈ ਮੁਝ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਖਤਾ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਨ ਬੋਲੈ ਪੀਰ ॥੧੯੮॥
सांई मुझ महि किआ खता मुखहु न बोलै पीर ॥१९८॥
Sāʼn▫ī mujẖ mėh ki▫ā kẖaṯā mukẖahu na bolai pīr. ||198||
O Lord, what is the problem with me? You have not spoken to me with Your Mouth. ||198||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਅ ਜੁ ਮਾਰਹਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਹਤੇ ਹਹਿ ਜੁ ਹਲਾਲੁ ॥
कबीर जीअ जु मारहि जोरु करि कहते हहि जु हलालु ॥
Kabīr jī▫a jo mārėh jor kar kahṯe hėh jo halāl.
Kabir! They oppress living beings and kill them, and call it proper.

ਦਫਤਰੁ ਦਈ ਜਬ ਕਾਢਿ ਹੈ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਕਉਨੁ ਹਵਾਲੁ ॥੧੯੯॥
दफतरु दई जब काढि है होइगा कउनु हवालु ॥१९९॥
Ḏafṯar ḏa▫ī jab kādẖ hai ho▫igā ka▫un havāl. ||199||
When the Lord calls for their account, what will their condition be? ||199||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੋਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਸੋ ਜੁਲਮੁ ਹੈ ਲੇਇ ਜਬਾਬੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥
कबीर जोरु कीआ सो जुलमु है लेइ जबाबु खुदाइ ॥
Kabīr jor kī▫ā so julam hai le▫e jabāb kẖuḏā▫e.
Kabir! It is tyranny to use force; the Lord shall call you to account.

ਦਫਤਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਨੀਕਸੈ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਹੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਖਾਇ ॥੨੦੦॥
दफतरि लेखा नीकसै मार मुहै मुहि खाइ ॥२००॥
Ḏafṯar lekẖā nīksai mār muhai muhi kẖā▫e. ||200||
When your account is called for, your face and mouth shall be beaten. ||200||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਨਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਉ ਦਿਲ ਸੂਚੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
कबीर लेखा देना सुहेला जउ दिल सूची होइ ॥
Kabīr lekẖā ḏenā suhelā ja▫o ḏil sūcẖī ho▫e.
Kabir! It is easy to render your account, if your heart is pure.

ਉਸੁ ਸਾਚੇ ਦੀਬਾਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਲਾ ਨ ਪਕਰੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੨੦੧॥
उसु साचे दीबान महि पला न पकरै कोइ ॥२०१॥
Us sācẖe ḏībān mėh palā na pakrai ko▫e. ||201||
In the True Court of the Lord, no one will seize you. ||201||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਰੁ ਆਕਾਸ ਮਹਿ ਦੁਇ ਤੂੰ ਬਰੀ ਅਬਧ ॥
कबीर धरती अरु आकास महि दुइ तूं बरी अबध ॥
Kabīr ḏẖarṯī ar ākās mėh ḏu▫e ṯūʼn barī abaḏẖ.
Kabir: O duality, you are mighty and powerful in the earth and the sky.

ਖਟ ਦਰਸਨ ਸੰਸੇ ਪਰੇ ਅਰੁ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਸਿਧ ॥੨੦੨॥
खट दरसन संसे परे अरु चउरासीह सिध ॥२०२॥
Kẖat ḏarsan sanse pare ar cẖa▫orāsīh siḏẖ. ||202||
The six Shastras and the eighty-four Siddhas are entrenched in skepticism. ||202||

ਕਬੀਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੁਝ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
कबीर मेरा मुझ महि किछु नही जो किछु है सो तेरा ॥
Kabīr merā mujẖ mėh kicẖẖ nahī jo kicẖẖ hai so ṯerā.
Kabir! Nothing is mine within myself. Whatever there is, is Yours, O Lord.

ਤੇਰਾ ਤੁਝ ਕਉ ਸਉਪਤੇ ਕਿਆ ਲਾਗੈ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੨੦੩॥
तेरा तुझ कउ सउपते किआ लागै मेरा ॥२०३॥
Ŧerā ṯujẖ ka▫o sa▫upaṯe ki▫ā lāgai merā. ||203||
If I surrender to You what is already Yours, what does it cost me? ||203||

ਕਬੀਰ ਤੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੂ ਹੂਆ ਮੁਝ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਾ ਨ ਹੂੰ ॥
कबीर तूं तूं करता तू हूआ मुझ महि रहा न हूं ॥
Kabīr ṯūʼn ṯūʼn karṯā ṯū hū▫ā mujẖ mėh rahā na hūʼn.
Kabir! Repeating, "You, You", I have become like You. Nothing of me remains in myself.

ਜਬ ਆਪਾ ਪਰ ਕਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਤਤ ਤੂ ॥੨੦੪॥
जब आपा पर का मिटि गइआ जत देखउ तत तू ॥२०४॥
Jab āpā par kā mit ga▫i▫ā jaṯ ḏekẖ▫a▫u ṯaṯ ṯū. ||204||
When the difference between myself and others is removed, then wherever I look, I see only You. ||204||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਬਿਕਾਰਹ ਚਿਤਵਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਆਸ ॥
कबीर बिकारह चितवते झूठे करते आस ॥
Kabīr bikārėh cẖiṯvaṯe jẖūṯẖe karṯe ās.
Kabir! Those who think of evil and entertain false hopes -

ਮਨੋਰਥੁ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਪੂਰਿਓ ਚਾਲੇ ਊਠਿ ਨਿਰਾਸ ॥੨੦੫॥
मनोरथु कोइ न पूरिओ चाले ऊठि निरास ॥२०५॥
Manorath ko▫e na pūri▫o cẖāle ūṯẖ nirās. ||205||
none of their desires shall be fulfilled; they shall depart in despair. ||205||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਜੋ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥
कबीर हरि का सिमरनु जो करै सो सुखीआ संसारि ॥
Kabīr har kā simran jo karai so sukẖī▫ā sansār.
Kabir! Whoever meditates in remembrance of the Lord, he alone is happy in this world.
|
ਇਤ ਉਤ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਡੋਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ॥੨੦੬॥
इत उत कतहि न डोलई जिस राखै सिरजनहार ॥२०६॥
Iṯ uṯ kaṯėh na dol▫ī jis rākẖai sirjanhār. ||206||
One who is protected and saved by the Creator Lord, shall never waver, here or hereafter. ||206||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਘਾਣੀ ਪੀੜਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਲੀਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥
कबीर घाणी पीड़ते सतिगुर लीए छडाइ ॥
Kabīr gẖāṇī pīṛ▫ṯe saṯgur lī▫e cẖẖadā▫e.
Kabir! I was being crushed like sesame seeds in the oil-press, but the True Guru saved me.

ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬਲੀ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਈ ਆਇ ॥੨੦੭॥
परा पूरबली भावनी परगटु होई आइ ॥२०७॥
Parā pūrablī bẖāvnī pargat ho▫ī ā▫e. ||207||
My preordained primal destiny has now been revealed. ||207||
|
ਕਬੀਰ ਟਾਲੈ ਟੋਲੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਗਇਆ ਬਿਆਜੁ ਬਢੰਤਉ ਜਾਇ ॥
कबीर टालै टोलै दिनु गइआ बिआजु बढंतउ जाइ ॥
Kabīr tālai tolai ḏin ga▫i▫ā bi▫āj badẖanṯa▫o jā▫e.
Kabir! My days have passed, and I have postponed my payments; the interest on my account continues to increase.

ਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਿਓ ਨ ਖਤੁ ਫਟਿਓ ਕਾਲੁ ਪਹੂੰਚੋ ਆਇ ॥੨੦੮॥
ना हरि भजिओ न खतु फटिओ कालु पहूंचो आइ ॥२०८॥
Nā har bẖaji▫o na kẖaṯ fati▫o kāl pahūʼncẖo ā▫e. ||208||
I have not meditated on the Lord and my account is still pending, and now, the moment of my death has come! ||208||

Fifth Mehl:

ਕਬੀਰ ਕੂਕਰੁ ਭਉਕਨਾ ਕਰੰਗ ਪਿਛੈ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਇ ॥
कबीर कूकरु भउकना करंग पिछै उठि धाइ ॥
Kabīr kūkar bẖa▫ukanā karang picẖẖai uṯẖ ḏẖā▫e.
Kabir! The mortal is a barking dog, chasing after a carcass.

ਕਰਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਉ ਲੀਆ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੨੦੯॥
करमी सतिगुरु पाइआ जिनि हउ लीआ छडाइ ॥२०९॥
Karmī saṯgur pā▫i▫ā jin ha▫o lī▫ā cẖẖadā▫e. ||209||
By the Grace of good karma, I have found the True Guru, who has saved me. ||209||

Fifth Mehl:

ਕਬੀਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਤਸਕਰ ਬੈਸਹਿ ਗਾਹਿ ॥
कबीर धरती साध की तसकर बैसहि गाहि ॥
Kabīr ḏẖarṯī sāḏẖ kī ṯaskar baisėh gāhi.
Kabir! The earth belongs to the Holy, but it is being occupied by thieves.

ਧਰਤੀ ਭਾਰਿ ਨ ਬਿਆਪਈ ਉਨ ਕਉ ਲਾਹੂ ਲਾਹਿ ॥੨੧੦॥
धरती भारि न बिआपई उन कउ लाहू लाहि ॥२१०॥
Ḏẖarṯī bẖār na bi▫āpa▫ī un ka▫o lāhū lāhi. ||210||
They are not a burden to the earth; they receive its blessings. ||210||

Fifth Mehl:

ਕਬੀਰ ਚਾਵਲ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਤੁਖ ਕਉ ਮੁਹਲੀ ਲਾਇ ॥
कबीर चावल कारने तुख कउ मुहली लाइ ॥
Kabīr cẖāval kārne ṯukẖ ka▫o muhlī lā▫e.
Kabir! The rice is beaten with a mallet to get rid of the husk.

ਸੰਗਿ ਕੁਸੰਗੀ ਬੈਸਤੇ ਤਬ ਪੂਛੈ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ॥੨੧੧॥
संगि कुसंगी बैसते तब पूछै धरम राइ ॥२११॥
Sang kusangī baisṯe ṯab pūcẖẖai ḏẖaram rā▫e. ||211||
When people sit in evil company, the Righteous Judge of Dharma calls them to account. ||211||
|
ਨਾਮਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਮੀਤ ॥
नामा माइआ मोहिआ कहै तिलोचनु मीत ॥
Nāmā mā▫i▫ā mohi▫ā kahai ṯilocẖan mīṯ.
Trilochan says, O Namdev, Maya has enticed you, my friend.
|
ਕਾਹੇ ਛੀਪਹੁ ਛਾਇਲੈ ਰਾਮ ਨ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਚੀਤੁ ॥੨੧੨॥
काहे छीपहु छाइलै राम न लावहु चीतु ॥२१२॥
Kāhe cẖẖīpahu cẖẖā▫ilai rām na lāvhu cẖīṯ. ||212||
Why are you printing designs on these sheets, and not focusing your consciousness on the Lord? ||212||
|
ਨਾਮਾ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਲੋਚਨਾ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਸੰਮੑਾਲਿ ॥
नामा कहै तिलोचना मुख ते रामु संम्हालि ॥
Nāmā kahai ṯilocẖanā mukẖ ṯe rām samĥāl.
Namdev answers, O Trilochan, chant the Lord’s Name with your mouth.
