ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੇ ਕੀਨਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
गुर सबदे कीना रिदै निवासु ॥३॥
Gur sabḏe kīnā riḏai nivās. ||3||
The Word of the Guru's Shabad has come to dwell within my heart. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
गुर समरथ सदा दइआल ॥
Gur samrath saḏā ḏa▫i▫āl.
The Guru is All-powerful and Merciful forever.

ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
हरि जपि जपि नानक भए निहाल ॥४॥११॥
Har jap jap Nānak bẖa▫e nihāl. ||4||11||
Chanting and meditating on the Lord, Nanak is exalted and enraptured. ||4||11||

ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
गुरु गुरु करत सदा सुखु पाइआ ॥
Gur gur karaṯ saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā.
Chanting Guru, Guru, I have found eternal peace.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਅਪਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਪਿ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दीन दइआल भए किरपाला अपणा नामु आपि जपाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl bẖa▫e kirpālā apṇā nām āp japā▫i▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
God, Merciful to the meek, has become kind and compassionate; He has inspired me to chant His Name. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ॥
संतसंगति मिलि भइआ प्रगास ॥
Sanṯsangaṯ mil bẖa▫i▫ā pargās.
Joining the Society of the Saints, I am illumined and enlightened.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
हरि हरि जपत पूरन भई आस ॥१॥
Har har japaṯ pūran bẖa▫ī ās. ||1||
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, my hopes have been fulfilled. ||1||
|
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਸੂਖ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
सरब कलिआण सूख मनि वूठे ॥
Sarab kali▫āṇ sūkẖ man vūṯẖe.
I am blessed with total salvation, and my mind is filled with peace.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੨॥੧੨॥
हरि गुण गाए गुर नानक तूठे ॥२॥१२॥
Har guṇ gā▫e gur Nānak ṯūṯẖe. ||2||12||
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; O Nanak, the Guru has been gracious to me. ||2||12||

Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਠਾਉ ॥
अवरु न दूजा ठाउ ॥
Avar na ḏūjā ṯẖā▫o.
There is no other place of rest,
|
ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
नाही बिनु हरि नाउ ॥
Nāhī bin har nā▫o.
none at all, without the Lord's Name.

ਸਰਬ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਲਿਆਨ ॥
सरब सिधि कलिआन ॥
Sarab siḏẖ kali▫ān.
There is total success and salvation,

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥
पूरन होहि सगल काम ॥१॥
Pūran hohi sagal kām. ||1||
and all affairs are perfectly resolved. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਨੀਤ ॥
हरि को नामु जपीऐ नीत ॥
Har ko nām japī▫ai nīṯ.
Constantly chant the Name of the Lord.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਲਗੈ ਏਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
काम क्रोध अहंकारु बिनसै लगै एकै प्रीति ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kām kroḏẖ ahaʼnkār binsai lagai ekai parīṯ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Sexuality, anger and egotism are wiped away; let yourself fall in love with the One Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਭਾਗੈ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਾਲਨ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
नामि लागै दूखु भागै सरनि पालन जोगु ॥
Nām lāgai ḏūkẖ bẖāgai saran pālan jog.
Attached to the Naam, the Name of the Lord, pain runs away. In His Sanctuary, He cherishes and sustains us.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਜਮੁ ਨ ਤੇਟੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥
सतिगुरु भेटै जमु न तेटै जिसु धुरि होवै संजोगु ॥२॥
Saṯgur bẖetai jam na ṯetai jis ḏẖur hovai sanjog. ||2||
Whoever has such pre-ordained destiny meets with the True Guru; the Messenger of Death cannot grab him. ||2||

ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਜਹੁ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ॥
रैनि दिनसु धिआइ हरि हरि तजहु मन के भरम ॥
Rain ḏinas ḏẖi▫ā▫e har har ṯajahu man ke bẖaram.
Night and day, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; abandon the doubts of your mind.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ॥੩॥
साधसंगति हरि मिलै जिसहि पूरन करम ॥३॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ har milai jisahi pūran karam. ||3||
One who has perfect karma joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and meets the Lord. ||3||
|
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਖਾਦ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਆਪਿ ॥
जनम जनम बिखाद बिनसे राखि लीने आपि ॥
Janam janam bikẖāḏ binse rākẖ līne āp.
The sins of countless lifetimes are erased, and one is protected by the Lord Himself.

ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੀਤ ਭਾਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩॥
मात पिता मीत भाई जन नानक हरि हरि जापि ॥४॥१॥१३॥
Māṯ piṯā mīṯ bẖā▫ī jan Nānak har har jāp. ||4||1||13||
He is our Mother, Father, Friend and Sibling; O servant Nanak, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||1||13||

कलि कलेस लोभ मोह बिनसि जाइ अहं ताप ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kal kales lobẖ moh binas jā▫e ahaʼn ṯāp. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Conflict, suffering, greed and emotional attachment shall be dispelled, and the fever of egotism shall be relieved. ||1||Pause||

ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਜਾਹਿ ਪਾਪ ॥੧॥
आपु तिआगि संत चरन लागि मनु पवितु जाहि पाप ॥१॥
Āp ṯi▫āg sanṯ cẖaran lāg man paviṯ jāhi pāp. ||1||
Renounce your selfishness, and grasp the feet of the Saints; your mind shall be sanctified, and your sins shall be taken away. ||1||
|
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਰਾਖਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੪॥
नानकु बारिकु कछू न जानै राखन कउ प्रभु माई बाप ॥२॥१॥१४॥
Nānak bārik kacẖẖū na jānai rākẖan ka▫o parabẖ mā▫ī bāp. ||2||1||14||
Nanak, the child, does not know anything at all. O God, please protect me; You are my Mother and Father. ||2||1||14||

I have taken the Shelter and Support of the Lord's Lotus Feet.

ਊਚ ਮੂਚ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੁਹੀ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ऊच मूच बेअंतु ठाकुरु सरब ऊपरि तुही एक ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ūcẖ mūcẖ be▫anṯ ṯẖākur sarab ūpar ṯuhī ek. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You are Lofty and Exalted, Grand and Infinite, O my Lord and Master; You alone are above all. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਦੁਖ ਬਿਦਾਰ ਦੈਨਹਾਰ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥੧॥
प्रान अधार दुख बिदार दैनहार बुधि बिबेक ॥१॥
Parān aḏẖār ḏukẖ biḏār ḏainhār buḏẖ bibek. ||1||
He is the Support of the breath of life, the Destroyer of pain, the Giver of discriminating understanding. ||1||
|
ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਰਖਨਹਾਰ ਮਨਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਕ ॥
नमसकार रखनहार मनि अराधि प्रभू मेक ॥
Namaskār rakẖaṇhār man arāḏẖ parabẖū mek.
So bow down in respect to the Savior Lord; worship and adore the One God.

ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨੁ ਕਰਉ ਮਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੫॥
संत रेनु करउ मजनु नानक पावै सुख अनेक ॥२॥२॥१५॥
Sanṯ ren kara▫o majan Nānak pāvai sukẖ anek. ||2||2||15||
Bathing in the dust of the feet of the Saints, Nanak is blessed with countless comforts. ||2||2||15||
