ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦ ਅਟਲਾ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ saḏā saḏ atlā.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is unchanging, forever and ever.

ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
Gur kī baṇī jis man vasai.
Whose minds are filled with the Word of the Guru's Bani,
|
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥
Ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ sabẖ ṯā kā nasai. ||1||
all pains and afflictions run away from him. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
Har rang rāṯā man rām gun gāvai.
Imbued with the Lord's Love, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਮੁਕਤੋੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰੀ ਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Mukṯo sāḏẖū ḏẖūrī nāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
They are liberated, bathing in the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥
Gur parsādī uṯre pār.
By Guru's Grace, they are carried across to the other shore;
|
ਭਉ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥
Bẖa▫o bẖaram binse bikār.
they are rid of fear, doubt and corruption.
|
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨਾ ॥
Man ṯan anṯar base gur cẖarnā.
The Guru's Feet abide deep within their minds and bodies.
|
ਨਿਰਭੈ ਸਾਧ ਪਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
Nirbẖai sāḏẖ pare har sarnā. ||2||
The Holy are fearless; they take to the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||2||
|
ਅਨਦ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
Anaḏ sahj ras sūkẖ gẖanere.
They are blessed with abundant bliss, happiness, pleasure and peace.
|
ਦੁਸਮਨੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨੇਰੇ ॥
Ḏusman ḏūkẖ na āvai nere.
Enemies and pains do not even approach them.
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
Gur pūrai apune kar rākẖe.
The Perfect Guru makes them His Own, and protects them.
|
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੩॥
Har nām japaṯ kilbikẖ sabẖ lāthe. ||3||
Chanting the Lord's Name, they are rid of all their sins. ||3||
|
ਸੰਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਿਖ ਭਏ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥
Sanṯ sājan sikẖ bẖa▫e suhele.
The Saints, spiritual companions and Sikhs are exalted and uplifted.
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲੈ ਮੇਲੇ ॥
Gur pūrai parabẖ si▫o lai mele.
The Perfect Guru leads them to meet God.
|
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਫਾਹਾ ਕਾਟਿਆ ॥
Janam maran ḏukẖ fāhā kāti▫ā.
The painful noose of death and rebirth is snapped.
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੜਦਾ ਢਾਕਿਆ ॥੪॥੮॥
Kaho Nānak gur paṛ▫ḏā dẖāki▫ā. ||4||8||
Says Nanak, the Guru covers their faults. ||4||8||

Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ॥
Saṯgur pūrai nām ḏī▫ā.
The Perfect True Guru has bestowed the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
|
ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਰਾਸਿ ਥੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Anaḏ mangal kali▫āṇ saḏā sukẖ kāraj saglā rās thī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am blessed with bliss and happiness, emancipation and eternal peace. All my affairs have been resolved. ||1||Pause||

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
Cẖaran kamal gur ke man vūṯẖe.
The Lotus Feet of the Guru abide within my mind.
|
ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਝੂਠੇ ॥੧॥
Ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ bẖaram binse jẖūṯẖe. ||1||
I am rid of pain, suffering, doubt and fraud. ||1||
|
ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Niṯ uṯẖ gāvhu parabẖ kī baṇī.
Rise early, and sing the Glorious Word of God's Bani.
|
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੨॥
Āṯẖ pahar har simrahu parāṇī. ||2||
Twenty-four hours a day, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, O mortal. ||2||
|
ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥
Gẖar bāhar parabẖ sabẖnī thā▫ī.
Inwardly and outwardly, God is everywhere.
|
ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਹ ਹਉ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
Sang sahā▫ī jah ha▫o jā▫ī. ||3||
Wherever I go, He is always with me, my Helper and Support. ||3||
|
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
Ḏu▫e kar joṛ karī arḏās.
With my palms pressed together, I offer this prayer.

ਸਦਾ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥੪॥੯॥
Saḏā jape Nānak guṇṯās. ||4||9||
O Nanak, I meditate forever on the Lord, the Treasure of Virtue. ||4||9||

ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehl:

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ॥
Pārbarahm parabẖ sugẖaṛ sujāṇ.
The Supreme Lord God is All-wise and All-knowing.
|
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਜਾਈਐ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur pūrā pā▫ī▫ai vadbẖāgī ḏarsan ka▫o jā▫ī▫ai kurbāṇ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Perfect Guru is found by great good fortune. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||1||Pause||

ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਮੇਟੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ॥
Kilbikẖ mete sabaḏ sanṯokẖ.
My sins are cut away, through the Word of the Shabad, and I have found contentment.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਹੋਆ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
Nām arāḏẖan ho▫ā jog.
I have become worthy of worshipping the Naam in adoration.
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਆ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Sāḏẖsang ho▫ā pargās.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have been enlightened.
|
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Cẖaran kamal man māhi nivās. ||1||
The Lord's Lotus Feet abide within my mind. ||1||
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਆ ਰਾਖਿ ॥
Jin kī▫ā ṯin lī▫ā rākẖ.
The One who made us, protects and preserves us.
|
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਅਨਾਥ ਕਾ ਨਾਥੁ ॥
Parabẖ pūrā anāth kā nāth.
God is Perfect, the Master of the masterless.
|
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
Jisahi nivāje kirpā ḏẖār.
Those, upon whom He showers His Mercy
|
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਆਚਾਰ ॥੨॥
Pūran karam ṯā ke ācẖār. ||2||
- they have perfect karma and conduct. ||2||
|
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਨਵੇ ॥
Guṇ gāvai niṯ niṯ niṯ nave.
They sing the Glories of God, continually, continuously, forever fresh and new.
|
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਭਵੇ ॥
Lakẖ cẖa▫orāsīh jon na bẖave.
They do not wander in the 8.4 million incarnations.
|
ਈਹਾਂ ਊਹਾਂ ਚਰਣ ਪੂਜਾਰੇ ॥
Īhāʼn ūhāʼn cẖaraṇ pūjāre.
Here and hereafter, they worship the Lord's Feet.
|
ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲੁ ਸਾਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Mukẖ ūjal sācẖe ḏarbāre. ||3||
Their faces are radiant, and they are honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3||
|
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਧਰਿਆ ਹਾਥੁ ॥
Jis masṯak gur ḏẖari▫ā hāth.
That person, upon whose forehead the Guru places His Hand
|
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਦਾਸੁ ॥
Kot maḏẖe ko virlā ḏās.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੇਖੈ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
Jal thal mahī▫al pekẖai bẖarpūr.
He sees God pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰਸਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੧੦॥
Nānak uḏẖras ṯis jan kī ḏẖūr. ||4||10||
Nanak is saved by the dust of the feet of such a humble being. ||4||10||

ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਅਪਨੇ ॥
Kurbāṇ jā▫ī gur pūre apne.
I am a sacrifice to my Perfect Guru.

ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jis parsāḏ har har jap japne. ||1|| rahā▫o.
By His Grace, I chant and meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
|
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Amriṯ baṇī suṇaṯ nihāl.
Listening to the Ambrosial Word of His Bani, I am exalted and enraptured.
|
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਏ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥੧॥
Binas ga▫e bikẖi▫ā janjāl. ||1||
My corrupt and poisonous entanglements are gone. ||1||
|
ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
Sācẖ sabaḏ si▫o lāgī parīṯ.
I am in love with the True Word of His Shabad.
|
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਚੀਤਿ ॥੨॥
Har parabẖ apunā ā▫i▫ā cẖīṯ. ||2||
The Lord God has come into my consciousness. ||2||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਹੋਆ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Nām japaṯ ho▫ā pargās.
Chanting the Naam, I am enlightened.
