ਮਹਾ ਅਭਾਗ ਅਭਾਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਪੀਜੈ
महा अभाग अभाग है जिन के तिन साधू धूरि न पीजै ॥
Mahā abẖāg abẖāg hai jin ke ṯin sāḏẖū ḏẖūr na pījai.
Those who have terrible luck and bad fortune do not drink in the water which washes the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਤਿਨਾ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਜਲਤ ਜਲਤ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਡੰਡੁ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਾ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੬॥
तिना तिसना जलत जलत नही बूझहि डंडु धरम राइ का दीजै ॥६॥
Ŧinā ṯisnā jalaṯ jalaṯ nahī būjẖėh dand ḏẖaram rā▫e kā ḏījai. ||6||
The burning fire of their desires is not extinguished; they are beaten and punished by the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||6||

ਸਭਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਬਰਤ ਜਗ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀਏ ਹਿਵੈ ਗਾਲਿ ਗਾਲਿ ਤਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ
सभि तीरथ बरत जग्य पुंन कीए हिवै गालि गालि तनु छीजै ॥
Sabẖ ṯirath baraṯ jag▫y punn kī▫e hivai gāl gāl ṯan cẖẖījai.
You may visit all the sacred shrines, observe fasts and sacred feasts, give generously in charity and waste away the body, melting it in the snow.

ਅਤੁਲਾ ਤੋਲੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕੋ ਪੁਜੈ ਤੋਲ ਤੁਲੀਜੈ ॥੭॥
अतुला तोलु राम नामु है गुरमति को पुजै न तोल तुलीजै ॥७॥
Aṯulā ṯol rām nām hai gurmaṯ ko pujai na ṯol ṯulījai. ||7||
The weight of the Lord's Name is unweighable, according to the Guru's Teachings; nothing can equal its weight. ||7||

ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਤੂ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੀਜੈ
तव गुन ब्रहम ब्रहम तू जानहि जन नानक सरनि परीजै ॥
Ŧav gun barahm barahm ṯū jānėh jan Nānak saran parījai.
O God, You alone know Your Glorious Virtues. Servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary.

ਤੂ ਜਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਮੀਨ ਹਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਖੀਜੈ ॥੮॥੩॥
तू जल निधि मीन हम तेरे करि किरपा संगि रखीजै ॥८॥३॥
Ŧū jal niḏẖ mīn ham ṯere kar kirpā sang rakẖījai. ||8||3||
You are the Ocean of water, and I am Your fish. Please be kind, and keep me always with You. ||8||3||

ਕਲਿਆਨ ਮਹਲਾ
कलिआन महला ४ ॥
Kali▫ān mėhlā 4.
Kalyaan, Fourth Mehl:

ਰਾਮਾ ਰਮ ਰਾਮੋ ਪੂਜ ਕਰੀਜੈ
रामा रम रामो पूज करीजै ॥
Rāmā ram rāmo pūj karījai.
I worship and adore the Lord, the All-pervading Lord.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰਉ ਸਭੁ ਆਗੈ ਰਸੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
मनु तनु अरपि धरउ सभु आगै रसु गुरमति गिआनु द्रिड़ीजै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Man ṯan arap ḏẖara▫o sabẖ āgai ras gurmaṯ gi▫ān ḏariṛījai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I surrender my mind and body, and place everything before Him; following the Guru's Teachings, spiritual wisdom is implanted within me. ||1||Pause||

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਖ ਤਰੋਵਰ ਨਿਤ ਚੁਨਿ ਚੁਨਿ ਪੂਜ ਕਰੀਜੈ
ब्रहम नाम गुण साख तरोवर नित चुनि चुनि पूज करीजै ॥
Barahm nām guṇ sākẖ ṯarovar niṯ cẖun cẖun pūj karījai.
God's Name is the tree, and His Glorious Virtues are the branches. Picking and gathering up the fruit, I worship Him.

ਆਤਮ ਦੇਉ ਦੇਉ ਹੈ ਆਤਮੁ ਰਸਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਪੂਜ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੧॥
आतम देउ देउ है आतमु रसि लागै पूज करीजै ॥१॥
Āṯam ḏe▫o ḏe▫o hai āṯam ras lāgai pūj karījai. ||1||
The soul is divine; divine is the soul. Worship Him with love. ||1||

ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਿਚਰਿ ਬਿਚਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ
बिबेक बुधि सभ जग महि निरमल बिचरि बिचरि रसु पीजै ॥
Bibek buḏẖ sabẖ jag mėh nirmal bicẖar bicẖar ras pījai.
One of keen intellect and precise understanding is immaculate in all this world. In thoughtful consideration, he drinks in the sublime essence.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
गुर परसादि पदारथु पाइआ सतिगुर कउ इहु मनु दीजै ॥२॥
Gur parsāḏ paḏārath pā▫i▫ā saṯgur ka▫o ih man ḏījai. ||2||
By Guru's Grace, the treasure is found; dedicate this mind to the True Guru. ||2||

ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਅਤਿ ਹੀਰੋ ਨੀਕੋ ਹੀਰੈ ਹੀਰੁ ਬਿਧੀਜੈ
निरमोलकु अति हीरो नीको हीरै हीरु बिधीजै ॥
Nirmolak aṯ hīro nīko hīrai hīr biḏẖījai.
Priceless and utterly sublime is the Diamond of the Lord. This Diamond pierces the diamond of the mind.

ਮਨੁ ਮੋਤੀ ਸਾਲੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਪਰਖਿ ਲਈਜੈ ॥੩॥
मनु मोती सालु है गुर सबदी जितु हीरा परखि लईजै ॥३॥
Man moṯī sāl hai gur sabḏī jiṯ hīrā parakẖ la▫ījai. ||3||
The mind becomes the jeweler, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad; it appraises the Diamond of the Lord. ||3||

ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਗਿ ਊਚੇ ਜਿਉ ਪੀਪ ਪਲਾਸ ਖਾਇ ਲੀਜੈ
संगति संत संगि लगि ऊचे जिउ पीप पलास खाइ लीजै ॥
Sangaṯ sanṯ sang lag ūcẖe ji▫o pīp palās kẖā▫e lījai.
Attaching oneself to the Society of the Saints, one is exalted and uplifted, as the palaas tree is absorbed by the peepal tree.

ਸਭ ਨਰ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਊਤਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੈ ਬਾਸੁ ਬਸੀਜੈ ॥੪॥
सभ नर महि प्रानी ऊतमु होवै राम नामै बासु बसीजै ॥४॥
Sabẖ nar mėh parānī ūṯam hovai rām nāmai bās basījai. ||4||
That mortal being is supreme among all people, who is perfumed by the fragrance of the Lord's Name. ||4||

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਮ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਨੇ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਖਾ ਹਰੀ ਜੜੀਜੈ
निरमल निरमल करम बहु कीने नित साखा हरी जड़ीजै ॥
Nirmal nirmal karam baho kīne niṯ sākẖā harī jaṛījai.
One who continually acts in goodness and immaculate purity, sprouts green branches in great abundance.

ਧਰਮੁ ਫੁਲੁ ਫਲੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਬਹਕਾਰ ਬਾਸੁ ਜਗਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੫॥
धरमु फुलु फलु गुरि गिआनु द्रिड़ाइआ बहकार बासु जगि दीजै ॥५॥
Ḏẖaram ful fal gur gi▫ān driṛ▫ā▫i▫ā bėhkār bās jag ḏījai. ||5||
The Guru has taught me that Dharmic faith is the flower, and spiritual wisdom is the fruit; this fragrance permeates the world. ||5||

ਏਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਏਕੋ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਭ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਇਕੁ ਕੀਜੈ
एक जोति एको मनि वसिआ सभ ब्रहम द्रिसटि इकु कीजै ॥
Ėk joṯ eko man vasi▫ā sabẖ barahm ḏarisat ik kījai.
The One, the Light of the One, abides within my mind; God, the One, is seen in all.

ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਸਭ ਏਕੈ ਹੈ ਪਸਰੇ ਸਭ ਚਰਨ ਤਲੇ ਸਿਰੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੬॥
आतम रामु सभ एकै है पसरे सभ चरन तले सिरु दीजै ॥६॥
Āṯam rām sabẖ ekai hai pasre sabẖ cẖaran ṯale sir ḏījai. ||6||
The One Lord, the Supreme Soul, is spread out everywhere; all place their heads beneath His Feet. ||6||

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਕਟੇ ਨਰ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਤਿਨ ਘਸਿ ਘਸਿ ਨਾਕ ਵਢੀਜੈ
नाम बिना नकटे नर देखहु तिन घसि घसि नाक वढीजै ॥
Nām binā nakte nar ḏekẖhu ṯin gẖas gẖas nāk vadẖījai.
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, people look like criminals with their noses cut off; bit by bit, their noses are cut off.

ਸਾਕਤ ਨਰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵੀਜੈ ॥੭॥
साकत नर अहंकारी कहीअहि बिनु नावै ध्रिगु जीवीजै ॥७॥
Sākaṯ nar ahaʼnkārī kahī▫ahi bin nāvai ḏẖarig jīvījai. ||7||
The faithless cynics are called egotistical; without the Name, their lives are cursed. ||7||

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਸਾਸੁ ਸਾਸੁ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੇਗਲ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੀਜੈ
जब लगु सासु सासु मन अंतरि ततु बेगल सरनि परीजै ॥
Jab lag sās sās man anṯar ṯaṯ begal saran parījai.
As long as the breath breathes through the mind deep within, hurry and seek God's Sanctuary.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਮੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਚਰਨ ਪਖੀਜੈ ॥੮॥੪॥
नानक क्रिपा क्रिपा करि धारहु मै साधू चरन पखीजै ॥८॥४॥
Nānak kirpā kirpā kar ḏẖārahu mai sāḏẖū cẖaran pakẖījai. ||8||4||
Please shower Your Kind Mercy and take pity upon Nanak, that he may wash the feet of the Holy. ||8||4||

ਕਲਿਆਨ ਮਹਲਾ
कलिआन महला ४ ॥
Kali▫ān mėhlā 4.
Kalyaan, Fourth Mehl:

ਰਾਮਾ ਮੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਚਰਨ ਧੁਵੀਜੈ
रामा मै साधू चरन धुवीजै ॥
Rāmā mai sāḏẖū cẖaran ḏẖuvījai.
O Lord, I wash the feet of the Holy.

ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਦਹਨ ਹੋਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
किलबिख दहन होहि खिन अंतरि मेरे ठाकुर किरपा कीजै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kilbikẖ ḏahan hohi kẖin anṯar mere ṯẖākur kirpā kījai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
May my sins be burnt away in an instant; O my Lord and Master, please bless me with Your Mercy. ||1||Pause||

ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਦੀਨ ਖਰੇ ਦਰਿ ਠਾਢੇ ਅਤਿ ਤਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ
मंगत जन दीन खरे दरि ठाढे अति तरसन कउ दानु दीजै ॥
Mangaṯ jan ḏīn kẖare ḏar ṯẖādẖe aṯ ṯarsan ka▫o ḏān ḏījai.
The meek and humble beggars stand begging at Your Door. Please be generous and give to those who are yearning.

ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਏ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੀਜੈ ॥੧॥
त्राहि त्राहि सरनि प्रभ आए मो कउ गुरमति नामु द्रिड़ीजै ॥१॥
Ŧarāhi ṯarāhi saran parabẖ ā▫e mo ka▫o gurmaṯ nām ḏariṛījai. ||1||
Save me, save me, O God - I have come to Your Sanctuary. Please implant the Guru's Teachings, and the Naam within me. ||1||

ਕਾਮ ਕਰੋਧੁ ਨਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਸਬਲਾ ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਉਠਿ ਜੂਝੁ ਕਰੀਜੈ
काम करोधु नगर महि सबला नित उठि उठि जूझु करीजै ॥
Kām karoḏẖ nagar mėh sablā niṯ uṯẖ uṯẖ jūjẖ karījai.
Sexual desire and anger are very powerful in the body-village; I rise up to fight the battle against them.

ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਵਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਾਢਿ ਕਢੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
अंगीकारु करहु रखि लेवहु गुर पूरा काढि कढीजै ॥२॥
Angīkār karahu rakẖ levhu gur pūrā kādẖ kadẖījai. ||2||
Please make me Your Own and save me; through the Perfect Guru, I drive them out. ||2||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਬਲ ਅਤਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਹਿਵ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਗੁਰ ਦੀਜੈ
अंतरि अगनि सबल अति बिखिआ हिव सीतलु सबदु गुर दीजै ॥
Anṯar agan sabal aṯ bikẖi▫ā hiv sīṯal sabaḏ gur ḏījai.
The powerful fire of corruption is raging violently within; the Word of the Guru's Shabad is the ice water which cools and soothes.
