ਜਾ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਇਆ ਕਰੇਹੀ ॥੨॥
Jā ka▫o saṯgur ma▫i▫ā karehī. ||2||
when the True Guru shows His Kindness. ||2||
|
ਅਗਿਆਨ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਦੁਖ ਡੇਰਾ ॥
Agi▫ān bẖaram binsai ḏukẖ derā.
The house of ignorance, doubt and pain is destroyed,
|
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਪੈਰਾ ॥੩॥
Jā kai hirḏai basėh gur pairā. ||3||
for those within whose hearts the Guru's Feet abide. ||3||
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
Sāḏẖsang rang parabẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
In the Saadh Sangat, lovingly meditate on God.
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥
Kaho Nānak ṯin pūrā pā▫i▫ā. ||4||4||
Says Nanak, you shall obtain the Perfect Lord. ||4||4||

Kaanraa, Fifth Mehl:
|
ਭਗਤਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਹੂੰ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
Bẖagaṯ bẖagṯan hūʼn ban ā▫ī.
Devotion is the natural quality of God's devotees.
|
ਤਨ ਮਨ ਗਲਤ ਭਏ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਆਪਨ ਲੀਏ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ŧan man galaṯ bẖa▫e ṯẖākur si▫o āpan lī▫e milā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Their bodies and minds are blended with their Lord and Master; He unites them with Himself. ||1||Pause||
|
ਗਾਵਨਹਾਰੀ ਗਾਵੈ ਗੀਤ ॥
Gāvanhārī gāvai gīṯ.
The singer sings the songs,
|
ਤੇ ਉਧਰੇ ਬਸੇ ਜਿਹ ਚੀਤ ॥੧॥
Ŧe uḏẖre base jih cẖīṯ. ||1||
but she alone is saved, within whose consciousness the Lord abides. ||1||
|
ਪੇਖੇ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਪਰੋਸਨਹਾਰੈ ॥
Pekẖe binjan parosanhārai.
The one who sets the table sees the food,
|
ਜਿਹ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਰੈ ॥੨॥
Jih bẖojan kīno ṯe ṯaripṯārai. ||2||
but only one who eats the food is satisfied. ||2||
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਗ ਕਾਛੇ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ॥
Anik savāʼng kācẖẖe bẖekẖ▫ḏẖārī.
People disguise themselves with all sorts of costumes,
|
ਜੈਸੋ ਸਾ ਤੈਸੋ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
Jaiso sā ṯaiso ḏaristārī. ||3||
but in the end, they are seen as they truly are. ||3||
|
ਕਹਨ ਕਹਾਵਨ ਸਗਲ ਜੰਜਾਰ ॥
Kahan kahāvan sagal janjār.
Speaking and talking are all just entanglements.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰ ॥੪॥੫॥
Nānak ḏās sacẖ karṇī sār. ||4||5||
O slave Nanak, the true way of life is excellent. ||4||5||

ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਤ ਉਮਾਹਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ŧero jan har jas sunaṯ umāhi▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Your humble servant listens to Your Praises with delight. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਆਹਿਓ ॥੧॥
Manėh pargās pekẖ parabẖ kī sobẖā jaṯ kaṯ pekẖa▫o āhi▫o. ||1||
My mind is enlightened, gazing upon the Glory of God. Wherever I look, there He is. ||1||
|
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਪਰੈ ਪਰੈ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਥਾਹਿਓ ॥੨॥
Sabẖ ṯe parai parai ṯe ūcẖā gahir gambẖīr athāhi▫o. ||2||
You are the farthest of all, the highest of the far, profound, unfathomable and unreachable. ||2||
|
ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਉ ਜਨ ਸਿਉ ਪਰਦਾ ਲਾਹਿਓ ॥੩॥
Oṯ poṯ mili▫o bẖagṯan ka▫o jan si▫o parḏā lāhi▫o. ||3||
You are united with Your devotees, through and through; You have removed Your veil for Your humble servants. ||3||
|
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਗਾਵੈ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਸਮਾਹਿਓ ॥੪॥੬॥
Gur parsāḏ gāvai guṇ Nānak sahj samāḏẖ samāhi▫o. ||4||6||
By Guru's Grace, Nanak sings Your Glorious Praises; he is intuitively absorbed in Samaadhi. ||4||6||

ਕਾਨੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Kaanraa, Fifth Mehl:

ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਆਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sanṯan pėh āp uḏẖāran ā▫i▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I have come to the Saints to save myself. ||1||Pause||
|
ਦਰਸਨ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
Ḏarsan bẖetaṯ hoṯ punīṯā har har manṯar ḏariṛ▫ā▫i▫o. ||1||
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, I am sanctified; they have implanted the Mantra of the Lord, Har, Har, within me. ||1||
|
ਕਾਟੇ ਰੋਗ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਖਾਇਓ ॥੨॥
Kāte rog bẖa▫e man nirmal har har a▫ukẖaḏẖ kẖā▫i▫o. ||2||
The disease has been eradicated, and my mind has become immaculate. I have taken the healing medicine of the Lord, Har, Har. ||2||

ਅਸਥਿਤ ਭਏ ਬਸੇ ਸੁਖ ਥਾਨਾ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਇਓ ॥੩॥
Asthiṯ bẖa▫e base sukẖ thānā bahur na kaṯhū ḏẖā▫i▫o. ||3||
I have become steady and stable, and I dwell in the home of peace. I shall never again wander anywhere. ||3||
|
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਲੋਗਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਪਤ ਨ ਮਾਇਓ ॥੪॥੭॥
Sanṯ parsāḏ ṯare kul logā Nānak lipaṯ na mā▫i▫o. ||4||7||
By the Grace of the Saints, the people and all their generations are saved; O Nanak, they are not engrossed in Maya. ||4||7||

ਕਾਨੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Kaanraa, Fifth Mehl:
|
ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਤਾਤਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥
Bisar ga▫ī sabẖ ṯāṯ parā▫ī.
I have totally forgotten my jealousy of others,
|
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jab ṯe sāḏẖsangaṯ mohi pā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
since I found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
|
ਨਾ ਕੋ ਬੈਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਮ ਕਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੧॥
Nā ko bairī nahī bigānā sagal sang ham ka▫o ban ā▫ī. ||1||
No one is my enemy, and no one is a stranger. I get along with everyone. ||1||
|
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਨੋ ਸੋ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਿਓ ਏਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
Jo parabẖ kīno so bẖal māni▫o eh sumaṯ sāḏẖū ṯe pā▫ī. ||2||
Whatever God does, I accept that as good. This is the sublime wisdom I have obtained from the Holy. ||2||

ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੈ ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਗਸਾਈ ॥੩॥੮॥
Sabẖ mėh rav rahi▫ā parabẖ ekai pekẖ pekẖ Nānak bigsā▫ī. ||3||8||
The One God is pervading in all. Gazing upon Him, beholding Him, Nanak blossoms forth in happiness. ||3||8||

ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਪਰਨਾ ॥
Ŧẖākur jī▫o ṯuhāro parnā.
O my Dear Lord and Master, You alone are my Support.
|
ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੈ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਓਟ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Mān mahaṯ ṯumĥārai ūpar ṯumĥrī ot ṯumĥārī sarnā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You are my Honor and Glory; I seek Your Support, and Your Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਆਸ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰਾ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਲੈ ਧਰਨਾ ॥
Ŧumĥrī ās bẖarosā ṯumĥrā ṯumrā nām riḏai lai ḏẖarnā.
You are my Hope, and You are my Faith. I take Your Name and enshrine it within my heart.

ਤੁਮਰੋ ਬਲੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
Ŧumro bal ṯum sang suhele jo jo kahhu so▫ī so▫ī karnā. ||1||
You are my Power; associating with You, I am embellished and exalted. I do whatever You say. ||1||
|
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਤ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਨਾ ॥
Ŧumrī ḏa▫i▫ā ma▫i▫ā sukẖ pāva▫o hohu kirpāl ṯa bẖa▫ojal ṯarnā.
Through Your Kindness and Compassion, I find peace; when You are Merciful, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਿਰੁ ਡਾਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨਾ ॥੨॥੯॥
Abẖai ḏān nām har pā▫i▫o sir ḏāri▫o Nānak sanṯ cẖarnā. ||2||9||
Through the Name of the Lord, I obtain the gift of fearlessness; Nanak places his head on the feet of the Saints. ||2||9||
