ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਵਡ ਊਚੇ ਸੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੀਸ ॥
हरि तुम वड वडे वडे वड ऊचे सो करहि जि तुधु भावीस ॥
Har ṯum vad vade vade vad ūcẖe so karahi jė ṯuḏẖ bẖāvīs.
O Lord, You are the Greatest of the Great, the Greatest of the Great, the most Lofty and High. You do whatever You please.

Jan Nānak amriṯ pī▫ā gurmaṯī ḏẖan ḏẖan ḏẖan ḏẖan ḏẖan gurū sābīs. ||2||2||8||
Servant Nanak drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar through the Guru's Teachings. Blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed and praised is the Guru. ||2||2||8||

ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮੋ ਮਨਿ ਰਾਮ ॥
भजु रामो मनि राम ॥
Bẖaj rāmo man rām.
O mind, meditate and vibrate on the Lord, Raam, Raam.

ਜਿਸੁ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਵਡਾਮ ॥
जिसु रूप न रेख वडाम ॥
Jis rūp na rekẖ vadām.
He has no form or feature - He is Great!
|
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ॥
सतसंगति मिलु भजु राम ॥
Saṯsangaṯ mil bẖaj rām.
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, vibrate and meditate on the Lord.

ਬਡ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਭਾਗ ਮਥਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
बड हो हो भाग मथाम ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bad ho ho bẖāg mathām. ||1|| rahā▫o.
This is the high destiny written on your forehead. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਤੁ ਜਾਸੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਨਦੋ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥
जितु ग्रिहि मंदरि हरि होतु जासु तितु घरि आनदो आनंदु भजु राम राम राम ॥
Jiṯ garihi manḏar har hoṯ jās ṯiṯ gẖar ānḏo ānanḏ bẖaj rām rām rām.
That household, that mansion, in which the Lord's Praises are sung - that home is filled with ecstasy and joy; so vibrate and meditate on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰੇ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
राम नाम गुन गावहु हरि प्रीतम उपदेसि गुरू गुर सतिगुरा सुखु होतु हरि हरे हरि हरे हरे भजु राम राम राम ॥१॥
Rām nām gun gāvhu har parīṯam upḏes gurū gur saṯigurā sukẖ hoṯ har hare har hare hare bẖaj rām rām rām. ||1||
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Name of the Lord, the Beloved Lord. Through the Teachings of the Guru, the Guru, the True Guru, you shall find peace. So vibrate and meditate on the Lord, Har, Haray, Har, Haray, Haray, the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam. ||1||

ਸਭ ਸਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥
सभ सिसटि धार हरि तुम किरपाल करता सभु तू तू तू राम राम राम ॥
Sabẖ sisat ḏẖār har ṯum kirpāl karṯā sabẖ ṯū ṯū ṯū rām rām rām.
You are the Support of the whole universe, Lord; O Merciful Lord, You, You, You are the Creator of all, Raam, Raam, Raam.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੋ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥੩॥੯॥
जन नानको सरणागती देहु गुरमती भजु राम राम राम ॥२॥३॥९॥
Jan nānko sarṇāgaṯī ḏeh gurmaṯī bẖaj rām rām rām. ||2||3||9||
Servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary; please bless him with the Guru's Teachings, that he may vibrate and meditate on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam. ||2||3||9||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਾਟਉ ਪਗ ਚਾਟ ॥
सतिगुर चाटउ पग चाट ॥
Saṯgur cẖāta▫o pag cẖāt.
I eagerly kiss the Feet of the True Guru.

ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਧਰ ਬਾਟ ॥
जितु मिलि हरि पाधर बाट ॥
Jiṯ mil har pāḏẖar bāt.
Meeting Him, the Path to the Lord becomes smooth and easy.
|
ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰਸ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਟ ॥
भजु हरि रसु रस हरि गाट ॥
Bẖaj har ras ras har gāt.
I lovingly vibrate and meditate on the Lord, and gulp down His Sublime Essence.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਲਿਖੇ ਲਿਲਾਟ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि हो हो लिखे लिलाट ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har ho ho likẖe lilāt. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Lord has written this destiny on my forehead. ||1||Pause||

ਖਟ ਕਰਮ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਜੋਗੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਜਟ ਜਟਾ ਜਟ ਜਾਟ ॥
खट करम किरिआ करि बहु बहु बिसथार सिध साधिक जोगीआ करि जट जटा जट जाट ॥
Kẖat karam kiri▫ā kar baho baho bisthār siḏẖ sāḏẖik jogī▫ā kar jat jatā jat jāt.
Some perform the six rituals and rites; the Siddhas, seekers and Yogis put on all sorts of pompous shows, with their hair all tangled and matted.

ਕਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਖੋਲਿ ਖੋਲਿ ਕਪਾਟ ॥੧॥
करि भेख न पाईऐ हरि ब्रहम जोगु हरि पाईऐ सतसंगती उपदेसि गुरू गुर संत जना खोलि खोलि कपाट ॥१॥
Kar bẖekẖ na pā▫ī▫ai har barahm jog har pā▫ī▫ai saṯsangṯī upḏes gurū gur sanṯ janā kẖol kẖol kapāt. ||1||
Yoga - Union with the Lord God - is not obtained by wearing religious robes; the Lord is found in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and the Guru's Teachings. The humble Saints throw the doors wide open. ||1||

ਤੂ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਹੁ ਤੂ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਲ ਥਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਥਾਟ ॥
तू अपर्मपरु सुआमी अति अगाहु तू भरपुरि रहिआ जल थले हरि इकु इको इक एकै हरि थाट ॥
Ŧū aprampar su▫āmī aṯ agāhu ṯū bẖarpur rahi▫ā jal thale har ik iko ik ekai har thāt.
O my Lord and Master, You are the farthest of the far, utterly unfathomable. You are totally pervading the water and the land. You alone are the One and Only Unique Lord of all creation.

ਤੂ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਟ ॥੨॥੪॥੧੦॥
तू जाणहि सभ बिधि बूझहि आपे जन नानक के प्रभ घटि घटे घटि घटे घटि हरि घाट ॥२॥४॥१०॥
Ŧū jāṇėh sabẖ biḏẖ būjẖėh āpe jan Nānak ke parabẖ gẖat gẖate gẖat gẖate gẖat har gẖāt. ||2||4||10||
You alone know all Your ways and means. You alone understand Yourself. Servant Nanak's Lord God is in each heart, in every heart, in the home of each and every heart. ||2||4||10||

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਮਾਧੋ ॥
जपि मन गोबिद माधो ॥
Jap man gobiḏ māḏẖo.
O mind, chant and meditate on the Lord, the Lord of the Universe.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧੋ ॥
हरि हरि अगम अगाधो ॥
Har har agam agāḏẖo.
The Lord, Har, Har, is inaccessible and unfathomable.
|
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਾਧੋ ॥
मति गुरमति हरि प्रभु लाधो ॥
Maṯ gurmaṯ har parabẖ lāḏẖo.
Through the Guru's Teachings, my intellect attains the Lord God.

ਧੁਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਲਿਖੇ ਲਿਲਾਧੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
धुरि हो हो लिखे लिलाधो ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏẖur ho ho likẖe lilāḏẖo. ||1|| rahā▫o.
This is the pre-ordained destiny written on my forehead. ||1||Pause||

ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਚਿ ਬਹੁ ਚਿਤੈ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੋ ॥
बिखु माइआ संचि बहु चितै बिकार सुखु पाईऐ हरि भजु संत संत संगती मिलि सतिगुरू गुरु साधो ॥
Bikẖ mā▫i▫ā sancẖ baho cẖiṯai bikār sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai har bẖaj sanṯ sanṯ sangṯī mil saṯgurū gur sāḏẖo.
Collecting the poison of Maya, people think of all sorts of evil. But peace is found only by vibrating and meditating on the Lord; with the Saints, in the Sangat, the Society of the Saints, meet the True Guru, the Holy Guru.

ਜਿਉ ਛੁਹਿ ਪਾਰਸ ਮਨੂਰ ਭਏ ਕੰਚਨ ਤਿਉ ਪਤਿਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹੋਵਤ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹਾਧੋ ॥੧॥
जिउ छुहि पारस मनूर भए कंचन तिउ पतित जन मिलि संगती सुध होवत गुरमती सुध हाधो ॥१॥
Ji▫o cẖẖuhi pāras manūr bẖa▫e kancẖan ṯi▫o paṯiṯ jan mil sangṯī suḏẖ hovaṯ gurmaṯī suḏẖ hāḏẖo. ||1||
Just as when the iron slag is transmuted into gold by touching the Philosopher's Stone - when the sinner joins the Sangat, he becomes pure, through the Guru's Teachings. ||1||
|
ਜਿਉ ਕਾਸਟ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੋਹਾ ਬਹੁ ਤਰਤਾ ਤਿਉ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਧ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੋ ॥
जिउ कासट संगि लोहा बहु तरता तिउ पापी संगि तरे साध साध संगती गुर सतिगुरू गुर साधो ॥
Ji▫o kāsat sang lohā baho ṯarṯā ṯi▫o pāpī sang ṯare sāḏẖ sāḏẖ sangṯī gur saṯgurū gur sāḏẖo.
Just like the heavy iron which is carried across on the wooden raft, sinners are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and the Guru, the True Guru, the Holy Guru.

ਚਾਰਿ ਬਰਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਕੁਲ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਾਧੋ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥
चारि बरन चारि आस्रम है कोई मिलै गुरू गुर नानक सो आपि तरै कुल सगल तराधो ॥२॥५॥११॥
Cẖār baran cẖār āsram hai ko▫ī milai gurū gur Nānak so āp ṯarai kul sagal ṯarāḏẖo. ||2||5||11||
There are four castes, four social classes, and four stages of life. Whoever meets the Guru, Guru Nanak, is himself carried across, and he carries all his ancestors and generations across as well. ||2||5||11||

Sing the Praises of the Lord God.

ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਾਨ ॥
जसु गावत पाप लहान ॥
Jas gāvaṯ pāp lahān.
Singing His Praises, sins are washed away.
|
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨ ॥
मति गुरमति सुनि जसु कान ॥
Maṯ gurmaṯ sun jas kān.
Through the Word of the Guru's Teachings, listen to His Praises with your ears.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕਿਰਪਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि हो हो किरपान ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har ho ho kirpān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Lord shall be Merciful to you. ||1||Pause||
