ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਚੇਰੀ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਸੋਭ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਰਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
इसत्री रूप चेरी की निआई सोभ नही बिनु भरतारे ॥१॥
Isṯarī rūp cẖerī kī ni▫ā▫ī sobẖ nahī bin bẖarṯāre. ||1||
I am Your beautiful bride, Your servant and slave. I have no nobility without my Husband Lord. ||1||

ਬਿਨਉ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਜਬ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮੇਰੈ ਬੇਗਿ ਆਇਓ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
बिनउ सुनिओ जब ठाकुर मेरै बेगि आइओ किरपा धारे ॥
Bin▫o suni▫o jab ṯẖākur merai beg ā▫i▫o kirpā ḏẖāre.
When my Lord and Master listened to my prayer, He hurried to shower me with His Mercy.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੋ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਹਾਗੋ ਪਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਭਲੇ ਅਚਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੭॥
कहु नानक मेरो बनिओ सुहागो पति सोभा भले अचारे ॥२॥३॥७॥
Kaho Nānak mero bani▫o suhāgo paṯ sobẖā bẖale acẖāre. ||2||3||7||
Says Nanak, I have become just like my Husband Lord; I am blessed with honor, nobility and the lifestyle of goodness. ||2||3||7||

ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
प्रीतम साचा नामु धिआइ ॥
Parīṯam sācẖā nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
Meditate on the True Name of your Beloved.

ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दूख दरद बिनसै भव सागरु गुर की मूरति रिदै बसाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ binsai bẖav sāgar gur kī mūraṯ riḏai basā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The pains and sorrows of the terrifying world-ocean are dispelled, by enshrining the Image of the Guru within your heart. ||1||Pause||

ਦੁਸਮਨ ਹਤੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਸਭਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਆਇਆ ॥
दुसमन हते दोखी सभि विआपे हरि सरणाई आइआ ॥
Ḏusman haṯe ḏokẖī sabẖ vi▫āpe har sarṇā▫ī ā▫i▫ā.
Your enemies shall be destroyed, and all the evil-doers shall perish, when you come to the Sanctuary of the Lord.

ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੈ ਹਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
राखनहारै हाथ दे राखिओ नामु पदारथु पाइआ ॥१॥
Rākẖanhārai hāth ḏe rākẖi▫o nām paḏārath pā▫i▫ā. ||1||
The Savior Lord has given me His Hand and saved me; I have obtained the wealth of the Naam. ||1||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਟੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਨਿ ਦੀਆ ॥
करि किरपा किलविख सभि काटे नामु निरमलु मनि दीआ ॥
Kar kirpā kilvikẖ sabẖ kāte nām nirmal man ḏī▫ā.
Granting His Grace, He has eradicated all my sins; He has placed the Immaculate Naam within my mind.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਦੂਖ ਨ ਥੀਆ ॥੨॥੪॥੮॥
गुण निधानु नानक मनि वसिआ बाहुड़ि दूख न थीआ ॥२॥४॥८॥
Guṇ niḏẖān Nānak man vasi▫ā bāhuṛ ḏūkẖ na thī▫ā. ||2||4||8||
O Nanak, the Treasure of Virtue fills my mind; I shall never again suffer in pain. ||2||4||8||

प्रभ मेरे प्रीतम प्रान पिआरे ॥
Parabẖ mere parīṯam parān pi▫āre.
My Beloved God is the Lover of my breath of life.

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਪਨੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਦਇਆਲ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
प्रेम भगति अपनो नामु दीजै दइआल अनुग्रहु धारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Parem bẖagaṯ apno nām ḏījai ḏa▫i▫āl anūgrahu ḏẖāre. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Please bless me with the loving devotional worship of the Naam, O Kind and Compassionate Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਿਮਰਉ ਚਰਨ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
सिमरउ चरन तुहारे प्रीतम रिदै तुहारी आसा ॥
Simra▫o cẖaran ṯuhāre parīṯam riḏai ṯuhārī āsā.
I meditate in remembrance on Your Feet, O my Beloved; my heart is filled with hope.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸਾ ॥੧॥
संत जना पहि करउ बेनती मनि दरसन की पिआसा ॥१॥
Sanṯ janā pėh kara▫o benṯī man ḏarsan kī pi▫āsā. ||1||
I offer my prayer to the humble Saints; my mind thirsts for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||1||
|
ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਮਰਨੁ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
बिछुरत मरनु जीवनु हरि मिलते जन कउ दरसनु दीजै ॥
Bicẖẖuraṯ maran jīvan har milṯe jan ka▫o ḏarsan ḏījai.
Separation is death, and Union with the Lord is life. Please bless Your humble servant with Your Darshan.

ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਜੀਵਨ ਧਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੯॥
नाम अधारु जीवन धनु नानक प्रभ मेरे किरपा कीजै ॥२॥५॥९॥
Nām aḏẖār jīvan ḏẖan Nānak parabẖ mere kirpā kījai. ||2||5||9||
O my God, please be Merciful, and bless Nanak with the support, the life and wealth of the Naam. ||2||5||9||

Ab apne parīṯam si▫o ban ā▫ī.
Now, I have become just like my Beloved.

ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਮਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਬਰਸੁ ਮੇਘ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राजा रामु रमत सुखु पाइओ बरसु मेघ सुखदाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rājā rām ramaṯ sukẖ pā▫i▫o baras megẖ sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Dwelling on my Sovereign Lord King, I have found peace. Rain down, O peace-giving cloud. ||1||Pause||

ਇਕੁ ਪਲੁ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਵੈ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
इकु पलु बिसरत नही सुख सागरु नामु नवै निधि पाई ॥
Ik pal bisraṯ nahī sukẖ sāgar nām navai niḏẖ pā▫ī.
I cannot forget Him, even for an instant; He is the Ocean of peace. Through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, I have obtained the nine treasures.

ਉਦੌਤੁ ਭਇਓ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਾਵੀ ਕੋ ਭੇਟੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
उदौतु भइओ पूरन भावी को भेटे संत सहाई ॥१॥
Uḏouṯ bẖa▫i▫o pūran bẖāvī ko bẖete sanṯ sahā▫ī. ||1||
My perfect destiny has been activated, meeting with the Saints, my help and support. ||1||
|
ਸੁਖ ਉਪਜੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
सुख उपजे दुख सगल बिनासे पारब्रहम लिव लाई ॥
Sukẖ upje ḏukẖ sagal bināse pārbarahm liv lā▫ī.
Peace has welled up, and all pain has been dispelled, lovingly attuned to the Supreme Lord God.

ਤਰਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਕਠਿਨ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੦॥
तरिओ संसारु कठिन भै सागरु हरि नानक चरन धिआई ॥२॥६॥१०॥
Ŧari▫o sansār kaṯẖin bẖai sāgar har Nānak cẖaran ḏẖi▫ā▫ī. ||2||6||10||
The arduous and terrifying world-ocean is crossed over, O Nanak, by meditating on the Feet of the Lord. ||2||6||10||

ਘਨਿਹਰ ਬਰਸਿ ਸਗਲ ਜਗੁ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
घनिहर बरसि सगल जगु छाइआ ॥
Gẖanihar baras sagal jag cẖẖā▫i▫ā.
The clouds have rained down all over the world.

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
भए क्रिपाल प्रीतम प्रभ मेरे अनद मंगल सुख पाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bẖa▫e kirpāl parīṯam parabẖ mere anaḏ mangal sukẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My Beloved Lord God has become merciful to me; I am blessed with ecstasy, bliss and peace. ||1||Pause||

ਮਿਟੇ ਕਲੇਸ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸਭ ਬੂਝੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
मिटे कलेस त्रिसन सभ बूझी पारब्रहमु मनि धिआइआ ॥
Mite kales ṯarisan sabẖ būjẖī pārbarahm man ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
My sorrows are erased, and all my thirsts are quenched, meditating on the Supreme Lord God.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
साधसंगि जनम मरन निवारे बहुरि न कतहू धाइआ ॥१॥
Sāḏẖsang janam maran nivāre bahur na kaṯhū ḏẖā▫i▫ā. ||1||
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, death and birth come to an end, and the mortal does not wander anywhere, ever again. ||1||
|
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਾਤਉ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
मनु तनु नामि निरंजनि रातउ चरन कमल लिव लाइआ ॥
Man ṯan nām niranjan rāṯa▫o cẖaran kamal liv lā▫i▫ā.
My mind and body are imbued with the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord; I am lovingly attuned to His Lotus Feet.

ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਰਣਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੧॥
अंगीकारु कीओ प्रभि अपनै नानक दास सरणाइआ ॥२॥७॥११॥
Angīkār kī▫o parabẖ apnai Nānak ḏās sarṇā▫i▫ā. ||2||7||11||
God has made Nanak His Own; slave Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||2||7||11||

Separated from the Lord, how can any living being live?

ਚਿਤਹਿ ਉਲਾਸ ਆਸ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਕੀ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਰਸ ਪੀਵਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
चितहि उलास आस मिलबे की चरन कमल रस पीवन ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Cẖiṯėh ulās ās milbe kī cẖaran kamal ras pīvan. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My consciousness is filled with yearning and hope to meet my Lord, and drink in the sublime essence of His Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪਿਆਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
जिन कउ पिआस तुमारी प्रीतम तिन कउ अंतरु नाही ॥
Jin ka▫o pi▫ās ṯumārī parīṯam ṯin ka▫o anṯar nāhī.
Those who are thirsty for You, O my Beloved, are not separated from You.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਮੇਰੋ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇ ਮੂਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਂਹੀਂ ॥੧॥
जिन कउ बिसरै मेरो रामु पिआरा से मूए मरि जांहीं ॥१॥
Jin ka▫o bisrai mero rām pi▫ārā se mū▫e mar jāʼnhīʼn. ||1||
Those who forget my Beloved Lord are dead and dying. ||1||
