ਜਿਨਿ ਐਸਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਕੁਲਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਗਾਰੀ ॥
जिनि ऐसा नामु विसारिआ मेरा हरि हरि तिस कै कुलि लागी गारी ॥
Jin aisā nām visāri▫ā merā har har ṯis kai kul lāgī gārī.
One who forgets such a Name of the Lord, Har, Har - his family is dishonored.

ਹਰਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਕੁਲਿ ਪਰਸੂਤਿ ਨ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਧਵਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
हरि तिस कै कुलि परसूति न करीअहु तिसु बिधवा करि महतारी ॥२॥
Har ṯis kai kul parsūṯ na karī▫ahu ṯis biḏẖvā kar mėhṯārī. ||2||
His family is sterile and barren, and his mother is made a widow. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਿਸੁ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
हरि हरि आनि मिलावहु गुरु साधू जिसु अहिनिसि हरि उरि धारी ॥
Har har ān milāvhu gur sāḏẖū jis ahinis har ur ḏẖārī.
O Lord, let me meet the Holy Guru, who night and day keep the Lord enshrined in his heart.

ਗੁਰਿ ਡੀਠੈ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਿਖੁ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਜਿਉ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
गुरि डीठै गुर का सिखु बिगसै जिउ बारिकु देखि महतारी ॥३॥
Gur dīṯẖai gur kā sikẖ bigsai ji▫o bārik ḏekẖ mėhṯārī. ||3||
Seeing the Guru, the GurSikh blossoms forth, like the child seeing his mother. ||3||

ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਭੀਤਿ ਕਰਾਰੀ ॥
धन पिर का इक ही संगि वासा विचि हउमै भीति करारी ॥
Ḏẖan pir kā ik hī sang vāsā vicẖ ha▫umai bẖīṯ karārī.
The soul-bride and the Husband Lord live together as one, but the hard wall of egotism has come between them.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਭੀਤਿ ਤੋਰੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲੇ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
गुरि पूरै हउमै भीति तोरी जन नानक मिले बनवारी ॥४॥१॥
Gur pūrai ha▫umai bẖīṯ ṯorī jan Nānak mile banvārī. ||4||1||
The Perfect Guru demolishes the wall of egotism; servant Nanak has met the Lord, the Lord of the World. ||4||1||

ਗੰਗਾ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਗੋਦਾਵਰੀ ਸਰਸੁਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਦਮੁ ਧੂਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੀ ਤਾਈ ॥
गंगा जमुना गोदावरी सरसुती ते करहि उदमु धूरि साधू की ताई ॥
Gangā jamunā goḏāvrī sarsuṯī ṯe karahi uḏam ḏẖūr sāḏẖū kī ṯā▫ī.
The Ganges, the Jamunaa, the Godaavari and the Saraswati - these rivers strive for the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੇ ਪਰੇ ਹਮਰੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਮਰੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੧॥
किलविख मैलु भरे परे हमरै विचि हमरी मैलु साधू की धूरि गवाई ॥१॥
Kilvikẖ mail bẖare pare hamrai vicẖ hamrī mail sāḏẖū kī ḏẖūr gavā▫ī. ||1||
Overflowing with their filthy sins, the mortals take cleansing baths in them; the rivers' pollution is washed away by the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||1||
|
ਤੀਰਥਿ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਨਾਈ ॥
तीरथि अठसठि मजनु नाई ॥
Ŧirath aṯẖsaṯẖ majan nā▫ī.
Instead of bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, take your cleansing bath in the Name.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਰੀ ਉਡਿ ਨੇਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਭ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सतसंगति की धूरि परी उडि नेत्री सभ दुरमति मैलु गवाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saṯsangaṯ kī ḏẖūr parī ud neṯrī sabẖ ḏurmaṯ mail gavā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
When the dust of the feet of the Sat Sangat rises up into the eyes, all filthy evil-mindedness is removed. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾਹਰਨਵੀ ਤਪੈ ਭਾਗੀਰਥਿ ਆਣੀ ਕੇਦਾਰੁ ਥਾਪਿਓ ਮਹਸਾਈ ॥
जाहरनवी तपै भागीरथि आणी केदारु थापिओ महसाई ॥
Jāharnavī ṯapai bẖāgīrath āṇī keḏār thāpi▫o mėhsā▫ī.
Bhaageerat'h the penitent brought the Ganges down, and Shiva established Kaydaar.

ਕਾਂਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੁ ਚਰਾਵਤ ਗਾਊ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
कांसी क्रिसनु चरावत गाऊ मिलि हरि जन सोभा पाई ॥२॥
Kāʼnsī krisan cẖarāvaṯ gā▫ū mil har jan sobẖā pā▫ī. ||2||
Krishna grazed cows in Kaashi; through the humble servant of the Lord, these places became famous. ||2||
|
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਦੇਵੀ ਥਾਪੇ ਸਭਿ ਤਿਤਨੇ ਲੋਚਹਿ ਧੂਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੀ ਤਾਈ ॥
जितने तीरथ देवी थापे सभि तितने लोचहि धूरि साधू की ताई ॥
Jiṯne ṯirath ḏevī thāpe sabẖ ṯiṯne locẖėh ḏẖūr sāḏẖū kī ṯā▫ī.
And all the sacred shrines of pilgrimage established by the gods, long for the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਲੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਈ ॥੩॥
हरि का संतु मिलै गुर साधू लै तिस की धूरि मुखि लाई ॥३॥
Har kā sanṯ milai gur sāḏẖū lai ṯis kī ḏẖūr mukẖ lā▫ī. ||3||
Meeting with the Lord's Saint, the Holy Guru, I apply the dust of His feet to my face. ||3||

ਜਿਤਨੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਤਿਤਨੀ ਲੋਚੈ ਧੂਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੀ ਤਾਈ ॥
जितनी स्रिसटि तुमरी मेरे सुआमी सभ तितनी लोचै धूरि साधू की ताई ॥
Jiṯnī sarisat ṯumrī mere su▫āmī sabẖ ṯiṯnī locẖai ḏẖūr sāḏẖū kī ṯā▫ī.
And all the creatures of Your Universe, O my Lord and Master, long for the dust of the feet of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਲਾਟਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥
नानक लिलाटि होवै जिसु लिखिआ तिसु साधू धूरि दे हरि पारि लंघाई ॥४॥२॥
Nānak lilāt hovai jis likẖi▫ā ṯis sāḏẖū ḏẖūr ḏe har pār langẖā▫ī. ||4||2||
O Nanak, one who has such destiny inscribed on his forehead, is blessed with the dust of the feet of the Holy; the Lord carries him across. ||4||2||

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੈ ॥
तिसु जन कउ हरि मीठ लगाना जिसु हरि हरि क्रिपा करै ॥
Ŧis jan ka▫o har mīṯẖ lagānā jis har har kirpā karai.
The Lord seems sweet to that humble being who is blessed by the Grace of the Lord.

ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਸਭਿ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਉਚਰੈ ॥੧॥
तिस की भूख दूख सभि उतरै जो हरि गुण हरि उचरै ॥१॥
Ŧis kī bẖūkẖ ḏūkẖ sabẖ uṯrai jo har guṇ har ucẖrai. ||1||
His hunger and pain are totally taken away; he chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
|
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਰੈ ॥
जपि मन हरि हरि हरि निसतरै ॥
Jap man har har har nisṯarai.
Meditating on the Lord, Har, Har, Har, the mortal is emancipated.

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਰਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुर के बचन करन सुनि धिआवै भव सागरु पारि परै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur ke bacẖan karan sun ḏẖi▫āvai bẖav sāgar pār parai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
One who listens to the Guru's Teachings and meditates on them, is carried across the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause||

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਹਮ ਹਾਟਿ ਬਿਹਾਝੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੈ ॥
तिसु जन के हम हाटि बिहाझे जिसु हरि हरि क्रिपा करै ॥
Ŧis jan ke ham hāt bihājẖe jis har har kirpā karai.
I am the slave of that humble being, who is blessed by the Grace of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਭ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਹਰੈ ॥੨॥
हरि जन कउ मिलिआं सुखु पाईऐ सभ दुरमति मैलु हरै ॥२॥
Har jan ka▫o mili▫āʼn sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai sabẖ ḏurmaṯ mail harai. ||2||
Meeting with the Lord's humble servant, peace is obtained; all the pollution and filth of evil-mindedness is washed away. ||2||
|
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਭੂਖ ਲਗਾਨੀ ਜਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਬਿਚਰੈ ॥
हरि जन कउ हरि भूख लगानी जनु त्रिपतै जा हरि गुन बिचरै ॥
Har jan ka▫o har bẖūkẖ lagānī jan ṯaripṯai jā har gun bicẖrai.
The humble servant of the Lord feels hunger only for the Lord. He is satisfied only when he chants the Lord's Glories.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਲ ਕਾ ਮੀਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਫੂਟਿ ਮਰੈ ॥੩॥
हरि का जनु हरि जल का मीना हरि बिसरत फूटि मरै ॥३॥
Har kā jan har jal kā mīnā har bisraṯ fūt marai. ||3||
The humble servant of the Lord is a fish in the Water of the Lord. Forgetting the Lord, he would dry up and die. ||3||
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਈ ਸੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੈ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਧਰੈ ॥
जिनि एह प्रीति लाई सो जानै कै जानै जिसु मनि धरै ॥
Jin eh parīṯ lā▫ī so jānai kai jānai jis man ḏẖarai.
He alone knows this love, who enshrines it within his mind.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਟਰੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
जनु नानकु हरि देखि सुखु पावै सभ तन की भूख टरै ॥४॥३॥
Jan Nānak har ḏekẖ sukẖ pāvai sabẖ ṯan kī bẖūkẖ tarai. ||4||3||
Servant Nanak gazes upon the Lord and is at peace; The hunger of his body is totally satisfied. ||4||3||

ਜਿਤਨੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਤਨੇ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਾਰ ਲਿਖਾਵੈ ॥
जितने जीअ जंत प्रभि कीने तितने सिरि कार लिखावै ॥
Jiṯne jī▫a janṯ parabẖ kīne ṯiṯne sir kār likẖāvai.
All the beings and creatures which God has created - on their foreheads, He has written their destiny.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਡਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
हरि जन कउ हरि दीन्ह वडाई हरि जनु हरि कारै लावै ॥१॥
Har jan ka▫o har ḏīnĥ vadā▫ī har jan har kārai lāvai. ||1||
The Lord blesses His humble servant with glorious greatness. The Lord enjoins him to his tasks. ||1||
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥
सतिगुरु हरि हरि नामु द्रिड़ावै ॥
Saṯgur har har nām ḏariṛ▫āvai.
The True Guru implants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, within.
