ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਵੈਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੁ ਕੋ ਸਕੈ ਛਡਾਇਆ
अंति होवै वैर विरोधु को सकै न छडाइआ ॥
Anṯ hovai vair viroḏẖ ko sakai na cẖẖadā▫i▫ā.
In the end, hatred and conflict well up, and no one can save him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਗਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩੨॥
नानक विणु नावै ध्रिगु मोहु जितु लगि दुखु पाइआ ॥३२॥
Nānak viṇ nāvai ḏẖarig moh jiṯ lag ḏukẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||32||
O Nanak, without the Name, those loving attachments are cursed; engrossed in them, he suffers in pain. ||32||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
सलोक मः ३ ॥
Salok mėhlā 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਖਾਧੈ ਸਭ ਭੁਖ ਜਾਇ
गुरमुखि अम्रितु नामु है जितु खाधै सभ भुख जाइ ॥
Gurmukẖ amriṯ nām hai jiṯ kẖāḏẖai sabẖ bẖukẖ jā▫e.
The Guru's Word is the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam. Eating it, all hunger departs.

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ
त्रिसना मूलि न होवई नामु वसै मनि आइ ॥
Ŧarisnā mūl na hova▫ī nām vasai man ā▫e.
There is no thirst or desire at all, when the Naam comes to dwell in the mind.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਜਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਖਾਣਾ ਤਿਤੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਲਗੈ ਤਨਿ ਧਾਇ
बिनु नावै जि होरु खाणा तितु रोगु लगै तनि धाइ ॥
Bin nāvai jė hor kẖāṇā ṯiṯ rog lagai ṯan ḏẖā▫e.
Eating anything other than the Name, disease runs to afflict the body.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰਸ ਕਸ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਲਾਹਣਾ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
नानक रस कस सबदु सलाहणा आपे लए मिलाइ ॥१॥
Nānak ras kas sabaḏ salāhṇā āpe la▫e milā▫e. ||1||
O Nanak, whoever takes the Praise of the Shabad as his spices and flavors - the Lord unites him in His Union. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ३ ॥
Mėhlā 3.
Third Mehl:

ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਸਹ ਮੇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ
जीआ अंदरि जीउ सबदु है जितु सह मेलावा होइ ॥
Jī▫ā anḏar jī▫o sabaḏ hai jiṯ sah melāvā ho▫e.
The life within all living beings is the Word of the Shabad. Through it, we meet our Husband Lord.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਜਗਿ ਆਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇਰੁ ਹੈ ਸਬਦੇ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ
बिनु सबदै जगि आन्हेरु है सबदे परगटु होइ ॥
Bin sabḏai jag ānĥer hai sabḏe pargat ho▫e.
Without the Shabad, the world is in darkness. Through the Shabad, it is enlightened.

ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮੋਨੀ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਭੇਖ ਥਕੇ ਤਨੁ ਧੋਇ
पंडित मोनी पड़ि पड़ि थके भेख थके तनु धोइ ॥
Pandiṯ monī paṛ paṛ thake bẖekẖ thake ṯan ḏẖo▫e.
The Pandits, the religious scholars, and the silent sages read and write until they are weary. The religious fanatics are tired of washing their bodies.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਓ ਦੁਖੀਏ ਚਲੇ ਰੋਇ
बिनु सबदै किनै न पाइओ दुखीए चले रोइ ॥
Bin sabḏai kinai na pā▫i▫o ḏukẖī▫e cẖale ro▫e.
Without the Shabad, no one attains the Lord; the miserable depart weeping and wailing.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
नानक नदरी पाईऐ करमि परापति होइ ॥२॥
Nānak naḏrī pā▫ī▫ai karam parāpaṯ ho▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, by His Glance of Grace, the Merciful Lord is attained. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰਖੈ ਅਤਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਬਹਿ ਮੰਦੁ ਪਕਾਇਆ
इसत्री पुरखै अति नेहु बहि मंदु पकाइआ ॥
Isṯarī purkẖai aṯ nehu bahi manḏ pakā▫i▫ā.
The husband and wife are very much in love; sitting together, they make evil plans.

ਦਿਸਦਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਚਲਸੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਇਆ
दिसदा सभु किछु चलसी मेरे प्रभ भाइआ ॥
Ḏisḏā sabẖ kicẖẖ cẖalsī mere parabẖ bẖā▫i▫ā.
All that is seen shall pass away. This is the Will of my God.

ਕਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ਥਿਰੁ ਜਗਿ ਕੋ ਕਢਹੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ
किउ रहीऐ थिरु जगि को कढहु उपाइआ ॥
Ki▫o rahī▫ai thir jag ko kadẖahu upā▫i▫ā.
How can anyone remain in this world forever? Some may try to devise a plan.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਥਿਰੁ ਕੰਧੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ
गुर पूरे की चाकरी थिरु कंधु सबाइआ ॥
Gur pūre kī cẖākrī thir kanḏẖ sabā▫i▫ā.
Working for the Perfect Guru, the wall becomes permanent and stable.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੩੩॥
नानक बखसि मिलाइअनु हरि नामि समाइआ ॥३३॥
Nānak bakẖas milā▫i▫an har nām samā▫i▫ā. ||33||
O Nanak, the Lord forgives them, and merges them into Himself; they are absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||33||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
सलोक मः ३ ॥
Salok mėhlā 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਹੇਤੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ
माइआ मोहि विसारिआ गुर का भउ हेतु अपारु ॥
Mā▫i▫ā mohi visāri▫ā gur kā bẖa▫o heṯ apār.
Attached to Maya, the mortal forgets the Fear of God and Guru, and love for the Infinite Lord.

ਲੋਭਿ ਲਹਰਿ ਸੁਧਿ ਮਤਿ ਗਈ ਸਚਿ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ
लोभि लहरि सुधि मति गई सचि न लगै पिआरु ॥
Lobẖ lahar suḏẖ maṯ ga▫ī sacẖ na lagai pi▫ār.
The waves of greed take away his wisdom and understanding, and he does not embrace love for the True Lord.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ
गुरमुखि जिना सबदु मनि वसै दरगह मोख दुआरु ॥
Gurmukẖ jinā sabaḏ man vasai ḏargėh mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
The Word of the Shabad abides in the mind of the Gurmukhs, who find the Gate of Salvation.

ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
नानक आपे मेलि लए आपे बखसणहारु ॥१॥
Nānak āpe mel la▫e āpe bakẖsaṇhār. ||1||
O Nanak, the Lord Himself forgives them, and unites them in Union with Himself. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੜੀ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਵਿਸਰੇ ਸਰੈ ਬਿੰਦ
नानक जिसु बिनु घड़ी न जीवणा विसरे सरै न बिंद ॥
Nānak jis bin gẖaṛī na jīvṇā visre sarai na binḏ.
O Nanak, without Him, we could not live for a moment. Forgetting Him, we could not succeed for an instant.

ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਉ ਮਨ ਰੂਸੀਐ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੨॥
तिसु सिउ किउ मन रूसीऐ जिसहि हमारी चिंद ॥२॥
Ŧis si▫o ki▫o man rūsī▫ai jisahi hamārī cẖinḏ. ||2||
O mortal, how can you be angry with the One who cares for you? ||2||

ਮਃ
मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਸਾਵਣੁ ਆਇਆ ਝਿਮਝਿਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ
सावणु आइआ झिमझिमा हरि गुरमुखि नामु धिआइ ॥
Sāvaṇ ā▫i▫ā jẖimjẖimā har gurmukẖ nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
The rainy season of Saawan has come. The Gurmukh meditates on the Lord's Name.

ਦੁਖ ਭੁਖ ਕਾੜਾ ਸਭੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਸੀ ਮੀਹੁ ਵੁਠਾ ਛਹਬਰ ਲਾਇ
दुख भुख काड़ा सभु चुकाइसी मीहु वुठा छहबर लाइ ॥
Ḏukẖ bẖukẖ kāṛā sabẖ cẖukā▫isī mīhu vuṯẖā cẖẖahbar lā▫e.
All pain, hunger and misfortune end, when the rain falls in torrents.

ਸਭ ਧਰਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੀ ਅੰਨੁ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਬੋਹਲ ਲਾਇ
सभ धरति भई हरीआवली अंनु जमिआ बोहल लाइ ॥
Sabẖ ḏẖaraṯ bẖa▫ī harī▫āvalī ann jammi▫ā bohal lā▫e.
The entire earth is rejuvenated, and the grain grows in abundance.

ਹਰਿ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਵੈ ਥਾਇ
हरि अचिंतु बुलावै क्रिपा करि हरि आपे पावै थाइ ॥
Har acẖinṯ bulāvai kirpā kar har āpe pāvai thā▫e.
The Carefree Lord, by His Grace, summons that mortal whom the Lord Himself approves.

ਹਰਿ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਜੁ ਅੰਤੇ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ
हरि तिसहि धिआवहु संत जनहु जु अंते लए छडाइ ॥
Har ṯisėh ḏẖi▫āvahu sanṯ janhu jo anṯe la▫e cẖẖadā▫e.
So meditate on the Lord, O Saints; He shall save you in the end.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ
हरि कीरति भगति अनंदु है सदा सुखु वसै मनि आइ ॥
Har kīraṯ bẖagaṯ anand hai saḏā sukẖ vasai man ā▫e.
The Kirtan of the Lord's Praises and devotion to Him is bliss; peace shall come to dwell in the mind.

ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਦੁਖ ਭੁਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ
जिन्हा गुरमुखि नामु अराधिआ तिना दुख भुख लहि जाइ ॥
Jinĥā gurmukẖ nām arāḏẖi▫ā ṯinā ḏukẖ bẖukẖ lėh jā▫e.
Those Gurmukhs who worship the Naam, the Name of the Lord - their pain and hunger departs.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੩॥
जन नानकु त्रिपतै गाइ गुण हरि दरसनु देहु सुभाइ ॥३॥
Jan Nānak ṯaripṯai gā▫e guṇ har ḏarsan ḏeh subẖā▫e. ||3||
Servant Nanak is satisfied, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. Please embellish him with the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||3||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਨਿਤ ਦੇਵੈ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈਆ
गुर पूरे की दाति नित देवै चड़ै सवाईआ ॥
Gur pūre kī ḏāṯ niṯ ḏevai cẖaṛai savā▫ī▫ā.
The Perfect Guru bestows His gifts, which increase day by day.

ਤੁਸਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਛਪੈ ਛਪਾਈਆ
तुसि देवै आपि दइआलु न छपै छपाईआ ॥
Ŧus ḏevai āp ḏa▫i▫āl na cẖẖapai cẖẖapā▫ī▫ā.
The Merciful Lord Himself bestows them; they cannot be concealed by concealment.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਵਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈਆ
हिरदै कवलु प्रगासु उनमनि लिव लाईआ ॥
Hirḏai kaval pargās unman liv lā▫ī▫ā.
The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and the mortal is lovingly absorbed in the state of supreme bliss.

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਰੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੀਸ ਸਿਰਿ ਛਾਈ ਪਾਈਆ
जे को करे उस दी रीस सिरि छाई पाईआ ॥
Je ko kare us ḏī rīs sir cẖẖā▫ī pā▫ī▫ā.
If anyone tries to challenge him, the Lord throws dust on his head.

ਨਾਨਕ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਸਕਈ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ॥੩੪॥
नानक अपड़ि कोइ न सकई पूरे सतिगुर की वडिआईआ ॥३४॥
Nānak apaṛ ko▫e na sak▫ī pūre saṯgur kī vaḏi▫ā▫ī▫ā. ||34||
O Nanak, no one can equal the glory of the Perfect True Guru. ||34||
