ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਨਾ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੭॥
मनमुख दूजै भरमि भुलाए ना बूझहि वीचारा ॥७॥
Manmukẖ ḏūjai bẖaram bẖulā▫e nā būjẖėh vīcẖārā. ||7||
The self-willed manmukhs wander, lost in doubt and duality. They do not know how to contemplate the Lord. ||7||

ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ॥
आपे गुरमुखि आपे देवै आपे करि करि वेखै ॥
Āpe gurmukẖ āpe ḏevai āpe kar kar vekẖai.
He Himself is the Gurmukh, and He Himself gives; He Himself creates and beholds.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਥਾਇ ਪਏ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਲੇਖੈ ॥੮॥੩॥
नानक से जन थाइ पए है जिन की पति पावै लेखै ॥८॥३॥
Nānak se jan thā▫e pa▫e hai jin kī paṯ pāvai lekẖai. ||8||3||
O Nanak, those humble beings are approved, whose honor the Lord Himself accepts. ||8||3||

ਗੁਸਾਈ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਡੀਠਾ ॥
गुसाईं परतापु तुहारो डीठा ॥
Gusā▫īʼn parṯāp ṯuhāro dīṯẖā.
O Lord of the World, I gaze upon Your wondrous glory.

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਉਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਵਨ ਸਗਲ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਬੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करन करावन उपाइ समावन सगल छत्रपति बीठा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karan karāvan upā▫e samāvan sagal cẖẖaṯarpaṯ bīṯẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You are the Doer, the Cause of causes, the Creator and Destroyer. You are the Sovereign Lord of all. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਣਾ ਰਾਉ ਰਾਜ ਭਏ ਰੰਕਾ ਉਨਿ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਹਣੁ ਕਹਾਇਓ ॥
राणा राउ राज भए रंका उनि झूठे कहणु कहाइओ ॥
Rāṇā rā▫o rāj bẖa▫e rankā un jẖūṯẖe kahaṇ kahā▫i▫o.
The rulers and nobles and kings shall become beggars. Their ostentatious shows are false

ਹਮਰਾ ਰਾਜਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
हमरा राजनु सदा सलामति ता को सगल घटा जसु गाइओ ॥१॥
Hamrā rājan saḏā salāmaṯ ṯā ko sagal gẖatā jas gā▫i▫o. ||1||
. My Sovereign Lord King is eternally stable. His Praises are sung in every heart. ||1||

ਉਪਮਾ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਕਹਤ ਜੇਤ ਪਾਹੂਚਾ ॥
उपमा सुनहु राजन की संतहु कहत जेत पाहूचा ॥
Upmā sunhu rājan kī sanṯahu kahaṯ jeṯ pāhūcẖā.
Listen to the Praises of my Lord King, O Saints. I chant them as best I can.

ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ਵਡ ਸਾਹ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਊਚੇ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥੨॥
बेसुमार वड साह दातारा ऊचे ही ते ऊचा ॥२॥
Besumār vad sāh ḏāṯārā ūcẖe hī ṯe ūcẖā. ||2||
My Lord King, the Great Giver, is Immeasurable. He is the Highest of the high. ||2||

ਪਵਨਿ ਪਰੋਇਓ ਸਗਲ ਅਕਾਰਾ ਪਾਵਕ ਕਾਸਟ ਸੰਗੇ ॥
पवनि परोइओ सगल अकारा पावक कासट संगे ॥
Pavan paro▫i▫o sagal akārā pāvak kāsat sange.
He has strung His Breath throughout the creation; He locked the fire in the wood.

ਨੀਰੁ ਧਰਣਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਏਕਤ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੇ ॥੩॥
नीरु धरणि करि राखे एकत कोइ न किस ही संगे ॥३॥
Nīr ḏẖaraṇ kar rākẖe ekaṯ ko▫e na kis hī sange. ||3||
He placed the water and the land together, but neither blends with the other. ||3||
|
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਕਥਾ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੀ ਚਾਲੈ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਉਮਾਹਾ ॥
घटि घटि कथा राजन की चालै घरि घरि तुझहि उमाहा ॥
Gẖat gẖat kathā rājan kī cẖālai gẖar gẖar ṯujẖėh omāhā.
In each and every heart, the Story of our Sovereign Lord is told; in each and every home, they yearn for Him.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਕਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥੪॥
जीअ जंत सभि पाछै करिआ प्रथमे रिजकु समाहा ॥४॥
Jī▫a janṯ sabẖ pācẖẖai kari▫ā parathme rijak samāhā. ||4||
Afterwards, He created all beings and creatures; but first, He provided them with sustenance. ||4||

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣਾ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣਾ ਮਸਲਤਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਦੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ॥
जो किछु करणा सु आपे करणा मसलति काहू दीन्ही ॥
Jo kicẖẖ karṇā so āpe karṇā maslaṯ kāhū ḏīnĥī.
Whatever He does, He does by Himself. Who has ever given Him advice?

ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਹ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ॥੫॥
अनिक जतन करि करह दिखाए साची साखी चीन्ही ॥५॥
Anik jaṯan kar karah ḏikẖā▫e sācẖī sākẖī cẖīnĥī. ||5||
The mortals make all sorts of efforts and showy displays, but He is realized only through the Teachings of Truth. ||5||

ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਦੀਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ॥
हरि भगता करि राखे अपने दीनी नामु वडाई ॥
Har bẖagṯā kar rākẖe apne ḏīnī nām vadā▫ī.
The Lord protects and saves His devotees; He blesses them with the glory of His Name.

ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਵਗਿਆ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਤੇ ਤੈਂ ਦੀਏ ਰੁੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਈ ॥੬॥
जिनि जिनि करी अवगिआ जन की ते तैं दीए रुड़्हाई ॥६॥
Jin jin karī avgi▫ā jan kī ṯe ṯaiʼn ḏī▫e ruṛĥā▫ī. ||6||
Whoever is disrespectful to the humble servant of the Lord, shall be swept away and destroyed. ||6||
|
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਅਵਗਨ ਸਭਿ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ॥
मुकति भए साधसंगति करि तिन के अवगन सभि परहरिआ ॥
Mukaṯ bẖa▫e sāḏẖsangaṯ kar ṯin ke avgan sabẖ parhari▫ā.
Those who join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, are liberated; all their demerits are taken away.

ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥੭॥
तिन कउ देखि भए किरपाला तिन भव सागरु तरिआ ॥७॥
Ŧin ka▫o ḏekẖ bẖa▫e kirpālā ṯin bẖav sāgar ṯari▫ā. ||7||
Seeing them, God becomes merciful; they are carried across the terrifying world-ocean. ||7||
|
ਹਮ ਨਾਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਨੀਚ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਬਡ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਉਣ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
हम नान्हे नीच तुम्हे बड साहिब कुदरति कउण बीचारा ॥
Ham nānĥe nīcẖ ṯumĥe bad sāhib kuḏraṯ ka▫uṇ bīcẖārā.
I am lowly, I am nothing at all; You are my Great Lord and Master - how can I even contemplate Your creative potency?

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸ ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੮॥੧॥
मनु तनु सीतलु गुर दरस देखे नानक नामु अधारा ॥८॥१॥
Man ṯan sīṯal gur ḏaras ḏekẖe Nānak nām aḏẖārā. ||8||1||
My mind and body are cooled and soothed, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. Nanak takes the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||8||1||

Listen to the Story of the Inaccessible and Unfathomable.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਅਚਰਜ ਸਭਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पारब्रहम की अचरज सभा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pārbarahm kī acẖraj sabẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The glory of the Supreme Lord God is wondrous and amazing! ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥
सदा सदा सतिगुर नमसकार ॥
Saḏā saḏā saṯgur namaskār.
Forever and ever, humbly bow to the True Guru.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
गुर किरपा ते गुन गाइ अपार ॥
Gur kirpā ṯe gun gā▫e apār.
By Guru's Grace, sing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord.

ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
मन भीतरि होवै परगासु ॥
Man bẖīṯar hovai pargās.
His Light shall radiate deep within your mind.
|
ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
गिआन अंजनु अगिआन बिनासु ॥१॥
Gi▫ān anjan agi▫ān binās. ||1||
With the healing ointment of spiritual wisdom, ignorance is dispelled. ||1||
|
ਮਿਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੁ ॥
मिति नाही जा का बिसथारु ॥
Miṯ nāhī jā kā bisthār.
There is no limit to His Expanse.
|
ਸੋਭਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
सोभा ता की अपर अपार ॥
Sobẖā ṯā kī apar apār.
His Glory is Infinite and Endless.
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਰੰਗ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗਨੇ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
अनिक रंग जा के गने न जाहि ॥
Anik rang jā ke gane na jāhi.
His many plays cannot be counted.
|
ਸੋਗ ਹਰਖ ਦੁਹਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
सोग हरख दुहहू महि नाहि ॥२॥
Sog harakẖ ḏuhhū mėh nāhi. ||2||
He is not subject to pleasure or pain. ||2||
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੇਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਕਰਹਿ ॥
अनिक ब्रहमे जा के बेद धुनि करहि ॥
Anik barahme jā ke beḏ ḏẖun karahi.
Many Brahmas vibrate Him in the Vedas.

ਅਨਿਕ ਮਹੇਸ ਬੈਸਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਹਿ ॥
अनिक महेस बैसि धिआनु धरहि ॥
Anik mahes bais ḏẖi▫ān ḏẖarėh.
Many Shivas sit in deep meditation.
