ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जनम जनम के किलविख भउ भंजन गुरमुखि एको डीठा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Janam janam ke kilvikẖ bẖa▫o bẖanjan gurmukẖ eko dīṯẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
It is the Destroyer of the sins, the guilt and fears of countless incarnations; the Gurmukh sees the One Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ
कोटि कोटंतर के पाप बिनासन हरि साचा मनि भाइआ ॥
Kot kotanṯar ke pāp bināsan har sācẖā man bẖā▫i▫ā.
Millions upon millions of sins are erased, when the mind comes to love the True Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਸੂਝੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
हरि बिनु अवरु न सूझै दूजा सतिगुरि एकु बुझाइआ ॥१॥
Har bin avar na sūjẖai ḏūjā saṯgur ek bujẖā▫i▫ā. ||1||
I do not know any other, except the Lord; the True Guru has revealed the One Lord to me. ||1||

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਈ
प्रेम पदारथु जिन घटि वसिआ सहजे रहे समाई ॥
Parem paḏārath jin gẖat vasi▫ā sėhje rahe samā▫ī.
Those whose hearts are filled with the wealth of the Lord's Love, remain intuitively absorbed in Him.

ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੇ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਈ ॥੨॥
सबदि रते से रंगि चलूले राते सहजि सुभाई ॥२॥
Sabaḏ raṯe se rang cẖalūle rāṯe sahj subẖā▫ī. ||2||
Imbued with the Shabad, they are dyed in the deep crimson color of His Love. They are imbued with the Lord's celestial peace and poise. ||2||

ਰਸਨਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਲਾਲ ਭਈ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਈ
रसना सबदु वीचारि रसि राती लाल भई रंगु लाई ॥
Rasnā sabaḏ vīcẖār ras rāṯī lāl bẖa▫ī rang lā▫ī.
Contemplating the Shabad, the tongue is imbued with joy; embracing His Love, it is dyed a deep crimson.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲੁ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਆ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਆਈ ॥੩॥
राम नामु निहकेवलु जाणिआ मनु त्रिपतिआ सांति आई ॥३॥
Rām nām nihkeval jāṇi▫ā man ṯaripṯi▫ā sāʼnṯ ā▫ī. ||3||
I have come to know the Name of the Pure Detached Lord; my mind is satisfied and comforted. ||3||

ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਪੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਮੋਨੀ ਸਭਿ ਥਾਕੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੇਖ ਥਕੇ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ
पंडित पड़्हि पड़्हि मोनी सभि थाके भ्रमि भेख थके भेखधारी ॥
Pandiṯ paṛĥ paṛĥ monī sabẖ thāke bẖaram bẖekẖ thake bẖekẖ▫ḏẖārī.
The Pandits, the religious scholars, read and study, and all the silent sages have grown weary; they have grown weary of wearing their religious robes and wandering all around.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥੪॥
गुर परसादि निरंजनु पाइआ साचै सबदि वीचारी ॥४॥
Gur parsāḏ niranjan pā▫i▫ā sācẖai sabaḏ vīcẖārī. ||4||
By Guru's Grace, I have found the Immaculate Lord; I contemplate the True Word of the Shabad. ||4||

ਆਵਾ ਗਉਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ
आवा गउणु निवारि सचि राते साच सबदु मनि भाइआ ॥
Āvā ga▫oṇ nivār sacẖ rāṯe sācẖ sabaḏ man bẖā▫i▫ā.
My coming and going in reincarnation is ended, and I am imbued with Truth; the True Word of the Shabad is pleasing to my mind.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੫॥
सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाईऐ जिनि विचहु आपु गवाइआ ॥५॥
Saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai jin vicẖahu āp gavā▫i▫ā. ||5||
Serving the True Guru, eternal peace is found, and self-conceit is eliminated from within. ||5||

ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ
साचै सबदि सहज धुनि उपजै मनि साचै लिव लाई ॥
Sācẖai sabaḏ sahj ḏẖun upjai man sācẖai liv lā▫ī.
Through the True Word of the Shabad, the celestial melody wells up, and the mind is lovingly focused on the True Lord.

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਈ ॥੬॥
अगम अगोचरु नामु निरंजनु गुरमुखि मंनि वसाई ॥६॥
Agam agocẖar nām niranjan gurmukẖ man vasā▫ī. ||6||
The Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord, abides in the mind of the Gurmukh. ||6||

ਏਕਸ ਮਹਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ
एकस महि सभु जगतो वरतै विरला एकु पछाणै ॥
Ėkas mėh sabẖ jagṯo varṯai virlā ek pacẖẖāṇai.
The whole world is contained in the One Lord. How rare are those who understand the One Lord.

ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਸੂਝੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ॥੭॥
सबदि मरै ता सभु किछु सूझै अनदिनु एको जाणै ॥७॥
Sabaḏ marai ṯā sabẖ kicẖẖ sūjẖai an▫ḏin eko jāṇai. ||7||
One who dies in the Shabad comes to know everything; night and day, he realizes the One Lord. ||7||

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਥਨੁ ਜਾਈ
जिस नो नदरि करे सोई जनु बूझै होरु कहणा कथनु न जाई ॥
Jis no naḏar kare so▫ī jan būjẖai hor kahṇā kathan na jā▫ī.
That humble being, upon whom the Lord casts His Glance of Grace, understands. Nothing else can be said.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਏਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੮॥੨॥
नानक नामि रते सदा बैरागी एक सबदि लिव लाई ॥८॥२॥
Nānak nām raṯe saḏā bairāgī ek sabaḏ liv lā▫ī. ||8||2||
O Nanak, those who are imbued with the Naam are forever detached from the world; they are lovingly attuned to the One Word of the Shabad. ||8||2||

ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ
सारग महला ३ ॥
Sārag mėhlā 3.
Saarang, Third Mehl:

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ
मन मेरे हरि की अकथ कहाणी ॥
Man mere har kī akath kahāṇī.
O my mind, the Speech of the Lord is unspoken.

ਹਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि नदरि करे सोई जनु पाए गुरमुखि विरलै जाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har naḏar kare so▫ī jan pā▫e gurmukẖ virlai jāṇī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
That humble being who is blessed by the Lord's Glance of Grace, obtains it. How rare is that Gurmukh who understands. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ
हरि गहिर ग्मभीरु गुणी गहीरु गुर कै सबदि पछानिआ ॥
Har gahir gambẖīr guṇī gahīr gur kai sabaḏ pacẖẖāni▫ā.
The Lord is Deep, Profound and Unfathomable, the Ocean of Excellence; He is realized through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਹਿ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਬਉਰਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
बहु बिधि करम करहि भाइ दूजै बिनु सबदै बउरानिआ ॥१॥
Baho biḏẖ karam karahi bẖā▫e ḏūjai bin sabḏai ba▫urāni▫ā. ||1||
Mortals do their deeds in all sorts of ways, in the love of duality; but without the Shabad, they are insane. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੈਲਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਹੋਈ
हरि नामि नावै सोई जनु निरमलु फिरि मैला मूलि न होई ॥
Har nām nāvai so▫ī jan nirmal fir mailā mūl na ho▫ī.
That humble being who bathes in the Lord's Name becomes immaculate; he never becomes polluted again.

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹੈ ਮੈਲਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਰਮਿ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥੨॥
नाम बिना सभु जगु है मैला दूजै भरमि पति खोई ॥२॥
Nām binā sabẖ jag hai mailā ḏūjai bẖaram paṯ kẖo▫ī. ||2||
Without the Name, the whole world is polluted; wandering in duality, it loses its honor. ||2||

ਕਿਆ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਂ ਕਿਆ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਮੈ ਤਾ ਬੂਝ ਪਾਈ
किआ द्रिड़ां किआ संग्रहि तिआगी मै ता बूझ न पाई ॥
Ki▫ā ḏariṛ▫āʼn ki▫ā sangrahi ṯi▫āgī mai ṯā būjẖ na pā▫ī.
What should I grasp? What should I gather up or leave behind? I do not know.

ਹੋਹਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੋ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੩॥
होहि दइआलु क्रिपा करि हरि जीउ नामो होइ सखाई ॥३॥
Hohi ḏa▫i▫āl kirpā kar har jī▫o nāmo ho▫e sakẖā▫ī. ||3||
O Dear Lord, Your Name is the Help and Support of those whom You bless with Your kindness and compassion. ||3||

ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਇ ਲਾਏ
सचा सचु दाता करम बिधाता जिसु भावै तिसु नाइ लाए ॥
Sacẖā sacẖ ḏāṯā karam biḏẖāṯā jis bẖāvai ṯis nā▫e lā▫e.
The True Lord is the True Giver, the Architect of Destiny; as He pleases, He links mortals to the Name.

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੪॥
गुरू दुआरै सोई बूझै जिस नो आपि बुझाए ॥४॥
Gurū ḏu▫ārai so▫ī būjẖai jis no āp bujẖā▫e. ||4||
He alone comes to understand, who enters the Guru's Gate, whom the Lord Himself instructs. ||4||

ਦੇਖਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਵਾ ਗਉਣੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ
देखि बिसमादु इहु मनु नही चेते आवा गउणु संसारा ॥
Ḏekẖ bismāḏ ih man nahī cẖeṯe āvā ga▫oṇ sansārā.
Even gazing upon the wonders of the Lord, this mind does not think of Him. The world comes and goes in reincarnation.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥੫॥
सतिगुरु सेवे सोई बूझै पाए मोख दुआरा ॥५॥
Saṯgur seve so▫ī būjẖai pā▫e mokẖ ḏu▫ārā. ||5||
Serving the True Guru, the mortal comes to understand, and finds the Door of Salvation. ||5||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਦਰੁ ਸੂਝੈ ਸੇ ਕਦੇ ਵਿਗਾੜਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ
जिन्ह दरु सूझै से कदे न विगाड़हि सतिगुरि बूझ बुझाई ॥
Jinĥ ḏar sūjẖai se kaḏe na vigāṛėh saṯgur būjẖ bujẖā▫ī.
Those who understand the Lord's Court, never suffer separation from him. The True Guru has imparted this understanding.

ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੬॥
सचु संजमु करणी किरति कमावहि आवण जाणु रहाई ॥६॥
Sacẖ sanjam karṇī kiraṯ kamāvėh āvaṇ jāṇ rahā▫ī. ||6||
They practice truth, self-restraint and good deeds; their comings and goings are ended. ||6||

ਸੇ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ
से दरि साचै साचु कमावहि जिन गुरमुखि साचु अधारा ॥
Se ḏar sācẖai sācẖ kamāvėh jin gurmukẖ sācẖ aḏẖārā.
In the Court of the True Lord, they practice Truth. The Gurmukhs take the Support of the True Lord.
