ਮਨ ਰਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੩॥
मन रति नामि रते निहकेवल आदि जुगादि दइआला ॥३॥
Man raṯ nām raṯe nihkeval āḏ jugāḏ ḏa▫i▫ālā. ||3||
My mind is imbued with love for the Naam. The Immaculate Lord is merciful, from the beginning of time, and throughout the ages. ||3||

ਮੋਹਨਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੀਆ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ਬਡੈ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ
मोहनि मोहि लीआ मनु मोरा बडै भाग लिव लागी ॥
Mohan mohi lī▫ā man morā badai bẖāg liv lāgī.
My mind is fascinated with the Fascinating Lord. By great good fortune, I am lovingly attuned to Him.

ਸਾਚੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅਨਰਾਗੀ ॥੪॥
साचु बीचारि किलविख दुख काटे मनु निरमलु अनरागी ॥४॥
Sācẖ bīcẖār kilvikẖ ḏukẖ kāte man nirmal anrāgī. ||4||
Contemplating the True Lord, all the resides of sins and mistakes are wiped away. My mind is pure and immaculate in His Love. ||4||

ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਰਤਨਾਗਰ ਅਵਰ ਨਹੀ ਅਨ ਪੂਜਾ
गहिर ग्मभीर सागर रतनागर अवर नही अन पूजा ॥
Gahir gambẖīr sāgar raṯnāgar avar nahī an pūjā.
God is the Deep and Unfathomable Ocean, the Source of all jewels; no other is worthy of worship.

ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਭਰਮ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੫॥
सबदु बीचारि भरम भउ भंजनु अवरु न जानिआ दूजा ॥५॥
Sabaḏ bīcẖār bẖaram bẖa▫o bẖanjan avar na jāni▫ā ḏūjā. ||5||
I contemplate the Shabad, the Destroyer of doubt and fear; I do not know any other at all. ||5||

ਮਨੂਆ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਪਦੁ ਚੀਨਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਰਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਈ
मनूआ मारि निरमल पदु चीनिआ हरि रस रते अधिकाई ॥
Manū▫ā mār nirmal paḏ cẖīni▫ā har ras raṯe aḏẖikā▫ī.
Subduing my mind, I have realized the pure status; I am totally imbued with the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਏਕਸ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੬॥
एकस बिनु मै अवरु न जानां सतिगुरि बूझ बुझाई ॥६॥
Ėkas bin mai avar na jānāʼn saṯgur būjẖ bujẖā▫ī. ||6||
I do not know any other except the Lord. The True Guru has imparted this understanding. ||6||

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਨਾਥੁ ਅਜੋਨੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਨਿਆ
अगम अगोचरु अनाथु अजोनी गुरमति एको जानिआ ॥
Agam agocẖar anāth ajonī gurmaṯ eko jāni▫ā.
God is Inaccessible and Unfathomable, Unmastered and Unborn; through the Guru's Teachings, I know the One Lord.

ਸੁਭਰ ਭਰੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਡੋਲੈ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੭॥
सुभर भरे नाही चितु डोलै मन ही ते मनु मानिआ ॥७॥
Subẖar bẖare nāhī cẖiṯ dolai man hī ṯe man māni▫ā. ||7||
Filled to overflowing, my consciousness does not waver; through the Mind, my mind is pleased and appeased. ||7||

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਅਕਥਉ ਕਥੀਐ ਕਹਉ ਕਹਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ
गुर परसादी अकथउ कथीऐ कहउ कहावै सोई ॥
Gur parsādī aktha▫o kathī▫ai kaha▫o kahāvai so▫ī.
By Guru's Grace, I speak the Unspoken; I speak what He makes me speak.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਅਵਰੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਕੋਈ ॥੮॥੨॥
नानक दीन दइआल हमारे अवरु न जानिआ कोई ॥८॥२॥
Nānak ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl hamāre avar na jāni▫ā ko▫ī. ||8||2||
O Nanak, my Lord is Merciful to the meek; I do not know any other at all. ||8||2||

Sārag mėhlā 3 asatpaḏī▫ā gẖar 1
Saarang, Third Mehl, Ashtapadees, First House:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਾਈ
मन मेरे हरि कै नामि वडाई ॥
Man mere har kai nām vadā▫ī.
O my mind, the Name of the Lord is glorious and great.

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि बिनु अवरु न जाणा कोई हरि कै नामि मुकति गति पाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har bin avar na jāṇā ko▫ī har kai nām mukaṯ gaṯ pā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I know of none, other than the Lord; through the Lord's Name, I have attained liberation and emancipation. ||1||Pause||

ਸਬਦਿ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਜਮਕਾਲ ਨਿਖੰਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ
सबदि भउ भंजनु जमकाल निखंजनु हरि सेती लिव लाई ॥
Sabaḏ bẖa▫o bẖanjan jamkāl nikẖanjan har seṯī liv lā▫ī.
Through the Word of the Shabad, I am lovingly attuned to the Lord, the Destroyer of fear, the Destroyer of the Messenger of Death.

ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥
हरि सुखदाता गुरमुखि जाता सहजे रहिआ समाई ॥१॥
Har sukẖ▫ḏāṯa gurmukẖ jāṯā sėhje rahi▫ā samā▫ī. ||1||
As Gurmukh, I have realized the Lord, the Giver of peace; I remain intuitively absorbed in Him. ||1||

ਭਗਤਾਂ ਕਾ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪੈਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਣੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਡਾਈ
भगतां का भोजनु हरि नाम निरंजनु पैन्हणु भगति बडाई ॥
Bẖagṯāʼn kā bẖojan har nām niranjan painĥaṇ bẖagaṯ badā▫ī.
The Immaculate Name of the Lord is the food of His devotees; they wear the glory of devotional worship.

ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
निज घरि वासा सदा हरि सेवनि हरि दरि सोभा पाई ॥२॥
Nij gẖar vāsā saḏā har sevan har ḏar sobẖā pā▫ī. ||2||
They abide in the home of their inner beings, and they serve the Lord forever; they are honored in the Court of the Lord. ||2||

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬੁਧਿ ਕਾਚੀ ਮਨੂਆ ਡੋਲੈ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥੈ ਕਹਾਨੀ
मनमुख बुधि काची मनूआ डोलै अकथु न कथै कहानी ॥
Manmukẖ buḏẖ kācẖī manū▫ā dolai akath na kathai kahānī.
The intellect of the self-willed manmukh is false; his mind wavers and wobbles, and he cannot speak the Unspoken Speech.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਨੀ ॥੩॥
गुरमति निहचलु हरि मनि वसिआ अम्रित साची बानी ॥३॥
Gurmaṯ nihcẖal har man vasi▫ā amriṯ sācẖī bānī. ||3||
Following the Guru's Teachings, the Eternal Unchanging Lord abides within the mind; the True Word of His Bani is Ambrosial Nectar. ||3||

ਮਨ ਕੇ ਤਰੰਗ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਈ
मन के तरंग सबदि निवारे रसना सहजि सुभाई ॥
Man ke ṯarang sabaḏ nivāre rasnā sahj subẖā▫ī.
The Shabad calms the turbulent waves of the mind; the tongue is intuitively imbued with peace.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਸਦ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥
सतिगुर मिलि रहीऐ सद अपुने जिनि हरि सेती लिव लाई ॥४॥
Saṯgur mil rahī▫ai saḏ apune jin har seṯī liv lā▫ī. ||4||
So remain united forever with your True Guru, who is lovingly attuned to the Lord. ||4||

ਮਨੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਤਾ ਮੁਕਤੋ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ
मनु सबदि मरै ता मुकतो होवै हरि चरणी चितु लाई ॥
Man sabaḏ marai ṯā mukṯo hovai har cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫ī.
If the mortal dies in the Shabad, then he is liberated; he focuses his consciousness on the Lord's Feet.

ਹਰਿ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਜਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਈ ॥੫॥
हरि सरु सागरु सदा जलु निरमलु नावै सहजि सुभाई ॥५॥
Har sar sāgar saḏā jal nirmal nāvai sahj subẖā▫ī. ||5||
The Lord is an Ocean; His Water is Forever Pure. Whoever bathes in it is intuitively imbued with peace. ||5||

ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਮਾਰੀ
सबदु वीचारि सदा रंगि राते हउमै त्रिसना मारी ॥
Sabaḏ vīcẖār saḏā rang rāṯe ha▫umai ṯarisnā mārī.
Those who contemplate the Shabad are forever imbued with His Love; their egotism and desires are subdued.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੬॥
अंतरि निहकेवलु हरि रविआ सभु आतम रामु मुरारी ॥६॥
Anṯar nihkeval har ravi▫ā sabẖ āṯam rām murārī. ||6||
The Pure, Unattached Lord permeates their inner beings; the Lord, the Supreme Soul, is pervading all. ||6||

ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ
सेवक सेवि रहे सचि राते जो तेरै मनि भाणे ॥
Sevak sev rahe sacẖ rāṯe jo ṯerai man bẖāṇe.
Your humble servants serve You, O Lord; those who are imbued with the Truth are pleasing to Your Mind.

ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਗਿ ਝੂਠੀ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਪਛਾਣੇ ॥੭॥
दुबिधा महलु न पावै जगि झूठी गुण अवगण न पछाणे ॥७॥
Ḏubiḏẖā mahal na pāvai jag jẖūṯẖī guṇ avgaṇ na pacẖẖāṇe. ||7||
Those who are involved in duality do not find the Mansion of the Lord's Presence; caught in the false nature of the world, they do not discriminate between merits and demerits. ||7||

ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੁ ਬਾਣੀ
आपे मेलि लए अकथु कथीऐ सचु सबदु सचु बाणी ॥
Āpe mel la▫e akath kathī▫ai sacẖ sabaḏ sacẖ baṇī.
When the Lord merges us into Himself, we speak the Unspoken Speech; True is the Shabad, and True is the Word of His Bani.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥੮॥੧॥
नानक साचे सचि समाणे हरि का नामु वखाणी ॥८॥१॥
Nānak sācẖe sacẖ samāṇe har kā nām vakẖāṇī. ||8||1||
O Nanak, the true people are absorbed in the Truth; they chant the Name of the Lord. ||8||1||

Saarang, Third Mehl:

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਤਿ ਮੀਠਾ
मन मेरे हरि का नामु अति मीठा ॥
Man mere har kā nām aṯ mīṯẖā.
O my mind, the Name of the Lord is supremely sweet.
