ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਤ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਰੇਸਟ ਪੂਰੀ ॥
सोधत सोधत ततु बीचारिओ भगति सरेसट पूरी ॥
Soḏẖaṯ soḏẖaṯ ṯaṯ bīcẖāri▫o bẖagaṯ saresat pūrī.
Searching and searching, I have realized the essence of reality: devotional worship is the most sublime fulfillment.

Kaho Nānak ik rām nām bin avar sagal biḏẖ ūrī. ||2||62||85||
Says Nanak, without the Name of the One Lord, all other ways are imperfect. ||2||62||85||

ਸਾਚੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ॥
साचे सतिगुरू दातारा ॥
Sācẖe saṯgurū ḏāṯārā.
The True Guru is the True Giver.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दरसनु देखि सगल दुख नासहि चरन कमल बलिहारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏarsan ḏekẖ sagal ḏukẖ nāsėh cẖaran kamal balihārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all my pains are dispelled. I am a sacrifice to His Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਸਤਿ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
सति परमेसरु सति साध जन निहचलु हरि का नाउ ॥
Saṯ parmesar saṯ sāḏẖ jan nihcẖal har kā nā▫o.
The Supreme Lord God is True, and True are the Holy Saints; the Name of the Lord is steady and stable.

ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥
भगति भावनी पारब्रहम की अबिनासी गुण गाउ ॥१॥
Bẖagaṯ bẖāvnī pārbarahm kī abẖināsī guṇ gā▫o. ||1||
So worship the Imperishable, Supreme Lord God with love, and sing His Glorious Praises. ||1||

ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
अगमु अगोचरु मिति नही पाईऐ सगल घटा आधारु ॥
Agam agocẖar miṯ nahī pā▫ī▫ai sagal gẖatā āḏẖār.
The limits of the Inaccessible, Unfathomable Lord cannot be found; He is the Support of all hearts.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਹੁ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੬੩॥੮੬॥
नानक वाहु वाहु कहु ता कउ जा का अंतु न पारु ॥२॥६३॥८६॥
Nānak vāhu vāhu kaho ṯā ka▫o jā kā anṯ na pār. ||2||63||86||
O Nanak, chant, "Waaho! Waaho!" to Him, who has no end or limitation. ||2||63||86||

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਬਸੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੈ ॥
गुर के चरन बसे मन मेरै ॥
Gur ke cẖaran base man merai.
The Feet of the Guru abide within my mind.
|
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬਸੈ ਸਭ ਨੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पूरि रहिओ ठाकुरु सभ थाई निकटि बसै सभ नेरै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pūr rahi▫o ṯẖākur sabẖ thā▫ī nikat basai sabẖ nerai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My Lord and Master is permeating and pervading all places; He dwells nearby, close to all. ||1||Pause||

ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
बंधन तोरि राम लिव लाई संतसंगि बनि आई ॥
Banḏẖan ṯor rām liv lā▫ī saṯsang ban ā▫ī.
Breaking my bonds, I have lovingly tuned in to the Lord, and now the Saints are pleased with me.

ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਭਇਓ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਇਛਾ ਸਗਲ ਪੁਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
जनमु पदारथु भइओ पुनीता इछा सगल पुजाई ॥१॥
Janam paḏārath bẖa▫i▫o punīṯā icẖẖā sagal pujā▫ī. ||1||
This precious human life has been sanctified, and all my desires have been fulfilled. ||1||
|
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
जा कउ क्रिपा करहु प्रभ मेरे सो हरि का जसु गावै ॥
Jā ka▫o kirpā karahu parabẖ mere so har kā jas gāvai.
O my God, whoever You bless with Your Mercy - he alone sings Your Glorious Praises.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੬੪॥੮੭॥
आठ पहर गोबिंद गुन गावै जनु नानकु सद बलि जावै ॥२॥६४॥८७॥
Āṯẖ pahar gobinḏ gun gāvai jan Nānak saḏ bal jāvai. ||2||64||87||
Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to that person who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, twenty-four hours a day. ||2||64||87||

ਜੀਵਨੁ ਤਉ ਗਨੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਪੇਖਾ ॥
जीवनु तउ गनीऐ हरि पेखा ॥
Jīvan ṯa▫o ganī▫ai har pekẖā.
A person is judged to be alive, only if he sees the Lord.

ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਫੋਰਿ ਭਰਮ ਕੀ ਰੇਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करहु क्रिपा प्रीतम मनमोहन फोरि भरम की रेखा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karahu kirpā parīṯam manmohan for bẖaram kī rekẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Please be merciful to me, O my Enticing Beloved Lord, and erase the record of my doubts. ||1||Pause||

ਕਹਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਨ ਉਪਜਤ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਿਸਾਸ ਕਿਆ ਸੇਖਾਂ ॥
कहत सुनत किछु सांति न उपजत बिनु बिसास किआ सेखां ॥
Kahaṯ sunaṯ kicẖẖ sāʼnṯ na upjaṯ bin bisās ki▫ā sekẖāʼn.
By speaking and listening, tranquility and peace are not found at all. What can anyone learn without faith?

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਆਨ ਜੋ ਚਾਹਤ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਕਾਲੇਖਾ ॥੧॥
प्रभू तिआगि आन जो चाहत ता कै मुखि लागै कालेखा ॥१॥
Parabẖū ṯi▫āg ān jo cẖāhaṯ ṯā kai mukẖ lāgai kālekẖā. ||1||
One who renounces God and longs for another - his face is blackened with filth. ||1||
|
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਾਸਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਨ ਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਭੇਖਾ ॥
जा कै रासि सरब सुख सुआमी आन न मानत भेखा ॥
Jā kai rās sarab sukẖ su▫āmī ān na mānaṯ bẖekẖā.
One who is blessed with the wealth of our Lord and Master, the Embodiment of Peace, does not believe in any other religious doctrine.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸ ਮਗਨ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਸੇਖਾ ॥੨॥੬੫॥੮੮॥
नानक दरस मगन मनु मोहिओ पूरन अरथ बिसेखा ॥२॥६५॥८८॥
Nānak ḏaras magan man mohi▫o pūran arath bisekẖā. ||2||65||88||
O Nanak, one whose mind is fascinated and intoxicated with the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan - his tasks are perfectly accomplished. ||2||65||88||

ਸਿਮਰਨ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਇਕੁ ਨਾਮ ॥
सिमरन राम को इकु नाम ॥
Simran rām ko ik nām.
Meditate in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the One Lord.

ਕਲਮਲ ਦਗਧ ਹੋਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਦਾਨ ਇਸਨਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
कलमल दगध होहि खिन अंतरि कोटि दान इसनान ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kalmal ḏagaḏẖ hohi kẖin anṯar kot ḏān isnān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In this way, the sins of your past mistakes shall be burnt off in an instant. It is like giving millions in charity, and bathing at sacred shrines of pilgrimage. ||1||Pause||

ਆਨ ਜੰਜਾਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਘਾਲਤ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਫੋਕਟ ਗਿਆਨ ॥
आन जंजार ब्रिथा स्रमु घालत बिनु हरि फोकट गिआन ॥
Ān janjār baritha saram gẖālaṯ bin har fokat gi▫ān.
Entangled in other affairs, the mortal suffers uselessly in sorrow. Without the Lord, wisdom is useless.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਭਜਨ ਸੁਖ ਧਿਆਨ ॥੧॥
जनम मरन संकट ते छूटै जगदीस भजन सुख धिआन ॥१॥
Janam maran sankat ṯe cẖẖūtai jagḏīs bẖajan sukẖ ḏẖi▫ān. ||1||
The mortal is freed of the anguish of death and birth, meditating and vibrating on the Blissful Lord of the Universe. ||1||
|
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦਾਨ ॥
तेरी सरनि पूरन सुख सागर करि किरपा देवहु दान ॥
Ŧerī saran pūran sukẖ sāgar kar kirpā ḏevhu ḏān.
I seek Your Sanctuary, O Perfect Lord, Ocean of Peace. Please be merciful, and bless me with this gift.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਵੈ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ॥੨॥੬੬॥੮੯॥
सिमरि सिमरि नानक प्रभ जीवै बिनसि जाइ अभिमान ॥२॥६६॥८९॥
Simar simar Nānak parabẖ jīvai binas jā▫e abẖimān. ||2||66||89||
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on God, Nanak lives; his egotistical pride has been eradicated. ||2||66||89||

ਧੂਰਤੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਿ ਧੁਰ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
धूरतु सोई जि धुर कउ लागै ॥
Ḏẖūraṯ so▫ī jė ḏẖur ka▫o lāgai.
He alone is a Dhoorat, who is attached to the Primal Lord God.

ਸੋਈ ਧੁਰੰਧਰੁ ਸੋਈ ਬਸੁੰਧਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਪਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सोई धुरंधरु सोई बसुंधरु हरि एक प्रेम रस पागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
So▫ī ḏẖuranḏẖar so▫ī basunḏẖar har ek parem ras pāgai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He alone is a Dhurandhar, and he alone is a Basundhar, who is absorbed in the sublime essence of Love of the One Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਬਲਬੰਚ ਕਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਲਾਭੈ ਸੋ ਧੂਰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ॥
बलबंच करै न जानै लाभै सो धूरतु नही मूड़्हा ॥
Balbancẖ karai na jānai lābẖai so ḏẖūraṯ nahī mūṛĥā.
One who practices deception and does not know where true profit lies is not a Dhoorat - he is a fool.

ਸੁਆਰਥੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਅਸਾਰਥਿ ਰਚਿਓ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰੂੜਾ ॥੧॥
सुआरथु तिआगि असारथि रचिओ नह सिमरै प्रभु रूड़ा ॥१॥
Su▫ārath ṯi▫āg asārath racẖi▫o nah simrai parabẖ rūṛā. ||1||
He abandons profitable enterprises and is involved in unprofitable ones. He does not meditate on the Beauteous Lord God. ||1||
|
ਸੋਈ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਸੋ ਸੂਰਾ ਸੋ ਦਾਨਾਂ ॥
सोई चतुरु सिआणा पंडितु सो सूरा सो दानां ॥
So▫ī cẖaṯur si▫āṇā pandiṯ so sūrā so ḏānāʼn.
He alone is clever and wise and a religious scholar, he alone is a brave warrior, and he alone is intelligent,

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ॥੨॥੬੭॥੯੦॥
साधसंगि जिनि हरि हरि जपिओ नानक सो परवाना ॥२॥६७॥९०॥
Sāḏẖsang jin har har japi▫o Nānak so parvānā. ||2||67||90||
who chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. O Nanak, he alone is approved. ||2||67||90||
