ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਸਰਬਾਂਗੈ ॥
गुण निधान मनमोहन लालन सुखदाई सरबांगै ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān manmohan lālan sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī sarbāʼngai.
The Treasure of Virtue, the Enticer of the mind, my Beloved is the Giver of peace to all.

ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਓ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਖਾ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੮॥
गुरि नानक प्रभ पाहि पठाइओ मिलहु सखा गलि लागै ॥२॥५॥२८॥
Gur Nānak parabẖ pāhi paṯẖā▫i▫o milhu sakẖā gal lāgai. ||2||5||28||
Guru Nanak has led me to You, O God. Join with me, O my Best Friend, and hold me close in Your Embrace. ||2||5||28||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਬ ਮੋਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾਂ ॥
अब मोरो ठाकुर सिउ मनु मानां ॥
Ab moro ṯẖākur si▫o man mānāʼn.
Now my mind is pleased and appeased by my Lord and Master.

ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਇਹੁ ਛੇਦਿਓ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
साध क्रिपाल दइआल भए है इहु छेदिओ दुसटु बिगाना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sāḏẖ kirpāl ḏa▫i▫āl bẖa▫e hai ih cẖẖeḏi▫o ḏusat bigānā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Holy Saint has become kind and compassionate to me, and has destroyed this demon of duality. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸਿਆਨੇ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੁਘਰ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥
तुम ही सुंदर तुमहि सिआने तुम ही सुघर सुजाना ॥
Ŧum hī sunḏar ṯumėh si▫āne ṯum hī sugẖar sujānā.
You are so beautiful, and You are so wise; You are elegant and all-knowing.

ਸਗਲ ਜੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥
सगल जोग अरु गिआन धिआन इक निमख न कीमति जानां ॥१॥
Sagal jog ar gi▫ān ḏẖi▫ān ik nimakẖ na kīmaṯ jānāʼn. ||1||
All the Yogis, spiritual teachers and meditators do not know even a bit of Your value. ||1||
|
ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਨਾਇਕ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਹਿ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨਾ ॥
तुम ही नाइक तुम्हहि छत्रपति तुम पूरि रहे भगवाना ॥
Ŧum hī nā▫ik ṯumĥahi cẖẖaṯarpaṯ ṯum pūr rahe bẖagvānā.
You are the Master, You are the Lord under the royal canopy; You are the perfectly pervading Lord God.

ਪਾਵਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾਂ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੯॥
पावउ दानु संत सेवा हरि नानक सद कुरबानां ॥२॥६॥२९॥
Pāva▫o ḏān sanṯ sevā har Nānak saḏ kurbānāʼn. ||2||6||29||
Please bless me with the gift of service to the Saints; O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||6||29||

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
मेरै मनि चीति आए प्रिअ रंगा ॥
Merai man cẖīṯ ā▫e pari▫a rangā.
The Love of my Beloved comes into my conscious mind.

ਬਿਸਰਿਓ ਧੰਧੁ ਬੰਧੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੋ ਰਜਨਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਜੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
बिसरिओ धंधु बंधु माइआ को रजनि सबाई जंगा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bisri▫o ḏẖanḏẖ banḏẖ mā▫i▫ā ko rajan sabā▫ī jangā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I have forgotten the entangling affairs of Maya, and I spend my life-night fighting with evil. ||1||Pause||
|
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਤਸੰਗਾ ॥
हरि सेवउ हरि रिदै बसावउ हरि पाइआ सतसंगा ॥
Har seva▫o har riḏai basāva▫o har pā▫i▫ā saṯsangā.
I serve the Lord; the Lord abides within my heart. I have found my Lord in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.

ਐਸੋ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਨੋਹਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਮੁਖ ਮੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
ऐसो मिलिओ मनोहरु प्रीतमु सुख पाए मुख मंगा ॥१॥
Aiso mili▫o manohar parīṯam sukẖ pā▫e mukẖ mangā. ||1||
So I have met with my enticingly beautiful Beloved; I have obtained the peace which I asked for. ||1||

ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਅਪਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਬਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਭੋਗਉ ਭੋਗ ਨਿਸੰਗਾ ॥
प्रिउ अपना गुरि बसि करि दीना भोगउ भोग निसंगा ॥
Pari▫o apnā gur bas kar ḏīnā bẖoga▫o bẖog nisangā.
The Guru has brought my Beloved under my control, and I enjoy Him with unrestrained pleasure.

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਠੰਗਾ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੦॥
निरभउ भए नानक भउ मिटिआ हरि पाइओ पाठंगा ॥२॥७॥३०॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e Nānak bẖa▫o miti▫ā har pā▫i▫o fāṯẖangā. ||2||7||30||
I have become fearless; O Nanak, my fears have been eradicated. Chanting the Word, I have found the Lord. ||2||7||30||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥
हरि जीउ के दरसन कउ कुरबानी ॥
Har jī▫o ke ḏarsan ka▫o kurbānī.
I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of my Dear Lord.

ਬਚਨ ਨਾਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ੍ਰਵਨਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
बचन नाद मेरे स्रवनहु पूरे देहा प्रिअ अंकि समानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bacẖan nāḏ mere saravnahu pūre ḏehā pari▫a ank samānī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Naad, the Sound-current of His Word fills my ears; my body has settled gently into the Lap of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||

ਛੂਟਰਿ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਸੋੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਨੀ ॥
छूटरि ते गुरि कीई सोहागनि हरि पाइओ सुघड़ सुजानी ॥
Cẖẖūtar ṯe gur kī▫ī sohāgan har pā▫i▫o sugẖaṛ sujānī.
I was a discarded bride, and the Guru has made me a happy soul-bride. I have found the Elegant and All-knowing Lord.

ਜਿਹ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਸਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵਤ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਬਾਸਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
जिह घर महि बैसनु नही पावत सो थानु मिलिओ बासानी ॥१॥
Jih gẖar mėh baisan nahī pāvaṯ so thān mili▫o bāsānī. ||1||
That home, in which I was not even allowed to sit - I have found that place in which I can dwell. ||1||
|
ਉਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੈ ਬਸਿ ਆਇਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਛਲੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਆਨ ਸੰਤਾਨੀ ॥
उन्ह कै बसि आइओ भगति बछलु जिनि राखी आन संतानी ॥
Unĥ kai bas ā▫i▫o bẖagaṯ bacẖẖal jin rākẖī ān sanṯānī.
God, the Love of His devotees, has come under the control of those who protect the honor of His Saints.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਲੋੁਕਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੧॥
कहु नानक हरि संगि मनु मानिआ सभ चूकी काणि लोकानी ॥२॥८॥३१॥
Kaho Nānak har sang man māni▫ā sabẖ cẖūkī kāṇ lokānī. ||2||8||31||
Says Nanak, my mid is pleased and appeased with the Lord, and my subservience to other people has come to an end. ||2||8||31||

ਅਬ ਮੇਰੋ ਪੰਚਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਗੁ ਤੂਟਾ ॥
अब मेरो पंचा ते संगु तूटा ॥
Ab mero pancẖā ṯe sang ṯūtā.
Now my association with the five thieves has come to an end.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਏ ਮਨਿ ਆਨਦ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दरसनु देखि भए मनि आनद गुर किरपा ते छूटा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏarsan ḏekẖ bẖa▫e man ānaḏ gur kirpā ṯe cẖẖūtā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my mind is in ecstasy; by Guru's Grace, I am released. ||1||Pause||

ਬਿਖਮ ਥਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹੁ ਧਰੀਆ ਅਨਿਕ ਰਾਖ ਸੂਰੂਟਾ ॥
बिखम थान बहुत बहु धरीआ अनिक राख सूरूटा ॥
Bikẖam thān bahuṯ baho ḏẖarī▫ā anik rākẖ sūrūtā.
The impregnable place is guarded by countless ramparts and warriors.

ਬਿਖਮ ਗਾਰ੍ਹ ਕਰੁ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਸਾਨਥ ਭਏ ਲੂਟਾ ॥੧॥
बिखम गार्ह करु पहुचै नाही संत सानथ भए लूटा ॥१॥
Bikẖam gārah kar pahucẖai nāhī sanṯ sānath bẖa▫e lūtā. ||1||
This impregnable fortress cannot be touched, but with the assistance of the Saints, I have entered and robbed it. ||1||
|
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਾਲੈ ਪਰਿਆ ਅਮੋਲ ਲਾਲ ਆਖੂਟਾ ॥
बहुतु खजाने मेरै पालै परिआ अमोल लाल आखूटा ॥
Bahuṯ kẖajāne merai pālai pari▫ā amol lāl ākẖūtā.
I have found such a great treasure, a priceless, inexhaustible supply of jewels.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਘੂਟਾ ॥੨॥੯॥੩੨॥
जन नानक प्रभि किरपा धारी तउ मन महि हरि रसु घूटा ॥२॥९॥३२॥
Jan Nānak parabẖ kirpā ḏẖārī ṯa▫o man mėh har ras gẖūtā. ||2||9||32||
O servant Nanak, when God showered His Mercy on me, my mind drank in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2||9||32||

Now my mind is absorbed in my Lord and Master.

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਦਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੀਆ ਉਰਝਾਇਓ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
प्रान दानु गुरि पूरै दीआ उरझाइओ जिउ जल मीना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Parān ḏān gur pūrai ḏī▫ā urjẖā▫i▫o ji▫o jal mīnā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Perfect Guru has blessed me with the gift of the breath of life. I am involved with the Lord, like the fish with the water. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਇਹ ਅਰਪਿ ਸਗਲ ਦਾਨੁ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
काम क्रोध लोभ मद मतसर इह अरपि सगल दानु कीना ॥
Kām kroḏẖ lobẖ maḏ maṯsar ih arap sagal ḏān kīnā.
I have cast out sexual desire, anger, greed, egotism and envy; I have offered all this as a gift.

ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਤਉ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
मंत्र द्रिड़ाइ हरि अउखधु गुरि दीओ तउ मिलिओ सगल प्रबीना ॥१॥
Manṯar driṛ▫ā▫e har a▫ukẖaḏẖ gur ḏī▫o ṯa▫o mili▫o sagal parbīnā. ||1||
The Guru has implanted the medicine of the Lord's Mantra within me, and I have met with the All-knowing Lord God. ||1||
|
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਉ ਖੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
ग्रिहु तेरा तू ठाकुरु मेरा गुरि हउ खोई प्रभु दीना ॥
Garihu ṯerā ṯū ṯẖākur merā gur ha▫o kẖo▫ī parabẖ ḏīnā.
My household belongs to You, O my Lord and Master; the Guru has blessed me with God, and rid me of egotism.
