ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮੋਹਨ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਕਰਉ ਜੋਦਰੀਆ ॥
मोहन घरि आवहु करउ जोदरीआ ॥
Mohan gẖar āvhu kara▫o joḏrī▫ā.
O my Fascinating Lord, I pray to You: come into my house.

ਮਾਨੁ ਕਰਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੈ ਬੋਲਉ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਚਿਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
मानु करउ अभिमानै बोलउ भूल चूक तेरी प्रिअ चिरीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mān kara▫o abẖimānai bola▫o bẖūl cẖūk ṯerī pari▫a cẖirī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I act in pride, and speak in pride. I am mistaken and wrong, but I am still Your hand-maiden, O my Beloved. ||1||Pause||

ਨਿਕਟਿ ਸੁਨਉ ਅਰੁ ਪੇਖਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਦੁਖ ਭਰੀਆ ॥
निकटि सुनउ अरु पेखउ नाही भरमि भरमि दुख भरीआ ॥
Nikat sun▫o ar pekẖa▫o nāhī bẖaram bẖaram ḏukẖ bẖarī▫ā.
I hear that You are near, but I cannot see You. I wander in suffering, deluded by doubt.

ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਰ ਲਾਹਿ ਪਾਰਦੋ ਮਿਲਉ ਲਾਲ ਮਨੁ ਹਰੀਆ ॥੧॥
होइ क्रिपाल गुर लाहि पारदो मिलउ लाल मनु हरीआ ॥१॥
Ho▫e kirpāl gur lāhi pārḏo mila▫o lāl man harī▫ā. ||1||
The Guru has become merciful to me; He has removed the veils. Meeting with my Beloved, my mind blossoms forth in abundance. ||1||

ਏਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਜੇ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਾਨਉ ਕੋਟਿ ਦਿਨਸ ਲਖ ਬਰੀਆ ॥
एक निमख जे बिसरै सुआमी जानउ कोटि दिनस लख बरीआ ॥
Ėk nimakẖ je bisrai su▫āmī jān▫o kot ḏinas lakẖ barī▫ā.
If I were to forget my Lord and Master, even for an instant, it would be like millions of days, tens of thousands of years.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਭੀਰ ਜਉ ਪਾਈ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਰੀਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥
साधसंगति की भीर जउ पाई तउ नानक हरि संगि मिरीआ ॥२॥१॥२४॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ kī bẖīr ja▫o pā▫ī ṯa▫o Nānak har sang mirī▫ā. ||2||1||24||
When I joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, I met my Lord. ||2||1||24||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਸੋਚਉ ਸੋਚ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ ॥
अब किआ सोचउ सोच बिसारी ॥
Ab ki▫ā socẖa▫o socẖ bisārī.
Now what should I think? I have given up thinking.
|
ਕਰਣਾ ਸਾ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करणा सा सोई करि रहिआ देहि नाउ बलिहारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karṇā sā so▫ī kar rahi▫ā ḏėh nā▫o balihārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You do whatever You wish to do. Please bless me with Your Name - I am a sacrifice to You. ||1||Pause||

ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸ ਫੂਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੂਖਿ ਗਰੁੜਾਰੀ ॥
चहु दिस फूलि रही बिखिआ बिखु गुर मंत्रु मूखि गरुड़ारी ॥
Cẖahu ḏis fūl rahī bikẖi▫ā bikẖ gur manṯar mūkẖ garuṛārī.
The poison of corruption is flowering forth in the four directions; I have taken the GurMantra as my antidote.

ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕਮਲਾ ਅਲਿਪਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
हाथ देइ राखिओ करि अपुना जिउ जल कमला अलिपारी ॥१॥
Hāth ḏe▫e rākẖi▫o kar apunā ji▫o jal kamlā alipārī. ||1||
Giving me His Hand, He has saved me as His Own; like the lotus in the water, I remain unattached. ||1||
|
ਹਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਸਾ ਸਭ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
हउ नाही किछु मै किआ होसा सभ तुम ही कल धारी ॥
Ha▫o nāhī kicẖẖ mai ki▫ā hosā sabẖ ṯum hī kal ḏẖārī.
I am nothing. What am I? You hold all in Your Power.

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਰਾਖੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਕਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
नानक भागि परिओ हरि पाछै राखु संत सदकारी ॥२॥२॥२५॥
Nānak bẖāg pari▫o har pācẖẖai rākẖ sanṯ saḏkārī. ||2||2||25||
Nanak has run to Your Sanctuary, Lord; please save him, for the sake of Your Saints. ||2||2||25||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਵ ਬਿਰਕਾਤੇ ॥
अब मोहि सरब उपाव बिरकाते ॥
Ab mohi sarab upāv birkāṯe.
Now I have abandoned all efforts and devices.
|
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करण कारण समरथ सुआमी हरि एकसु ते मेरी गाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karaṇ kāraṇ samrath su▫āmī har ekas ṯe merī gāṯe. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My Lord and Master is the All-powerful Creator, the Cause of causes, my only Saving Grace. ||1||Pause||

ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗਾ ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਂਤੇ ॥
देखे नाना रूप बहु रंगा अन नाही तुम भांते ॥
Ḏekẖe nānā rūp baho rangā an nāhī ṯum bẖāʼnṯe.
I have seen numerous forms of incomparable beauty, but nothing is like You.

ਦੇਂਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥
देंहि अधारु सरब कउ ठाकुर जीअ प्रान सुखदाते ॥१॥
Ḏeʼnhi aḏẖār sarab ka▫o ṯẖākur jī▫a parān sukẖ▫ḏāṯe. ||1||
You give Your Support to all, O my Lord and Master; You are the Giver of peace, of the soul and the breath of life. ||1||
|
ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਹਾਰਿ ਜਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥
भ्रमतौ भ्रमतौ हारि जउ परिओ तउ गुर मिलि चरन पराते ॥
Bẖarmaṯou bẖarmaṯou hār ja▫o pari▫o ṯa▫o gur mil cẖaran parāṯe.
Wandering, wandering, I grew so tired; meeting the Guru, I fell at His Feet.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਸੂਖਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥
कहु नानक मै सरब सुखु पाइआ इह सूखि बिहानी राते ॥२॥३॥२६॥
Kaho Nānak mai sarab sukẖ pā▫i▫ā ih sūkẖ bihānī rāṯe. ||2||3||26||
Says Nanak, I have found total peace; this life-night of mine passes in peace. ||2||3||26||

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਬਧਿਓ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕਾ ॥
अब मोहि लबधिओ है हरि टेका ॥
Ab mohi labḏẖi▫o hai har tekā.
Now I have found the Support of my Lord.
|
ਗੁਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਅੰਧੁਲੈ ਮਾਣਿਕੁ ਦੇਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुर दइआल भए सुखदाई अंधुलै माणिकु देखा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur ḏa▫i▫āl bẖa▫e sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī anḏẖulai māṇik ḏekẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Guru, the Giver of peace, has become merciful to me. I was blind - I see the jewel of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਟੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਤਿਮਰ ਨਿਰਮਲੀਆ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਗਾਸ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥
काटे अगिआन तिमर निरमलीआ बुधि बिगास बिबेका ॥
Kāte agi▫ān ṯimar nirmalī▫ā buḏẖ bigās bibekā.
I have cut away the darkness of ignorance and become immaculate; my discriminating intellect has blossomed forth.

ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਫੇਨੁ ਜਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਏ ਏਕਾ ॥੧॥
जिउ जल तरंग फेनु जल होई है सेवक ठाकुर भए एका ॥१॥
Ji▫o jal ṯarang fen jal ho▫ī hai sevak ṯẖākur bẖa▫e ekā. ||1||
As the waves of water and the foam become water again, the Lord and His servant become One. ||1||
|
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਠਿਓ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਆਇਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਏਕਾ ॥
जह ते उठिओ तह ही आइओ सभ ही एकै एका ॥
Jah ṯe uṯẖi▫o ṯah hī ā▫i▫o sabẖ hī ekai ekā.
He is taken in again, into what from which he came; all is one in the One Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਆਇਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਪਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਮਕਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੭॥
नानक द्रिसटि आइओ स्रब ठाई प्राणपती हरि समका ॥२॥४॥२७॥
Nānak ḏarisat ā▫i▫o sarab ṯẖā▫ī parāṇpaṯī har samkā. ||2||4||27||
O Nanak, I have come to see the Master of the breath of life, all-pervading everywhere. ||2||4||27||

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਏਕੈ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮਾਂਗੈ ॥
मेरा मनु एकै ही प्रिअ मांगै ॥
Merā man ekai hī pari▫a māʼngai.
My mind longs for the One Beloved Lord.

ਪੇਖਿ ਆਇਓ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पेखि आइओ सरब थान देस प्रिअ रोम न समसरि लागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pekẖ ā▫i▫o sarab thān ḏes pari▫a rom na samsar lāgai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I have looked everywhere in every country, but nothing equals even a hair of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||

ਮੈ ਨੀਰੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਰੁਚਾਂਗੈ ॥
मै नीरे अनिक भोजन बहु बिंजन तिन सिउ द्रिसटि न करै रुचांगै ॥
Mai nīre anik bẖojan baho binjan ṯin si▫o ḏarisat na karai rucẖāʼngai.
All sorts of delicacies and dainties are placed before me, but I do not even want to look at them.

ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖਿ ਟੇਰੈ ਜਿਉ ਅਲਿ ਕਮਲਾ ਲੋਭਾਂਗੈ ॥੧॥
हरि रसु चाहै प्रिअ प्रिअ मुखि टेरै जिउ अलि कमला लोभांगै ॥१॥
Har ras cẖāhai pari▫a pari▫a mukẖ terai ji▫o al kamlā lobẖāʼngai. ||1||
I long for the sublime essence of the Lord, calling, "Pri-o! Pri-o! - Beloved! Beloved!", like the Bumble bee longing for the lotus flower. ||1||
