ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਇਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ
खोजत खोजत इहै बीचारिओ सरब सुखा हरि नामा ॥
Kẖojaṯ kẖojaṯ ihai bīcẖāri▫o sarab sukẖā har nāmā.
Searching and searching, I have come to this realization: all peace and bliss are in the Name of the Lord.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਲੇਖੁ ਮਥਾਮਾ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
कहु नानक तिसु भइओ परापति जा कै लेखु मथामा ॥४॥११॥
Kaho Nānak ṯis bẖa▫i▫o parāpaṯ jā kai lekẖ mathāmā. ||4||11||
Says Nanak, he alone receives it, upon whose forehead such destiny is inscribed. ||4||11||

ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ
सारग महला ५ ॥
Sārag mėhlā 5.
Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੀਐ
अनदिनु राम के गुण कहीऐ ॥
An▫ḏin rām ke guṇ kahī▫ai.
Night and day, utter the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਸਗਲ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਸਿਧਿ ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सगल पदारथ सरब सूख सिधि मन बांछत फल लहीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sagal paḏārath sarab sūkẖ siḏẖ man bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal lahī▫ai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You shall obtain all wealth, all pleasures and successes, and the fruits of your mind's desires. ||1||Pause||

ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ
आवहु संत प्रान सुखदाते सिमरह प्रभु अबिनासी ॥
Āvhu sanṯ parān sukẖ▫ḏāṯe simrėh parabẖ abẖināsī.
Come, O Saints, let us meditate in remembrance on God; He is the Eternal, Imperishable Giver of Peace and Praanaa, the Breath of Life.

ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਘਟ ਵਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
अनाथह नाथु दीन दुख भंजन पूरि रहिओ घट वासी ॥१॥
Anāthah nāth ḏīn ḏukẖ bẖanjan pūr rahi▫o gẖat vāsī. ||1||
Master of the masterless, Destroyer of the pains of the meek and the poor; He is All-pervading and permeating, abiding in all hearts. ||1||

ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ਸਰਧਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ
गावत सुनत सुनावत सरधा हरि रसु पी वडभागे ॥
Gāvaṯ sunaṯ sunāvaṯ sarḏẖā har ras pī vadbẖāge.
The very fortunate ones drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord, singing, reciting and listening to the Lord's Praises.

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਜਾਗੇ ॥੨॥
कलि कलेस मिटे सभि तन ते राम नाम लिव जागे ॥२॥
Kal kales mite sabẖ ṯan ṯe rām nām liv jāge. ||2||
All their sufferings and struggles are wiped away from their bodies; they remain lovingly awake and aware in the Name of the Lord. ||2||

ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਤਜਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੂਟੇ
कामु क्रोधु झूठु तजि निंदा हरि सिमरनि बंधन तूटे ॥
Kām kroḏẖ jẖūṯẖ ṯaj ninḏā har simran banḏẖan ṯūte.
So abandon your sexual desire, greed, falsehood and slander; meditating in remembrance on the Lord, you shall be released from bondage.

ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਅਹੰ ਅੰਧ ਮਮਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੇ ॥੩॥
मोह मगन अहं अंध ममता गुर किरपा ते छूटे ॥३॥
Moh magan ahaʼn anḏẖ mamṯā gur kirpā ṯe cẖẖūte. ||3||
The intoxication of loving attachments, egotism and blind possessiveness are eradicated by Guru's Grace. ||3||

ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ
तू समरथु पारब्रहम सुआमी करि किरपा जनु तेरा ॥
Ŧū samrath pārbarahm su▫āmī kar kirpā jan ṯerā.
You are All-powerful, O Supreme Lord God and Master; please be Merciful to Your humble servant.

ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਮਹਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੧੨॥
पूरि रहिओ सरब महि ठाकुरु नानक सो प्रभु नेरा ॥४॥१२॥
Pūr rahi▫o sarab mėh ṯẖākur Nānak so parabẖ nerā. ||4||12||
My Lord and Master is All-pervading and prevailing everywhere; O Nanak, God is Near. ||4||12||

ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ
सारग महला ५ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਚਰਨ
बलिहारी गुरदेव चरन ॥
Balihārī gurḏev cẖaran.
I am a sacrifice to the Feet of the Divine Guru.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਕਰਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जा कै संगि पारब्रहमु धिआईऐ उपदेसु हमारी गति करन ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jā kai sang pārbarahm ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai upḏes hamārī gaṯ karan. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I meditate with Him on the Supreme Lord God; His Teachings have emancipated me. ||1||Pause||

ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਭੈ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਨ
दूख रोग भै सगल बिनासे जो आवै हरि संत सरन ॥
Ḏūkẖ rog bẖai sagal bināse jo āvai har sanṯ saran.
All pains, diseases and fears are erased, for one who comes to the Sanctuary of the Lord's Saints.

ਆਪਿ ਜਪੈ ਅਵਰਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ਵਡ ਸਮਰਥ ਤਾਰਨ ਤਰਨ ॥੧॥
आपि जपै अवरह नामु जपावै वड समरथ तारन तरन ॥१॥
Āp japai avrah nām japāvai vad samrath ṯāran ṯaran. ||1||
He Himself chants, and inspires others to chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord. He is Utterly All-Powerful; He carries us across to the other side. ||1||

ਜਾ ਕੋ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਉਤਾਰੈ ਸਹਸਾ ਊਣੇ ਕਉ ਸੁਭਰ ਭਰਨ
जा को मंत्रु उतारै सहसा ऊणे कउ सुभर भरन ॥
Jā ko manṯar uṯārai sahsā ūṇe ka▫o subẖar bẖaran.
His Mantra drives out cynicism, and totally fills the empty one.

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਾਨਤ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਗਰਭ ਪਰਨ ॥੨॥
हरि दासन की आगिआ मानत ते नाही फुनि गरभ परन ॥२॥
Har ḏāsan kī āgi▫ā mānaṯ ṯe nāhī fun garabẖ paran. ||2||
Those who obey the Order of the Lord's slaves, do not enter into the womb of reincarnation ever again. ||2||

ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਗਾਵਤ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ
भगतन की टहल कमावत गावत दुख काटे ता के जनम मरन ॥
Bẖagṯan kī tahal kamāvaṯ gāvaṯ ḏukẖ kāte ṯā ke janam maran.
Whoever works for the Lord's devotees and sings His Praises - his pains of birth and death are taken away.

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਬੀਠੁਲਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਜਰ ਜਰਨ ॥੩॥
जा कउ भइओ क्रिपालु बीठुला तिनि हरि हरि अजर जरन ॥३॥
Jā ka▫o bẖa▫i▫o kirpāl bīṯẖulā ṯin har har ajar jaran. ||3||
Those unto whom my Beloved becomes Merciful, endure the Unendurable Ecstasy of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਰਸਹਿ ਅਘਾਨੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਬਰਨ
हरि रसहि अघाने सहजि समाने मुख ते नाही जात बरन ॥
Har rasėh agẖāne sahj samāne mukẖ ṯe nāhī jāṯ baran.
Those who are satisfied by the Sublime Essence of the Lord, merge intuitively into the Lord; no mouth can describe their state.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਉਧਰਨ ॥੪॥੧੩॥
गुर प्रसादि नानक संतोखे नामु प्रभू जपि जपि उधरन ॥४॥१३॥
Gur parsāḏ Nānak sanṯokẖe nām parabẖū jap jap uḏẖran. ||4||13||
By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, they are content; chanting and meditating on God's Name, they are saved. ||4||13||

ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ
सारग महला ५ ॥
Sārag mėhlā 5.
Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਗਾਇਓ ਰੀ ਮੈ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਇਓ
गाइओ री मै गुण निधि मंगल गाइओ ॥
Gā▫i▫o rī mai guṇ niḏẖ mangal gā▫i▫o.
I sing, O I sing the Songs of Joy of my Lord, the Treasure of Virtue.

ਭਲੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਭਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਉਸਰ ਜਉ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ਰੀਝਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
भले संजोग भले दिन अउसर जउ गोपालु रीझाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bẖale sanjog bẖale ḏin a▫osar ja▫o gopāl rījẖā▫i▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Fortunate is the time, fortunate is the day and the moment, when I become pleasing to the Lord of the World. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤਹ ਚਰਨ ਮੋਰਲੋ ਮਾਥਾ
संतह चरन मोरलो माथा ॥
Sanṯėh cẖaran morlo māthā.
I touch my forehead to the Feet of the Saints.

ਹਮਰੇ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਸੰਤ ਧਰੇ ਹਾਥਾ ॥੧॥
हमरे मसतकि संत धरे हाथा ॥१॥
Hamre masṯak sanṯ ḏẖare hāthā. ||1||
The Saints have placed their hands on my forehead. ||1||

ਸਾਧਹ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੋਰਲੋ ਮਨੂਆ
साधह मंत्रु मोरलो मनूआ ॥
Sāḏẖah manṯar morlo manū▫ā.
My mind is filled with the Mantra of the Holy Saints,

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਗਤੁ ਹੋਏ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਨੀਆ ॥੨॥
ता ते गतु होए त्रै गुनीआ ॥२॥
Ŧā ṯe gaṯ ho▫e ṯarai gunī▫ā. ||2||
and I have risen above the three qualities||2||

ਭਗਤਹ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨੈਨ ਰੰਗਾ
भगतह दरसु देखि नैन रंगा ॥
Bẖagṯah ḏaras ḏekẖ nain rangā.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of God's devotees, my eyes are filled with love.

ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਤੂਟੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੩॥
लोभ मोह तूटे भ्रम संगा ॥३॥
Lobẖ moh ṯūte bẖaram sangā. ||3||
Greed and attachment are gone, along with doubt. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦਾ
कहु नानक सुख सहज अनंदा ॥
Kaho Nānak sukẖ sahj ananḏā.
Says Nanak, I have found intuitive peace, poise and bliss.

ਖੋਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਭੀਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੪॥੧੪॥
खोल्हि भीति मिले परमानंदा ॥४॥१४॥
Kẖoliĥ bẖīṯ mile parmānanḏā. ||4||14||
Tearing down the wall, I have met the Lord, the Embodiment of Supreme Bliss. ||4||14||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਕੈਸੇ ਕਹਉ ਮੋਹਿ ਜੀਅ ਬੇਦਨਾਈ
कैसे कहउ मोहि जीअ बेदनाई ॥
Kaise kaha▫o mohi jī▫a beḏnā▫ī.
How can I express the pain of my soul?

ਦਰਸਨ ਪਿਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਮਨੁ ਰਹੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਮਕਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
दरसन पिआस प्रिअ प्रीति मनोहर मनु न रहै बहु बिधि उमकाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏarsan pi▫ās pari▫a parīṯ manohar man na rahai baho biḏẖ umkā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am so thirsty for the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of my Enticing and Lovely Beloved. My mind cannot survive - it yearns for Him in so many ways. ||1||Pause||
