ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जपि मन गोविंदु हरि गोविंदु गुणी निधानु सभ स्रिसटि का प्रभो मेरे मन हरि बोलि हरि पुरखु अबिनासी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jap man govinḏ har govinḏ guṇī niḏẖān sabẖ sarisat kā parabẖo mere man har bol har purakẖ abẖināsī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
O my mind, meditate on the Lord of the Universe, the Lord, the Lord of the Universe, the Treasure of Virtue, the God of all creation. O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, the Lord, the Eternal, Imperishable, Primal Lord God. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਸੋ ਪੀਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਸੀ ॥
हरि का नामु अम्रितु हरि हरि हरे सो पीऐ जिसु रामु पिआसी ॥
Har kā nām amriṯ har har hare so pī▫ai jis rām pi▫āsī.
The Name of the Lord is the Ambrosial Nectar, Har, Har, Har. He alone drinks it in, whom the Lord inspires to drink it.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਮੇਲੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਖਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
हरि आपि दइआलु दइआ करि मेलै जिसु सतिगुरू सो जनु हरि हरि अम्रित नामु चखासी ॥१॥
Har āp ḏa▫i▫āl ḏa▫i▫ā kar melai jis saṯgurū so jan har har amriṯ nām cẖakẖāsī. ||1||
The Merciful Lord Himself bestows His Mercy, and He leads the mortal to meet with the True Guru. That humble being tastes the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਦ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਜਾਸੀ ॥
जो जन सेवहि सद सदा मेरा हरि हरे तिन का सभु दूखु भरमु भउ जासी ॥
Jo jan sevėh saḏ saḏā merā har hare ṯin kā sabẖ ḏūkẖ bẖaram bẖa▫o jāsī.
Those who serve my Lord, forever and ever - all their pain, doubt and fear are taken away.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵੈ ਜਿਉ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਜਲਿ ਪੀਐ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੀ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੨॥
जनु नानकु नामु लए तां जीवै जिउ चात्रिकु जलि पीऐ त्रिपतासी ॥२॥५॥१२॥
Jan Nānak nām la▫e ṯāʼn jīvai ji▫o cẖāṯrik jal pī▫ai ṯaripṯāsī. ||2||5||12||
Servant Nanak chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and so he lives, like the song-bird, which is satisfied only by drinking in the water. ||2||5||12||

Saarang, Fourth Mehl:

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਸਿਰੀ ਰਾਮੁ ॥
जपि मन सिरी रामु ॥
Jap man sirī rām.
O my mind, meditate on the Supreme Lord.
|
ਰਾਮ ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮੁ ॥
राम रमत रामु ॥
Rām ramaṯ rām.
The Lord, the Lord is All-pervading.
|
ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ॥
सति सति रामु ॥
Saṯ saṯ rām.
True, True is the Lord.
|
ਬੋਲਹੁ ਭਈਆ ਸਦ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
बोलहु भईआ सद राम रामु रामु रवि रहिआ सरबगे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bolhu bẖa▫ī▫ā saḏ rām rām rām rav rahi▫ā sarabge. ||1|| rahā▫o.
O Siblings of Destiny, chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam, forever. He is All-pervading everywhere. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਮੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਭੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਭਤੁ ਜਗੇ ॥
रामु आपे आपि आपे सभु करता रामु आपे आपि आपि सभतु जगे ॥
Rām āpe āp āpe sabẖ karṯā rām āpe āp āp sabẖaṯ jage.
The Lord Himself is Himself the Creator of all. The Lord Himself is Himself pervading the whole world.

ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥
जिसु आपि क्रिपा करे मेरा राम राम राम राइ सो जनु राम नाम लिव लागे ॥१॥
Jis āp kirpā kare merā rām rām rām rā▫e so jan rām nām liv lāge. ||1||
That person, upon whom my Sovereign Lord King, Raam, Raam, Raam, bestows His Mercy - that person is lovingly attuned to the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਜੋ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਅਗੇ ॥
राम नाम की उपमा देखहु हरि संतहु जो भगत जनां की पति राखै विचि कलिजुग अगे ॥
Rām nām kī upmā ḏekẖhu har sanṯahu jo bẖagaṯ janāʼn kī paṯ rākẖai vicẖ kalijug age.
O Saints of the Lord, behold the Glory of the Name of the Lord; His Name saves the honor of His humble devotees in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਅੰਗੁ ਕੀਆ ਮੇਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਦੁਸਮਨ ਦੂਖ ਗਏ ਸਭਿ ਭਗੇ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੩॥
जन नानक का अंगु कीआ मेरै राम राइ दुसमन दूख गए सभि भगे ॥२॥६॥१३॥
Jan Nānak kā ang kī▫ā merai rām rā▫e ḏusman ḏūkẖ ga▫e sabẖ bẖage. ||2||6||13||
My Sovereign Lord King has taken servant Nanak's side; his enemies and attackers have all run away. ||2||6||13||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
सतिगुर मूरति कउ बलि जाउ ॥
Saṯgur mūraṯ ka▫o bal jā▫o.
I am a sacrifice to the Image of the True Guru.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਿਆਸ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕੀ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਦਿ ਪਾਂਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अंतरि पिआस चात्रिक जिउ जल की सफल दरसनु कदि पांउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Anṯar pi▫ās cẖāṯrik ji▫o jal kī safal ḏarsan kaḏ pāʼn▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My inner being is filled with a great thirst, like that of the song-bird for water. When shall I find the Fruitful Vision of His Darshan? ||1||Pause||

ਅਨਾਥਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਥੁ ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
अनाथा को नाथु सरब प्रतिपालकु भगति वछलु हरि नाउ ॥
Anāthā ko nāth sarab parṯipālak bẖagaṯ vacẖẖal har nā▫o.
He is the Master of the masterless, the Cherisher of all. He is the Lover of the devotees of His Name.

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਰਾਖੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਸਰਾਉ ॥੧॥
जा कउ कोइ न राखै प्राणी तिसु तू देहि असराउ ॥१॥
Jā ka▫o ko▫e na rākẖai parāṇī ṯis ṯū ḏėh asrā▫o. ||1||
That mortal, whom no one can protect - You bless him with Your Support, O Lord. ||1||

ਨਿਧਰਿਆ ਧਰ ਨਿਗਤਿਆ ਗਤਿ ਨਿਥਾਵਿਆ ਤੂ ਥਾਉ ॥
निधरिआ धर निगतिआ गति निथाविआ तू थाउ ॥
Niḏẖri▫ā ḏẖar nigṯi▫ā gaṯ nithāvi▫ā ṯū thā▫o.
Support of the unsupported, Saving Grace of the unsaved, Home of the homeless.

ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਜਾਂਉ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੂ ਸੰਗੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਉ ॥੨॥
दह दिस जांउ तहां तू संगे तेरी कीरति करम कमाउ ॥२॥
Ḏah ḏis jāʼn▫o ṯahāʼn ṯū sange ṯerī kīraṯ karam kamā▫o. ||2||
Wherever I go in the ten directions, You are there with me. The only thing I do is sing the Kirtan of Your Praises. ||2||
|
ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਲਾਖ ਲਾਖ ਤੇ ਏਕਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਾਉ ॥
एकसु ते लाख लाख ते एका तेरी गति मिति कहि न सकाउ ॥
Ėkas ṯe lākẖ lākẖ ṯe ekā ṯerī gaṯ miṯ kahi na sakā▫o.
From Your Oneness, You become tens of thousands, and from tens of thousands, You become One. I cannot describe Your state and extent.

ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਿਖਾਉ ॥੩॥
तू बेअंतु तेरी मिति नही पाईऐ सभु तेरो खेलु दिखाउ ॥३॥
Ŧū be▫anṯ ṯerī miṯ nahī pā▫ī▫ai sabẖ ṯero kẖel ḏikẖā▫o. ||3||
You are Infinite - Your value cannot be appraised. Everything I see is Your play. ||3||
|
ਸਾਧਨ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਸਾਧ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਉ ॥
साधन का संगु साध सिउ गोसटि हरि साधन सिउ लिव लाउ ॥
Sāḏẖan kā sang sāḏẖ si▫o gosat har sāḏẖan si▫o liv lā▫o.
I speak with the Company of the Holy; I am in love with the Holy people of the Lord.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ॥੪॥੧॥
जन नानक पाइआ है गुरमति हरि देहु दरसु मनि चाउ ॥४॥१॥
Jan Nānak pā▫i▫ā hai gurmaṯ har ḏeh ḏaras man cẖā▫o. ||4||1||
Servant Nanak has found the Lord through the Guru's Teachings; please bless me with Your Blessed Vision; O Lord, my mind yearns for it. ||4||1||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨ ॥
हरि जीउ अंतरजामी जान ॥
Har jī▫o anṯarjāmī jān.
The Dear Lord is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
|
ਕਰਤ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਤੇ ਛਪਾਈ ਸਾਖੀ ਭੂਤ ਪਵਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करत बुराई मानुख ते छपाई साखी भूत पवान ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karaṯ burā▫ī mānukẖ ṯe cẖẖapā▫ī sākẖī bẖūṯ pavān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The mortal does evil deeds, and hides from others, but like the air, the Lord is present everywhere. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬੈਸਨੌ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤ ਖਟ ਕਰਮਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭ ਜੂਠਾਨ ॥
बैसनौ नामु करत खट करमा अंतरि लोभ जूठान ॥
Baisnou nām karaṯ kẖat karmā anṯar lobẖ jūṯẖān.
You call yourself a devotee of Vishnu and you practice the six rituals, but your inner being is polluted with greed.

ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਡੂਬੇ ਸਭ ਅਗਿਆਨ ॥੧॥
संत सभा की निंदा करते डूबे सभ अगिआन ॥१॥
Sanṯ sabẖā kī ninḏā karṯe dūbe sabẖ agi▫ān. ||1||
Those who slander the Society of the Saints, shall all be drowned in their ignorance. ||1||
