ਖੋਟੇ ਖਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਏ
खोटे खरे तुधु आपि उपाए ॥
Kẖote kẖare ṯuḏẖ āp upā▫e.
You Yourself created the counterfeit and the genuine.

ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਖੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਬਾਏ
तुधु आपे परखे लोक सबाए ॥
Ŧuḏẖ āpe parkẖe lok sabā▫e.
You Yourself appraise all people.

ਖਰੇ ਪਰਖਿ ਖਜਾਨੈ ਪਾਇਹਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
खरे परखि खजानै पाइहि खोटे भरमि भुलावणिआ ॥६॥
Kẖare parakẖ kẖajānai pā▫ihi kẖote bẖaram bẖulāvaṇi▫ā. ||6||
You appraise the true, and place them in Your Treasury; You consign the false to wander in delusion. ||6||

ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖਾ ਕਿਉ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ
किउ करि वेखा किउ सालाही ॥
Ki▫o kar vekẖā ki▫o sālāhī.
How can I behold You? How can I praise You?

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹੀ
गुर परसादी सबदि सलाही ॥
Gur parsādī sabaḏ salāhī.
By Guru's Grace, I praise You through the Word of the Shabad.

ਤੇਰੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਤੂੰ ਭਾਣੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
तेरे भाणे विचि अम्रितु वसै तूं भाणै अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥७॥
Ŧere bẖāṇe vicẖ amriṯ vasai ṯūʼn bẖāṇai amriṯ pī▫āvṇi▫ā. ||7||
In Your Sweet Will, the Amrit is found; by Your Will, You inspire us to drink in this Amrit. ||7||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ
अम्रित सबदु अम्रित हरि बाणी ॥
Amriṯ sabaḏ amriṯ har baṇī.
The Shabad is Amrit; the Lord's Bani is Amrit.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੀ
सतिगुरि सेविऐ रिदै समाणी ॥
Saṯgur sevi▫ai riḏai samāṇī.
Serving the True Guru, it permeates the heart.

ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਪੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਭ ਭੁਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੫॥੧੬॥
नानक अम्रित नामु सदा सुखदाता पी अम्रितु सभ भुख लहि जावणिआ ॥८॥१५॥१६॥
Nānak amriṯ nām saḏā sukẖ▫ḏāṯa pī amriṯ sabẖ bẖukẖ lėh jāvaṇi▫ā. ||8||15||16||
O Nanak, the Ambrosial Naam is forever the Giver of peace; drinking in this Amrit, all hunger is satisfied. ||8||15||16||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ
माझ महला ३ ॥
Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh, Third Mehl:

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵਰਸੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ
अम्रितु वरसै सहजि सुभाए ॥
Amriṯ varsai sahj subẖā▫e.
The Ambrosial Nectar rains down, softly and gently.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ
गुरमुखि विरला कोई जनु पाए ॥
Gurmukẖ virlā ko▫ī jan pā▫e.
How rare are those Gurmukhs who find it.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੁਝਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
अम्रितु पी सदा त्रिपतासे करि किरपा त्रिसना बुझावणिआ ॥१॥
Amriṯ pī saḏā ṯaripṯāse kar kirpā ṯarisnā bujẖāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
Those who drink it in are satisfied forever. Showering His Mercy upon them, the Lord quenches their thirst. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ
हउ वारी जीउ वारी गुरमुखि अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī gurmukẖ amriṯ pī▫āvṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those Gurmukhs who drink in this Ambrosial Nectar.

ਰਸਨਾ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
रसना रसु चाखि सदा रहै रंगि राती सहजे हरि गुण गावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rasnā ras cẖākẖ saḏā rahai rang rāṯī sėhje har guṇ gāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The tongue tastes the essence, and remains forever imbued with the Lord's Love, intuitively singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਹਜੁ ਕੋ ਪਾਏ
गुर परसादी सहजु को पाए ॥
Gur parsādī sahj ko pā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, intuitive understanding is obtained;

ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਮਾਰੇ ਇਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ
दुबिधा मारे इकसु सिउ लिव लाए ॥
Ḏubiḏẖā māre ikas si▫o liv lā▫e.
subduing the sense of duality, they are in love with the One.

ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਦਰੀ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
नदरि करे ता हरि गुण गावै नदरी सचि समावणिआ ॥२॥
Naḏar kare ṯā har guṇ gāvai naḏrī sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||2||
When He bestows His Glance of Grace, then they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; by His Grace, they merge in Truth. ||2||

ਸਭਨਾ ਉਪਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ
सभना उपरि नदरि प्रभ तेरी ॥
Sabẖnā upar naḏar parabẖ ṯerī.
Above all is Your Glance of Grace, O God.

ਕਿਸੈ ਥੋੜੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਹੈ ਘਣੇਰੀ
किसै थोड़ी किसै है घणेरी ॥
Kisai thoṛī kisai hai gẖaṇerī.
Upon some it is bestowed less, and upon others it is bestowed more.

ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
तुझ ते बाहरि किछु न होवै गुरमुखि सोझी पावणिआ ॥३॥
Ŧujẖ ṯe bāhar kicẖẖ na hovai gurmukẖ sojẖī pāvṇi▫ā. ||3||
Without You, nothing happens at all; the Gurmukhs understand this. ||3||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤਤੁ ਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ
गुरमुखि ततु है बीचारा ॥
Gurmukẖ ṯaṯ hai bīcẖārā.
The Gurmukhs contemplate the essence of reality;

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ
अम्रिति भरे तेरे भंडारा ॥
Amriṯ bẖare ṯere bẖandārā.
Your Treasures are overflowing with Ambrosial Nectar.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
बिनु सतिगुर सेवे कोई न पावै गुर किरपा ते पावणिआ ॥४॥
Bin saṯgur seve ko▫ī na pāvai gur kirpā ṯe pāvṇi▫ā. ||4||
Without serving the True Guru, no one obtains it. It is obtained only by Guru's Grace. ||4||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਹੈ
सतिगुरु सेवै सो जनु सोहै ॥
Saṯgur sevai so jan sohai.
Those who serve the True Guru are beautiful.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹੈ
अम्रित नामि अंतरु मनु मोहै ॥
Amriṯ nām anṯar man mohai.
The Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, entices their inner minds.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
अम्रिति मनु तनु बाणी रता अम्रितु सहजि सुणावणिआ ॥५॥
Amriṯ man ṯan baṇī raṯā amriṯ sahj suṇāvṇi▫ā. ||5||
Their minds and bodies are attuned to the Ambrosial Bani of the Word; this Ambrosial Nectar is intuitively heard. ||5||

ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਭੂਲਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਏ
मनमुखु भूला दूजै भाइ खुआए ॥
Manmukẖ bẖūlā ḏūjai bẖā▫e kẖu▫ā▫e.
The deluded, self-willed manmukhs are ruined through the love of duality.

ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਵੈ ਮਰੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਏ
नामु न लेवै मरै बिखु खाए ॥
Nām na levai marai bikẖ kẖā▫e.
They do not chant the Naam, and they die, eating poison.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਸਟਾ ਮਹਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
अनदिनु सदा विसटा महि वासा बिनु सेवा जनमु गवावणिआ ॥६॥
An▫ḏin saḏā vistā mėh vāsā bin sevā janam gavāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
Night and day, they continually sit in manure. Without selfless service, their lives are wasted away. ||6||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਪੀਆਏ
अम्रितु पीवै जिस नो आपि पीआए ॥
Amriṯ pīvai jis no āp pī▫ā▫e.
They alone drink in this Amrit, whom the Lord Himself inspires to do so.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ
गुर परसादी सहजि लिव लाए ॥
Gur parsādī sahj liv lā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, they intuitively enshrine love for the Lord.

ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
पूरन पूरि रहिआ सभ आपे गुरमति नदरी आवणिआ ॥७॥
Pūran pūr rahi▫ā sabẖ āpe gurmaṯ naḏrī āvaṇi▫ā. ||7||
The Perfect Lord is Himself perfectly pervading everywhere; through the Guru's Teachings, He is perceived. ||7||

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ
आपे आपि निरंजनु सोई ॥
Āpe āp niranjan so▫ī.
He Himself is the Immaculate Lord.

ਜਿਨਿ ਸਿਰਜੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੋਈ
जिनि सिरजी तिनि आपे गोई ॥
Jin sirjī ṯin āpe go▫ī.
He who has created, shall Himself destroy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਸਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੬॥੧੭॥
नानक नामु समालि सदा तूं सहजे सचि समावणिआ ॥८॥१६॥१७॥
Nānak nām samāl saḏā ṯūʼn sėhje sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||8||16||17||
O Nanak, remember the Naam forever, and you shall merge into the True One with intuitive ease. ||8||16||17||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ
माझ महला ३ ॥
Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh, Third Mehl:

ਸੇ ਸਚਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਏ
से सचि लागे जो तुधु भाए ॥
Se sacẖ lāge jo ṯuḏẖ bẖā▫e.
Those who please You are linked to the Truth.

ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਏ
सदा सचु सेवहि सहज सुभाए ॥
Saḏā sacẖ sevėh sahj subẖā▫e.
They serve the True One forever, with intuitive ease.

ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਚੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
सचै सबदि सचा सालाही सचै मेलि मिलावणिआ ॥१॥
Sacẖai sabaḏ sacẖā sālāhī sacẖai mel milāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
Through the True Word of the Shabad, they praise the True One, and they merge in the merging of Truth. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਿਆ
हउ वारी जीउ वारी सचु सालाहणिआ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī sacẖ salāhṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who praise the True One.

ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਸੇ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सचु धिआइनि से सचि राते सचे सचि समावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sacẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫in se sacẖ rāṯe sacẖe sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Those who meditate on the True One are attuned to Truth; they are absorbed into the Truest of the True. ||1||Pause||

ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ
जह देखा सचु सभनी थाई ॥
Jah ḏekẖā sacẖ sabẖnī thā▫ī.
The True One is everywhere, wherever I look.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਈ
गुर परसादी मंनि वसाई ॥
Gur parsādī man vasā▫ī.
By Guru's Grace, I enshrine Him in my mind.

ਤਨੁ ਸਚਾ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਨਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
तनु सचा रसना सचि राती सचु सुणि आखि वखानणिआ ॥२॥
Ŧan sacẖā rasnā sacẖ rāṯī sacẖ suṇ ākẖ vakẖānṇi▫ā. ||2||
True are the bodies of those whose tongues are attuned to Truth. They hear the Truth, and speak it with their mouths. ||2||
