ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਹੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ
हरि चेतहु अंति होइ सखाई ॥
Har cẖeṯahu anṯ ho▫e sakẖā▫ī.
Think of the Lord, who shall be your Help and Support in the end.

ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਨਾਥੁ ਅਜੋਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
हरि अगमु अगोचरु अनाथु अजोनी सतिगुर कै भाइ पावणिआ ॥१॥
Har agam agocẖar anāth ajonī saṯgur kai bẖā▫e pāvṇi▫ā. ||1||
The Lord is Inaccessible and Incomprehensible. He has no master, and He is not born. He is obtained through love of the True Guru. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਿਆ
हउ वारी जीउ वारी आपु निवारणिआ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī āp nivārṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who eliminate selfishness and conceit.

ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
आपु गवाए ता हरि पाए हरि सिउ सहजि समावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Āp gavā▫e ṯā har pā▫e har si▫o sahj samāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
They eradicate selfishness and conceit, and then find the Lord; they are intuitively immersed in the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ
पूरबि लिखिआ सु करमु कमाइआ ॥
Pūrab likẖi▫ā so karam kamā▫i▫ā.
According to their pre-ordained destiny, they act out their karma.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ
सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ ॥
Saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā.
Serving the True Guru, a lasting peace is found.

ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਬਦੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
बिनु भागा गुरु पाईऐ नाही सबदै मेलि मिलावणिआ ॥२॥
Bin bẖāgā gur pā▫ī▫ai nāhī sabḏai mel milāvaṇi▫ā. ||2||
Without good fortune, the Guru is not found. Through the Word of the Shabad, they are united in the Lord's Union. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਰਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ
गुरमुखि अलिपतु रहै संसारे ॥
Gurmukẖ alipaṯ rahai sansāre.
The Gurmukhs remain unaffected in the midst of the world.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਤਕੀਐ ਨਾਮਿ ਅਧਾਰੇ
गुर कै तकीऐ नामि अधारे ॥
Gur kai ṯakī▫ai nām aḏẖāre.
The Guru is their cushion, and the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is their Support.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪੇ ਖਪਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
गुरमुखि जोरु करे किआ तिस नो आपे खपि दुखु पावणिआ ॥३॥
Gurmukẖ jor kare ki▫ā ṯis no āpe kẖap ḏukẖ pāvṇi▫ā. ||3||
Who can oppress the Gurmukh? One who tries shall perish, writhing in pain. ||3||

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧੇ ਸੁਧਿ ਕਾਈ
मनमुखि अंधे सुधि न काई ॥
Manmukẖ anḏẖe suḏẖ na kā▫ī.
The blind self-willed manmukhs have no understanding at all.

ਆਤਮ ਘਾਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਕਸਾਈ
आतम घाती है जगत कसाई ॥
Āṯam gẖāṯī hai jagaṯ kasā▫ī.
They are the assassins of the self, and the butchers of the world.

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰੁ ਉਠਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਜੂਰੀ ਭਾਰੁ ਪਹੁਚਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
निंदा करि करि बहु भारु उठावै बिनु मजूरी भारु पहुचावणिआ ॥४॥
Ninḏā kar kar baho bẖār uṯẖāvai bin majūrī bẖār pahucẖāvaṇi▫ā. ||4||
By continually slandering others, they carry a terrible load, and they carry the loads of others for nothing. ||4||

ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਵਾੜੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਲੀ
इहु जगु वाड़ी मेरा प्रभु माली ॥
Ih jag vāṛī merā parabẖ mālī.
This world is a garden, and my Lord God is the Gardener.

ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ਖਾਲੀ
सदा समाले को नाही खाली ॥
Saḏā samāle ko nāhī kẖālī.
He always takes care of it-nothing is exempt from His Care.

ਜੇਹੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਪਾਏ ਤੇਹੀ ਵਰਤੈ ਵਾਸੂ ਵਾਸੁ ਜਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
जेही वासना पाए तेही वरतै वासू वासु जणावणिआ ॥५॥
Jehī vāsnā pā▫e ṯehī varṯai vāsū vās jaṇāvaṇi▫ā. ||5||
As is the fragrance which He bestows, so is the fragrant flower known. ||5||

ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ
मनमुखु रोगी है संसारा ॥
Manmukẖ rogī hai sansārā.
The self-willed manmukhs are sick and diseased in the world.

ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ
सुखदाता विसरिआ अगम अपारा ॥
Sukẖ▫ḏāṯa visri▫ā agam apārā.
They have forgotten the Giver of peace, the Unfathomable, the Infinite.

ਦੁਖੀਏ ਨਿਤਿ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਬਿਲਲਾਦੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
दुखीए निति फिरहि बिललादे बिनु गुर सांति न पावणिआ ॥६॥
Ḏukẖī▫e niṯ firėh billāḏe bin gur sāʼnṯ na pāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
These miserable people wander endlessly, crying out in pain; without the Guru, they find no peace. ||6||

ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੋਈ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਣੈ
जिनि कीते सोई बिधि जाणै ॥
Jin kīṯe so▫ī biḏẖ jāṇai.
The One who created them, knows their condition.

ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ
आपि करे ता हुकमि पछाणै ॥
Āp kare ṯā hukam pacẖẖāṇai.
And if He inspires them, then they realize the Hukam of His Command.

ਜੇਹਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਤੇਹਾ ਵਰਤੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
जेहा अंदरि पाए तेहा वरतै आपे बाहरि पावणिआ ॥७॥
Jehā anḏar pā▫e ṯehā varṯai āpe bāhar pāvṇi▫ā. ||7||
Whatever He places within them, that is what prevails, and so they outwardly appear. ||7||

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਚੇ ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਕੋਈ
तिसु बाझहु सचे मै होरु न कोई ॥
Ŧis bājẖahu sacẖe mai hor na ko▫ī.
I know of no other except the True One.

ਜਿਸੁ ਲਾਇ ਲਏ ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਈ
जिसु लाइ लए सो निरमलु होई ॥
Jis lā▫e la▫e so nirmal ho▫ī.
Those, whom the Lord attaches to Himself, become pure.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੪॥੧੫॥
नानक नामु वसै घट अंतरि जिसु देवै सो पावणिआ ॥८॥१४॥१५॥
Nānak nām vasai gẖat anṯar jis ḏevai so pāvṇi▫ā. ||8||14||15||
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the heart of those, unto whom He has given it. ||8||14||15||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ
माझ महला ३ ॥
Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh, Third Mehl:

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ
अम्रित नामु मंनि वसाए ॥
Amriṯ nām man vasā▫e.
Enshrining the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, in the mind,

ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਵਾਏ
हउमै मेरा सभु दुखु गवाए ॥
Ha▫umai merā sabẖ ḏukẖ gavā▫e.
all the pains of egotism, selfishness and conceit are eliminated.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
अम्रित बाणी सदा सलाहे अम्रिति अम्रितु पावणिआ ॥१॥
Amriṯ baṇī saḏā salāhe amriṯ amriṯ pāvṇi▫ā. ||1||
By continually praising the Ambrosial Bani of the Word, I obtain the Amrit, the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ
हउ वारी जीउ वारी अम्रित बाणी मंनि वसावणिआ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī amriṯ baṇī man vasāvaṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Ambrosial Bani of the Word within their minds.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
अम्रित बाणी मंनि वसाए अम्रितु नामु धिआवणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Amriṯ baṇī man vasā▫e amriṯ nām ḏẖi▫āvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Enshrining the Ambrosial Bani in their minds, they meditate on the Ambrosial Naam. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਵੈਣੀ
अम्रितु बोलै सदा मुखि वैणी ॥
Amriṯ bolai saḏā mukẖ vaiṇī.
Those who continually chant the Ambrosial Words of Nectar,

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਪਰਖੈ ਸਦਾ ਨੈਣੀ
अम्रितु वेखै परखै सदा नैणी ॥
Amriṯ vekẖai parkẖai saḏā naiṇī.
see and behold this Amrit everywhere with their eyes.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਥਾ ਕਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਅਵਰਾ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਨਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
अम्रित कथा कहै सदा दिनु राती अवरा आखि सुनावणिआ ॥२॥
Amriṯ kathā kahai saḏā ḏin rāṯī avrā ākẖ sunāvṇi▫ā. ||2||
They continually chant the Ambrosial Sermon day and night; chanting it, they cause others to hear it. ||2||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ
अम्रित रंगि रता लिव लाए ॥
Amriṯ rang raṯā liv lā▫e.
Imbued with the Ambrosial Love of the Lord, they lovingly focus their attention on Him.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਏ
अम्रितु गुर परसादी पाए ॥
Amriṯ gur parsādī pā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, they receive this Amrit.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਬੋਲੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
अम्रितु रसना बोलै दिनु राती मनि तनि अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥३॥
Amriṯ rasnā bolai ḏin rāṯī man ṯan amriṯ pī▫āvṇi▫ā. ||3||
They chant the Ambrosial Name with their tongues day and night; their minds and bodies are satisfied by this Amrit. ||3||

ਸੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਜੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਹੋਈ
सो किछु करै जु चिति न होई ॥
So kicẖẖ karai jo cẖiṯ na ho▫ī.
That which God does is beyond anyone's consciousness;

ਤਿਸ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਈ
तिस दा हुकमु मेटि न सकै कोई ॥
Ŧis ḏā hukam met na sakai ko▫ī.
no one can erase the Hukam of His Command.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਵਰਤੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
हुकमे वरतै अम्रित बाणी हुकमे अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥४॥
Hukme varṯai amriṯ baṇī hukme amriṯ pī▫āvṇi▫ā. ||4||
By His Command, the Ambrosial Bani of the Word prevails, and by His Command, we drink in the Amrit. ||4||

ਅਜਬ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰੇ
अजब कम करते हरि केरे ॥
Ajab kamm karṯe har kere.
The actions of the Creator Lord are marvelous and wonderful.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭੂਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਫੇਰੇ
इहु मनु भूला जांदा फेरे ॥
Ih man bẖūlā jāʼnḏā fere.
This mind is deluded, and goes around the wheel of reincarnation.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
अम्रित बाणी सिउ चितु लाए अम्रित सबदि वजावणिआ ॥५॥
Amriṯ baṇī si▫o cẖiṯ lā▫e amriṯ sabaḏ vajāvaṇi▫ā. ||5||
Those who focus their consciousness on the Ambrosial Bani of the Word, hear the vibrations of the Ambrosial Word of the Shabad. ||5||
