ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਤਖਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਕੀਏ
जिन कउ तखति मिलै वडिआई गुरमुखि से परधान कीए ॥
Jin ka▫o ṯakẖaṯ milai vadi▫ā▫ī gurmukẖ se parḏẖān kī▫e.
Those who are blessed with the glory of the Lord's Throne - those Gurmukhs are renowned as supreme.

ਪਾਰਸੁ ਭੇਟਿ ਭਏ ਸੇ ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਥੀਏ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੨॥
पारसु भेटि भए से पारस नानक हरि गुर संगि थीए ॥४॥४॥१२॥
Pāras bẖet bẖa▫e se pāras Nānak har gur sang thī▫e. ||4||4||12||
Touching the philosopher's stone, they themselves becomes the philosopher's stone; they become the companions of the Lord, the Guru. ||4||4||12||

ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ਘਰੁ ਦੁਤੁਕੇ
बसंतु महला ३ घरु १ दुतुके
Basanṯ mėhlā 3 gẖar 1 ḏuṯuke
Basant, Third Mehl, First House, Du-Tukas:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮਾਹਾ ਰੁਤੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਦ ਬਸੰਤੁ
माहा रुती महि सद बसंतु ॥
Māhā ruṯī mėh saḏ basanṯ.
Throughout the months and the seasons, the Lord is always in bloom.

ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤੁ
जितु हरिआ सभु जीअ जंतु ॥
Jiṯ hari▫ā sabẖ jī▫a janṯ.
He rejuvenates all beings and creatures.

ਕਿਆ ਹਉ ਆਖਾ ਕਿਰਮ ਜੰਤੁ
किआ हउ आखा किरम जंतु ॥
Ki▫ā ha▫o ākẖā kiram janṯ.
What can I say? I am just a worm.

ਤੇਰਾ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤੁ ॥੧॥
तेरा किनै न पाइआ आदि अंतु ॥१॥
Ŧerā kinai na pā▫i▫ā āḏ anṯ. ||1||
No one has found Your beginning or Your end, O Lord. ||1||

ਤੈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਵ
तै साहिब की करहि सेव ॥
Ŧai sāhib kī karahi sev.
Those who serve You, Lord,

ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਆਤਮ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
परम सुख पावहि आतम देव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Param sukẖ pāvahi āṯam ḏev. ||1|| rahā▫o.
obtain the greatest peace; their souls are so divine. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੈ
करमु होवै तां सेवा करै ॥
Karam hovai ṯāʼn sevā karai.
If the Lord is merciful, then the mortal is allowed to serve Him.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰੈ
गुर परसादी जीवत मरै ॥
Gur parsādī jīvaṯ marai.
By Guru's Grace, he remains dead while yet alive.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਰੈ
अनदिनु साचु नामु उचरै ॥
An▫ḏin sācẖ nām ucẖrai.
Night and day, he chants the True Name;

ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰੈ ॥੨॥
इन बिधि प्राणी दुतरु तरै ॥२॥
In biḏẖ parāṇī ḏuṯar ṯarai. ||2||
in this way, he crosses over the treacherous world-ocean. ||2||

ਬਿਖੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ਉਪਾਏ
बिखु अम्रितु करतारि उपाए ॥
Bikẖ amriṯ karṯār upā▫e.
The Creator created both poison and nectar.

ਸੰਸਾਰ ਬਿਰਖ ਕਉ ਦੁਇ ਫਲ ਲਾਏ
संसार बिरख कउ दुइ फल लाए ॥
Sansār birakẖ ka▫o ḏu▫e fal lā▫e.
He attached these two fruits to the world-plant.

ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ
आपे करता करे कराए ॥
Āpe karṯā kare karā▫e.
The Creator Himself is the Doer, the Cause of all.

ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਖਵਾਏ ॥੩॥
जो तिसु भावै तिसै खवाए ॥३॥
Jo ṯis bẖāvai ṯisai kẖavā▫e. ||3||
He feeds all as He pleases. ||3||

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ
नानक जिस नो नदरि करेइ ॥
Nānak jis no naḏar kare▫i.
O Nanak, when He casts His Glance of Grace,

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ
अम्रित नामु आपे देइ ॥
Amriṯ nām āpe ḏe▫e.
He Himself bestows His Ambrosial Naam.

ਬਿਖਿਆ ਕੀ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਕਰੇਇ
बिखिआ की बासना मनहि करेइ ॥
Bikẖi▫ā kī bāsnā manėh kare▫i.
Thus, the desire for sin and corruption is ended.

ਅਪਣਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
अपणा भाणा आपि करेइ ॥४॥१॥
Apṇā bẖāṇā āp kare▫i. ||4||1||
The Lord Himself carries out His Own Will. ||4||1||

ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बसंतु महला ३ ॥
Basanṯ mėhlā 3.
Basant, Third Mehl:

ਰਾਤੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ
राते साचि हरि नामि निहाला ॥
Rāṯe sācẖ har nām nihālā.
Those who are attuned to the True Lord's Name are happy and exalted.

ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ
दइआ करहु प्रभ दीन दइआला ॥
Ḏa▫i▫ā karahu parabẖ ḏīn ḏa▫i▫ālā.
Take pity on me, O God, Merciful to the meek.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੈ ਕੋਇ
तिसु बिनु अवरु नही मै कोइ ॥
Ŧis bin avar nahī mai ko▫e.
Without Him, I have no other at all.

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥
जिउ भावै तिउ राखै सोइ ॥१॥
Ji▫o bẖāvai ṯi▫o rākẖai so▫e. ||1||
As it pleases His Will, He keeps me. ||1||

ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਏ
गुर गोपाल मेरै मनि भाए ॥
Gur gopāl merai man bẖā▫e.
The Guru, the Lord, is pleasing to my mind.

ਰਹਿ ਸਕਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਉ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
रहि न सकउ दरसन देखे बिनु सहजि मिलउ गुरु मेलि मिलाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rėh na saka▫o ḏarsan ḏekẖe bin sahj mila▫o gur mel milā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I cannot even survive, without the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. But I shall easily unite with the Guru, if He unites me in His Union. ||1||Pause||

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਲੋਭੀ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਨਾ
इहु मनु लोभी लोभि लुभाना ॥
Ih man lobẖī lobẖ lubẖānā.
The greedy mind is enticed by greed.

ਰਾਮ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਾ
राम बिसारि बहुरि पछुताना ॥
Rām bisār bahur pacẖẖuṯānā.
Forgetting the Lord, it regrets and repents in the end.

ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵ ਰਾਂਗੇ
बिछुरत मिलाइ गुर सेव रांगे ॥
Bicẖẖuraṯ milā▫e gur sev rāʼnge.
The separated ones are reunited, when they are inspired to serve the Guru.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ ॥੨॥
हरि नामु दीओ मसतकि वडभागे ॥२॥
Har nām ḏī▫o masṯak vadbẖāge. ||2||
They are blessed with the Lord's Name - such is the destiny written on their foreheads. ||2||

ਪਉਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਦੇਹ ਸਰੀਰਾ
पउण पाणी की इह देह सरीरा ॥
Pa▫uṇ pāṇī kī ih ḏeh sarīrā.
This body is built of air and water.

ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਕਠਿਨ ਤਨਿ ਪੀਰਾ
हउमै रोगु कठिन तनि पीरा ॥
Ha▫umai rog kaṯẖin ṯan pīrā.
The body is afflicted with the terribly painful illness of egotism.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਦਾਰੂ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ
गुरमुखि राम नाम दारू गुण गाइआ ॥
Gurmukẖ rām nām ḏārū guṇ gā▫i▫ā.
The Gurmukh has the Medicine: singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
करि किरपा गुरि रोगु गवाइआ ॥३॥
Kar kirpā gur rog gavā▫i▫ā. ||3||
Granting His Grace, the Guru has cured the illness. ||3||

ਚਾਰਿ ਨਦੀਆ ਅਗਨੀ ਤਨਿ ਚਾਰੇ
चारि नदीआ अगनी तनि चारे ॥
Cẖār naḏī▫ā agnī ṯan cẖāre.
The four evils are the four rivers of fire flowing through the body.

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਜਲਤ ਜਲੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੇ
त्रिसना जलत जले अहंकारे ॥
Ŧarisnā jalaṯ jale ahaʼnkāre.
It is burning in desire, and burning in egotism.

ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਤਾਰੇ
गुरि राखे वडभागी तारे ॥
Gur rākẖe vadbẖāgī ṯāre.
Those whom the Guru protects and saves are very fortunate.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
जन नानक उरि हरि अम्रितु धारे ॥४॥२॥
Jan Nānak ur har amriṯ ḏẖāre. ||4||2||
Servant Nanak enshrines the Ambrosial Name of the Lord in his heart. ||4||2||

ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बसंतु महला ३ ॥
Basanṯ mėhlā 3.
Basant, Third Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਲੋਗੁ
हरि सेवे सो हरि का लोगु ॥
Har seve so har kā log.
One who serves the Lord is the Lord's person.

ਸਾਚੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਕਦੇ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਗੁ
साचु सहजु कदे न होवै सोगु ॥
Sācẖ sahj kaḏe na hovai sog.
He dwells in intuitive peace, and never suffers in sorrow.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਏ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ
मनमुख मुए नाही हरि मन माहि ॥
Manmukẖ mu▫e nāhī har man māhi.
The self-willed manmukhs are dead; the Lord is not within their minds.

ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਭੀ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
मरि मरि जमहि भी मरि जाहि ॥१॥
Mar mar jamėh bẖī mar jāhi. ||1||
They die and die again and again, and are reincarnated, only to die once more. ||1||

ਸੇ ਜਨ ਜੀਵੇ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ
से जन जीवे जिन हरि मन माहि ॥
Se jan jīve jin har man māhi.
They alone are alive, whose minds are filled with the Lord.

ਸਾਚੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਹਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
साचु सम्हालहि साचि समाहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sācẖ samĥālih sācẖ samāhi. ||1|| rahā▫o.
They contemplate the True Lord, and are absorbed in the True Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਤੇ ਦੂਰਿ
हरि न सेवहि ते हरि ते दूरि ॥
Har na sevėh ṯe har ṯe ḏūr.
Those who do not serve the Lord are far away from the Lord.

ਦਿਸੰਤਰੁ ਭਵਹਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਧੂਰਿ
दिसंतरु भवहि सिरि पावहि धूरि ॥
Disanṯar bẖavėh sir pāvahi ḏẖūr.
They wander in foreign lands, with dust thrown on their heads.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਲੀਏ ਲਾਇ
हरि आपे जन लीए लाइ ॥
Har āpe jan lī▫e lā▫e.
The Lord Himself enjoins His humble servants to serve Him.

ਤਿਨ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
तिन सदा सुखु है तिलु न तमाइ ॥२॥
Ŧin saḏā sukẖ hai ṯil na ṯamā▫e. ||2||
They live in peace forever, and have no greed at all. ||2||
