ਰਾਮੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਮੇਰੈ
रामु राजा नउ निधि मेरै ॥
Rām rājā na▫o niḏẖ merai.
The Sovereign Lord is the nine treasures for me.

ਸੰਪੈ ਹੇਤੁ ਕਲਤੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
स्मपै हेतु कलतु धनु तेरै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sampai heṯ kalaṯ ḏẖan ṯerai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The possessions and the spouse to which the mortal is lovingly attached, are Your wealth, O Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਆਵਤ ਸੰਗ ਜਾਤ ਸੰਗਾਤੀ
आवत संग न जात संगाती ॥
Āvaṯ sang na jāṯ sangāṯī.
They do not come with the mortal, and they do not go with him.

ਕਹਾ ਭਇਓ ਦਰਿ ਬਾਂਧੇ ਹਾਥੀ ॥੨॥
कहा भइओ दरि बांधे हाथी ॥२॥
Kahā bẖa▫i▫o ḏar bāʼnḏẖe hāthī. ||2||
What good does it do him, if he has elephants tied up at his doorway? ||2||

ਲੰਕਾ ਗਢੁ ਸੋਨੇ ਕਾ ਭਇਆ
लंका गढु सोने का भइआ ॥
Lankā gadẖ sone kā bẖa▫i▫ā.
The fortress of Sri Lanka was made out of gold,

ਮੂਰਖੁ ਰਾਵਨੁ ਕਿਆ ਲੇ ਗਇਆ ॥੩॥
मूरखु रावनु किआ ले गइआ ॥३॥
Mūrakẖ rāvan ki▫ā le ga▫i▫ā. ||3||
but what could the foolish Raawan take with him when he left? ||3||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਕਿਛੁ ਗੁਨੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ
कहि कबीर किछु गुनु बीचारि ॥
Kahi Kabīr kicẖẖ gun bīcẖār.
Says Kabeer, think of doing some good deeds.

ਚਲੇ ਜੁਆਰੀ ਦੁਇ ਹਥ ਝਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੨॥
चले जुआरी दुइ हथ झारि ॥४॥२॥
Cẖale ju▫ārī ḏu▫e hath jẖār. ||4||2||
In the end, the gambler shall depart empty-handed. ||4||2||

ਮੈਲਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਇੰਦੁ
मैला ब्रहमा मैला इंदु ॥
Mailā barahmā mailā inḏ.
Brahma is polluted, and Indra is polluted.

ਰਵਿ ਮੈਲਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਹੈ ਚੰਦੁ ॥੧॥
रवि मैला मैला है चंदु ॥१॥
Rav mailā mailā hai cẖanḏ. ||1||
The sun is polluted, and the moon is polluted. ||1||

ਮੈਲਾ ਮਲਤਾ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ
मैला मलता इहु संसारु ॥
Mailā malṯā ih sansār.
This world is polluted with pollution.

ਇਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
इकु हरि निरमलु जा का अंतु न पारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ik har nirmal jā kā anṯ na pār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Only the One Lord is Immaculate; He has no end or limitation. ||1||Pause||

ਮੈਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡਾਇ ਕੈ ਈਸ
मैले ब्रहमंडाइ कै ईस ॥
Maile barahmandā▫i kai īs.
The rulers of kingdoms are polluted.

ਮੈਲੇ ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਦਿਨ ਤੀਸ ॥੨॥
मैले निसि बासुर दिन तीस ॥२॥
Maile nis bāsur ḏin ṯīs. ||2||
Nights and days, and the days of the month are polluted. ||2||

ਮੈਲਾ ਮੋਤੀ ਮੈਲਾ ਹੀਰੁ
मैला मोती मैला हीरु ॥
Mailā moṯī mailā hīr.
The pearl is polluted, the diamond is polluted.

ਮੈਲਾ ਪਉਨੁ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਅਰੁ ਨੀਰੁ ॥੩॥
मैला पउनु पावकु अरु नीरु ॥३॥
Mailā pa▫un pāvak ar nīr. ||3||
Wind, fire and water are polluted. ||3||

ਮੈਲੇ ਸਿਵ ਸੰਕਰਾ ਮਹੇਸ
मैले सिव संकरा महेस ॥
Maile siv sankrā mahes.
Shiva, Shankara and Mahaysh are polluted.

ਮੈਲੇ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਅਰੁ ਭੇਖ ॥੪॥
मैले सिध साधिक अरु भेख ॥४॥
Maile siḏẖ sāḏẖik ar bẖekẖ. ||4||
The Siddhas, seekers and strivers, and those who wear religious robes, are polluted. ||4||

ਮੈਲੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਜਟਾ ਸਹੇਤਿ
मैले जोगी जंगम जटा सहेति ॥
Maile jogī jangam jatā saheṯ.
The Yogis and wandering hermits with their matted hair are polluted.

ਮੈਲੀ ਕਾਇਆ ਹੰਸ ਸਮੇਤਿ ॥੫॥
मैली काइआ हंस समेति ॥५॥
Mailī kā▫i▫ā hans sameṯ. ||5||
The body, along with the swan-soul, is polluted. ||5||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਨ
कहि कबीर ते जन परवान ॥
Kahi Kabīr ṯe jan parvān.
Says Kabeer, those humble beings are approved,

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨ ॥੬॥੩॥
निरमल ते जो रामहि जान ॥६॥३॥
Nirmal ṯe jo rāmėh jān. ||6||3||
and pure, who know the Lord. ||6||3||

ਮਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਕਾ ਕਿਬਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਹੀ
मनु करि मका किबला करि देही ॥
Man kar makā kiblā kar ḏehī.
Let your mind be Mecca, and your body the temple of worship.

ਬੋਲਨਹਾਰੁ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੁ ਏਹੀ ॥੧॥
बोलनहारु परम गुरु एही ॥१॥
Bolanhār param gur ehī. ||1||
Let the Supreme Guru be the One who speaks. ||1||

ਕਹੁ ਰੇ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਬਾਂਗ ਨਿਵਾਜ
कहु रे मुलां बांग निवाज ॥
Kaho re mulāʼn bāʼng nivāj.
O Mullah, utter the call to prayer.

ਏਕ ਮਸੀਤਿ ਦਸੈ ਦਰਵਾਜ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
एक मसीति दसै दरवाज ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ėk masīṯ ḏasai ḏarvāj. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The one mosque has ten doors. ||1||Pause||

ਮਿਸਿਮਿਲਿ ਤਾਮਸੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਕਦੂਰੀ
मिसिमिलि तामसु भरमु कदूरी ॥
Misimil ṯāmas bẖaram kaḏūrī.
So slaughter your evil nature, doubt and cruelty;

ਭਾਖਿ ਲੇ ਪੰਚੈ ਹੋਇ ਸਬੂਰੀ ॥੨॥
भाखि ले पंचै होइ सबूरी ॥२॥
Bẖākẖ le pancẖai ho▫e sabūrī. ||2||
consume the five demons and you shall be blessed with contentment. ||2||

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੁਰਕ ਕਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਏਕ
हिंदू तुरक का साहिबु एक ॥
Hinḏū ṯurak kā sāhib ek.
Hindus and Muslims have the same One Lord and Master.

ਕਹ ਕਰੈ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਕਹ ਕਰੈ ਸੇਖ ॥੩॥
कह करै मुलां कह करै सेख ॥३॥
Kah karai mulāʼn kah karai sekẖ. ||3||
What can the Mullah do, and what can the Shaykh do? ||3||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਉ ਭਇਆ ਦਿਵਾਨਾ
कहि कबीर हउ भइआ दिवाना ॥
Kahi Kabīr ha▫o bẖa▫i▫ā ḏivānā.
Says Kabeer, I have gone insane.

ਮੁਸਿ ਮੁਸਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੪॥
मुसि मुसि मनूआ सहजि समाना ॥४॥४॥
Mus mus manū▫ā sahj samānā. ||4||4||
Slaughtering, slaughtering my mind, I have merged into the Celestial Lord. ||4||4||

ਗੰਗਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਲਿਤਾ ਬਿਗਰੀ
गंगा कै संगि सलिता बिगरी ॥
Gangā kai sang saliṯā bigrī.
When the stream flows into the Ganges,

ਸੋ ਸਲਿਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬਰੀ ॥੧॥
सो सलिता गंगा होइ निबरी ॥१॥
So saliṯā gangā ho▫e nibrī. ||1||
then it becomes the Ganges. ||1||

ਬਿਗਰਿਓ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਦੁਹਾਈ
बिगरिओ कबीरा राम दुहाई ॥
Bigri▫o kabīrā rām ḏuhā▫ī.
Just so, Kabeer has changed.

ਸਾਚੁ ਭਇਓ ਅਨ ਕਤਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
साचु भइओ अन कतहि न जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sācẖ bẖa▫i▫o an kaṯėh na jā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He has become the Embodiment of Truth, and he does not go anywhere else. ||1||Pause||

ਚੰਦਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰਵਰੁ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ
चंदन कै संगि तरवरु बिगरिओ ॥
Cẖanḏan kai sang ṯarvar bigri▫o.
Associating with the sandalwood tree, the tree nearby is changed;

ਸੋ ਤਰਵਰੁ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
सो तरवरु चंदनु होइ निबरिओ ॥२॥
So ṯarvar cẖanḏan ho▫e nibri▫o. ||2||
that tree begins to smell just like the sandalwood tree. ||2||

ਪਾਰਸ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਾਂਬਾ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ
पारस कै संगि तांबा बिगरिओ ॥
Pāras kai sang ṯāʼnbā bigri▫o.
Coming into contact with the philosophers' stone, copper is transformed;

ਸੋ ਤਾਂਬਾ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬਰਿਓ ॥੩॥
सो तांबा कंचनु होइ निबरिओ ॥३॥
So ṯāʼnbā kancẖan ho▫e nibri▫o. ||3||
that copper is transformed into gold. ||3||

ਸੰਤਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ
संतन संगि कबीरा बिगरिओ ॥
Sanṯan sang kabīrā bigri▫o.
In the Society of the Saints, Kabeer is transformed;

ਸੋ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਰਾਮੈ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬਰਿਓ ॥੪॥੫॥
सो कबीरु रामै होइ निबरिओ ॥४॥५॥
So Kabīr rāmai ho▫e nibri▫o. ||4||5||
that Kabeer is transformed into the Lord. ||4||5||

ਮਾਥੇ ਤਿਲਕੁ ਹਥਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਬਾਨਾਂ
माथे तिलकु हथि माला बानां ॥
Māthe ṯilak hath mālā bānāʼn.
Some apply ceremonial marks to their foreheads, hold malas in their hands, and wear religious robes.

ਲੋਗਨ ਰਾਮੁ ਖਿਲਉਨਾ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥
लोगन रामु खिलउना जानां ॥१॥
Logan rām kẖil▫a▫unā jānāʼn. ||1||
Some people think that the Lord is a play-thing. ||1||

ਜਉ ਹਉ ਬਉਰਾ ਤਉ ਰਾਮ ਤੋਰਾ
जउ हउ बउरा तउ राम तोरा ॥
Ja▫o ha▫o ba▫urā ṯa▫o rām ṯorā.
If I am insane, then I am Yours, O Lord.

ਲੋਗੁ ਮਰਮੁ ਕਹ ਜਾਨੈ ਮੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
लोगु मरमु कह जानै मोरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Log maram kah jānai morā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
How can people know my secret? ||1||Pause||

ਤੋਰਉ ਪਾਤੀ ਪੂਜਉ ਦੇਵਾ
तोरउ न पाती पूजउ न देवा ॥
Ŧora▫o na pāṯī pūja▫o na ḏevā.
I do not pick leaves as offerings, and I do not worship idols.

ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ॥੨॥
राम भगति बिनु निहफल सेवा ॥२॥
Rām bẖagaṯ bin nihfal sevā. ||2||
Without devotional worship of the Lord, service is useless. ||2||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਜਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਾਵਉ
सतिगुरु पूजउ सदा सदा मनावउ ॥
Saṯgur pūja▫o saḏā saḏā manāva▫o.
I worship the True Guru; forever and ever, I surrender to Him.

ਐਸੀ ਸੇਵ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
ऐसी सेव दरगह सुखु पावउ ॥३॥
Aisī sev ḏargėh sukẖ pāva▫o. ||3||
By such service, I find peace in the Court of the Lord. ||3||

ਲੋਗੁ ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਬਉਰਾਨਾ
लोगु कहै कबीरु बउराना ॥
Log kahai Kabīr ba▫urānā.
People say that Kabeer has gone insane.

ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾ ਮਰਮੁ ਰਾਮ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾਂ ॥੪॥੬॥
कबीर का मरमु राम पहिचानां ॥४॥६॥
Kabīr kā maram rām pahicẖānāʼn. ||4||6||
Only the Lord realizes the secret of Kabeer. ||4||6||

ਉਲਟਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਕੁਲ ਦੋਊ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ
उलटि जाति कुल दोऊ बिसारी ॥
Ulat jāṯ kul ḏo▫ū bisārī.
Turning away from the world, I have forgotten both my social class and ancestry.

ਸੁੰਨ ਸਹਜ ਮਹਿ ਬੁਨਤ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
सुंन सहज महि बुनत हमारी ॥१॥
Sunn sahj mėh bunaṯ hamārī. ||1||
My weaving now is in the most profound celestial stillness. ||1||

ਹਮਰਾ ਝਗਰਾ ਰਹਾ ਕੋਊ
हमरा झगरा रहा न कोऊ ॥
Hamrā jẖagrā rahā na ko▫ū.
I have no quarrel with anyone.
