ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੨੫॥੩੮॥
करि किरपा नानक सुखु पाए ॥४॥२५॥३८॥
Kar kirpā Nānak sukẖ pā▫e. ||4||25||38||
Please shower Nanak with Your Mercy and bless him with peace. ||4||25||38||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ५ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 5.
Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਰਹਾ ਕਲਿ ਮਾਹਿ
तेरी टेक रहा कलि माहि ॥
Ŧerī tek rahā kal māhi.
With Your Support, I survive in the Dark Age of Kali Yuga.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ
तेरी टेक तेरे गुण गाहि ॥
Ŧerī tek ṯere guṇ gāhi.
With Your Support, I sing Your Glorious Praises.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਪੋਹੈ ਕਾਲੁ
तेरी टेक न पोहै कालु ॥
Ŧerī tek na pohai kāl.
With Your Support, death cannot even touch me.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ॥੧॥
तेरी टेक बिनसै जंजालु ॥१॥
Ŧerī tek binsai janjāl. ||1||
With Your Support, my entanglements vanish. ||1||

ਦੀਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ
दीन दुनीआ तेरी टेक ॥
Ḏīn ḏunī▫ā ṯerī tek.
In this world and the next, I have Your Support.

ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सभ महि रविआ साहिबु एक ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sabẖ mėh ravi▫ā sāhib ek. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The One Lord, our Lord and Master, is all-pervading. ||1||Pause||

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਕਰਉ ਆਨੰਦ
तेरी टेक करउ आनंद ॥
Ŧerī tek kara▫o ānanḏ.
With Your Support, I celebrate blissfully.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਜਪਉ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ
तेरी टेक जपउ गुर मंत ॥
Ŧerī tek japa▫o gur manṯ.
With Your Support, I chant the Guru's Mantra.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤਰੀਐ ਭਉ ਸਾਗਰੁ
तेरी टेक तरीऐ भउ सागरु ॥
Ŧerī tek ṯarī▫ai bẖa▫o sāgar.
With Your Support, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਰਾਖਣਹਾਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ॥੨॥
राखणहारु पूरा सुख सागरु ॥२॥
Rākẖaṇhār pūrā sukẖ sāgar. ||2||
The Perfect Lord, our Protector and Savior, is the Ocean of Peace. ||2||

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਉ ਕੋਇ
तेरी टेक नाही भउ कोइ ॥
Ŧerī tek nāhī bẖa▫o ko▫e.
With Your Support, I have no fear.

ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ
अंतरजामी साचा सोइ ॥
Anṯarjāmī sācẖā so▫e.
The True Lord is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਾਣੁ
तेरी टेक तेरा मनि ताणु ॥
Ŧerī tek ṯerā man ṯāṇ.
With Your Support, my mind is filled with Your Power.

ਈਹਾਂ ਊਹਾਂ ਤੂ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥੩॥
ईहां ऊहां तू दीबाणु ॥३॥
Īhāʼn ūhāʼn ṯū ḏībāṇ. ||3||
Here and there, You are my Court of Appeal. ||3||

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ
तेरी टेक तेरा भरवासा ॥
Ŧerī tek ṯerā bẖarvāsā.
I take Your Support, and place my faith in You.

ਸਗਲ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ
सगल धिआवहि प्रभ गुणतासा ॥
Sagal ḏẖi▫āvahi parabẖ guṇṯāsā.
All meditate on God, the Treasure of Virtue.

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾ
जपि जपि अनदु करहि तेरे दासा ॥
Jap jap anaḏ karahi ṯere ḏāsā.
Chanting and meditating on You, Your slaves celebrate in bliss.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥੪॥੨੬॥੩੯॥
सिमरि नानक साचे गुणतासा ॥४॥२६॥३९॥
Simar Nānak sācẖe guṇṯāsā. ||4||26||39||
Nanak meditates in remembrance on the True Lord, the Treasure of Virtue. ||4||26||39||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ५ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 5.
Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਛੋਡੀ ਪਰਾਈ ਨਿੰਦਾ
प्रथमे छोडी पराई निंदा ॥
Parathme cẖẖodī parā▫ī ninḏā.
First, I gave up slandering others.

ਉਤਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਦਾ
उतरि गई सभ मन की चिंदा ॥
Uṯar ga▫ī sabẖ man kī cẖinḏā.
All the anxiety of my mind was dispelled.

ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਦੂਰਿ
लोभु मोहु सभु कीनो दूरि ॥
Lobẖ moh sabẖ kīno ḏūr.
Greed and attachment were totally banished.

ਪਰਮ ਬੈਸਨੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖਿ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
परम बैसनो प्रभ पेखि हजूरि ॥१॥
Param baisno parabẖ pekẖ hajūr. ||1||
I see God ever-present, close at hand; I have become a great devotee. ||1||

ਐਸੋ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋਇ
ऐसो तिआगी विरला कोइ ॥
Aiso ṯi▫āgī virlā ko▫e.
Such a renunciate is very rare.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि हरि नामु जपै जनु सोइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har har nām japai jan so▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Such a humble servant chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||

ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਕਾ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਸੰਗੁ
अह्मबुधि का छोडिआ संगु ॥
Ahaʼn▫buḏẖ kā cẖẖodi▫ā sang.
I have forsaken my egotistical intellect.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਾ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਰੰਗੁ
काम क्रोध का उतरिआ रंगु ॥
Kām kroḏẖ kā uṯri▫ā rang.
The love of sexual desire and anger has vanished.

ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ
नाम धिआए हरि हरि हरे ॥
Nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e har har hare.
I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਿਸਤਰੇ ॥੨॥
साध जना कै संगि निसतरे ॥२॥
Sāḏẖ janā kai sang nisṯare. ||2||
In the Company of the Holy, I am emancipated. ||2||

ਬੈਰੀ ਮੀਤ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਮਾਨ
बैरी मीत होए समान ॥
Bairī mīṯ ho▫e sammān.
Enemy and friend are all the same to me.

ਸਰਬ ਮਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵਾਨ
सरब महि पूरन भगवान ॥
Sarab mėh pūran bẖagvān.
The Perfect Lord God is permeating all.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਾਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ
प्रभ की आगिआ मानि सुखु पाइआ ॥
Parabẖ kī āgi▫ā mān sukẖ pā▫i▫ā.
Accepting the Will of God, I have found peace.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
गुरि पूरै हरि नामु द्रिड़ाइआ ॥३॥
Gur pūrai har nām driṛ▫ā▫i▫ā. ||3||
The Perfect Guru has implanted the Name of the Lord within me. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਪਿ
करि किरपा जिसु राखै आपि ॥
Kar kirpā jis rākẖai āp.
That person, whom the Lord, in His Mercy, saves -

ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਜਪੈ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪ
सोई भगतु जपै नाम जाप ॥
So▫ī bẖagaṯ japai nām jāp.
that devotee chants and meditates on the Naam.

ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮਤਿ ਲਈ
मनि प्रगासु गुर ते मति लई ॥
Man pargās gur ṯe maṯ la▫ī.
That person, whose mind is illumined, and who obtains understanding through the Guru-

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਪਈ ॥੪॥੨੭॥੪੦॥
कहु नानक ता की पूरी पई ॥४॥२७॥४०॥
Kaho Nānak ṯā kī pūrī pa▫ī. ||4||27||40||
says Nanak, he is totally fulfilled. ||4||27||40||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ५ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 5.
Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਹੁਤੈ ਧਨਿ ਖਾਟੇ
सुखु नाही बहुतै धनि खाटे ॥
Sukẖ nāhī bahuṯai ḏẖan kẖāte.
There is no peace in earning lots of money.

ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੇਖੇ ਨਿਰਤਿ ਨਾਟੇ
सुखु नाही पेखे निरति नाटे ॥
Sukẖ nāhī pekẖe niraṯ nāte.
There is no peace in watching dances and plays.

ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਹੁ ਦੇਸ ਕਮਾਏ
सुखु नाही बहु देस कमाए ॥
Sukẖ nāhī baho ḏes kamā▫e.
There is no peace in conquering lots of countries.

ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥
सरब सुखा हरि हरि गुण गाए ॥१॥
Sarab sukẖā har har guṇ gā▫e. ||1||
All peace comes from singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਹਹੁ
सूख सहज आनंद लहहु ॥
Sūkẖ sahj ānanḏ lahhu.
You shall obtain peace, poise and bliss,

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਹਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
साधसंगति पाईऐ वडभागी गुरमुखि हरि हरि नामु कहहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ pā▫ī▫ai vadbẖāgī gurmukẖ har har nām kahhu. ||1|| rahā▫o.
when you find the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, by great good fortune. As Gurmukh, utter the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||

ਬੰਧਨ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬਨਿਤਾ
बंधन मात पिता सुत बनिता ॥
Banḏẖan māṯ piṯā suṯ baniṯā.
Mother, father, children and spouse - all place the mortal in bondage.

ਬੰਧਨ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਹਉ ਕਰਤਾ
बंधन करम धरम हउ करता ॥
Banḏẖan karam ḏẖaram ha▫o karṯā.
Religious rituals and actions done in ego place the mortal in bondage.

ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਨਹਾਰੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ
बंधन काटनहारु मनि वसै ॥
Banḏẖan kātanhār man vasai.
If the Lord, the Shatterer of bonds, abides in the mind,

ਤਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਬਸੈ ॥੨॥
तउ सुखु पावै निज घरि बसै ॥२॥
Ŧa▫o sukẖ pāvai nij gẖar basai. ||2||
then peace is obtained, dwelling in the home of the self deep within. ||2||

ਸਭਿ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰ
सभि जाचिक प्रभ देवनहार ॥
Sabẖ jācẖik parabẖ ḏevanhār.
Everyone is a beggar; God is the Great Giver.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਪਾਰ
गुण निधान बेअंत अपार ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān be▫anṯ apār.
The Treasure of Virtue is the Infinite, Endless Lord.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ
जिस नो करमु करे प्रभु अपना ॥
Jis no karam kare parabẖ apnā.
That person, unto whom God grants His Mercy -

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਿਨੈ ਜਨਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੩॥
हरि हरि नामु तिनै जनि जपना ॥३॥
Har har nām ṯinai jan japnā. ||3||
that humble being chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਗੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ
गुर अपने आगै अरदासि ॥
Gur apne āgai arḏās.
I offer my prayer to my Guru.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ
करि किरपा पुरख गुणतासि ॥
Kar kirpā purakẖ guṇṯās.
O Primal Lord God, Treasure of Virtue, please bless me with Your Grace.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ
कहु नानक तुमरी सरणाई ॥
Kaho Nānak ṯumrī sarṇā▫ī.
Says Nanak, I have come to Your Sanctuary.

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਖਹੁ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੪੧॥
जिउ भावै तिउ रखहु गुसाई ॥४॥२८॥४१॥
Ji▫o bẖāvai ṯi▫o rakẖahu gusā▫ī. ||4||28||41||
If it pleases You, please protect me, O Lord of the World. ||4||28||41||

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਓ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ
गुर मिलि तिआगिओ दूजा भाउ ॥
Gur mil ṯi▫āgi▫o ḏūjā bẖā▫o.
Meeting with the Guru, I have forsaken the love of duality.
