ਜਿਸੁ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲਏ ਸੋ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
Jis laṛ lā▫e la▫e so lāgai.
He alone is attached to the hem of the Lord's robe, whom the Lord Himself attaches.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
Janam janam kā so▫i▫ā jāgai. ||3||
Asleep for countless incarnations, he now awakens. ||3||
|
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ॥
Ŧere bẖagaṯ bẖagṯan kā āp.
Your devotees belong to You, and You belong to Your devotees.
|
ਅਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Apṇī mahimā āpe jāp.
You Yourself inspire them to chant Your Praises.
|
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
Jī▫a janṯ sabẖ ṯerai hāth.
All beings and creatures are in Your Hands.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੯॥
Nānak ke parabẖ saḏ hī sāth. ||4||16||29||
Nanak's God is always with him. ||4||16||29||

ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
Nām hamārai anṯarjāmī.
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Inner-knower of my heart.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਮੀ ॥
Nām hamārai āvai kāmī.
The Naam is so useful to me.
|
ਰੋਮਿ ਰੋਮਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Rom rom ravi▫ā har nām.
The Lord's Name permeates each and every hair of mine.
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
Saṯgur pūrai kīno ḏān. ||1||
The Perfect True Guru has given me this gift. ||1||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
Nām raṯan merai bẖandār.
The Jewel of the Naam is my treasure.
|
ਅਗਮ ਅਮੋਲਾ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Agam amolā apar apār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
It is inaccessible, priceless, infinite and incomparable. ||1||Pause||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਧਨੀ ॥
Nām hamārai nihcẖal ḏẖanī.
The Naam is my unmoving, unchanging Lord and Master.
|
ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
Nām kī mahimā sabẖ mėh banī.
The glory of the Naam spreads over the whole world.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
Nām hamārai pūrā sāhu.
The Naam is my perfect master of wealth.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੨॥
Nām hamārai beparvāhu. ||2||
The Naam is my independence. ||2||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਭਾਉ ॥
Nām hamārai bẖojan bẖā▫o.
The Naam is my food and love.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
Nām hamārai man kā su▫ā▫o.
The Naam is the objective of my mind.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Nām na visrai sanṯ parsāḏ.
By the Grace of the Saints, I never forget the Naam.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਅਨਹਦ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾਦ ॥੩॥
Nām laiṯ anhaḏ pūre nāḏ. ||3||
Repeating the Naam, the Unstruck Sound-current of the Naad resounds. ||3||
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
Parabẖ kirpā ṯe nām na▫o niḏẖ pā▫ī.
By God's Grace, I have obtained the nine treasures of the Naam.

ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
Gur kirpā ṯe nām si▫o ban ā▫ī.
By Guru's Grace, I am tuned in to the Naam.
|
ਧਨਵੰਤੇ ਸੇਈ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥
Ḏẖanvanṯe se▫ī parḏẖān.
They alone are wealthy and supreme,
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੩੦॥
Nānak jā kai nām niḏẖān. ||4||17||30||
O Nanak, who have the treasure of the Naam. ||4||17||30||

ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਤਾ ॥
Ŧū merā piṯā ṯūhai merā māṯā.
You are my Father, and You are my Mother.
|
ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
Ŧū mere jī▫a parān sukẖ▫ḏāṯa.
You are my Soul, my Breath of Life, the Giver of Peace.
|
ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਹਉ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Ŧū merā ṯẖākur ha▫o ḏās ṯerā.
You are my Lord and Master; I am Your slave.
|
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
Ŧujẖ bin avar nahī ko merā. ||1||
Without You, I have no one at all. ||1||
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
Kar kirpā karahu parabẖ ḏāṯ.
Please bless me with Your Mercy, God, and give me this gift,
|
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ŧumĥrī usṯaṯ kara▫o ḏin rāṯ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
that I may sing Your Praises, day and night. ||1||Pause||
|
ਹਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੰਤ ਤੂ ਬਜਾਵਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
Ham ṯere janṯ ṯū bajāvanhārā.
I am Your musical instrument, and You are the Musician.
|
ਹਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਿਖਾਰੀ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ॥
Ham ṯere bẖikẖārī ḏān ḏėh ḏāṯārā.
I am Your beggar; please bless me with Your charity, O Great Giver.

ਤਉ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਮਾਣੇ ॥
Ŧa▫o parsāḏ rang ras māṇe.
By Your Grace, I enjoy love and pleasures.
|
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥੨॥
Gẖat gẖat anṯar ṯumėh samāṇe. ||2||
You are deep within each and every heart. ||2||
|
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ॥
Ŧumĥrī kirpā ṯe japī▫ai nā▫o.
By Your Grace, I chant the Name.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
Sāḏẖsang ṯumre guṇ gā▫o.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I sing Your Glorious Praises.
|
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਦਰਦ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥
Ŧumĥrī ḏa▫i▫ā ṯe ho▫e ḏaraḏ binās.
In Your Mercy, You take away our pains.

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮਇਆ ਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
Ŧumrī ma▫i▫ā ṯe kamal bigās. ||3||
By Your Mercy, the heart-lotus blossoms forth. ||3||
|
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
Ha▫o balihār jā▫o gurḏev.
I am a sacrifice to the Divine Guru.
|
ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥
Safal ḏarsan jā kī nirmal sev.
The Blessed Vision of His Darshan is fruitful and rewarding; His service is immaculate and pure.
|
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
Ḏa▫i▫ā karahu ṯẖākur parabẖ mere.
Be Merciful to me, O my Lord God and Master,
|
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨਿਤ ਤੇਰੇ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੩੧॥
Guṇ gāvai Nānak niṯ ṯere. ||4||18||31||
that Nanak may continually sing Your Glorious Praises. ||4||18||31||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
Sabẖ ṯe ūcẖ jā kā ḏarbār.
His Regal Court is the highest of all.
|
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਜੋਹਾਰੁ ॥
Saḏā saḏā ṯā ka▫o johār.
I humbly bow to Him, forever and ever.
|
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਥਾਨ ॥
Ūcẖe ṯe ūcẖā jā kā thān.
His place is the highest of the high.
|
ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘਾ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥
Kot agẖā mitėh har nām. ||1||
Millions of sins are erased by the Name of the Lord. ||1||
|
ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Ŧis sarṇā▫ī saḏā sukẖ ho▫e.
In His Sanctuary, we find eternal peace.
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮੇਲੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar kirpā jā ka▫o melai so▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He Mercifully unites us with Himself. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਰਤਬ ਲਖੇ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
Jā ke karṯab lakẖe na jāhi.
His wondrous actions cannot even be described.
|
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
Jā kā bẖarvāsā sabẖ gẖat māhi.
All hearts rest their faith and hope in Him.
|
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਆ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Pargat bẖa▫i▫ā sāḏẖū kai sang.
He is manifest in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
|
ਭਗਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
Bẖagaṯ arāḏẖėh an▫ḏin rang. ||2||
The devotees lovingly worship and adore Him night and day. ||2||
|
ਦੇਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨਹੀ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
Ḏeḏe ṯot nahī bẖandār.
He gives, but His treasures are never exhausted.
|
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰ ॥
Kẖin mėh thāp uthāpanhārā.
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes.
|
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Jā kā hukam na metai ko▫e.
No one can erase the Hukam of His Command.
|
ਸਿਰਿ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥
Sir pāṯisāhā sācẖā so▫e. ||3||
The True Lord is above the heads of kings. ||3||
|
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
Jis kī ot ṯisai kī āsā.
He is my Anchor and Support; I place my hopes in Him.
