ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ
मधुसूदनु जपीऐ उर धारि ॥
Maḏẖusūḏan japī▫ai ur ḏẖār.
Enshrine Him in your heart, and meditate on the Lord.

ਦੇਹੀ ਨਗਰਿ ਤਸਕਰ ਪੰਚ ਧਾਤੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
देही नगरि तसकर पंच धातू गुर सबदी हरि काढे मारि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏehī nagar ṯaskar pancẖ ḏẖāṯū gur sabḏī har kādẖe mār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The five plundering thieves are in the body-village; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Lord has beaten them and driven them out. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ
जिन का हरि सेती मनु मानिआ तिन कारज हरि आपि सवारि ॥
Jin kā har seṯī man māni▫ā ṯin kāraj har āp savār.
Those whose minds are satisfied with the Lord - the Lord Himself resolves their affairs.

ਤਿਨ ਚੂਕੀ ਮੁਹਤਾਜੀ ਲੋਕਨ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
तिन चूकी मुहताजी लोकन की हरि अंगीकारु कीआ करतारि ॥२॥
Ŧin cẖūkī muhṯājī lokan kī har angīkār kī▫ā karṯār. ||2||
Their subservience and their dependence on other people is ended; the Creator Lord is on their side. ||2||

ਮਤਾ ਮਸੂਰਤਿ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਜੇ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ
मता मसूरति तां किछु कीजै जे किछु होवै हरि बाहरि ॥
Maṯā masūraṯ ṯāʼn kicẖẖ kījai je kicẖẖ hovai har bāhar.
If something were beyond the realm of the Lord's Power, only then would we have recourse to consult someone else.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਹੋਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
जो किछु करे सोई भल होसी हरि धिआवहु अनदिनु नामु मुरारि ॥३॥
Jo kicẖẖ karai so▫ī bẖal hosī har ḏẖi▫āvahu an▫ḏin nām murār. ||3||
Whatever the Lord does is good. Meditate on the Name of the Lord, night and day. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੇ ਓਹੁ ਪੂਛਿ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ
हरि जो किछु करे सु आपे आपे ओहु पूछि न किसै करे बीचारि ॥
Har jo kicẖẖ kare so āpe āpe oh pūcẖẖ na kisai kare bīcẖār.
Whatever the Lord does, He does by Himself. He does not ask or consult anyone else.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੇਲਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੧॥੫॥
नानक सो प्रभु सदा धिआईऐ जिनि मेलिआ सतिगुरु किरपा धारि ॥४॥१॥५॥
Nānak so parabẖ saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai jin meli▫ā saṯgur kirpā ḏẖār. ||4||1||5||
O Nanak, meditate forever on God; granting His Grace, He unites us with the True Guru. ||4||1||5||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ४ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 4.
Bhairao, Fourth Mehl:

ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਿਨ ਜਪਿਆ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਮਾਰੀ
ते साधू हरि मेलहु सुआमी जिन जपिआ गति होइ हमारी ॥
Ŧe sāḏẖū har melhu su▫āmī jin japi▫ā gaṯ ho▫e hamārī.
O my Lord and Master, please unite me with the Holy people; meditating on You, I am saved.

ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
तिन का दरसु देखि मनु बिगसै खिनु खिनु तिन कउ हउ बलिहारी ॥१॥
Ŧin kā ḏaras ḏekẖ man bigsai kẖin kẖin ṯin ka▫o ha▫o balihārī. ||1||
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, my mind blossoms forth. Each and every moment, I am a sacrifice to them. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ
हरि हिरदै जपि नामु मुरारी ॥
Har hirḏai jap nām murārī.
Meditate within your heart on the Name of the Lord.

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਕੀਜੈ ਪਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
क्रिपा क्रिपा करि जगत पित सुआमी हम दासनि दास कीजै पनिहारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kirpā kirpā kar jagaṯ piṯ su▫āmī ham ḏāsan ḏās kījai panihārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Show Mercy, Mercy to me, O Father of the World, O my Lord and Master; make me the water-carrier of the slave of Your slaves. ||1||Pause||

ਤਿਨ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਪਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਜਿਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ
तिन मति ऊतम तिन पति ऊतम जिन हिरदै वसिआ बनवारी ॥
Ŧin maṯ ūṯam ṯin paṯ ūṯam jin hirḏai vasi▫ā banvārī.
Their intellect is sublime and exalted, and so is their honor; the Lord, the Lord of the forest, abides within their hearts.

ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
तिन की सेवा लाइ हरि सुआमी तिन सिमरत गति होइ हमारी ॥२॥
Ŧin kī sevā lā▫e har su▫āmī ṯin simraṯ gaṯ ho▫e hamārī. ||2||
O my Lord and Master, please link me to the service of those who meditate in remembrance on You, and are saved. ||2||

ਜਿਨ ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਰੀ
जिन ऐसा सतिगुरु साधु न पाइआ ते हरि दरगह काढे मारी ॥
Jin aisā saṯgur sāḏẖ na pā▫i▫ā ṯe har ḏargėh kādẖe mārī.
Those who do not find such a Holy True Guru are beaten, and driven out of the Court of the Lord.

ਤੇ ਨਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਸੋਭ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਨਕ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
ते नर निंदक सोभ न पावहि तिन नक काटे सिरजनहारी ॥३॥
Ŧe nar ninḏak sobẖ na pāvahi ṯin nak kāte sirjanhārī. ||3||
These slanderous people have no honor or reputation; their noses are cut by the Creator Lord. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਬੋਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਨਿਰਾਹਾਰੀ
हरि आपि बुलावै आपे बोलै हरि आपि निरंजनु निरंकारु निराहारी ॥
Har āp bulāvai āpe bolai har āp niranjan nirankār nirāhārī.
The Lord Himself speaks, and the Lord Himself inspires all to speak; He is Immaculate and Formless, and needs no sustenance.

ਹਰਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਮਿਲਸੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਆ ਏਹਿ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੬॥
हरि जिसु तू मेलहि सो तुधु मिलसी जन नानक किआ एहि जंत विचारी ॥४॥२॥६॥
Har jis ṯū melėh so ṯuḏẖ milsī jan Nānak ki▫ā ehi janṯ vicẖārī. ||4||2||6||
O Lord, he alone meets You, whom You cause to meet. Says servant Nanak, I am a wretched creature. What can I do? ||4||2||6||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ४ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 4.
Bhairao, Fourth Mehl:

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਨਣੇ
सतसंगति साई हरि तेरी जितु हरि कीरति हरि सुनणे ॥
Saṯsangaṯ sā▫ī har ṯerī jiṯ har kīraṯ har sunṇe.
That is Your True Congregation, Lord, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are heard.

ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਨਾ ਤਿਨ ਹਮ ਸ੍ਰੇਵਹ ਨਿਤ ਚਰਣੇ ॥੧॥
जिन हरि नामु सुणिआ मनु भीना तिन हम स्रेवह नित चरणे ॥१॥
Jin har nām suṇi▫ā man bẖīnā ṯin ham sarevėh niṯ cẖarṇe. ||1||
The minds of those who listen to the Lord's Name are drenched with bliss; I worship their feet continually. ||1||

ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਤਰਣੇ
जगजीवनु हरि धिआइ तरणे ॥
Jagjīvan har ḏẖi▫ā▫e ṯarṇe.
Meditating on the Lord, the Life of the World, the mortals cross over.

ਅਨੇਕ ਅਸੰਖ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਹੀ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਇਤੁ ਗਨਣੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
अनेक असंख नाम हरि तेरे न जाही जिहवा इतु गनणे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Anek asaʼnkẖ nām har ṯere na jāhī jihvā iṯ ganṇe. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Your Names are so many, they are countless, O Lord. This tongue of mine cannot even count them. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਲੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਣੇ
गुरसिख हरि बोलहु हरि गावहु ले गुरमति हरि जपणे ॥
Gursikẖ har bolhu har gāvhu le gurmaṯ har japṇe.
O GurSikhs, chant the Lord's Name, and sing the Praises of the Lord. Take the Guru's Teachings, and meditate on the Lord.

ਜੋ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਘਣੇ ॥੨॥
जो उपदेसु सुणे गुर केरा सो जनु पावै हरि सुख घणे ॥२॥
Jo upḏes suṇe gur kerā so jan pāvai har sukẖ gẖaṇe. ||2||
Whoever listens to the Guru's Teachings - that humble being receives countless comforts and pleasures from the Lord. ||2||

ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਵੰਸੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਮਾਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨ ਜਣੇ
धंनु सु वंसु धंनु सु पिता धंनु सु माता जिनि जन जणे ॥
Ḏẖan so vans ḏẖan so piṯā ḏẖan so māṯā jin jan jaṇe.
Blessed is the ancestry, blessed is the father, and blessed is that mother who gave birth to this humble servant.

ਜਿਨ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਬਣੇ ॥੩॥
जिन सासि गिरासि धिआइआ मेरा हरि हरि से साची दरगह हरि जन बणे ॥३॥
Jin sās girās ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā merā har har se sācẖī ḏargėh har jan baṇe. ||3||
Those who meditate on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and morsel of food - those humble servants of the Lord look beautiful in the True Court of the Lord. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਰਣੇ
हरि हरि अगम नाम हरि तेरे विचि भगता हरि धरणे ॥
Har har agam nām har ṯere vicẖ bẖagṯā har ḏẖarṇe.
O Lord, Har, Har, Your Names are profound and infinite; Your devotees cherish them deep within.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਵਣੇ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥
नानक जनि पाइआ मति गुरमति जपि हरि हरि पारि पवणे ॥४॥३॥७॥
Nānak jan pā▫i▫ā maṯ gurmaṯ jap har har pār pavṇe. ||4||3||7||
Servant Nanak has obtained the wisdom of the Guru's Teachings; meditating on the Lord, Har, Har, he crosses over to the other side. ||4||3||7||
