ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਸੋਹੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੩॥
जिन मनि वसिआ से जन सोहे हिरदै नामु वसाए ॥३॥
Jin man vasi▫ā se jan sohe hirḏai nām vasā▫e. ||3||
Those whose minds are filled with the Naam are beautiful; they enshrine the Naam within their hearts. ||3||

ਘਰੁ ਦਰੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ
घरु दरु महलु सतिगुरू दिखाइआ रंग सिउ रलीआ माणै ॥
Gẖar ḏar mahal saṯgurū ḏikẖā▫i▫ā rang si▫o ralī▫ā māṇai.
The True Guru has revealed to me the Lord's Home and His Court, and the Mansion of His Presence. I joyfully enjoy His Love.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੬॥
जो किछु कहै सु भला करि मानै नानक नामु वखाणै ॥४॥६॥१६॥
Jo kicẖẖ kahai so bẖalā kar mānai Nānak nām vakẖāṇai. ||4||6||16||
Whatever He says, I accept as good; Nanak chants the Naam. ||4||6||16||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ३ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 3.
Bhairao, Third Mehl:

ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ
मनसा मनहि समाइ लै गुर सबदी वीचार ॥
Mansā manėh samā▫e lai gur sabḏī vīcẖār.
The desires of the mind are absorbed in the mind, contemplating the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਵੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰ ॥੧॥
गुर पूरे ते सोझी पवै फिरि मरै न वारो वार ॥१॥
Gur pūre ṯe sojẖī pavai fir marai na vāro vār. ||1||
Understanding is obtained from the Perfect Guru, and then the mortal does not die over and over again. ||1||

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ
मन मेरे राम नामु आधारु ॥
Man mere rām nām āḏẖār.
My mind takes the Support of the Lord's Name.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुर परसादि परम पदु पाइआ सभ इछ पुजावणहारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur parsāḏ param paḏ pā▫i▫ā sabẖ icẖẖ pujāvaṇhār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
By Guru's Grace, I have obtained the supreme status; the Lord is the Fulfiller of all desires. ||1||Pause||

ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝ ਪਾਇ
सभ महि एको रवि रहिआ गुर बिनु बूझ न पाइ ॥
Sabẖ mėh eko rav rahi▫ā gur bin būjẖ na pā▫e.
The One Lord is permeating and pervading amongst all; without the Guru, this understanding is not obtained.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੨॥
गुरमुखि प्रगटु होआ मेरा हरि प्रभु अनदिनु हरि गुण गाइ ॥२॥
Gurmukẖ pargat ho▫ā merā har parabẖ an▫ḏin har guṇ gā▫e. ||2||
My Lord God has been revealed to me, and I have become Gurmukh. Night and day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||

ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਹਿ
सुखदाता हरि एकु है होर थै सुखु न पाहि ॥
Sukẖ▫ḏāṯa har ek hai hor thai sukẖ na pāhi.
The One Lord is the Giver of peace; peace is not found anywhere else.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਦਾਤਾ ਸੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਏ ਪਛੁਤਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
सतिगुरु जिनी न सेविआ दाता से अंति गए पछुताहि ॥३॥
Saṯgur jinī na sevi▫ā ḏāṯā se anṯ ga▫e pacẖẖuṯāhi. ||3||
Those who do not serve the Giver, the True Guru, depart regretfully in the end. ||3||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਧਾਇ
सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ फिरि दुखु न लागै धाइ ॥
Saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā fir ḏukẖ na lāgai ḏẖā▫e.
Serving the True Guru, lasting peace is obtained, and the mortal does not suffer in pain any longer.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੭॥
नानक हरि भगति परापति होई जोती जोति समाइ ॥४॥७॥१७॥
Nānak har bẖagaṯ parāpaṯ ho▫ī joṯī joṯ samā▫e. ||4||7||17||
Nanak has been blessed with devotional worship of the Lord; his light has merged into the Light. ||4||7||17||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ३ ॥
Bẖairo mėhlā 3.
Bhairao, Third Mehl:

ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਗਤੁ ਬਉਰਾਨਾ ਭੂਲਾ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਈ
बाझु गुरू जगतु बउराना भूला चोटा खाई ॥
Bājẖ gurū jagaṯ ba▫urānā bẖūlā cẖotā kẖā▫ī.
Without the Guru, the world is insane; confused and deluded, it is beaten, and it suffers.

ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਦਰ ਕੀ ਖਬਰਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
मरि मरि जमै सदा दुखु पाए दर की खबरि न पाई ॥१॥
Mar mar jammai saḏā ḏukẖ pā▫e ḏar kī kẖabar na pā▫ī. ||1||
It dies and dies again, and is reborn, always in pain, but it is unaware of the Lord's Gate. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾ
मेरे मन सदा रहहु सतिगुर की सरणा ॥
Mere man saḏā rahhu saṯgur kī sarṇā.
O my mind, remain always in the Protection of the True Guru's Sanctuary.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਸਦ ਲਾਗਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੇ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हिरदै हरि नामु मीठा सद लागा गुर सबदे भवजलु तरणा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Hirḏai har nām mīṯẖā saḏ lāgā gur sabḏe bẖavjal ṯarṇā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Those people, to whose hearts the Lord's Name seems sweet, are carried across the terrifying world-ocean by the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||1||Pause||

ਭੇਖ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਚਿਤੁ ਡੋਲੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ
भेख करै बहुतु चितु डोलै अंतरि कामु क्रोधु अहंकारु ॥
Bẖekẖ karai bahuṯ cẖiṯ dolai anṯar kām kroḏẖ ahaʼnkār.
The mortal wears various religious robes, but his consciousness is unsteady; deep within, he is filled with sexual desire, anger and egotism.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤਿਸਾ ਭੂਖ ਅਤਿ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਭਉਕਤ ਫਿਰੈ ਦਰ ਬਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
अंतरि तिसा भूख अति बहुती भउकत फिरै दर बारु ॥२॥
Anṯar ṯisā bẖūkẖ aṯ bahuṯī bẖa▫ukaṯ firai ḏar bār. ||2||
Deep within is the great thirst and immense hunger; he wanders from door to door. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ
गुर कै सबदि मरहि फिरि जीवहि तिन कउ मुकति दुआरि ॥
Gur kai sabaḏ marėh fir jīvėh ṯin ka▫o mukaṯ ḏu▫ār.
Those who die in the Word of the Guru's Shabad are reborn; they find the door of liberation.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
अंतरि सांति सदा सुखु होवै हरि राखिआ उर धारि ॥३॥
Anṯar sāʼnṯ saḏā sukẖ hovai har rākẖi▫ā ur ḏẖār. ||3||
With constant peace and tranquility deep within, they enshrine the Lord within their hearts. ||3||

ਜਿਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਵੈ ਕਰਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਜਾਈ
जिउ तिसु भावै तिवै चलावै करणा किछू न जाई ॥
Ji▫o ṯis bẖāvai ṯivai cẖalāvai karṇā kicẖẖū na jā▫ī.
As it pleases Him, He inspires us to act. Nothing else can be done.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੮॥
नानक गुरमुखि सबदु सम्हाले राम नामि वडिआई ॥४॥८॥१८॥
Nānak gurmukẖ sabaḏ samĥāle rām nām vadi▫ā▫ī. ||4||8||18||
O Nanak, the Gurmukh contemplates the Word of the Shabad, and is blessed with the glorious greatness of the Lord's Name. ||4||8||18||

ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ
भैरउ महला ३ ॥

Bhairao, Third Mehl:

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਖੁਆਇਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਖਟੇ ਦੁਖ ਖਾਇ
हउमै माइआ मोहि खुआइआ दुखु खटे दुख खाइ ॥
Ha▫umai mā▫i▫ā mohi kẖu▫ā▫i▫ā ḏukẖ kẖate ḏukẖ kẖā▫e.
Lost in egotism, Maya and attachment, the mortal earns pain, and eats pain.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭ ਹਲਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਭਰਮਾਇ ॥੧॥
अंतरि लोभ हलकु दुखु भारी बिनु बिबेक भरमाइ ॥१॥
Anṯar lobẖ halak ḏukẖ bẖārī bin bibek bẖarmā▫e. ||1||
The great disease, the rabid disease of greed, is deep within him; he wanders around indiscriminately. ||1||

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਸੈਸਾਰਿ
मनमुखि ध्रिगु जीवणु सैसारि ॥
Manmukẖ ḏẖarig jīvaṇ saisār.
The life of the self-willed manmukh in this world is cursed.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਕਦੇ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
राम नामु सुपनै नही चेतिआ हरि सिउ कदे न लागै पिआरु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rām nām supnai nahī cẖeṯi▫ā har si▫o kaḏe na lāgai pi▫ār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He does not remember the Lord's Name, even in his dreams. He is never in love with the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||

ਪਸੂਆ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੈ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕੂੜੋ ਹੋਇ
पसूआ करम करै नही बूझै कूड़ु कमावै कूड़ो होइ ॥
Pasū▫ā karam karai nahī būjẖai kūṛ kamāvai kūṛo ho▫e.
He acts like a beast, and does not understand anything. Practicing falsehood, he becomes false.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਉਲਟੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥
सतिगुरु मिलै त उलटी होवै खोजि लहै जनु कोइ ॥२॥
Saṯgur milai ṯa ultī hovai kẖoj lahai jan ko▫e. ||2||
But when the mortal meets the True Guru, his way of looking at the world changes. How rare are those humble beings who seek and find the Lord. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਦ ਵਸਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ
हरि हरि नामु रिदै सद वसिआ पाइआ गुणी निधानु ॥
Har har nām riḏai saḏ vasi▫ā pā▫i▫ā guṇī niḏẖān.
That person, whose heart is forever filled with the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, obtains the Lord, the Treasure of Virtue.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਚੂਕਾ ਮਨ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
गुर परसादी पूरा पाइआ चूका मन अभिमानु ॥३॥
Gur parsādī pūrā pā▫i▫ā cẖūkā man abẖimān. ||3||
By Guru's Grace, he finds the Perfect Lord; the egotistical pride of his mind is eradicated. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ
आपे करता करे कराए आपे मारगि पाए ॥
Āpe karṯā kare karā▫e āpe mārag pā▫e.
The Creator Himself acts, and causes all to act. He Himself places us on the path.
