ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਘੜਿ ਭੰਨਿ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੫॥੬॥
Ŧūʼn āpe hī gẖaṛ bẖann savārėh Nānak nām suhāvaṇi▫ā. ||8||5||6||
You Yourself create, destroy and adorn. O Nanak, we are adorned and embellished with the Naam. ||8||5||6||

Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh, Third Mehl:
|
ਸਭ ਘਟ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
Sabẖ gẖat āpe bẖogaṇhārā.
He is the Enjoyer of all hearts.
|
ਅਲਖੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
Alakẖ varṯai agam apārā.
The Invisible, Inaccessible and Infinite is pervading everywhere.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
Gur kai sabaḏ merā har parabẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sėhje sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
Meditating on my Lord God, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I am intuitively absorbed in the Truth. ||1||
|
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī gur sabaḏ man vasāvaṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who implant the Word of the Guru's Shabad in their minds.

ਸਬਦੁ ਸੂਝੈ ਤਾ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਲੂਝੈ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sabaḏ sūjẖai ṯā man si▫o lūjẖai mansā mār samāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
When someone understands the Shabad, then he wrestles with his own mind; subduing his desires, he merges with the Lord. ||1||Pause||
|
ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਮੁਹਹਿ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
Pancẖ ḏūṯ muhėh sansārā.
The five enemies are plundering the world.
|
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧੇ ਸੁਧਿ ਨ ਸਾਰਾ ॥
Manmukẖ anḏẖe suḏẖ na sārā.
The blind, self-willed manmukhs do not understand or appreciate this.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਅਪਣਾ ਘਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਚਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
Gurmukẖ hovai so apṇā gẖar rākẖai pancẖ ḏūṯ sabaḏ pacẖāvaṇi▫ā. ||2||
Those who become Gurmukh-their houses are protected. The five enemies are destroyed by the Shabad. ||2||
|
ਇਕਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
Ik gurmukẖ saḏā sacẖai rang rāṯe.
The Gurmukhs are forever imbued with love for the True One.
|
ਸਹਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਾਤੇ ॥
Sėhje parabẖ sevėh an▫ḏin māṯe.
They serve God with intuitive ease. Night and day, they are intoxicated with His Love.

ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
Mil parīṯam sacẖe guṇ gāvahi har ḏar sobẖā pāvṇi▫ā. ||3||
Meeting with their Beloved, they sing the Glorious Praises of the True one; they are honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3||
|
ਏਕਮ ਏਕੈ ਆਪੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
Ėkam ekai āp upā▫i▫ā.
First, the One created Himself;
|
ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Ḏubiḏẖā ḏūjā ṯaribaḏẖ mā▫i▫ā.
second, the sense of duality; third, the three-phased Maya.
|
ਚਉਥੀ ਪਉੜੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਊਚੀ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
Cẖa▫uthī pa▫oṛī gurmukẖ ūcẖī sacẖo sacẖ kamāvaṇi▫ā. ||4||
The fourth state, the highest, is obtained by the Gurmukh, who practices Truth, and only Truth. ||4||
|
ਸਭੁ ਹੈ ਸਚਾ ਜੇ ਸਚੇ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Sabẖ hai sacẖā je sacẖe bẖāvai.
Everything which is pleasing to the True Lord is true.
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਸੋ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
Jin sacẖ jāṯā so sahj samāvai.
Those who know the Truth merge in intuitive peace and poise.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਚੇ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਜਾਇ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
Gurmukẖ karṇī sacẖe sevėh sācẖe jā▫e samāvaṇi▫ā. ||5||
The life-style of the Gurmukh is to serve the True Lord. He goes and blends with the True Lord. ||5||
|
ਸਚੇ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਆ ॥
Sacẖe bājẖahu ko avar na ḏū▫ā.
Without the True One, there is no other at all.
|
ਦੂਜੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਜਗੁ ਖਪਿ ਖਪਿ ਮੂਆ ॥
Ḏūjai lāg jag kẖap kẖap mū▫ā.
Attached to duality, the world is distracted and distressed to death.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਏਕੋ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
Gurmukẖ hovai so eko jāṇai eko sev sukẖ pāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
One who becomes Gurmukh knows only the One. Serving the One, peace is obtained. ||6||
|
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ॥
Jī▫a janṯ sabẖ saraṇ ṯumārī.
All beings and creatures are in the Protection of Your Sanctuary.
|
ਆਪੇ ਧਰਿ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਕਚੀ ਪਕੀ ਸਾਰੀ ॥
Āpe ḏẖar ḏekẖėh kacẖī pakī sārī.
You place the chessmen on the board; You see the imperfect and the perfect as well.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
An▫ḏin āpe kār karā▫e āpe mel milāvaṇi▫ā. ||7||
Night and day, You cause people to act; You unite them in Union with Yourself. ||7||
|
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਵੇਖਹਿ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥
Ŧūʼn āpe melėh vekẖėh haḏūr.
You Yourself unite, and You see Yourself close at hand.
|
ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
Sabẖ mėh āp rahi▫ā bẖarpūr.
You Yourself are totally pervading amongst all.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੬॥੭॥
Nānak āpe āp varṯai gurmukẖ sojẖī pāvṇi▫ā. ||8||6||7||
O Nanak, God Himself is pervading and permeating everywhere; only the Gurmukhs understand this. ||8||6||7||

Maajh, Third Mehl:
|
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮੀਠੀ ॥
Amriṯ baṇī gur kī mīṯẖī.
The Nectar of the Guru's Bani is very sweet.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਕਿਨੈ ਚਖਿ ਡੀਠੀ ॥
Gurmukẖ virlai kinai cẖakẖ dīṯẖī.
Rare are the Gurmukhs who see and taste it.
|
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵੈ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
Anṯar pargās mahā ras pīvai ḏar sacẖai sabaḏ vajāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
The Divine Light dawns within, and the supreme essence is found. In the True Court, the Word of the Shabad vibrates. ||1||
|
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī gur cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lāvaṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who focus their consciousness on the Guru's Feet.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saṯgur hai amriṯ sar sācẖā man nāvai mail cẖukāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The True Guru is the True Pool of Nectar; bathing in it, the mind is washed clean of all filth. ||1||Pause||
|
ਤੇਰਾ ਸਚੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Ŧerā sacẖe kinai anṯ na pā▫i▫ā.
Your limits, O True Lord, are not known to anyone.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
Gur parsāḏ kinai virlai cẖiṯ lā▫i▫ā.
Rare are those who, by Guru's Grace, focus their consciousness on You.
|
ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ ਨ ਰਜਾ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਸਚੇ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੀ ਭੁਖ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
Ŧuḏẖ sālāhi na rajā kabahūʼn sacẖe nāvai kī bẖukẖ lāvaṇi▫ā. ||2||
Praising You, I am never satisfied; such is the hunger I feel for the True Name. ||2||
|
ਏਕੋ ਵੇਖਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਬੀਆ ॥
Ėko vekẖā avar na bī▫ā.
I see only the One, and no other.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆ ॥
Gur parsādī amriṯ pī▫ā.
By Guru's Grace, I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਿਖਾ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਸੂਖਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
Gur kai sabaḏ ṯikẖā nivārī sėhje sūkẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||3||
My thirst is quenched by the Word of the Guru's Shabad; I am absorbed in intuitive peace and poise. ||3||
|
ਰਤਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਲਰਿ ਤਿਆਗੈ ॥
Raṯan paḏārath palar ṯi▫āgai.
The Priceless Jewel is discarded like straw;
|
ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
Manmukẖ anḏẖā ḏūjai bẖā▫e lāgai.
the blind self-willed manmukhs are attached to the love of duality.
|
ਜੋ ਬੀਜੈ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
Jo bījai so▫ī fal pā▫e supnai sukẖ na pāvṇi▫ā. ||4||
As they plant, so do they harvest. They shall not obtain peace, even in their dreams. ||4||
|
ਅਪਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
Apnī kirpā kare so▫ī jan pā▫e.
Those who are blessed with His Mercy find the Lord.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ man vasā▫e.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad abides in the mind.
