ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਦੀ ਫਿਰੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਬਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
An▫ḏin jalḏī firai ḏin rāṯī bin pir baho ḏukẖ pāvṇi▫ā. ||2||
Night and day, day and night, they burn. Without her Husband Lord, the soul-bride suffers in terrible pain. ||2||
|
ਦੇਹੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਨ ਆਗੈ ਜਾਏ ॥
Ḏehī jāṯ na āgai jā▫e.
Her body and her status shall not go with her to the world hereafter.
|
ਜਿਥੈ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗੀਐ ਤਿਥੈ ਛੁਟੈ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਏ ॥
Jithai lekẖā mangī▫ai ṯithai cẖẖutai sacẖ kamā▫e.
Where she is called to answer for her account, there, she shall be emancipated only by true actions.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤੇ ਐਥੈ ਓਥੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
Saṯgur sevan se ḏẖanvanṯe aithai othai nām samāvaṇi▫ā. ||3||
Those who serve the True Guru shall prosper; here and hereafter, they are absorbed in the Naam. ||3||
|
ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਏ ॥
Bẖai bẖā▫e sīgār baṇā▫e.
She who adorns herself with the Love and the Fear of God,
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਹਲੁ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
Gur parsādī mahal gẖar pā▫e.
by Guru's Grace, obtains the Mansion of the Lord's Presence as her home.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਜੀਠੈ ਰੰਗੁ ਬਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
An▫ḏin saḏā ravai ḏin rāṯī majīṯẖai rang baṇāvaṇi▫ā. ||4||
Night and day, day and night, she constantly ravishes and enjoys her Beloved. She is dyed in the permanent color of His Love. ||4||
|
ਸਭਨਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
Sabẖnā pir vasai saḏā nāle.
The Husband Lord abides with everyone, always;
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਕੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੇ ॥
Gur parsādī ko naḏar nihāle.
but how rare are those few who, by Guru's Grace, obtain His Glance of Grace.
|
ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਤਿ ਊਚੋ ਊਚਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
Merā parabẖ aṯ ūcẖo ūcẖā kar kirpā āp milāvaṇi▫ā. ||5||
My God is the Highest of the High; granting His Grace, He merges us into Himself. ||5||
|
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਸੁਤਾ ॥
Mā▫i▫ā mohi ih jag suṯā.
This world is asleep in emotional attachment to Maya.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਵਿਗੁਤਾ ॥
Nām visār anṯ viguṯā.
Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, it ultimately comes to ruin.
|
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਸੁਤਾ ਸੋ ਜਾਗਾਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
Jis ṯe suṯā so jāgā▫e gurmaṯ sojẖī pāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
The One who put it to sleep shall also awaken it. Through the Guru's Teachings, understanding dawns. ||6||
|
ਅਪਿਉ ਪੀਐ ਸੋ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Api▫o pī▫ai so bẖaram gavā▫e.
One who drinks in this Nectar, shall have his delusions dispelled.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
Gur parsāḏ mukaṯ gaṯ pā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, the state of liberation is attained.
|
ਭਗਤੀ ਰਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
Bẖagṯī raṯā saḏā bairāgī āp mār milāvaṇi▫ā. ||7||
One who is imbued with devotion to the Lord, remains always balanced and detached. Subduing selfishness and conceit, he is united with the Lord. ||7||
|
ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਏ ਧੰਧੈ ਲਾਏ ॥
Āp upā▫e ḏẖanḏẖai lā▫e.
He Himself creates, and He Himself assigns us to our tasks.
|
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਆਪਿ ਅਪੜਾਏ ॥
Lakẖ cẖa▫urāsī rijak āp apṛā▫e.
He Himself gives sustenance to the 8.4 million species of beings.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੁ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੪॥੫॥
Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e sacẖ rāṯe jo ṯis bẖāvai so kār karāvaṇi▫ā. ||8||4||5||
O Nanak, those who meditate on the Naam are attuned to Truth. They do that which is pleasing to His Will. ||8||4||5||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥
Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh, Third Mehl:
|
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੀਰਾ ਲਾਲੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥
Anḏar hīrā lāl baṇā▫i▫ā.
Diamonds and rubies are produced deep within the self.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਰਖਿ ਪਰਖਾਇਆ ॥
Gur kai sabaḏ parakẖ parkẖā▫i▫ā.
They are assayed and valued through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
|
ਜਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਪਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਕਸਵਟੀ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
Jin sacẖ palai sacẖ vakāṇėh sacẖ kasvatī lāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
Those who have gathered Truth, speak Truth; they apply the Touch-stone of Truth. ||1||
|
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī gur kī baṇī man vasāvaṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Word of the Guru's Bani within their minds.

ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Anjan māhi niranjan pā▫i▫ā joṯī joṯ milāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In the midst of the darkness of the world, they obtain the Immaculate One, and their light merges into the Light. ||1||Pause||
|
ਇਸੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
Is kā▫i▫ā anḏar bahuṯ pasārā.
Within this body are countless vast vistas;
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
Nām niranjan aṯ agam apārā.
the Immaculate Naam is totally Inaccessible and Infinite.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
Gurmukẖ hovai so▫ī pā▫e āpe bakẖas milāvaṇi▫ā. ||2||
He alone becomes Gurmukh and obtains it, whom the Lord forgives, and unites with Himself. ||2||
|
ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥
Merā ṯẖākur sacẖ driṛ▫ā▫e.
My Lord and Master implants the Truth.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਚਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
Gur parsādī sacẖ cẖiṯ lā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, one's consciousness is attached to the Truth.
|
ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
Sacẖo sacẖ varṯai sabẖnī thā▫ī sacẖe sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||3||
The Truest of the True is pervading everywhere; the true ones merge in Truth. ||3||
|
ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥
veparvāhu sacẖ merā pi▫ārā.
The True Carefree Lord is my Beloved.
|
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਅਵਗਣ ਕਾਟਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
Kilvikẖ avgaṇ kātaṇhārā.
He cuts out our sinful mistakes and evil actions;
|
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
Parem parīṯ saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai bẖai bẖā▫e bẖagaṯ ḏariṛāvṇi▫ā. ||4||
with love and affection, meditate forever on Him. He implants the Fear of God and loving devotional worship within us. ||4||
|
ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਜੇ ਸਚੇ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Ŧerī bẖagaṯ sacẖī je sacẖe bẖāvai.
Devotional worship is True, if it pleases the True Lord.
|
ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਨ ਪਛੋਤਾਵੈ ॥
Āpe ḏe▫e na pacẖẖoṯāvai.
He Himself bestows it; He does not regret it later.
|
ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਬਦੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
Sabẖnā jī▫ā kā eko ḏāṯā sabḏe mār jīvāvṇi▫ā. ||5||
He alone is the Giver of all beings. The Lord kills with the Word of His Shabad, and then revives. ||5||
|
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਮੈ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
Har ṯuḏẖ bājẖahu mai ko▫ī nāhī.
Other than You, Lord, nothing is mine.
|
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਸੇਵੀ ਤੈ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥
Har ṯuḏẖai sevī ṯai ṯuḏẖ sālāhī.
I serve You, Lord, and I praise You.
|
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਚੇ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
Āpe mel laihu parabẖ sācẖe pūrai karam ṯūʼn pāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
You unite me with Yourself, O True God. Through perfect good karma You are obtained. ||6||
|
ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਧੈ ਜੇਹਾ ॥
Mai hor na ko▫ī ṯuḏẖai jehā.
For me, there is no other like You.
|
ਤੇਰੀ ਨਦਰੀ ਸੀਝਸਿ ਦੇਹਾ ॥
Ŧerī naḏrī sījẖas ḏehā.
By Your Glance of Grace, my body is blessed and sanctified.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
An▫ḏin sār samāl har rākẖahi gurmukẖ sahj samāvaṇi▫ā. ||7||
Night and day, the Lord takes care of us and protects us. The Gurmukhs are absorbed in intuitive peace and poise. ||7||
|
ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
Ŧuḏẖ jevad mai hor na ko▫ī.
For me, there is no other as Great as You.
|
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਿਰਜੀ ਆਪੇ ਗੋਈ ॥
Ŧuḏẖ āpe sirjī āpe go▫ī.
You Yourself create, and You Yourself destroy.
