ਅੰਤਰ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਜੋਰੁ ਤੂ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਨਤਾ ਇਹੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਆਪਨ ਗਹੁ ਰੇ ॥
अंतर का अभिमानु जोरु तू किछु किछु किछु जानता इहु दूरि करहु आपन गहु रे ॥
Anṯar kā abẖimān jor ṯū kicẖẖ kicẖẖ kicẖẖ jānṯā ih ḏūr karahu āpan gahu re.
So you think that the egotistical pride in power which you harbor deep within is everything. Let it go, and restrain your self-conceit.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੨॥
जन नानक कउ हरि दइआल होहु सुआमी हरि संतन की धूरि करि हरे ॥२॥१॥२॥
Jan Nānak ka▫o har ḏa▫i▫āl hohu su▫āmī har sanṯan kī ḏẖūr kar hare. ||2||1||2||
Please be kind to servant Nanak, O Lord, my Lord and Master; please make him the dust of the Feet of the Saints. ||2||1||2||

ਮਾਈ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਗੀ ॥
माई संतसंगि जागी ॥
Mā▫ī saṯsang jāgī.
O mother, I have awakened in the Society of the Saints.
|
ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੰਗ ਦੇਖੈ ਜਪਤੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
प्रिअ रंग देखै जपती नामु निधानी ॥ रहाउ ॥
Pari▫a rang ḏekẖai japṯī nām niḏẖānī. Rahā▫o.
Seeing the Love of my Beloved, I chant His Name, the greatest treasure ||Pause||

ਦਰਸਨ ਪਿਆਸ ਲੋਚਨ ਤਾਰ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
दरसन पिआस लोचन तार लागी ॥
Ḏarsan pi▫ās locẖan ṯār lāgī.
I am so thirsty for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. my eyes are focused on Him;

ਬਿਸਰੀ ਤਿਆਸ ਬਿਡਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
बिसरी तिआस बिडानी ॥१॥
Bisrī ṯi▫ās bidānī. ||1||
I have forgotten other thirsts. ||1||
|
ਅਬ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਹੈ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਮਨੁ ਲਪਟਾਨੀ ॥
अब गुरु पाइओ है सहज सुखदाइक दरसनु पेखत मनु लपटानी ॥
Ab gur pā▫i▫o hai sahj sukẖ▫ḏā▫ik ḏarsan pekẖaṯ man laptānī.
Now, I have found my Peace-giving Guru with ease; seeing His Darshan, my mind clings to Him.

ਦੇਖਿ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਰਹਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੧॥
देखि दमोदर रहसु मनि उपजिओ नानक प्रिअ अम्रित बानी ॥२॥१॥
Ḏekẖ ḏamoḏar rahas man upji▫o Nānak pari▫a amriṯ bānī. ||2||1||
Seeing my Lord, joy has welled up in my mind; O Nanak, the speech of my Beloved is so sweet! ||2||1||

Please listen to the prayers of the humble, O Merciful Lord.

ਪੰਚ ਦਾਸ ਤੀਨਿ ਦੋਖੀ ਏਕ ਮਨੁ ਅਨਾਥ ਨਾਥ ॥
पंच दास तीनि दोखी एक मनु अनाथ नाथ ॥
Pancẖ ḏās ṯīn ḏokẖī ek man anāth nāth.
The five thieves and the three dispositions torment my mind.

ਰਾਖੁ ਹੋ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राखु हो किरपाल ॥ रहाउ ॥
Rākẖ ho kirpāl. Rahā▫o.
O Merciful Lord, Master of the masterless, please save me from them. ||Pause||
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਗਵਨੁ ਕਰਉ ॥
अनिक जतन गवनु करउ ॥
Anik jaṯan gavan kara▫o.
I make all sorts of efforts and go on pilgrimages;
|
ਖਟੁ ਕਰਮ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਉ ॥
खटु करम जुगति धिआनु धरउ ॥
Kẖat karam jugaṯ ḏẖi▫ān ḏẖara▫o.
I perform the six rituals, and meditate in the right way.

ਉਪਾਵ ਸਗਲ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਨਹ ਨਹ ਹੁਟਹਿ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ॥੧॥
उपाव सगल करि हारिओ नह नह हुटहि बिकराल ॥१॥
Upāv sagal kar hāri▫o nah nah hutėh bikrāl. ||1||
I am so tired of making all these efforts, but the horrible demons still do not leave me. ||1||
|
ਸਰਣਿ ਬੰਦਨ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਪਤੇ ॥
सरणि बंदन करुणा पते ॥
Saraṇ banḏan karuṇā paṯe.
I seek Your Sanctuary, and bow to You, O Compassionate Lord.
|
ਭਵ ਹਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥
भव हरण हरि हरि हरि हरे ॥
Bẖav haraṇ har har har hare.
You are the Destroyer of fear, O Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har.
|
ਏਕ ਤੂਹੀ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
एक तूही दीन दइआल ॥
Ėk ṯūhī ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl.
You alone are Merciful to the meek.
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਸਰੋ ॥
प्रभ चरन नानक आसरो ॥
Parabẖ cẖaran Nānak āsro.
Nanak takes the Support of God's Feet.
|
ਉਧਰੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਸਾਗਰ ॥
उधरे भ्रम मोह सागर ॥
Uḏẖre bẖaram moh sāgar.
I have been rescued from the ocean of doubt,

ਲਗਿ ਸੰਤਨਾ ਪਗ ਪਾਲ ॥੨॥੧॥੨॥
लगि संतना पग पाल ॥२॥१॥२॥
Lag sanṯnā pag pāl. ||2||1||2||
holding tight to the feet and the robes of the Saints. ||2||1||2||

ਸਰਨੀ ਆਇਓ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
सरनी आइओ नाथ निधान ॥
Sarnī ā▫i▫o nāth niḏẖān.
I have come to Your Sanctuary, O Lord, O Supreme Treasure.
|
ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਮਾਗਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
नाम प्रीति लागी मन भीतरि मागन कउ हरि दान ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Nām parīṯ lāgī man bẖīṯar māgan ka▫o har ḏān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Love for the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is enshrined within my mind; I beg for the gift of Your Name. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਮਾਨ ॥
सुखदाई पूरन परमेसुर करि किरपा राखहु मान ॥
Sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī pūran parmesur kar kirpā rākẖo mān.
O Perfect Transcendent Lord, Giver of Peace, please grant Your Grace and save my honor.

ਦੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਰਸਨ ਬਖਾਨ ॥੧॥
देहु प्रीति साधू संगि सुआमी हरि गुन रसन बखान ॥१॥
Ḏeh parīṯ sāḏẖū sang su▫āmī har gun rasan bakẖān. ||1||
Please bless me with such love, O my Lord and Master, that in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I may chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord with my tongue. ||1||

ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਥਾ ਗਿਆਨ ॥
गोपाल दइआल गोबिद दमोदर निरमल कथा गिआन ॥
Gopāl ḏa▫i▫āl gobiḏ ḏamoḏar nirmal kathā gi▫ān.
O Lord of the World, Merciful Lord of the Universe, Your sermon and spiritual wisdom are immaculate and pure.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਗਹੁ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਧਿਆਨ ॥੨॥੧॥੩॥
नानक कउ हरि कै रंगि रागहु चरन कमल संगि धिआन ॥२॥१॥३॥
Nānak ka▫o har kai rang rāgahu cẖaran kamal sang ḏẖi▫ān. ||2||1||3||
Please attune Nanak to Your Love, O Lord, and focus his meditation on Your Lotus Feet. ||2||1||3||

My mind yearns for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करि किरपा सतसंगि मिलावहु तुम देवहु अपनो नाउ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Kar kirpā saṯsang milāvhu ṯum ḏevhu apno nā▫o. Rahā▫o.
Please grant Your Grace, and unite me with the Society of the Saints; please bless me with Your Name. ||Pause||

ਕਰਉ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਤ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਤਤ ਮਨਿ ਰਹਸਾਉ ॥
करउ सेवा सत पुरख पिआरे जत सुनीऐ तत मनि रहसाउ ॥
Kara▫o sevā saṯ purakẖ pi▫āre jaṯ sunī▫ai ṯaṯ man rahsā▫o.
I serve my True Beloved Lord. Wherever I hear His Praise, there my mind is in ecstasy.
