ਮੇਰੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਗਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਤ ਚਵਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
मेरै अंतरि होइ विगासु प्रिउ प्रिउ सचु नित चवा राम ॥
Merai anṯar ho▫e vigās pari▫o pari▫o sacẖ niṯ cẖavā rām.
My inner being blossoms forth; I continually utter, "Pri-o! Pri-o! Beloved! Beloved!

ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਚਵਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਏ ॥
प्रिउ चवा पिआरे सबदि निसतारे बिनु देखे त्रिपति न आवए ॥
Pari▫o cẖavā pi▫āre sabaḏ nisṯāre bin ḏekẖe ṯaripaṯ na āv▫e.
I speak of my Dear Beloved, and through the Shabad, I am saved. Unless I can see Him, I am not satisfied.

ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਏ ॥
सबदि सीगारु होवै नित कामणि हरि हरि नामु धिआवए ॥
Sabaḏ sīgār hovai niṯ kāmaṇ har har nām ḏẖi▫āv▫e.
That soul-bride who is ever adorned with the Shabad, meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਦਇਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
दइआ दानु मंगत जन दीजै मै प्रीतमु देहु मिलाए ॥
Ḏa▫i▫ā ḏān mangaṯ jan ḏījai mai parīṯam ḏeh milā▫e.
Please bless this beggar, Your humble servant, with the Gift of Mercy; please unite me with my Beloved.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਹਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਘੁਮਾਏ ॥੨॥
अनदिनु गुरु गोपालु धिआई हम सतिगुर विटहु घुमाए ॥२॥
An▫ḏin gur gopāl ḏẖi▫ā▫ī ham saṯgur vitahu gẖumā▫e. ||2||
Night and day, I meditate on the Guru, the Lord of the World; I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||2||

ਹਮ ਪਾਥਰ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਵ ਬਿਖੁ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਾਰੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
हम पाथर गुरु नाव बिखु भवजलु तारीऐ राम ॥
Ham pāthar gur nāv bikẖ bẖavjal ṯārī▫ai rām.
I am a stone in the Boat of the Guru. Please carry me across the terrifying ocean of poison.

ਗੁਰ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਮੈ ਮੂੜ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुर देवहु सबदु सुभाइ मै मूड़ निसतारीऐ राम ॥
Gur ḏevhu sabaḏ subẖā▫e mai mūṛ nisṯārī▫ai rām.
O Guru, please, lovingly bless me with the Word of the Shabad. I am such a fool - please save me!

ਹਮ ਮੂੜ ਮੁਗਧ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈ ਤੂ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਵਡ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
हम मूड़ मुगध किछु मिति नही पाई तू अगमु वड जाणिआ ॥
Ham mūṛ mugaḏẖ kicẖẖ miṯ nahī pā▫ī ṯū agamm vad jāṇi▫ā.
I am a fool and an idiot; I know nothing of Your extent. You are known as Inaccessible and Great.

ਤੂ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ॥
तू आपि दइआलु दइआ करि मेलहि हम निरगुणी निमाणिआ ॥
Ŧū āp ḏa▫i▫āl ḏa▫i▫ā kar melėh ham nirguṇī nimāṇi▫ā.
You Yourself are Merciful; please, mercifully bless me. I am unworthy and dishonored - please, unite me with Yourself!

ਅਨੇਕ ਜਨਮ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਿ ਭਰਮੇ ਹੁਣਿ ਤਉ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਆਏ ॥
अनेक जनम पाप करि भरमे हुणि तउ सरणागति आए ॥
Anek janam pāp kar bẖarme huṇ ṯa▫o sarṇāgaṯ ā▫e.
Through countless lifetimes, I wandered in sin; now, I have come seeking Your Sanctuary.

ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹਮ ਲਾਗਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
दइआ करहु रखि लेवहु हरि जीउ हम लागह सतिगुर पाए ॥३॥
Ḏa▫i▫ā karahu rakẖ levhu har jī▫o ham lāgah saṯgur pā▫e. ||3||
Take pity on me and save me, Dear Lord; I have grasped the Feet of the True Guru. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਸ ਹਮ ਲੋਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुर पारस हम लोह मिलि कंचनु होइआ राम ॥
Gur pāras ham loh mil kancẖan ho▫i▫ā rām.
The Guru is the Philosopher's Stone; by His touch, iron is transformed into gold.

ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਕਾਇਆ ਗੜੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
जोती जोति मिलाइ काइआ गड़ु सोहिआ राम ॥
Joṯī joṯ milā▫e kā▫i▫ā gaṛ sohi▫ā rām.
My light merges into the Light, and my body-fortress is so beautiful.

ਕਾਇਆ ਗੜੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ ਮੇਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਕਿਉ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥
काइआ गड़ु सोहिआ मेरै प्रभि मोहिआ किउ सासि गिरासि विसारीऐ ॥
Kā▫i▫ā gaṛ sohi▫ā merai parabẖ mohi▫ā ki▫o sās girās visārī▫ai.
My body-fortress is so beautiful; I am fascinated by my God. How could I forget Him, for even a breath, or a morsel of food?

ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਪਕੜਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਐ ॥
अद्रिसटु अगोचरु पकड़िआ गुर सबदी हउ सतिगुर कै बलिहारीऐ ॥
Aḏrist agocẖar pakṛi▫ā gur sabḏī ha▫o saṯgur kai balihārī▫ai.
I have seized the Unseen and Unfathomable Lord, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਸੀਸੁ ਭੇਟ ਦੇਉ ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
सतिगुर आगै सीसु भेट देउ जे सतिगुर साचे भावै ॥
Saṯgur āgai sīs bẖet ḏe▫o je saṯgur sācẖe bẖāvai.
I place my head in offering before the True Guru, if it truly pleases the True Guru.

ਆਪੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
आपे दइआ करहु प्रभ दाते नानक अंकि समावै ॥४॥१॥
Āpe ḏa▫i▫ā karahu parabẖ ḏāṯe Nānak ank samāvai. ||4||1||
Take pity on me, O God, Great Giver, that Nanak may merge in Your Being. ||4||1||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਪਰਪਰਾ ॥
हरि हरि अगम अगाधि अपर्मपर अपरपरा ॥
Har har agam agāḏẖ aprampar aparparā.
The Lord, Har, Har, is Inaccessible, Unfathomable, Infinite, the Farthest of the Far.

ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਭਉ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰਾ ॥
जो तुम धिआवहि जगदीस ते जन भउ बिखमु तरा ॥
Jo ṯum ḏẖi▫āvahi jagḏīs ṯe jan bẖa▫o bikẖam ṯarā.
Those who meditate on You, O Lord of the Universe - those humble beings cross over the terrifying, treacherous world-ocean.

ਬਿਖਮ ਭਉ ਤਿਨ ਤਰਿਆ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
बिखम भउ तिन तरिआ सुहेला जिन हरि हरि नामु धिआइआ ॥
Bikẖam bẖa▫o ṯin ṯari▫ā suhelā jin har har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
Those who meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, easily cross over the terrifying, treacherous world-ocean.

ਗੁਰ ਵਾਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੋ ਭਾਇ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
गुर वाकि सतिगुर जो भाइ चले तिन हरि हरि आपि मिलाइआ ॥
Gur vāk saṯgur jo bẖā▫e cẖale ṯin har har āp milā▫i▫ā.
Those who lovingly walk in harmony with the Word of the Guru, the True Guru - the Lord, Har, Har, unites them with Himself.

ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਧਰਣੀਧਰਾ ॥
जोती जोति मिलि जोति समाणी हरि क्रिपा करि धरणीधरा ॥
Joṯī joṯ mil joṯ samāṇī har kirpā kar ḏẖarṇīḏẖarā.
The mortal's light meets the Light of God, and blends with that Divine Light when the Lord, the Support of the Earth, grants His Grace.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਪਰਪਰਾ ॥੧॥
हरि हरि अगम अगाधि अपर्मपर अपरपरा ॥१॥
Har har agam agāḏẖ aprampar aparparā. ||1||
The Lord, Har, Har, is Inaccessible, Unfathomable, Infinite, the Farthest of the Far. ||1||

ਤੁਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
तुम सुआमी अगम अथाह तू घटि घटि पूरि रहिआ ॥
Ŧum su▫āmī agam athāh ṯū gẖat gẖat pūr rahi▫ā.
O my Lord and Master, You are Inaccessible and Unfathomable. You are totally pervading and permeating each and every heart.

ਤੂ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਉ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
तू अलख अभेउ अगमु गुर सतिगुर बचनि लहिआ ॥
Ŧū alakẖ abẖe▫o agamm gur saṯgur bacẖan lahi▫ā.
You are Unseen, Unknowable and Unfathomable; You are found through the Word of the Guru, the True Guru.

ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੇ ॥
धनु धंनु ते जन पुरख पूरे जिन गुर संतसंगति मिलि गुण रवे ॥
Ḏẖan ḏẖan ṯe jan purakẖ pūre jin gur sanṯsangaṯ mil guṇ rave.
Blessed, blessed are those humble, powerful and perfect people, who join the Guru's Sangat, the Society of the Saints, and chant His Glorious Praises.

ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਚਵੇ ॥
बिबेक बुधि बीचारि गुरमुखि गुर सबदि खिनु खिनु हरि नित चवे ॥
Bibek buḏẖ bīcẖār gurmukẖ gur sabaḏ kẖin kẖin har niṯ cẖave.
With clear and precise understanding, the Gurmukhs contemplate the Guru's Shabad; each and every instant, they continually speak of the Lord.

ਜਾ ਬਹਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਜਾ ਖੜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
जा बहहि गुरमुखि हरि नामु बोलहि जा खड़े गुरमुखि हरि हरि कहिआ ॥
Jā bahėh gurmukẖ har nām bolėh jā kẖaṛe gurmukẖ har har kahi▫ā.
When the Gurmukh sits down, he chants the Lord's Name. When the Gurmukh stands up, he chants the Lord's Name, Har, Har.

ਤੁਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਸੇਵਕ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜਿਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰੇ ॥
सेवक जन सेवहि ते परवाणु जिन सेविआ गुरमति हरे ॥
Sevak jan sevėh ṯe parvāṇ jin sevi▫ā gurmaṯ hare.
Those humble servants who serve are accepted. They serve the Lord, and follow the Guru's Teachings.

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕੋਟਿ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਪ ਖਿਨੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥
तिन के कोटि सभि पाप खिनु परहरि हरि दूरि करे ॥
Ŧin ke kot sabẖ pāp kẖin parhar har ḏūr kare.
All their millions of sins are taken away in an instant; the Lord takes them far away.
|
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ॥
तिन के पाप दोख सभि बिनसे जिन मनि चिति इकु अराधिआ ॥
Ŧin ke pāp ḏokẖ sabẖ binse jin man cẖiṯ ik arāḏẖi▫ā.
All their sin and blame is washed away. They worship and adore the One Lord with their conscious minds.
