ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਜਿੰਨਿ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
हरि सिमरि एकंकारु साचा सभु जगतु जिंनि उपाइआ ॥
Har simar ekankār sācẖā sabẖ jagaṯ jinn upā▫i▫ā.
Meditate in remembrance of the One Universal Creator; the True Lord created the entire Universe.

ਪਉਣੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਬਾਧੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਖੇਲੁ ਜਗਤਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
पउणु पाणी अगनि बाधे गुरि खेलु जगति दिखाइआ ॥
Pa▫uṇ pāṇī agan bāḏẖe gur kẖel jagaṯ ḏikẖā▫i▫ā.
The Guru controls the air, water and fire; He has staged the drama of the world.

ਆਚਾਰਿ ਤੂ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਜਮ ਜਪ ਤਪੋ ॥
आचारि तू वीचारि आपे हरि नामु संजम जप तपो ॥
Ācẖār ṯū vīcẖār āpe har nām sanjam jap ṯapo.
Reflect on your own self, and so practice good conduct; chant the Name of the Lord as your self-discipline and meditation.

ਸਖਾ ਸੈਨੁ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪੋ ॥੨॥
सखा सैनु पिआरु प्रीतमु नामु हरि का जपु जपो ॥२॥
Sakẖā sain pi▫ār parīṯam nām har kā jap japo. ||2||
The Name of the Lord is your Companion, Friend and Dear Beloved; chant it, and meditate on it. ||2||

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਤੂ ਥਿਰੁ ਰਹੁ ਚੋਟ ਨ ਖਾਵਹੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ तू थिरु रहु चोट न खावही राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā ṯū thir rahu cẖot na kẖāvhī rām.
O my mind! Remain steady and stable, and you will not have to endure beatings.

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਹੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ गुण गावहि सहजि समावही राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā guṇ gāvahi sahj samāvahī rām.
O my mind! Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, you shall merge into Him with intuitive ease.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇ ਰਸੀਅਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਸਾਰਹੇ ॥
गुण गाइ राम रसाइ रसीअहि गुर गिआन अंजनु सारहे ॥
Guṇ gā▫e rām rasā▫e rasī▫ah gur gi▫ān anjan sārhe.
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, be happy. Apply the ointment of spiritual wisdom to your eyes.

ਤ੍ਰੈ ਲੋਕ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਸੰਘਾਰਹੇ ॥
त्रै लोक दीपकु सबदि चानणु पंच दूत संघारहे ॥
Ŧarai lok ḏīpak sabaḏ cẖānaṇ pancẖ ḏūṯ sangẖārahe.
The Word of the Shabad is the lamp which illuminates the three worlds; it slaughters the five demons.

ਭੈ ਕਾਟਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਤਰਹਿ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰਏ ॥
भै काटि निरभउ तरहि दुतरु गुरि मिलिऐ कारज सारए ॥
Bẖai kāt nirbẖa▫o ṯarėh ḏuṯar gur mili▫ai kāraj sār▫e.
Quieting your fears, become fearless, and you shall cross over the impassible world ocean. Meeting the Guru, your affairs shall be resolved.

ਰੂਪੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਏ ॥੩॥
रूपु रंगु पिआरु हरि सिउ हरि आपि किरपा धारए ॥३॥
Rūp rang pi▫ār har si▫o har āp kirpā ḏẖār▫e. ||3||
You shall find the joy and the beauty of the Lord’s Love and Affection; the Lord Himself shall shower you with His Grace. ||3||

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਤੂ ਕਿਆ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਆ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ तू किआ लै आइआ किआ लै जाइसी राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā ṯū ki▫ā lai ā▫i▫ā ki▫ā lai jā▫isī rām.
O my mind! Why did you come into the world? What will you take with you when you go?

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਤਾ ਛੁਟਸੀ ਜਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ ता छुटसी जा भरमु चुकाइसी राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā ṯā cẖẖutsī jā bẖaram cẖukā▫isī rām.
O my mind! You shall be emancipated, when you eliminate your doubts.

ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਵਖਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਭਾਉ ਪਛਾਣਹੇ ॥
धनु संचि हरि हरि नाम वखरु गुर सबदि भाउ पछाणहे ॥
Ḏẖan sancẖ har har nām vakẖar gur sabaḏ bẖā▫o pacẖẖāṇahe.
So, gather the wealth and capital of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, you shall realize its value.

ਮੈਲੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਘਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਣਹੇ ॥
मैलु परहरि सबदि निरमलु महलु घरु सचु जाणहे ॥
Mail parhar sabaḏ nirmal mahal gẖar sacẖ jāṇhe.
Filth shall be taken away, through the Immaculate Word of the Shabad; you shall know the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, your true home.

ਪਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਘਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਵਹਿ ਝੋਲਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀ ਰਸੋ ॥
पति नामु पावहि घरि सिधावहि झोलि अमृत पी रसो ॥
Paṯ nām pāvahi gẖar siḏẖāvėh jẖol amriṯ pī raso.
Through the Naam, you shall obtain honor, and come home. Eagerly drink the Ambrosial Amrit.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੋ ॥੪॥
हरि नामु धिआईऐ सबदि रसु पाईऐ वडभागि जपीऐ हरि जसो ॥४॥
Har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sabaḏ ras pā▫ī▫ai vadbẖāg japī▫ai har jaso. ||4||
Meditate on the Lord’s Name, and you shall obtain the sublime essence of the Shabad; by great good fortune, chant the Praises of the Lord. ||4||

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਉੜੀਆ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਕਿਉ ਚੜੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ बिनु पउड़ीआ मंदरि किउ चड़ै राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā bin pa▫uṛī▫ā manḏar ki▫o cẖaṛai rām.
O my mind! Without a ladder, how will you climb up to the Temple of the Lord?

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੇੜੀ ਪਾਰਿ ਨ ਅੰਬੜੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
ए मन मेरिआ बिनु बेड़ी पारि न अ्मबड़ै राम ॥
Ė man meri▫ā bin beṛī pār na ambṛai rām.
O my mind! Without a boat, you shall not reach the other shore.
|
ਪਾਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਲੰਘਾਵਏ ॥
पारि साजनु अपारु प्रीतमु गुर सबद सुरति लंघावए ॥
Pār sājan apār parīṯam gur sabaḏ suraṯ langẖāva▫e.
On that far shore is Your Beloved, Infinite Friend. Only your awareness of the Guru’s Shabad will carry you across.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਪਛੋਤਾਵਏ ॥
मिलि साधसंगति करहि रलीआ फिरि न पछोतावए ॥
Mil sāḏẖsangaṯ karahi ralī▫ā fir na pacẖẖoṯāva▫e.
Join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and you shall enjoy ecstasy; you shall not regret or repent later on.

ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਾਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਓ ॥
करि दइआ दानु दइआल साचा हरि नाम संगति पावओ ॥
Kar ḏa▫i▫ā ḏān ḏa▫i▫āl sācẖā har nām sangaṯ pāva▫o.
Be Merciful, O Merciful True Lord God: please give me the Blessing of the Lord’s Name, and the Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਸਮਝਾਵਓ ॥੫॥੬॥
नानकु पइअ्मपै सुणहु प्रीतम गुर सबदि मनु समझावओ ॥५॥६॥
Nānak pa▫i▫ampai suṇhu parīṯam gur sabaḏ man sanjẖāva▫o. ||5||6||
Nanak prays: please hear me, O my Beloved; instruct my mind through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ||5||6||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਿਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
अंतरि पिरी पिआरु किउ पिर बिनु जीवीऐ राम ॥
Anṯar pirī pi▫ār ki▫o pir bin jīvī▫ai rām.
My inner being is filled with love for my Beloved Husband Lord. How can I live without Him?

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਕਿਉ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
जब लगु दरसु न होइ किउ अमृतु पीवीऐ राम ॥
Jab lag ḏaras na ho▫e ki▫o amriṯ pīvī▫ai rām.
As long as I do not have the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, how can I drink the Ambrosial Nectar?

ਕਿਉ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵੀਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
किउ अमृतु पीवीऐ हरि बिनु जीवीऐ तिसु बिनु रहनु न जाए ॥
Ki▫o amriṯ pīvī▫ai har bin jīvī▫ai ṯis bin rahan na jā▫e.
How can I drink the Ambrosial Nectar without the Lord? I cannot survive without Him.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਆਸ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
अनदिनु प्रिउ प्रिउ करे दिनु राती पिर बिनु पिआस न जाए ॥
An▫ḏin pari▫o pari▫o kare ḏin rāṯī pir bin pi▫ās na jā▫e.
Night and day, I cry out, "Pri-o! Pri-o! Beloved! Beloved!", day and night. Without my Husband Lord, my thirst is not quenched.

ਅਪਣੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦ ਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
अपणी क्रिपा करहु हरि पिआरे हरि हरि नामु सद सारिआ ॥
Apṇī kirpā karahu har pi▫āre har har nām saḏ sāri▫ā.
Please, bless me with Your Grace, O my Beloved Lord, so that I may dwell on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, forever.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
गुर कै सबदि मिलिआ मै प्रीतमु हउ सतिगुर विटहु वारिआ ॥१॥
Gur kai sabaḏ mili▫ā mai parīṯam ha▫o saṯgur vitahu vāri▫ā. ||1||
Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, I have met my Beloved; I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||1||

ਜਬ ਦੇਖਾਂ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਸਿ ਰਵਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
जब देखां पिरु पिआरा हरि गुण रसि रवा राम ॥
Jab ḏekẖāʼn pir pi▫ārā har guṇ ras ravā rām.
When I see my Beloved Husband Lord, I chant the Lord’s Glorious Praises with love.
