आदि अंति मधि प्रभु सोई ॥
Āḏ anṯ maḏẖ parabẖ so▫ī.
God exists in the beginning, in the middle and in the end.
आपे करता करे सु होई ॥
Āpe karṯā kare so ho▫ī.
Whatever the Creator Lord Himself does, comes to pass.
भ्रमु भउ मिटिआ साधसंग ते दालिद न कोई घालका ॥६॥
Bẖaram bẖa▫o miti▫ā sāḏẖsang ṯe ḏālid na ko▫ī gẖālkā. ||6||
Doubt and fear are erased, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and then one is not afflicted by deadly pain. ||6||
ऊतम बाणी गाउ गोपाला ॥
Ūṯam baṇī gā▫o gopālā.
I sing the most Sublime Bani, the Word of the Lord of the Universe.
साधसंगति की मंगहु रवाला ॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ kī mangahu ravālā.
I beg for the dust of the feet of the Saadh Sangat.
बासन मेटि निबासन होईऐ कलमल सगले जालका ॥७॥
Bāsan met nibāsan ho▫ī▫ai kalmal sagle jālkā. ||7||
Eradicating desire, I have become free of desire; I have burnt away all my sins. ||7||
संता की इह रीति निराली ॥
Sanṯā kī ih rīṯ nirālī.
This is the unique way of the Saints;
पारब्रहमु करि देखहि नाली ॥
Pārbarahm kar ḏekẖėh nālī.
they behold the Supreme Lord God with them.
सासि सासि आराधनि हरि हरि किउ सिमरत कीजै आलका ॥८॥
Sās sās ārāḏẖan har har ki▫o simraṯ kījai ālkā. ||8||
With each and every breath, they worship and adore the Lord, Har, Har. How could anyone be too lazy to meditate on Him? ||8||
जह देखा तह अंतरजामी ॥
Jah ḏekẖā ṯah anṯarjāmī.
Wherever I look, there I see the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
निमख न विसरहु प्रभ मेरे सुआमी ॥
Nimakẖ na visrahu parabẖ mere su▫āmī.
I never forget God, my Lord and Master, even for an instant.
सिमरि सिमरि जीवहि तेरे दासा बनि जलि पूरन थालका ॥९॥
Simar simar jīvėh ṯere ḏāsā ban jal pūran thālkā. ||9||
Your slaves live by meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord; You are permeating the woods, the water and the land. ||9||
तती वाउ न ता कउ लागै ॥
Ŧaṯī vā▫o na ṯā ka▫o lāgai.
Even the hot wind does not touch one
सिमरत नामु अनदिनु जागै ॥
Simraṯ nām an▫ḏin jāgai.
who remains awake in meditative remembrance, night and day.
अनद बिनोद करे हरि सिमरनु तिसु माइआ संगि न तालका ॥१०॥
Anaḏ binoḏ kare har simran ṯis mā▫i▫ā sang na ṯālkā. ||10||
He delights and enjoys meditative remembrance on the Lord; he has no attachment to Maya. ||10||
रोग सोग दूख तिसु नाही ॥
Rog sog ḏūkẖ ṯis nāhī.
Disease, sorrow and pain do not affect him;
साधसंगि हरि कीरतनु गाही ॥
Sāḏẖsang har kīrṯan gāhī.
he sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
आपणा नामु देहि प्रभ प्रीतम सुणि बेनंती खालका ॥११॥
Āpṇā nām ḏėh parabẖ parīṯam suṇ benanṯī kẖālkā. ||11||
Please bless me with Your Name, O my Beloved Lord God; please listen to my prayer, O Creator. ||11||
नाम रतनु तेरा है पिआरे ॥
Nām raṯan ṯerā hai pi▫āre.
Your Name is a jewel, O my Beloved Lord.
रंगि रते तेरै दास अपारे ॥
Rang raṯe ṯerai ḏās apāre.
Your slaves are imbued with Your Infinite Love.
तेरै रंगि रते तुधु जेहे विरले केई भालका ॥१२॥
Ŧerai rang raṯe ṯuḏẖ jehe virle ke▫ī bẖālkā. ||12||
Those who are imbued with Your Love, become like You; it is so rare that they are found. ||12||
तिन की धूड़ि मांगै मनु मेरा ॥
Ŧin kī ḏẖūṛ māʼngai man merā.
My mind longs for the dust of the feet of those
जिन विसरहि नाही काहू बेरा ॥
Jin visrahi nāhī kāhū berā.
who never forget the Lord.
तिन कै संगि परम पदु पाई सदा संगी हरि नालका ॥१३॥
Ŧin kai sang param paḏ pā▫ī saḏā sangī har nālkā. ||13||
Associating with them, I obtain the supreme status; the Lord, my Companion, is always with me. ||13||
साजनु मीतु पिआरा सोई ॥
Sājan mīṯ pi▫ārā so▫ī.
He alone is my beloved friend and companion,
एकु द्रिड़ाए दुरमति खोई ॥
Ėk driṛ▫ā▫e ḏurmaṯ kẖo▫ī.
who implants the Name of the One Lord within, and eradicates evil-mindedness.
कामु क्रोधु अहंकारु तजाए तिसु जन कउ उपदेसु निरमालका ॥१४॥
Kām kroḏẖ ahaʼnkār ṯajā▫e ṯis jan ka▫o upḏes nirmālkā. ||14||
Immaculate are the teachings of that humble servant of the Lord, who casts out sexual desire, anger and egotism. ||14||
तुधु विणु नाही कोई मेरा ॥
Ŧuḏẖ viṇ nāhī ko▫ī merā.
Other than You, O Lord, no one is mine.
गुरि पकड़ाए प्रभ के पैरा ॥
Gur pakṛā▫e parabẖ ke pairā.
The Guru has led me to grasp the feet of God.
हउ बलिहारी सतिगुर पूरे जिनि खंडिआ भरमु अनालका ॥१५॥
Ha▫o balihārī saṯgur pūre jin kẖandi▫ā bẖaram anālkā. ||15||
I am a sacrifice to the Perfect True Guru, who has destroyed the illusion of duality. ||15||
सासि सासि प्रभु बिसरै नाही ॥
Sās sās parabẖ bisrai nāhī.
With each and every breath, I never forget God.
आठ पहर हरि हरि कउ धिआई ॥
Āṯẖ pahar har har ka▫o ḏẖi▫ā▫ī.
Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har.
नानक संत तेरै रंगि राते तू समरथु वडालका ॥१६॥४॥१३॥
Nānak sanṯ ṯerai rang rāṯe ṯū samrath vadālkā. ||16||4||13||
O Nanak, the Saints are imbued with Your Love; You are the great and all-powerful Lord. ||16||4||13||

Maaroo, Fifth Mehl:
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
चरन कमल हिरदै नित धारी ॥
Cẖaran kamal hirḏai niṯ ḏẖārī.
I enshrine the Lord's lotus feet continually within my heart.
गुरु पूरा खिनु खिनु नमसकारी ॥
Gur pūrā kẖin kẖin namaskārī.
Each and every moment, I humbly bow to the Perfect Guru.
तनु मनु अरपि धरी सभु आगै जग महि नामु सुहावणा ॥१॥
Ŧan man arap ḏẖarī sabẖ āgai jag mėh nām suhāvaṇā. ||1||
I dedicate my body, mind and everything, and place it in offering before the Lord. His Name is the most beautiful in this world. ||1||
सो ठाकुरु किउ मनहु विसारे ॥
So ṯẖākur ki▫o manhu visāre.
Why forget the Lord and Master from your mind?
जीउ पिंडु दे साजि सवारे ॥
Jī▫o pind ḏe sāj savāre.
He blessed you with body and soul, creating and embellishing you.
सासि गरासि समाले करता कीता अपणा पावणा ॥२॥
Sās garās samāle karṯā kīṯā apṇā pāvṇā. ||2||
With every breath and morsel of food, the Creator takes care of His beings, who receive according to what they have done. ||2||
जा ते बिरथा कोऊ नाही ॥
Jā ṯe birthā ko▫ū nāhī.
No one returns empty-handed from Him;
आठ पहर हरि रखु मन माही ॥
Āṯẖ pahar har rakẖ man māhī.
twenty-four hours a day, keep the Lord in your mind.
