ਧਨ ਅੰਧੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਚਪਲੁ ਸਿਆਨਾ
धन अंधी पिरु चपलु सिआना ॥
Ḏẖan anḏẖī pir cẖapal si▫ānā.
The body-bride is blind, and the groom is clever and wise.

ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਕਾ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਨਾ
पंच ततु का रचनु रचाना ॥
Pancẖ ṯaṯ kā racẖan racẖānā.
The creation was created of the five elements.

ਜਿਸੁ ਵਖਰ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਆਏ ਹਹੁ ਸੋ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
जिसु वखर कउ तुम आए हहु सो पाइओ सतिगुर पासा हे ॥६॥
Jis vakẖar ka▫o ṯum ā▫e hahu so pā▫i▫o saṯgur pāsā he. ||6||
That merchandise, for which you have come into the world, is received only from the True Guru. ||6||

ਧਨ ਕਹੈ ਤੂ ਵਸੁ ਮੈ ਨਾਲੇ
धन कहै तू वसु मै नाले ॥
Ḏẖan kahai ṯū vas mai nāle.
The body-bride says, "Please live with me,

ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਸੁਖਵਾਸੀ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲੇ
प्रिअ सुखवासी बाल गुपाले ॥
Pari▫a sukẖvāsī bāl gupāle.
O my beloved, peaceful, young lord.

ਤੁਝੈ ਬਿਨਾ ਹਉ ਕਿਤ ਹੀ ਲੇਖੈ ਵਚਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੭॥
तुझै बिना हउ कित ही न लेखै वचनु देहि छोडि न जासा हे ॥७॥
Ŧujẖai binā ha▫o kiṯ hī na lekẖai vacẖan ḏėh cẖẖod na jāsā he. ||7||
Without you, I am of no account. Please give me your word, that you will not leave me". ||7||

ਪਿਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਹਉ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਬੰਦਾ
पिरि कहिआ हउ हुकमी बंदा ॥
Pir kahi▫ā ha▫o hukmī banḏā.
The soul-husband says, "I am the slave of my Commander.

ਓਹੁ ਭਾਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਣਿ ਛੰਦਾ
ओहु भारो ठाकुरु जिसु काणि न छंदा ॥
Oh bẖāro ṯẖākur jis kāṇ na cẖẖanḏā.
He is my Great Lord and Master, who is fearless and independent.

ਜਿਚਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਣਾ ਜਾ ਸਦੇ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥
जिचरु राखै तिचरु तुम संगि रहणा जा सदे त ऊठि सिधासा हे ॥८॥
Jicẖar rākẖai ṯicẖar ṯum sang rahṇā jā saḏe ṯa ūṯẖ siḏẖāsā he. ||8||
As long as He wills, I will remain with you. When He summons me, I shall arise and depart". ||8||

ਜਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ ਧਨ ਸਾਚੇ
जउ प्रिअ बचन कहे धन साचे ॥
Ja▫o pari▫a bacẖan kahe ḏẖan sācẖe.
The husband speaks words of Truth to the bride,

ਧਨ ਕਛੂ ਸਮਝੈ ਚੰਚਲਿ ਕਾਚੇ
धन कछू न समझै चंचलि काचे ॥
Ḏẖan kacẖẖū na samjẖai cẖancẖal kācẖe.
but the bride is restless and inexperienced, and she does not understand anything.

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਿਰ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਓਹੁ ਬਾਤ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੯॥
बहुरि बहुरि पिर ही संगु मागै ओहु बात जानै करि हासा हे ॥९॥
Bahur bahur pir hī sang māgai oh bāṯ jānai kar hāsā he. ||9||
Again and again, she begs her husband to stay; she thinks that he is just joking when he answers her. ||9||

ਆਈ ਆਗਿਆ ਪਿਰਹੁ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ
आई आगिआ पिरहु बुलाइआ ॥
Ā▫ī āgi▫ā pirahu bulā▫i▫ā.
The Order comes, and the husband-soul is called.

ਨਾ ਧਨ ਪੁਛੀ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ
ना धन पुछी न मता पकाइआ ॥
Nā ḏẖan pucẖẖī na maṯā pakā▫i▫ā.
He does not consult with his bride, and does not ask her opinion.

ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਇਓ ਛੂਟਰਿ ਮਾਟੀ ਦੇਖੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਥਨ ਮੋਹਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥
ऊठि सिधाइओ छूटरि माटी देखु नानक मिथन मोहासा हे ॥१०॥
Ūṯẖ siḏẖā▫i▫o cẖẖūtar mātī ḏekẖ Nānak mithan mohāsā he. ||10||
He gets up and marches off, and the discarded body-bride mingles with dust. O Nanak, behold the illusion of emotional attachment and hope. ||10||

ਰੇ ਮਨ ਲੋਭੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ
रे मन लोभी सुणि मन मेरे ॥
Re man lobẖī suṇ man mere.
O greedy mind - listen, O my mind!

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਸਦੇਰੇ
सतिगुरु सेवि दिनु राति सदेरे ॥
Saṯgur sev ḏin rāṯ saḏere.
Serve the True Guru day and night forever.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਚਿ ਮੂਏ ਸਾਕਤ ਨਿਗੁਰੇ ਗਲਿ ਜਮ ਫਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥
बिनु सतिगुर पचि मूए साकत निगुरे गलि जम फासा हे ॥११॥
Bin saṯgur pacẖ mū▫e sākaṯ nigure gal jam fāsā he. ||11||
Without the True Guru, the faithless cynics rot away and die. The noose of Death is around the necks of those who have no Guru. ||11||

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਆਵੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਵੈ
मनमुखि आवै मनमुखि जावै ॥
Manmukẖ āvai manmukẖ jāvai.
The self-willed manmukh comes, and the self-willed manmukh goes.

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵੈ
मनमुखि फिरि फिरि चोटा खावै ॥
Manmukẖ fir fir cẖotā kẖāvai.
The manmukh suffers beatings again and again.

ਜਿਤਨੇ ਨਰਕ ਸੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਭੋਗੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੇਪੁ ਮਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥
जितने नरक से मनमुखि भोगै गुरमुखि लेपु न मासा हे ॥१२॥
Jiṯne narak se manmukẖ bẖogai gurmukẖ lep na māsā he. ||12||
The manmukh endures as many hells as there are; the Gurmukh is not even touched by them. ||12||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੋਇ ਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਇਆ
गुरमुखि सोइ जि हरि जीउ भाइआ ॥
Gurmukẖ so▫e jė har jī▫o bẖā▫i▫ā.
He alone is Gurmukh, who is pleasing to the Dear Lord.

ਤਿਸੁ ਕਉਣੁ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ
तिसु कउणु मिटावै जि प्रभि पहिराइआ ॥
Ŧis ka▫uṇ mitāvai jė parabẖ pėhrā▫i▫ā.
Who can destroy anyone who is robed in honor by the Lord?

ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਕਰੇ ਆਨੰਦੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਪਾਉ ਪਇਆ ਗਲਿ ਖਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
सदा अनंदु करे आनंदी जिसु सिरपाउ पइआ गलि खासा हे ॥१३॥
Saḏā anand kare ānanḏī jis sirpā▫o pa▫i▫ā gal kẖāsā he. ||13||
The blissful one is forever in bliss; he is dressed in robes of honor. ||13||

ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ
हउ बलिहारी सतिगुर पूरे ॥
Ha▫o balihārī saṯgur pūre.
I am a sacrifice to the Perfect True Guru.

ਸਰਣਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੇ ਸੂਰੇ
सरणि के दाते बचन के सूरे ॥
Saraṇ ke ḏāṯe bacẖan ke sūre.
He is the Giver of Sanctuary, the Heroic Warrior who keeps His Word.

ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਤ ਹੀ ਜਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥
ऐसा प्रभु मिलिआ सुखदाता विछुड़ि न कत ही जासा हे ॥१४॥
Aisā parabẖ mili▫ā sukẖ▫ḏāṯa vicẖẖuṛ na kaṯ hī jāsā he. ||14||
Such is the Lord God, the Giver of peace, whom I have met; He shall never leave me or go anywhere else. ||14||

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਮ ਪਾਈ
गुण निधान किछु कीम न पाई ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān kicẖẖ kīm na pā▫ī.
He is the treasure of virtue; His value cannot be estimated.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ
घटि घटि पूरि रहिओ सभ ठाई ॥
Gẖat gẖat pūr rahi▫o sabẖ ṯẖā▫ī.
He is perfectly permeating each and every heart, prevailing everywhere.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਹਉ ਰੇਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਦਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥੧॥੨॥
नानक सरणि दीन दुख भंजन हउ रेण तेरे जो दासा हे ॥१५॥१॥२॥
Nānak saraṇ ḏīn ḏukẖ bẖanjan ha▫o reṇ ṯere jo ḏāsā he. ||15||1||2||
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Destroyer of the pains of the poor; I am the dust of the feet of Your slaves. ||15||1||2||

ਮਾਰੂ ਸੋਲਹੇ ਮਹਲਾ
मारू सोलहे महला ५
Mārū solhe mėhlā 5
Maaroo, Solahas, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਕਰੈ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਅਨੰਦੀ ਮੇਰਾ
करै अनंदु अनंदी मेरा ॥
Karai anand anandī merā.
My Blissful Lord is forever in bliss.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਸਿਰ ਸਿਰਹਿ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ
घटि घटि पूरनु सिर सिरहि निबेरा ॥
Gẖat gẖat pūran sir sirėh niberā.
He fills each and every heart, and judges each and everyone.

ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਕੈ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
सिरि साहा कै सचा साहिबु अवरु नाही को दूजा हे ॥१॥
Sir sāhā kai sacẖā sāhib avar nāhī ko ḏūjā he. ||1||
The True Lord and Master is above the heads of all kings; there is none other than Him. ||1||

ਹਰਖਵੰਤ ਆਨੰਤ ਦਇਆਲਾ
हरखवंत आनंत दइआला ॥
Harakẖvanṯ ānanṯ ḏa▫i▫ālā.
He is joyful, blissful and merciful.

ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਰਬ ਉਜਾਲਾ
प्रगटि रहिओ प्रभु सरब उजाला ॥
Pargat rahi▫o parabẖ sarab ujālā.
God's Light is manifest everywhere.

ਰੂਪ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
रूप करे करि वेखै विगसै आपे ही आपि पूजा हे ॥२॥
Rūp kare kar vekẖai vigsai āpe hī āp pūjā he. ||2||
He creates forms, and gazing upon them, He enjoys them; He Himself worships Himself. ||2||

ਆਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ
आपे कुदरति करे वीचारा ॥
Āpe kuḏraṯ kare vīcẖārā.
He contemplates His own creative power.

ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਰਾ
आपे ही सचु करे पसारा ॥
Āpe hī sacẖ kare pasārā.
The True Lord Himself creates the expanse of the Universe.

ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਖਿਲਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਭੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੩॥
आपे खेल खिलावै दिनु राती आपे सुणि सुणि भीजा हे ॥३॥
Āpe kẖel kẖilāvai ḏin rāṯī āpe suṇ suṇ bẖījā he. ||3||
He Himself stages the play, day and night; He Himself listens, and hearing, rejoices. ||3||

ਸਾਚਾ ਤਖਤੁ ਸਚੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ
साचा तखतु सची पातिसाही ॥
Sācẖā ṯakẖaṯ sacẖī pāṯisāhī.
True is His throne, and True is His kingdom.

ਸਚੁ ਖਜੀਨਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹੀ
सचु खजीना साचा साही ॥
Sacẖ kẖajīnā sācẖā sāhī.
True is the treasure of the True Banker.
