ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਅਰੁ ਲੋਭ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ ਬੀਓ ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਘਾਲਿਓ ॥
मान मोह अरु लोभ विकारा बीओ चीति न घालिओ ॥
Mān moh ar lobẖ vikārā bī▫o cẖīṯ na gẖāli▫o.
I am purged of the sins of pride, worldly love and avarice. Except God, I enshrine none in my mind.

ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਗੁਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਬਣਜੇ ਲਾਦਿ ਵਖਰੁ ਲੈ ਚਾਲਿਓ ॥੧॥
नाम रतनु गुणा हरि बणजे लादि वखरु लै चालिओ ॥१॥
Nām raṯan guṇā har baṇje lāḏ vakẖar lai cẖāli▫o. ||1||
I have purchased the Name jewel and God's praise. Loading this merchandise. I have set out on my journey.

ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਓੜਕਿ ਨਿਬਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
सेवक की ओड़कि निबही प्रीति ॥
Sevak kī oṛak nibhī parīṯ.
The love of the Lord's slave has endured to the end.

ਜੀਵਤ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੇਵਿਓ ਅਪਨਾ ਚਲਤੇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਚੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जीवत साहिबु सेविओ अपना चलते राखिओ चीति ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jīvaṯ sāhib sevi▫o apnā cẖalṯe rākẖi▫o cẖīṯ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In my life-time I have served my Lord and now while departing, I have enshrined Him in my mind. Pause.
|
ਜੈਸੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਕੀਨੀ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਮੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੋਰਿਓ ॥
जैसी आगिआ कीनी ठाकुरि तिस ते मुखु नही मोरिओ ॥
Jaisī āgi▫ā kīnī ṯẖākur ṯis ṯe mukẖ nahī mori▫o.
As is the command issued by My Master; from that I have turned not my face away.

ਸਹਜੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਰਖਿਓ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਉਠਿ ਉਆਹੂ ਕਉ ਦਉਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
सहजु अनंदु रखिओ ग्रिह भीतरि उठि उआहू कउ दउरिओ ॥२॥
Sahj anand rakẖi▫o garih bẖīṯar uṯẖ u▫āhū ka▫o ḏa▫ori▫o. ||2||
If He keeps me in home, I deem it peace and pleasure and if He asks me to quit, then there from I run to vacate it.

ਆਗਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਭੂਖ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਸੂਖਾ ਸੋਗ ਹਰਖ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਿਓ ॥
आगिआ महि भूख सोई करि सूखा सोग हरख नही जानिओ ॥
Āgi▫ā mėh bẖūkẖ so▫ī kar sūkẖā sog harakẖ nahī jāni▫o.
Privation in the Lord's will; That I accept as bliss Weal and woe I know not.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਸੋ ਮਾਥੈ ਲੇ ਮਾਨਿਓ ॥੩॥
जो जो हुकमु भइओ साहिब का सो माथै ले मानिओ ॥३॥
Jo jo hukam bẖa▫i▫o sāhib kā so māthai le māni▫o. ||3||
Whatever is the command of my Lord; That I accept cheerfully on my forehead.

ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਸਵਰੇ ਹਲਤ ਪਲਾਤਾ ॥
भइओ क्रिपालु ठाकुरु सेवक कउ सवरे हलत पलाता ॥
Bẖa▫i▫o kirpāl ṯẖākur sevak ka▫o savre halaṯ palāṯā.
The Lord has become merciful unto His serf and his this world and the yonder one are embellished.

ਧੰਨੁ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਸਫਲੁ ਓਹੁ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਖਸਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੫॥
धंनु सेवकु सफलु ओहु आइआ जिनि नानक खसमु पछाता ॥४॥५॥
Ḏẖan sevak safal oh ā▫i▫ā jin Nānak kẖasam pacẖẖāṯā. ||4||5||
Blessed is the slave and fruitful is his advent, who O Nanak, realises Lord.

ਖੁਲਿਆ ਕਰਮੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਭਈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈ ॥
खुलिआ करमु क्रिपा भई ठाकुर कीरतनु हरि हरि गाई ॥
Kẖuli▫ā karam kirpā bẖa▫ī ṯẖākur kīrṯan har har gā▫ī.
My destiny has awakened, the Lord has shown mercy unto me and sing the Lord-Master's praise.

ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਥਾਕਾ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਈ ਸਗਲੀ ਧਾਈ ॥੧॥
स्रमु थाका पाए बिस्रामा मिटि गई सगली धाई ॥१॥
Saram thākā pā▫e bisrāmā mit ga▫ī saglī ḏẖā▫ī. ||1||
My anguish is over, I have found peace and my wandering has all ceased.
|
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਈ ॥
अब मोहि जीवन पदवी पाई ॥
Ab mohi jīvan paḏvī pā▫ī.
I have now obtained the dignity of eternal life.
|
ਚੀਤਿ ਆਇਓ ਮਨਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
चीति आइओ मनि पुरखु बिधाता संतन की सरणाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Cẖīṯ ā▫i▫o man purakẖ biḏẖāṯā sanṯan kī sarṇā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Seeking the refuge of the saints, remember I the Creator-Lord within my mind. Pause.
|
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਨਿਵਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਬੈਰਾਈ ॥
कामु क्रोधु लोभु मोहु निवारे निवरे सगल बैराई ॥
Kām kroḏẖ lobẖ moh nivāre nivre sagal bairā▫ī.
I have banished lust, wrath, avarice and worldly attachment and all mine enemies, too, are wiped off.

ਸਦ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਹਾਜਰੁ ਹੈ ਨਾਜਰੁ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਭਇਓ ਦੂਰਾਈ ॥੨॥
सद हजूरि हाजरु है नाजरु कतहि न भइओ दूराई ॥२॥
Saḏ hajūr hājar hai nājar kaṯėh na bẖa▫i▫o ḏūrā▫ī. ||2||
My Lord is ever present and always in my view, He is not ever far from me.

ਸੁਖ ਸੀਤਲ ਸਰਧਾ ਸਭ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
सुख सीतल सरधा सभ पूरी होए संत सहाई ॥
Sukẖ sīṯal sarḏẖā sabẖ pūrī ho▫e sanṯ sahā▫ī.
Through the saints' assistance I have obtained happiness and peace and all my desires are fulfilled.

ਪਾਵਨ ਪਤਿਤ ਕੀਏ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਥਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
पावन पतित कीए खिन भीतरि महिमा कथनु न जाई ॥३॥
Pāvan paṯiṯ kī▫e kẖin bẖīṯar mahimā kathan na jā▫ī. ||3||
In an instant, the Lord has purified the sinners. His praise can be expressed not.
|
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਖੋਏ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਚਰਣ ਓਟਾਈ ॥
निरभउ भए सगल भै खोए गोबिद चरण ओटाई ॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e sagal bẖai kẖo▫e gobiḏ cẖaraṇ otā▫ī.
I have become fearless and all my fear has departed. The World-Lord's feet are my only refuge.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥੬॥
नानकु जसु गावै ठाकुर का रैणि दिनसु लिव लाई ॥४॥६॥
Nānak jas gāvai ṯẖākur kā raiṇ ḏinas liv lā▫ī. ||4||6||
Nanak hymns Lord's praise and fixes his attention on Him, night and day.

ਜੋ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਇਕੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਗਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥
जो समरथु सरब गुण नाइकु तिस कउ कबहु न गावसि रे ॥
Jo samrath sarab guṇ nā▫ik ṯis ka▫o kabahu na gāvas re.
He, who is All-powerful and the Master of all the virtues; Him, O man, thou sing not ever.
|
ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਇ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਉਆ ਕਉ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਧਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
छोडि जाइ खिन भीतरि ता कउ उआ कउ फिरि फिरि धावसि रे ॥१॥
Cẖẖod jā▫e kẖin bẖīṯar ṯā ka▫o u▫ā ka▫o fir fir ḏẖāvas re. ||1||
What thou hast to leave in an instant; again and again thou seest and runnest after that, O man.
|
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਸਮਾਰਸਿ ਰੇ ॥
अपुने प्रभ कउ किउ न समारसि रे ॥
Apune parabẖ ka▫o ki▫o na samāras re.
Why not contemplate on Lord, O mortal?

ਬੈਰੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਰੰਗ ਰਸਿ ਰਚਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਜਾਰਸਿ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
बैरी संगि रंग रसि रचिआ तिसु सिउ जीअरा जारसि रे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bairī sang rang ras racẖi▫ā ṯis si▫o jī▫arā jāras re. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Thou art engrossed in the association of thine enemies and enjoyment of pleasures. With them thou art burning thy soul, O man. Pause.
|
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਨਿਐ ਜਮੁ ਛੋਡੈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਨ ਪਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥
जा कै नामि सुनिऐ जमु छोडै ता की सरणि न पावसि रे ॥
Jā kai nām suni▫ai jam cẖẖodai ṯā kī saraṇ na pāvas re.
He, on hearing whose Name, Death's Courier releases thee; of Him thou enterest not the sanctuary.

ਕਾਢਿ ਦੇਇ ਸਿਆਲ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਕਉ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਟਿਕਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
काढि देइ सिआल बपुरे कउ ता की ओट टिकावसि रे ॥२॥
Kādẖ ḏe▫e si▫āl bapure ka▫o ṯā kī ot tikāvas re. ||2||
Turn out thou the wretched jackal (of greed) and seek thou the refuge of that Lord.
|
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਜਾਸੁ ਸੁਨਤ ਭਵ ਤਰੀਐ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥
जिस का जासु सुनत भव तरीऐ ता सिउ रंगु न लावसि रे ॥
Jis kā jās sunaṯ bẖav ṯarī▫ai ṯā si▫o rang na lāvas re.
Hearing whose praise, the world ocean is crossed; with Him, thou embraceth not love, O man.

ਥੋਰੀ ਬਾਤ ਅਲਪ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਕੀ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਅਟਕਾਵਸਿ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
थोरी बात अलप सुपने की बहुरि बहुरि अटकावसि रे ॥३॥
Thorī bāṯ alap supne kī bahur bahur atkāvas re. ||3||
Why art thou again and again involved in the dream like short-lived paltry thing?
|
ਭਇਓ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
भइओ प्रसादु क्रिपा निधि ठाकुर संतसंगि पति पाई ॥
Bẖa▫i▫o parsāḏ kirpā niḏẖ ṯẖākur saṯsang paṯ pā▫ī.
When Lord, the ocean of compassion, becomes merciful, the mortal obtain honour through the society of saints.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਛੂਟਾ ਜਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੪॥੭॥
कहु नानक त्रै गुण भ्रमु छूटा जउ प्रभ भए सहाई ॥४॥७॥
Kaho Nānak ṯarai guṇ bẖaram cẖẖūtā ja▫o parabẖ bẖa▫e sahā▫ī. ||4||7||
Says Nanak, when the Lord becomes succourer, one is rid of the illusion of mammon of three qualities.

ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਕਹਾ ਦੁਲਾਰਿਓ ॥
अंतरजामी सभ बिधि जानै तिस ते कहा दुलारिओ ॥
Anṯarjāmī sabẖ biḏẖ jānai ṯis ṯe kahā ḏulāri▫o.
The inner-knower understands all the plans, What can be kept concealed from Him?

ਹਸਤ ਪਾਵ ਝਰੇ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥
हसत पाव झरे खिन भीतरि अगनि संगि लै जारिओ ॥१॥
Hasaṯ pāv jẖare kẖin bẖīṯar agan sang lai jāri▫o. ||1||
Thine hands and feet fall off in a moment, when thou art burnt with fire.
