ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਘਰੁ ੧ मारू महला ३ घरु १ Mārū mėhlā 3 gẖar 1 Maaroo, Third Mehl, First House: ਸਭ ਨਗਰੀ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਭੇ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਹਹਿ ਥਾਵਾ ॥੧॥ सभ नगरी महि एको राजा सभे पवितु हहि थावा ॥१॥ Sabẖ nagrī mėh eko rājā sabẖe paviṯ hėh thāvā. ||1|| In the entire village, there is only One King; all places are sacred. ||1|| ਜਹ ਬੈਸਾਲਹਿ ਤਹ ਬੈਸਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਹ ਭੇਜਹਿ ਤਹ ਜਾਵਾ ॥ जह बैसालहि तह बैसा सुआमी जह भेजहि तह जावा ॥ Jah baisālėh ṯah baisā su▫āmī jah bẖejėh ṯah jāvā. Wherever You seat me, there I sit, O my Lord and Master; wherever You send me, there I go. ਬਾਬਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਵਸਾ ਸਚ ਗਾਵਾ ॥ बाबा देहि वसा सच गावा ॥ Bābā ḏėh vasā sacẖ gāvā. O Baba, while I dwell in this body, let me sing Your True Praises, ਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जा ते सहजे सहजि समावा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jā ṯe sėhje sahj samāvā. ||1|| rahā▫o. that I may intuitively merge with You. ||1||Pause|| ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਪਸ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਏਈ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ ॥ बुरा भला किछु आपस ते जानिआ एई सगल विकारा ॥ Burā bẖalā kicẖẖ āpas ṯe jāni▫ā e▫ī sagal vikārā. He thinks that good and bad deeds come from himself; this is the source of all evil. ਇਹੁ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਹੋਆ ਵਰਤੈ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ इहु फुरमाइआ खसम का होआ वरतै इहु संसारा ॥२॥ Ih furmā▫i▫ā kẖasam kā ho▫ā varṯai ih sansārā. ||2|| Whatever happens in this world is only by the Order of our Lord and Master. ||2|| ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਧਾਤੁ ਸਬਲ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਹੈ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਕਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ॥ इंद्री धातु सबल कहीअत है इंद्री किस ते होई ॥ Inḏrī ḏẖāṯ sabal kahī▫aṯ hai inḏrī kis ṯe ho▫ī. Sexual desires are so strong and compelling; where has this sexual desire come from? ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਕਰੈ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਐਸਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥ आपे खेल करै सभि करता ऐसा बूझै कोई ॥३॥ Āpe kẖel karai sabẖ karṯā aisā būjẖai ko▫ī. ||3|| The Creator Himself stages all the plays; how rare are those who realize this. ||3|| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਏਕ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਤਦੇ ਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥ गुर परसादी एक लिव लागी दुबिधा तदे बिनासी ॥ Gur parsādī ek liv lāgī ḏubiḏẖā ṯaḏe bināsī. By Guru's Grace, one is lovingly focused on the One Lord, and then, duality is ended. ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਣਾ ਸੋ ਸਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੪॥ जो तिसु भाणा सो सति करि मानिआ काटी जम की फासी ॥४॥ Jo ṯis bẖāṇā so saṯ kar māni▫ā kātī jam kī fāsī. ||4|| Whatever is in harmony with His Will, he accepts as True; the noose of Death is loosened from around his neck. ||4|| ਭਣਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਲੇਖਾ ਮਾਗੈ ਕਵਨਾ ਜਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਮਨਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ॥ भणति नानकु लेखा मागै कवना जा चूका मनि अभिमाना ॥ Bẖaṇaṯ Nānak lekẖā māgai kavnā jā cẖūkā man abẖimānā. Prays Nanak, who can call him to account, when the egotistical pride of his mind has been silenced? ਤਾਸੁ ਤਾਸੁ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਜਪਤੁ ਹੈ ਪਏ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੫॥੧॥ तासु तासु धरम राइ जपतु है पए सचे की सरना ॥५॥१॥ Ŧās ṯās ḏẖaram rā▫e japaṯ hai pa▫e sacẖe kī sarnā. ||5||1|| Even the Righteous Judge of Dharma is intimidated and afraid of him; he has entered the Sanctuary of the True Lord. ||5||1|| ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਾ ਥੀਐ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ आवण जाणा ना थीऐ निज घरि वासा होइ ॥ Āvaṇ jāṇā nā thī▫ai nij gẖar vāsā ho▫e. Coming and going in reincarnation no longer exist, when one dwells in the home of the self within. ਸਚੁ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ सचु खजाना बखसिआ आपे जाणै सोइ ॥१॥ Sacẖ kẖajānā bakẖsi▫ā āpe jāṇai so▫e. ||1|| He bestowed the Blessing of His treasure of truth; only He Himself knows. ||1||
