ਆਪੇ ਵੈਦੁ ਆਪਿ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ॥ आपे वैदु आपि नाराइणु ॥ Āpe vaiḏ āp nārā▫iṇ. The Lord Himself is the true physician. ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ सलोक मः ५ ॥ Salok mėhlā 5. Shalok, Fifth Mehl: ਏਹਿ ਵੈਦ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਇਣ ॥ एहि वैद जीअ का दुखु लाइण ॥ Ėhi vaiḏ jī▫a kā ḏukẖ lā▫iṇ. These physicians of the world only burden the soul with pain. ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਖਾਇਣ ॥ गुर का सबदु अम्रित रसु खाइण ॥ Gur kā sabaḏ amriṯ ras kẖā▫iṇ. The Word of the Guru's Shabad is Ambrosial Nectar; it is so delicious to eat. ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਦੂਖ ਮਿਟਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ नानक जिसु मनि वसै तिस के सभि दूख मिटाइण ॥१॥ Nānak jis man vasai ṯis ke sabẖ ḏūkẖ mitā▫iṇ. ||1|| O Nanak, one whose mind is filled with this Nectar - all his pains are dispelled. ||1||
