ਰਤਨਾ ਕੇਰੀ ਗੁਥਲੀ ਰਤਨੀ ਖੋਲੀ ਆਇ ॥ रतना केरी गुथली रतनी खोली आइ ॥ Raṯnā kerī guthlī raṯnī kẖolī ā▫e. The Jeweler has come, and opened up the bag of jewels. ਮਃ ੨ ॥ मः २ ॥ Mėhlā 2. Second Mehl: ਜਿਨ ਗੁਣੁ ਪਲੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਮਾਣਕ ਵਣਜਹਿ ਸੇਇ ॥ जिन गुणु पलै नानका माणक वणजहि सेइ ॥ Jin guṇ palai nānkā māṇak vaṇjahi se▫e. They alone purchase the gem, O Nanak, who have virtue in their purse. ਵਖਰ ਤੈ ਵਣਜਾਰਿਆ ਦੁਹਾ ਰਹੀ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ वखर तै वणजारिआ दुहा रही समाइ ॥ vakẖar ṯai vaṇjāri▫ā ḏuhā rahī samā▫e. The merchandise and the merchant are merged together. ਰਤਨਾ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਅੰਧੇ ਵਤਹਿ ਲੋਇ ॥੨॥ रतना सार न जाणनी अंधे वतहि लोइ ॥२॥ Raṯnā sār na jāṇnī anḏẖe vaṯėh lo▫e. ||2|| Those who do not appreciate the value of the jewels, wander like blind men in the world. ||2|| ਨਉ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਕਾਇਆ ਕੋਟੁ ਹੈ ਦਸਵੈ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਰਖੀਜੈ ॥ नउ दरवाजे काइआ कोटु है दसवै गुपतु रखीजै ॥ Na▫o ḏarvāje kā▫i▫ā kot hai ḏasvai gupaṯ rakẖījai. The fortress of the body has nine gates; the tenth gate is kept hidden.
