Ėk su▫ān kai gẖar gāvṇā Siree Raag, Kabeer Jee: To Be Sung To The Tune Of "Ayk Su-Aan". ਮੋਰ ਮੋਰ ਕਰਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਲਾਡੁ ਧਰਿ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਜਮਰਾਉ ਹਸੈ ॥੧॥ मोर मोर करि अधिक लाडु धरि पेखत ही जमराउ हसै ॥१॥ Mor mor kar aḏẖik lād ḏẖar pekẖaṯ hī jamrā▫o hasai. ||1|| Calling him, "Mine, mine", she fondles him lovingly, while the Messenger of Death looks on and laughs. ||1|| ਜਨਨੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਸੁਤੁ ਬਡਾ ਹੋਤੁ ਹੈ ਇਤਨਾ ਕੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨ ਅਵਧ ਘਟਤੁ ਹੈ ॥ जननी जानत सुतु बडा होतु है इतना कु न जानै जि दिन दिन अवध घटतु है ॥ Jannī jānaṯ suṯ badā hoṯ hai iṯnā ko na jānai jė ḏin ḏin avaḏẖ gẖataṯ hai. The mother thinks that her son is growing up; she does not understand that, day by day, his life is diminishing. ਐਸਾ ਤੈਂ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮਿ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ ऐसा तैं जगु भरमि लाइआ ॥ Aisā ṯaiʼn jag bẖaram lā▫i▫ā. You have misled the world so deeply in doubt. ਕੈਸੇ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਬ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ कैसे बूझै जब मोहिआ है माइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kaise būjẖai jab mohi▫ā hai mā▫i▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o. How can people understand You, when they are entranced by Maya? ||1||Pause|| ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਛੋਡਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਸ ਇਤੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਉ ਮਰਣਾ ॥ कहत कबीर छोडि बिखिआ रस इतु संगति निहचउ मरणा ॥ Kahaṯ Kabīr cẖẖod bikẖi▫ā ras iṯ sangaṯ nihcẖa▫o marṇā. Says Kabeer, give up the pleasures of corruption, or else you will surely die of them. ਰਮਈਆ ਜਪਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਅਨਤ ਜੀਵਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਣਾ ॥੨॥ रमईआ जपहु प्राणी अनत जीवण बाणी इन बिधि भव सागरु तरणा ॥२॥ Rama▫ī▫ā japahu parāṇī anaṯ jīvaṇ baṇī in biḏẖ bẖav sāgar ṯarṇā. ||2|| Meditate on the Lord, O mortal being, through the Word of His Bani; you shall be blessed with eternal life. In this way, shall you cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2|| ਜਾਂ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਭਾਉ ॥ जां तिसु भावै ता लागै भाउ ॥ Jāʼn ṯis bẖāvai ṯā lāgai bẖā▫o. As it pleases Him, people embrace love for the Lord, ਭਰਮੁ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ भरमु भुलावा विचहु जाइ ॥ Bẖaram bẖulāvā vicẖahu jā▫e. and doubt and delusion are dispelled from within. ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੩॥ गुर प्रसादि अंतरि लिव लागै ॥३॥ Gur parsāḏ anṯar liv lāgai. ||3|| By Guru's Grace, the inner being is touched by the Lord's Love. ||3|| ਇਤੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਰਣਾ ॥ इतु संगति नाही मरणा ॥ Iṯ sangaṯ nāhī marṇā. In this association, there is no death. ਉਪਜੈ ਸਹਜੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਤਿ ਜਾਗੈ ॥ उपजै सहजु गिआन मति जागै ॥ Upjai sahj gi▫ān maṯ jāgai. Intuitive peace and poise well up within, and the intellect is awakened to spiritual wisdom. ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ਤਾ ਖਸਮੈ ਮਿਲਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥ हुकमु पछाणि ता खसमै मिलणा ॥१॥ रहाउ दूजा ॥ Hukam pacẖẖāṇ ṯā kẖasmai milṇā. ||1|| rahā▫o ḏūjā. Recognizing the Hukam of His Command, you shall meet with your Lord and Master. ||1||Second. Pause||
